December’s here! And so is Stars’ Annual Catvent for 2022! If you’d like the chance
to develop your kitties + lore further, this is the perfect opportunity to do that
in a fun setting and to earn (rarer) prizes along the way!

Like in previous years, a new prompt will be posted each cs rollover up to Christmas!
This year’s catvent also has guaranteed daily prizes and xp earnings that match the
effort put in. Users who participate in 20 catvent days or more will be eligible for a
very special prize at the end (stay tuned)! Daily prizes + winners will also be rolled
for on our Discord! <33

When does a ‘Catvent Day’ end?
✦ All Catvent prompts will reset at cs rollover! For example, Day One of Catvent will end on 0:00 cs rollover (when it switches from Dec 1st → 2nd). At this point, a new prompt will be posted by faelyn whenever she gets the chance!

Can we draw in response to the prompts?
✦ Yes, absolutely! You may draw and/or write a response to prompts ─ we want everyone to feel included by expressing their thoughts/ideas/lore through their preferred medium!

What’s the word count for?
✦ For any writing and/or art you create, you’ll receive xp accordingly (word count/art scale)! This xp can be used to claim rewards when you post an explore post in our explore thread. We’ll calculate xp totals and release it sometime towards the end of December for you!

When will prizes for each day be posted?
✦ We’ll do our best to have prizes up within a day or two! However, some prizes will be rolled for or judged, which may take some extra time on our part (upto a week) ─ your patience is appreciated! <3

What prizes are available to be won?
✦ An assorted variety! There’s plenty of opportunity to earn rarer items and you’ll likely see things like: edit items, myos, breeding items, stardust and prey/herbs (for explore)!

You mentioned a special prize will be raffled off to users who participate every single day for 20 days (or more) in Catvent ─ what is it?
✦ It’s a secret! We can guarantee it’s a much rarer item and it’ll be well worth the effort, though! c:
✦ Update (Dec 3rd/4th): We've changed the requirements to be eligible for the grand prize (20 posts or more), since we understand the holidays can definitely be busy! So don't fret if you miss a day or two ━ you'll have some breathing room!

In that case, can we go back and complete previous days if we missed it?
✦ Unfortunately, this would be a little unfair to users who had theirs done on time ^^ Try your best to get your responses done before rollover!

Is there a minimum/maximum word count?
✦ Not at all! Feel free to write as much/as little as you feel comfy with to answer the prompt!
✦ Update (Dec 11th): As of Dec 11th, we'll specify whether the prompt is meant to be short/medium/long to help you out (especially if you're on a time crunch)! You are still welcome to write more if you wish! <3

I would like to participate, but I don't own any cats. Can I still participate?
✦ Of course! Feel free to use our npcs here as you'd like! You're free to adapt them to fit the prompt ^^

Some aspect of the prompt (ex. weather) doesn't quite fit my clan's lore/setting. Would I be able to answer it in 'x' way instead?
✦ Absolutely! Feel free to adapt any of the prompts to fit your lore/setting! As long as the response is somewhat related/relevant to the prompt, that works perfectly! <3
