The empty two-leg den was silent for awhile as the two cats walked tentitively inside. Heart beats after larksky's call into the void they heard it bounce back to them. They thought nothing of it. The two cats looked at eeachother expectantly. Then a blurr of black fur landed on larksky thrashing wildly. Lilacstar leaps into the fight to help the med cat fight off the attacker. Luckily they were able to fend off the cat together. The black cat retreated with a limp into the forest. Lilacstar and larksky were left breathing heavily and larksky noticed a minor injury on lilacstars's belly -5% health, requires no herbs, 0 posts of rest (can send cat out again) +5XP for fight (sorry you keep rolling for predators 😅)

Lilacstar stumbled around at the sight of her own blood. It wasn't that bad but she thought it would be funny. Lilacstar watched as a sleeping shrew came into sight. Carefully she pounced and killed it. +1shrew, +2FP, +2XP
While lilacstar rested larksky decided it would be a good idea now more than ever to search for herbs. Larksky carefully checked ever place she knew of to find herbs but was having a bit of trouble. The she-cat was looking around when something in her path tripped her. It was an old wood plank from the two-leg home. Larksky noticed some green poking through and pushed it up to see what it could be. Larksky let out a mreow of surprise, she found something! +2bright-eye, 2XP

Krestelstar looked proudly after the two cats disapearing back to camp. With the cool breeze came the scent of prey! Opening his jaws he scented to find where the prey was hiding. He didnt care what it was as long as it would fill somecat's belly. Krestelstar followed the scent to an old tree, it's limbs were dangling and the bark was dry. He thought he heard something tapping on the tree. He pressed his ear against the bark and to his pleasant surprise heard the sound of tiny feet. It must be a mouse nest! Krestelstar waited a long time at the tree trying to find the entrance. A small nose poked out from under a root and krestelstar knew where it was. The mouse quickly jolted back inside but it was too late. Krestelstar used his paws to dig around the root and into the tree. His claws caught something furry and he pulled it out catching the mouse +1mouse, +2FP, +2XP
But that wasn't all! Upon inspecting the mouse krestelstar noticed it was clinging to a plant. It was celadine! A very useful herb. +1celadine, +1XP

Due to recent happenings in life i am back for a short while.

NorthClan
Ryestar decided today they would go on patrol by the village. They headed out of camp with a sigh, still frustrated with the lack of cats. Ryestar would make due for now, but unless they wanted their clan to fail, they would need to find someone soon.

Putting aside the issue of clan-mates for another day, Ryestar made their way down to the small village at the west side of their territory, on the lookout for any prey on the way there. After a few minutes, they arrived at the village, and almost immediately hid in a bush as a twoleg passed. You could never be too careful.

Ryestar scoured the village streets and boundaries for herbs, prey, and cats, hoping and praying they would find something interesting today. Something shiny caught the ginger cat's eye, and they walked closer to the object to investigate. As soon as they got closer, they recoiled in surprise. Shiny metal jaws lay open on the ground. Ryestar had seen that those jaws can do to a cat, and they backed away in fear, continuing exploring with extreme caution.

Shoreclan

She continued through the forest and scented the air, tracking prey again. At least, so she thought. Shellstar came across scraps and sighed heavily, knowing she was down on her luck. Despite this, she picked up the scraps and buried them along with the ones she had found earlier. Shellstar still didn't know who - or what - was leaving the prey behind.

She returned to the plants and stared at them deeply, sitting down in front of them. Although it was useless, she closed her eyes and willed them to grow. If not, Shellstar willed Starclan to grow them for her.

When she opened her eyes, she found that her desperate tries were only that. The plants swayed in the wind in front of her, and she frowned. Why weren't they growing in general? Shellstar didn't care that they hadn't automatically grown, but it was getting frustrating that the herbs wouldn't thrive in newleaf.

Shellstar stood up and stretched, her legs aching from the past few moons of remaining in her camp to stay warm. At least it was warmer on the beach, and she preferred being by the salty sea. The scent of the ocean calmed her down.

The cream she-cat padded through the forest again, hoping to find more than scraps to bring back.

Although fearful Ryestar continued to tread carefully through northclan territory. A loud metallic clash and the sound of bones crunching caught their attention. Ryestar looked back at the metalic jaws they had nearly stepped on to see what used to be some kind of small mammal. Ryestar carefully pulled out what they could of the prey which ended up looking more like scraps +1scraps, +1FP, +1XP
After tangling with the metalic jaws Ryestar continued their search. They wandere along the territory everyonce in awhile they would set a scent marker. Ryestar luckily found some herbs while marking a shrub +1feverfew, +1XP

Shellstar felt like something was watching her. Carefully she looked around to see if she could spot anything unusual. Sure enough shellstar spotted a strange cat behined a bush watching her every move. Shellstar called out to the cat who came out from hiding, they were scrawny and weak looking. Perhaps they needed help. Shellstar decided to let the cat join shoreclan. +1common MYO

Shellstar decided to continue searching for prey hoping to find more than just some scraps. A small splashing noise caught her attention and she turned to look at the shore. Something was causing a disturbance in the water sending droplets of water flying every which way. Shellstar stepped into view of the shore and saw a small fish that had gotten stuck between some rocks. Shellstar smiled to herself before using her quick paws to rolls the fish onto land. The fish floundered for a few heartbeats before shellstar finished it off. +1small fish, 2FP, +2XP
Despite her recent luck with prey, shellstar still could not find any herbs. The feeling of hopelessness and despair sinking in this time more than ever. Perhaps starclan was punishing her and her clanmates for some mischief.

Bramblehawk managed to catch a single mouse while hunting. It was much more peaceful when he was alone. Luckily mapleberry was a kind and understanding she-cat and agreed to go seperate ways. +1mouse, +2FP, +2XP

The jungle was massive. Blue was in absolute awe, and it took all of her willpower to not step on a twig, which would probably lead to her untimely death this deep into the mainland. Predators such as big cats, venomous snakes, and an occasional aggressive monkey roamed here. However, with predators come prey, and the jungle was chock-full of it. That's what Blue was on the hunt for. And if she got lucky? Herbs. The Ancestors had taught her well when it came to healing, though not nearly as well as a Kaiora, a healer of the tribe.
Focus.
Blue shook her head, pausing for a moment to breathe. She was alone. If she wanted to survive, she'd need to keep her head on straight. The jungle did odd things to cats, and Blue had no intention of dying out here. This certainly wasn't her first time on the mainland, she just hadn't been back in a while- she'd stayed on Home Island for a long time now, and had even braved the swim to the other islands. But the mainland would give her a much easier time finding prey. However, she was getting more and more distracted every second. It was unfairly gorgeous here. With a smile, Blue tilted her head up, grinning as she took in the height of the trees. It was as if they touched the sky. She couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place to live.

Kestrelstar returned to camp with his haul. His mate Spottedshadow hurried up to him, tail held high. "How was the patrol?" she asked, weaving around him.

Kestrelstar set his catch down on the fresh-kill pile, then trotted over to the medicine cats' den. He couldn't very well talk with his mouth full! He dropped the herbs at the entrance for his medicine cats to find, then padded over to Spottedshadow.

"It went well," he answered, "but there's still not enough here to feed the whole Clan. Want to go out with me?"

Spottedshadow grinned. "Of course!" Just then her stomach growled. "Right after a meal," she added.

She grabbed the scraps that Kestrelstar had brought in and started eating away. Kestrelstar joined her, devouring the food. As he sat up to lick his jaws, he realized that Spottedshadow had been right; he had been hungrier than he had first realized.

Full and satiated, they headed out of camp and into the forest. It was alive with birdsong, and Kestrelstar breathed in the scents of green, living things. Leafbare was finally over. Newleaf had taken its hold on the forest.

Milo awoke, his flickering eyelashes rising as his eyes slowly opened. He blinked a few times before he let out a big yawn, glimmering teeth on display. Where am I? He thought, alarmed. He looked around wildly and let out a deep breath, allowing his shoulders that had tensed up relax again. "That's right." Muttered Milo, whiskers twitching. It'd only been a day since he'd left the barn, and he wasn't used to waking up inside a giant, burnt out tree in the middle of the forest he had only been able to gaze at before. His bones ached from last night's rest. He leaned down, stretching his paws in front of him. "Ow. My back." He grunted. He was young, only a year and a half, but he felt a lot like a grandpa at the moment. The hay he usually slept on was scratchy, but it was soft. He had meant to collect a ball of moss or two or some feathers as bedding. Or even grass! But he had been far too tired from the hike here. He let out another sigh, and his stomach started to growl. Milo grew embarrassed and opened his mouth to excuse himself before realizing he was completely alone. I'll never get used to this. He blinked. But I was made to do more than catch mice for some idiot twolegs. He clambered out of the tree and into the forest, staring in wonder. "There's so much to explore, anyways." He mumbled, before mentally scolding himself. You've got to stop talking to yourself, Milo. that's the first sign of going crazy! (269 words)

Doeleap padded out of the warriors den and into the main part of camp. The tabby bicolor swept her gaze across the open area. She noticed that she was the only one there. Ginger-root must be in the nursery playing with his younger brother she thought. It had been two moons since the arrival of their newest clanmate. Lynxstar was happy that he was born in Newleaf and not the harsh conditions of Leafbare. Timberkit's entrance into their lives came as a surprise to Doeleap. As she had hardly taken notice of Lynxstar's shape. She was probably able to hide it so well because she only carried the one kit and he wasn't that big either. She cleared her head and plodded over to the nursery. It was already mid-day and she and Ginger-root hadn't been on a patrol yet. She pushed through the grassy screen that covered the opening to the den and continued inside the expansive nursery. As she suspected, Ginger-root was playing Mossball with Timberkit. The scene playing out before her was quite endearing. Timberkit would energetically pass the ball to the older tom, who in turn then passed it back to him. Albeit a bit gentler than the little tom did, but he was still enjoying himself. Doeleap let them play a little while longer before speaking up. "Ginger-root, don't you think it's time to go on a patrol? It's already Sun-high and we haven't caught anything yet and the prey pile is dwindling. It's cute that you love spending time with your brother like this but we have a job to do." She meowed in a curt tone. "Oh, right. Sorry Doeleap! Time sorta got away from me I guess." The tom let out a small chuckle before continuing. "We'll head out right now. It was fun playing with you Timberkit, but I gotta go now." He mewed to the small tom, bending down to give him a quick lick on the head. Timberkit let out a mewl of disapproval and sadly padded back to Lynxstar. "We'll be back soon! I promise. But you get some rest first ok?" Ginger-root said as he walked out of the den. The little brown tabby curled up next to his mother and promptly fell asleep. Doeleap and Ginger-root made their way across camp and into the forest, where they hoped to find some prey. The prey-pile in it's current state was pitifully small and they needed to correct that straight away. The duo padded deeper into the forest, Doeleap opened her jaws wide to take in all the smells.

Sifting through the garbage felt like more of a chore than it did a means of survival. A gross, disgusting chore, one that Tallstar never would've even considered doing in the past when she was still a kittypet. After all, going into the yucky trash meant getting her fur dirty, and she just couldn't have that - not with the sky looking so barren, dashing her hopes of getting a nice sun shower after this. No, she much rather preferred the food her twolegs had given her in the past.
The former kittypet glanced around, hunting for any sort of food. Well, you couldn't really call it hunting, could you? She was digging through trash, for god's sake! Some belle of the ball she was, going through scraps and dirt, hunting for each and every little morsel she could scrounge up...
Tallstar sighed and continued on, looking for food in the alleyway while she hummed a small tune to herself. That should keep her mind off the stench while she worked to find her next meal, right?

Blue was too wrapped up in trying to survive in the hostile environment to catch any prey.
As blue looked at the birds in the beautiful tree she admired the bark. After a few moments her heart seemed to leap out of her chest. She smiled to herself, this must be a willow tree! Who knew they grew in the jungle? +1willow bark, +1XP perhaps the jungle isnt the worst place to grow a clan.

Spottedshadow and krestelstar were happy to be hunting together again. Krestelstar appreciated his mate's perky demeanor. Not to mention she is the most beautiful she-cat in all of cliffclan! Embarrassed by his blunder krestelstar decide he needed to concentrate a little harder on the task at paw. He scoured the lands as best he could and when he found what he was looking for he felt the pressure in his chest melt away. +1burdock root, +1XP all in all new leaf was off to a good start in cliffclan.

Milo, who had awoken to his belly rumbling decided to go check out his new territory. If he was going to stay here he needed to place scent markers so other cats know of his presence. if there are any other cats around he mumbled to himself, Milo flinched and scolded himself as he remembered thats what crazy cats do. He needed to find some cat to talk to. Just then a shrew practically scurried over his paws. Milo reacted quickly to catch it. +1shrew, +2FP, +2XP go Milo, go, go, go Milo he meowed chearfully before realizing he was doing it again.
After hurrying his prey for later he continued to scan the area. Luckily for him he was able to find some sweet sledge in the meadow nearby. Then again he found some lovage in the ravine. +2sweet sedge, +2lovage, +4XP

Ginger-root felt his senses were hightened from his somewhat intense game of mossball with timberkit. He was glad to be a part of his little brother's life. Ginger-root stood still as a statue and motioned with his tail for doeleap to do the same. He watched as a mouse nibbled on a fallen nut completely unaware of the cat's presence. Ginger-root motioned for doeleap to take the lead seeing as she was the elder, even if it was only by a few moons, more experienced warrior. Doeleap blinked in gratitude before she snagged the rodent with her claws and killed it. +1mouse, +2FP, +2XP
They continued the patrol as long as they could afford. Neither however were able to locate any herbs. No use worrying though, they knew the medicine cat had planted some more herbs a few moons ago and they were bound to grow soon.

Tallstar hummed her tune as she sifted through piles of garbage. Holding her breath as she did so she couldnt smell the yuck. She used her paws to move around the trash and managed to find a dead mouse. Tallstar cringed in disgust, what could have killed it? Tallstar shook out her pelt and gave herself a much needed bath before she searched any further. Her luxurious fawn fur was dull from the lack of sun light. But she couldnt be bothered with that right now, she had bigger fish to sun dry. Her mouth watered mmmm fish. Wait...whats a fish? she had only heard the word before from her two-legs. Tallstar looked around for anything she might be able to collect. Luckily she managed to find some herbs near a large metal thing.+1burdock root, +1XP
