The black-furred tomcat glared at his old tanager nest. He saw his reflection glaring straight back at him from the transparent wall; more importantly, he saw darkness. "Curse the stars..." he whispered to himself. His tanagers were gone. Just... gone.

"Was this your plan?" Manchineel murmured, his voice slowly rising into a deep growl. "To rid my tanagers so that I have no home? Nowhere else to go?"

Two nights ago, a wisp-like feline walked in his dream, begging for him to sleep in the forest for one night—just one night. The mysterious feline spoke of leadership and destiny, each of which Manchineel shot down, but to stop their incessant whining, the tomcat went out—just one night.

"You promised to leave me alone! Just one night," he scoffed. "Now what? Just forever?" Now, his tanagers were gone—gone like the wind, and he would likely never see them again.

"You pathetic dead, star-cursed cats! Go find a different tom to build your clan!" Turned out they left within hours of his disappearance. Manchineel always slept inside; his tanagers thought he died, the tomcat bet.

Yowling at the abandoned dwelling would do him no good. With chuff of disgust, Manchineel pivoted, and he strode, tail held high, back towards the forest. "Fine," he growled, feeling somewhat foolish speaking with no other feline around. "I'll build your clan, but mark my words, I will do it alone. Star-cursed cats, ruined my life—and I will ruin your death right back!"

The tom paused for a moment and squinted, gazing up at the bright sky. Watch me win or watch me fail, he thought, tail lashing. Manchineel was tired of yelling, and frankly, any cats within a ten jaguar-bounds would think him insane if he kept the noise up. I refuse to make that mistake again. I will never accept your help.

After killing the mouse ashpelt notices the mouse was leading her somewhere. After looking the direction it was going ashpelt found some herbs! +2raspberry leaves, +2 thyme, +4XP

It must be a bad day because the group didnt find any herbs either. Is the clan in danger?

Ashpelt holds the mouse up and says “look what I found!” She flicks her grey tail and grins. Ravenwing yowls with pleasure and says “hooray fo you Ashpelt” she cents the air and says “do you smell that?” Ashpelt berries her prey and says “it’s a thrush” she spots it in the air and leaps for it.

Sunstar decided to hunt by the river, it lead to him watching the water, where little silver gleams of fish swam. His claws were quick, the death of the small fish wasn't painful. +2FP, +2XP
At the water's edge, Sunstar picked some Water Hemlock, he may not have known too much about herbs, but he wanted to bring something back. He was lucky it was a true herb and not just some odd grass. While in another area, Crowmask had not found food, but had indeed found some Bindweed +2XP

Your cats had bad luck for a while, only finding rotten things before coming across a burrow of voles, Mansi was able to snatch a vole before it dipped back into its hole, at least its something. +2FP, +2XP
The battle with the badger left the herbs of the area shredded, your cats returned home with none.

A badger surprised your cats! They lunged out of the brush and took a swipe at Dipper but missed, Mansi & Milo took the opportunity to launch an assault at the crazed beast, landing a few blows that didn't seem to do much damage to the animal. It eventually retreated, leaving your cats battered but uninjured. +5 XP

In her new territory, the prey were unaware of the possibility of cats. Ivystar found it very easy to catch a mouse before it could run and hide. The rest scattered, wary now of a new predator in the area. +2FP, +2XP
Ivystar has found a rare vibrant meadow! Herbs of all kinds are found here, but she only had enough space in her teeth to carry two of them. She chose a watermint, and deathberries. +2XP

The mouse Ivystar caught appears to have been sick! Poor Ivystar is now sick and requires Watermint to get better! Each post made will deteriorate their health, be careful!

Kettlestar searched for prey, but all she could scrounge up was some scraps. It's better than nothing.

Ashpelt leaps at the thrush with claws unscathed. She landed square on its back but the force of her weight and claws shredded the shrew to pieces leaving only scraps left +1scraps, +1FP, +1XP
Unfortunetly there were no herbs around this time. Guess ashpelt's luck has run out.

Clan of the Rising Fox

[ I gained +140 exp from the event prompts. ]

“hey laurelgaze! have you decided to join us?” shadow smiled at the old hairless she-cat. laurelgaze padded over to the small patrol. she looked grave and haunted.
“yes. I’ve scented a fox by silverpelt’s mouth.” everyone gasped. foxstar shifted, worried.
”what about the kits? are they safe?” the leader said, a growl rising in his throat.
laurelgaze nodded, “I left them in the cave of stars, with some of our prey stores.” a relived sighed came from the small group, though shadow had wandered off.
“we need to get rid of this threat.” foxstar said, determined, just as shadow came back with a frantic look on his face.
shadow took a big breath before yowling to them, “I’ve scented the fox! it’s in the direction of silverpelt’s mouth, like laurelgaze said.” the cats all jumped into motion. foxstar led the way, and soon, all four cats had the scent of fox on their noses.

Roseclan

Rumblestep, lynxfur, and fishspots looked up at the sky. The sun was still high so they decided to bring the fresh prey to the meeting spot where they would find emberbell, meadowlight, and hibiscusdrop. Upon arrival the latter group was standing proudly over a cottontail and some worms. Fishspots and lynxfur gazed at the cottontail in amazment.
"How did you manage to catch it!" They asked. Emberbell gave a few emberrassed licks to his chest while hibiscusdrop eagerly launched into the tale.
"Emberbell was really brave and swift to catch it in its own nest!" She boasted, having finished the story.
Lynxfur and fishspots were still gawking meanwhile meadowlight and Emberbell looked like they wanted nothing more than to move away.
"Yeah well rumblestep caught two greater sage mice!" Fishspots meowed excitedly.
Rumblestep finally took that moments opening in the conversation to interject his plan for the patrol.
"Since its still sun high we should continue to hunt. It might be best to choose a different area this time though since we will have no doubt scared off prey in these parts." The others nodded in agreement.
"Hibiscusdrop, you take your cats to the marshclan border. I'll take these two by the ocean of wisdom." Meadowlight blinked at rumblestep to show she understood. Admiration glowing in her eyes. Hibiscusdrop began the journey to the border the others following pursuit behined her.
Lynxfur and fishspots gave a meaningful look to eachother then back to rumblestep who immediatly felt like they had some kind of dirty secret hanging over him.
"What is it with you two?" He asked.
The new warriors once again looked to eachother wondering if they should say anything. Then fishspots couldnt hold it in any longer.
"Meadowlight is such a suck up! Shes only agreeing to everything you say because she likes you and its super annoying how she is acting like she is older and better than us." The words tumbled out of her mouth like a river threatening to flow over the bank. Rumblestep was taken aback by the younger cats confession. Had meadowlight been sucking up to him? He didnt think so. She was being respectful he thought. Not that it mattered. Rumblestep hadnt even thought about romance inside the clan since Emberbell met hibiscusdrop over eight moons ago. Rumblestep shook his head; they needed to focus.
"Whatever, lets back to hunting" he meowed curtly as he bounded towards the dry river bank full of shiny white stones the medicine cats called "the sea of wisdom".
