Your cats had bad luck for a while, only finding rotten things before coming across a burrow of voles, Mansi was able to snatch a vole before it dipped back into its hole, at least its something. +2FP, +2XP
The battle with the badger left the herbs of the area shredded, your cats returned home with none.

A badger surprised your cats! They lunged out of the brush and took a swipe at Dipper but missed, Mansi & Milo took the opportunity to launch an assault at the crazed beast, landing a few blows that didn't seem to do much damage to the animal. “hey laurelgaze! have you decided to join us?” shadow smiled at the old hairless she-cat. laurelgaze padded over to the small patrol. she looked grave and haunted.
“yes. I’ve scented a fox by silverpelt’s mouth.” everyone gasped. foxstar shifted, worried.
”what about the kits? are they safe?” the leader said, a growl rising in his throat.
laurelgaze nodded, “I left them in the cave of stars, with some of our prey stores.” a relived sighed came from the small group, though shadow had wandered off.
“we need to get rid of this threat.” foxstar said, determined, just as shadow came back with a frantic look on his face.
shadow took a big breath before yowling to them, “I’ve scented the fox! it’s in the direction of silverpelt’s mouth, like laurelgaze said.” the cats all jumped into motion. foxstar led the way, and soon, all four cats had the scent of fox on their noses.

Roseclan

Rumblestep, lynxfur, and fishspots looked up at the sky. The sun was still high so they decided to bring the fresh prey to the meeting spot where they would find emberbell, meadowlight, and hibiscusdrop. Upon arrival the latter group was standing proudly over a cottontail and some worms. Fishspots and lynxfur gazed at the cottontail in amazment.
"How did you manage to catch it!" They asked. Emberbell gave a few emberrassed licks to his chest while hibiscusdrop eagerly launched into the tale.
"Emberbell was really brave and swift to catch it in its own nest!" She boasted, having finished the story.
Lynxfur and fishspots were still gawking meanwhile meadowlight and Emberbell looked like they wanted nothing more than to move away.
"Yeah well rumblestep caught two greater sage mice!" Fishspots meowed excitedly.
Rumblestep finally took that moments opening in the conversation to interject his plan for the patrol.
"Since its still sun high we should continue to hunt. It might be best to choose a different area this time though since we will have no doubt scared off prey in these parts." The others nodded in agreement.
"Hibiscusdrop, you take your cats to the marshclan border. I'll take these two by the ocean of wisdom." Meadowlight blinked at rumblestep to show she understood. Admiration glowing in her eyes. Hibiscusdrop began the journey to the border the others following pursuit behined her.
Lynxfur and fishspots gave a meaningful look to eachother then back to rumblestep who immediatly felt like they had some kind of dirty secret hanging over him.
"What is it with you two?" He asked.
The new warriors once again looked to eachother wondering if they should say anything. Then fishspots couldnt hold it in any longer.
"Meadowlight is such a suck up! Shes only agreeing to everything you say because she likes you and its super annoying how she is acting like she is older and better than us." The words tumbled out of her mouth like a river threatening to flow over the bank. Rumblestep was taken aback by the younger cats confession. Had meadowlight been sucking up to him? He didnt think so. She was being respectful he thought. Not that it mattered. Rumblestep hadnt even thought about romance inside the clan since Emberbell met hibiscusdrop over eight moons ago. Rumblestep shook his head; they needed to focus.
"Whatever, lets back to hunting" he meowed curtly as he bounded towards the dry river bank full of shiny white stones the medicine cats called "the sea of wisdom".

"Dawn patrol, let's head out."

Boarfang stood at the entrance to the camp. In front of him stood a relatively large patrol. The clan was low on food, with so many new cats having joined lately. Minkwish and Swanripple were also low on herb stocks. The patrol was being sent off to hunt for herbs and prey.

"Keep your eyes out for herbs while you hunt. The medicine cats have asked us to bring back whatever we can find." The marbled bengal called to the group. A few cats nodded.

"I trained as a medicine cat for a while when I was an apprentice, I can help other cats find what we're looking for." Petalbreeze, a calico tom with a short tail, called to the patrol leader.

Boarfang nodded. That was good, any help would be appreciate because StarClan knew he had no idea about herbs at all.

"I'm going to split us up. Too many cats together will scare off any potential prey." The tom looked around as he added up groups of cats in his head. Putting certain cats together was a good strategy, he knew some worked better together than others.

"Maelstromsong and I will head to the beach, to look for any fish." He nodded to the gray molly. Her tail puffed up with excitement. She was a really good shallow-fisher. "Birchstripe and Laurelsong, I know you two work well together as mates, so I'll be sending you off towards Star Point."

He turned to the last two cats. "Petalbreeze and Fignose. You'll be heading towards the Bear Cave. They should be hibernating soon, but keep an eye out. There's lots of herbs up that way as well, which is why I'm sending Petalbreeze up there."

Boarfang turned to face the group. He nodded.

"Let's go, BayClan."
