Clan of the Rising Fox
Foxstar felt a growl bubble up in his throat, and he then narrowed his eyes. He didn’t want a fight, the cat just wanted to scare it off. So then hopefully it wouldn’t come back. But if the skunk showed signs of attack, then Foxstar would engage. He let the growl come back, and looked directly at the skunk. Foxstar himself didn’t know this, but to the skunk, it probably looked like the cat was challenging it. And Foxstar always had a fighting spirit.

Lynxfrost yowled with the pain of the injury, falling back. Palecinder and Swanstrike dive in front to protect their Commander, only getting fiercer. Prideful Swanstrike would never back down, and the injury to any member would have the others banding together to defeat the threat. Swanstrike led the charge, leaping for its face as Palecinder feinted to the side, going for the fox's flank.

They had left him. Sure he didn't like thinking about it anymore, but what else was there to do
when your paw pads were worn away from all the walking you have done? 'Shelter, Dodger, focus,'
he hissed to himself, pushing on, was his paws begged for him to stop. The sounds of waves on
rocks, and the cries of birds above made the tom hesitate before stepping onto the smoothed rocks.
The eagles were eating their catch for the day, while the ravens tried to take it from their larger
counterpart. Sniffing the air, he looked for anything that would satisfy the hunger within his belly
and give him extra strength to continue on his way. Walking to the edge of the waters furest reach,
he could taste the salt in the air, and nothing else. The eagle still not giving up it's meal, Dodger
moved on his way, back into the grass, brush and eventual woodlands.

Having gotten to a warm space within the exposed roots of a tree, the tom curled up for the night.
Images flashed before his closed eyes. A mountain range, covered in snow, with a lake at the base
and animals gathering for water. Waking with a start, the tom continued on his search, unsure of
the direction he needed to go, but hoping to find his way soon. The sun rising in front of him, made
his eyes hurt for a slight second as they adjusted to the new light. A slight breeze whispered on the
wind, made the tom stop and sniff at the air again. No other cat was around, but vole was
abundant this early morning. there was no way he could possibly catch anything, but he was
determined to try. He had to if he was to survive on his own out here. catching the closest scent
trail, he walked slowly and silently as close as he felt comfortable. 'Okay Dodger, now just like you
saw the barn cats do it at the house.' He took another step closer. 'Jump!'

Images of a river of ice and snow flashed before his eyes. He had heard the humans talk about them
before. Maybe he needed a new name to change his luck in the outdoors. "Dodger," he mewed out
loud, scraping at the dirt, "you are no longer a part of me. I am now Glacier, and I will make my
way in this new life. Goodbye, oldfriend." Placing a small stick in the hole, he filled it back in with
the dirt. patting it down, he stood an continued on his way. Home would be found soon, but when?

Foxstar was thankful that the skunk had lounged but missed. It gave him time to plan his attack, but the leader still had to think quick. He bared his teeth, growling at the thing. Foxstar unsheathed his claws, sheathed claws hardly ever did any damage. And the skunk, in front of him, was Foxstar’s new target. He started an attack, going for the skunk. Hopefully his attack landed, otherwise Foxstar would be in some trouble. He didn’t want that kind of trouble, even if the Trick inside did.

The leader made a face. Foxstar had forgotten how bad that smell was. Foxstar stood there, holding his ground. Then the cat couldn’t take it anymore, and turned around to escape that horrid scent. He ran, but not to camp, for if he did that, the skunk could follow him to the rest of the Clan. And that wouldn’t end well. Foxstar came to the edge of the territory and sighed, why did he engage anyway? That had been a bad idea. But that was just like Foxstar, impulsive and territorial. He hoped he was safe for the time being. But he was hungry. No, starving. Was there any prey around? Wait. He needed to go get the prey he had hunted by the lake! Foxstar mumbled, hoping the skunk had gone, and started to walk to the lake again.

He flicked his tail as he continued. Just a few steps from his buried prey, he sniffed a curious mouse. He snapped its spine easily and crunched down to fill his stomach, deciding to eat this time. He ate another mouse from the buried pile and stood up. As he continued, he found some Burnet. He noted to collect it later.

He continued on, and tripped. He cursed and turned back to his feet. A small rock with the words Common Edit. No number. He frowned and picked it up, and decided to collect the Burnet and bury it with the rest of his items. When he turned this time, oh. The rogue popped up..again. He growled slightly, but the rogue seemed more calm..what was this?

Clan of the Rising Fox
Foxstar was tired, and hungry. And the sun was going down. It was time to head back to camp and sleep. He picked up the mouse and scraps, then walked back into the comfort of camp. Foxstar dropped them off in the fresh kill pile. He then took two of the mice, and a scrap. ( added up to equal 5 FP, -50% HUP? ) The cat wolfed the food down, and turned around to the Leader’s den. The sun was down now, at least nights weren’t that cold in Green-Leaf. But what would they be like in Leaf-Bare? Foxstar had never been out in the wild during the cold days. That was his final thought as the Leader drifted off into a dreamless sleep.

Foxstar awoke to the sound of bird song. A beautiful thing to wake up to, some might say. Foxstar yawned, and then stood up, still a bit tired from yesterday. He stretched, padding out of the den. It really was early. Very early. He instinctively walked out of camp, Foxstar didn’t even make the decision consciously. And then there he was, outside of camp in the Clan’s territory. He was surprised for a second, but then the cat shrugged, might as well do something productive rather than lying around all day.
