Before you is an ancient library. The ley lines, known to guide those in need, had brought you here. After a brief moment's hesitation, you sturdied your courage with a nod and a grasp at your bag strap that drapes over your chest, and stepped inside. Shelves and shelves of books long forgotten line the magical hall. In the center is an age old table, the sun shining down in a beam upon it from the broken roof. On it were long empty potion bottles, and one long open book.

"The Study of Whisperwyrms and Their Correlation With the Arcane".

Curiously, you gently take the book in your hands and look at the cover- a brown leather embossed with gold leaf. The title has chipped away slightly, but the head of a stoic dragon with mana circles around it is curious. You set the book back down and decide to read through a few pages. While they are fragile, they hold some interesting wisdom. Whisperwyrms were an ancient species of dragons, named for their whisperings of arcane knowledge. It's also stated that their silken hair and magic properties of their bodies sold for a wealth of money, and is likely a contributing factor to their extinction.

A noise nearby startles you out of your reading. Looking up from your book, you're face to face with a Whisperwyrm. It does not seek to harm you, it would seem. It simply sniffs you with curiosity, and sits across the table from you, imitating the position you've sat down in. Curiously, you observe the drake. It's hair is that of a beautiful grey mist, it's scales an off white and blue. Magic courses through this creature's very being, obvious Ley Lines shift and bend across it's body, like that of a galaxy. Certain points along the ley lines sparkle like stars. It tilts its head at you, pink arcane eyes meeting yours.

Ever so slowly, you reach out and offer your hand and ... it leans into it, pressing it's nose into the palm of your hand. You smile as you enjoy the company of your new companion.

Standard:

By engaging with this species, you agree to abide by site and species rules of engagement.
These rules were last updated August 3 2024

    No Tolerance Rules:
Breaking a no tolerance rule(s) is grounds for severe punishment, including, and up to, a permanent ban with or without appeal depending on the severity of the case.
➤ Respect above all else, period.
➤ Cancel culture, doxxing, stalking, and other illegal activities are ground for an immediate ban from the species, discord server, and a report to CS staff. Your drakes will be revoked and your ban will not be appealed. If neccessary, proper authorities will be contacted.
➤ Do not put yourself in the position of a staff member. If you are not a staff member, you do not have any authority. Contact staff for any issues.
➤ Discrimination against anyone for any reason or engaging in discriminatory acts is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, racism, sexism, homophobia, ableism, etc.
➤ Do not share someone else's personal information, even if that person makes it easily accessible. It is NOT YOUR information, thus it is not yours to share.
➤ Spreading or sharing links, programs, etc, to gain someone's log in info, IP, etc, is grounds for a permanent ban, report to CS staff and is strictly prohibited.

General rules:

➤ Respect is key above all else.
➤ Whisperwyrms is a closed species. Staff are the only people allowed to make adopts. You may obtain a starter MYO through the starter MYO color in, and may gain other custom made drakes through the use of MYOs.
➤ Users may own an unlimited amount of drakes, but may only own one starter. They may only win up to 4 main adopts / RUs per month. Nursery batches, myos, readopts, etc, do NOT count towards this limit.
➤ Any Whisperwyrms content you create must be CS appropriate and follow CS rules, otherwise, content does NOT need to follow world / species lore.
➤ Do not mini mod any part of the species if you are not staff.

Trading, Buying, and Selling
➤ Buying and selling is not allowed at this time.
➤ Drakes may not be traded for other closed species at this time, and may only be traded for other drakes.
➤ If you trade your starter MYO, whether it is made or not, you do not qualify for another one. It is one per person no matter what happens to your starter custom. It does not matter if trading away your starter sets you back to being a non owner.
➤ Drakes may be traded for other drakes, myos, and in species items.

➤ Character Usage:
➤ Your drakes may be any sexuality, gender, etc. You may draw, write, and roleplay them however you wish.
➤ Your drake is allowed to be used outside the species in terms of writing, drawing, etc.

➤ References:
➤ Your drakes references may not be edited to add any rarity edit without the proper item, after which it must be approved.
➤ You may, however, add non rarity traits and accessories at any given time without the need for approval.
➤ You may not use a different rarity trait to mimic that of a higher rarity, as well as must make it obvious that accessories are accessories by providing a separate reference without the items on.
    ➤ Co-owning a drake is not allowed.

➤ Breeding/Nursery:
➤ Drakes may be any sexual orientation and can breed with any gender.
➤ Incestuous and pedophilic relationships are not allowed, and will result in a ban from the nursery and potential punishment in the species overall.
➤ Do not ask for breedings from someone if they have not advertised that they are looking for one.

    ➤ Staff Rules
Staff rules are posted publicly for accountability.
    ➤ General:
➤ All staff should compose themselves in an approachable, transparent, and professional
manner when conducting official staff duties, but are otherwise welcome to joke around and
have fun when just participating in the community.
➤ Staff should be active in discussions and be able to be active overall. We ask that you
let the admin board know if you need time off for any reason.
➤ Staff may not block other staff without valid reason to do so. We expect you to be cordial in a staff space. You can ignore each other in private as much as you want. Valid reasoning must be submitted to an admin. For example, someone simply having a profile you don't like is not a valid reason. However, someone harassing you, stalking you, etc, is.

    ➤Artist rules:
➤ Please be respectful and courteous to your fellow staff as well as community members.
➤ Competitions should last no longer than a month and a half, and judging should take no
longer than one month. If you think you are going to have trouble, please ask another staff member
      to step in.
➤ Please try to make at least one adopt a month.
➤ Normal number adopts may be any rarity up to uncommon, however, please do not do more
then three uncommon edits per adopt.
➤ Adopts must include what number they are in the title, and have a list of traits in the description.
➤ Off oekaki adopts will not be accepted. The only exception is for custom lined adopts should they
not fit on the oekaki canvas.
➤ Artists may run any competition or sale that they wish.
➤ Artists may only make sale adopts once every two free. (2:1).
➤ At this time, the only currencies accepted for adopts are c$, USD, and offsite currencies, such as FR.
➤ Artists must require at least a name on the form for archiving purposes.

    ➤ Moderator Rules:
➤ Mods are required to check threads, pms, and various other species related threads regularly.
➤ Mods must be calm, respectful, and fair when responding. They must also respond in a timely fashion.
➤ Mods must ask permission from a board member to deal an official strike against someone.
➤ Mods are expected to answer community questions and cite rules when needed.
➤ Mods should contact a member of the admin board if they are unsure of a question's answer.
➤ Mods may not initiate official species bans- that is within the power of the owner and board members
only, however, may be asked to let the offender know and may recommend that as punishment to an admin.
    ➤ Archivist rules:
➤ Archivists should be able to update their section of the archives in a timely manner.
➤ Archivists are responsible for any archive updates, such as drake ownership transfers (trades,
      sales, and gifts).

Visit Starclan's Shop to purchase MYO tickets and edit items!

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

      Rules.
      1. Please follow the guidelines in the coat guide and on the edits list.

      2. You may have someone make your MYO for you (they will need to post here and request to be added).

      3. Your cat is not real until an admin approves them. You may not use unapproved MYOs or any unapproved cat on our bases. This includes, but is not limited to: uploading unapproved references to your archive, using unapproved cats in official Stars mechanics, using unapproved on-base references to commission or request artwork before approval, etc. Adding a "fake" sign or disclaimer does not overrule this. The Stars lines are not a F2U base and references must go through official approval channels before use.

      4. You may only submit 1 MYO for approval per calendar month. This slot counts for the owner of the cat and not the user who designed the cat. Staff may exchange their monthly staff litter slot for an extra MYO submission slot.

      5. Do not post unfinished or WIP MYOs.

      6. When posting an MYO it is a requirement that all items being used are currently listed on the official archive document.

      7. Please label MYOs consecutively: #001, #002, etc.

      8. You must post the proper forms!

      9. Designs must be original pieces created by you (or you must have express permission from the artist who created them). Please include designer credit (if applicable) in your post as well as evidence of the designer's approval to transfer the design.

Disclaimer: The time taken to approve your MYO will differ, and MYOs posted after yours may be approved before yours is. Please be patient - we have not forgotten your MYO. Sometimes it can take the approval team over an hour to sort out approval notes for a single cat!

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

To be added to the page:
      Code: Select all
      username:
      clan: (link please)

Posting your MYO (put this on your cat's page!):
      Code: Select all
      username:
      clan: (link please)
      myo/items using:
      coat description:
edits: (any edit the cat has, see here for list: https://www.chickensmoothie.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?p=128221717#p128221717)
obtained how?: (trade, bought, found in explore, etc.)

Mythz @ Fri May 07, 2021 12:32 pm

If you're interested in making or commissioning an off-Oekaki MYO, please visit the above thread for details, posting forms, and the approval process! Do not post off-Oekaki cats under Oekaki covers.

Some old off-Oekaki MYO posts are present on this thread. Please visit the new thread if you plan to edit any cats from this thread!

Remember to link to your off-Oekaki cat's approval post when linking them in the nursery, explore, archive, etc.

Please note that we do not allow parts of the Stars base to be traced or redrawn unless necessary for an edit.
This includes redrawing parts of the base to better match your edit style.

      Reverse munchkinism
      Split tail

At the moment, MYOs and other items are only available for in-game currency (stardust). Items may not be traded for C$ either, unless they meet the limited exceptions from the trade rules on the archives.

    Q: May I create a cat off-Oekaki?
    A:
Yes, you can find the info on our off-Oekaki MYO thread!

Q: I'm not added to the MYO cover! How do I make my cat?
    A:
Just post on this thread to ask to be added and I'll add you asap! ^^

    EDITS
Q: Does my Common MYO (C MYO) get unlimited common edits?
    A:
Yes! All C MYO tickets have unlimited common edits.

Q: Does my Uncommon MYO (UC MYO) get unlimited common edits? Does my Rare MYO (R MYO) get unlimited uncommon and common edits?
    A:
Yes to both of these! All MYO tickets get unlimited edits of the rarities below the ticket rarity. For example, an uncommon MYO ticket gets unlimited common and NR edits.

Q: Can I add another edit to my cat after it's already been approved?
    A:
After a cat has been approved, you may not edit the design without applying the proper rarity edit item (you can buy these in StarClan's shop). All edits to existing approved cats must be applied via color-in and receive approval again. Be sure to fill out a "using items" form on the archives so your cat can be approved!

Q: Where can I find info on a specific item?
    A:
Our regular item descriptions are in StarClan's shop, and our event-exclusive item info is hosted here!

    GROWTHS
    Q: Can MYOs be kits/apprentices?
    A:
Yes! You will be responsible for their growths, and the date that they can grow will be given when they're approved.

Q: What should I do if I want to add an edit that will only appear on my cat's reference once the cat is grown?
    A:
You should list every edit your cat, once grown, will have when posting the original kitten/apprentice reference for approval. If you do not list this edit, we will only be able to assume that your cat will have the default lines, and you will need to apply edit items for any new edits shown.

Q: When can my MYO grow?
    A:
Your MYO can grow from kit to apprentice 3 weeks after the MYO was posted, and apprentice to warrior after an additional 3 weeks! If you skip the apprentice growth, your kit will still take 6 weeks to grow to a warrior. These growth dates go by the time your cat was posted, not the time they were approved. Growths cannot be approved until the day they are scheduled to grow.

Q: Can I post my MYO's growths in advance / during the approval process?
    A:
Yes! You're welcome to post all three (or two) growths at the same time, to ensure all their markings and edits are accurate and won't require future editing or use of edit items later down the line. However, your cat's growths cannot be approved until the date(s) they're scheduled to grow, and you may not use their growths until the growths are approved!

Welcome to the home of Longneck Adopts!

Founded in 2017 based on a drawing by coastelid, Longneck adopts quickly won over hearts in the CS adopts community. In the three years this species was active, over 700 little Longnecks found loving homes. We are excited to announce that these cute little friends are back! We are so excited to introduce you to the new era of Longnecks. Above you will find our directory, and below more information about the Longneck species. We are so excited to have you here, and hope to help you find your perfect Longneck friend!

Image

Rules are a pretty boring way to get a thread started, I know. But they are important, and make sure that everyone in the Longneck community has a positive experience! At the end of the day, I hope you find that the community is what makes the Longneck species special. We have always been dedicated to being an open, accepting, and kind group of people. The commitment to those values is what has made everyone love Longnecks, and more importantly stick around years later! To keep everything friendly and compliant with CS expectations, please review our Community Rules:

- Follow All CS Rules

This website is what has provided us with a space to enjoy this species for years. Please be respectful of CS's code of conduct, as would be expected on any other part of this site.

- Do Not Harass Our Artists

Please treat our artists with kindness. We are all very busy and have kindly agreed to contribute some of our time to bringing this species back. We are all very friendly individuals and would be happy to assist you in any way. Just ask politely, be patient, and we will happily help you!

- Losing Is Okay

Often times, Longneck adopts are given out on a competition basis. This method tends to lead to more interesting entries and has a way of finding users who are more interested in loving that Longneck for the long haul. The downside to this method, is it can lead to users becoming attached to adopts before they have officially won. While it can be tough, please practice good sportsmanship and be kind to your fellow potential adopters.

We have also been known to offer runner-up prizes here, so don't fret if you don't win on your first time out! We want everyone to experience the joy of Longnecks and will take note of reoccurring applicants. Your tries will certainly not go unnoticed, even if it doesn't always immediately pan out.

- Credit Artists When Necessary

Giving credit where credit is due is very important in creative communities. Please credit the original artists of your Longneck adopt if posting the original image to anywhere other than the specific Longneck's original thread.

While this has never been an issue, please also do not claim this species as your own original design. It is originally designed by coastelid (previously pringlekit, hence pk signature) and owned by ThePaintedPitBull.

Current artists: ThePaintedPitBull, DuskzeHedgie, mastergirl7, and Cetacea. There are currently no guest artists.

- Rehoming Is Okay

We want you to love your Longnecks and for your Longnecks to be loved. But hey, sometimes there just isn't a connection and we totally understand. If you choose to rehome your Longnecks, please contact our archivist so that our records can be as current as possible.

Current archivist: DuskzeHedgie

- Discord Is No Different

The Longneck species community does also operate outside of CS. We have a Discord channel where fans of the species are welcome to chat. Despite Discord offering many more freedoms, please follow all CS rules and CS Discord Specific rules in the Discord channel. We are required to moderate and ensure that these rules are being respected, so please just make sure that you follow the same code of conduct you would on this site.

What is a Longneck? Fantastic question!

Longnecks are medium sized mammalian creatures. They weigh somewhere in between 70 - 120 lbs, and are comparable in size to a Capybara. They move around on all four legs. Most Longnecks have soft fur, although some rarer varieties have evolved to have various different fur and skin types. All Longnecks have a skull like face, many with horns giving them an almost prehistoric energy. Perhaps they are prehistoric, who knows! The history of Longnecks has always been up in the air. In fact, it is unknown for sure why they are called Longnecks. Do they have long necks hidden somewhere in the fluff? Or are they just really being Land Before Time fans? We may never know for sure.

They can be found anywhere in the world, although they are very shy around humans. When they decide to bond with you though, they will be your best friend! Within their own species, they are extremely social creatures and prefer to travel in packs. At the beginning of their species, in hopes of increasing their population Longnecks were known to have many cubs to increase chances of survival. However, they are fiercely loyal and now that their numbers are high, they typically mate for life having only one litter of 1 - 2 cubs.

Longnecks are a very genetically diverse species. While they are mammals, some have wings, or even fins! Much like penguins though, our little Longneck friends with wings are flightless. They certainly do make for a cool appearance though! You may also come across a Longneck with some accessories or souvenirs. They are very sentimental, and love collecting things. If your Longneck comes with an accessory or other item, it is likely very special to them!

Most importantly, Longnecks just want to make you happy. Bringing joy to you, is what brings joy to them! It is for that reason, that we sincerely hope you will grow to love your Longneck adopt, and the Longneck species as a whole. They have brought a lot of joy to a lot of people's lives, and hopefully will continue to do so!

The Longneck species is operating under a new rarity system! While our previous one was more in depth, it often led to inconsistencies in how prevalent actual rarities were. This new system is designed to allow for more variety in adopts and more room for creativity for artists, while helping to keep the Longneck population balanced. To make rarities clear to adopters, all adopts backgrounds will now be color coded based on rarity.

It is worth noting, that the old archive will be adjusted to accommodate for the modern rarity system, so if you have Longnecks from V.1, they may have been adjusted. Feel free to check out our Archive, linked above, for the most up to date rarities of our Longnecks. Below, you can find descriptions of each rarity.

Image
Just because a Longneck is common, doesn't make it any less special. Common Longnecks have always been some of my favorites! So, what makes a Longneck common? Common Longnecks are exclusively colors that occur naturally in mammals. This includes neutral tones. Their eyes, however, can be any color. They can have any tail. They also may now feature some line edits, and accessories! Longneck Adopts who are common can be distinguished easily by the green background color, the original color of the Longneck thread.

Fun fact, Cuppa the Longneck Mascot since 2017 is also a Common Longneck!

Below are two examples of a Common Longneck:

Image

Image
Uncommon Longnecks are about to get so exciting! On our previous system, there wasn't much distinguishing and uncommon Longneck from a common one, which kind of left them a little forgotten in our little community. Well it's time this rarity got the love it has always deserved. Now, an Uncommon Longneck can come in ANY color. This is exciting because it means that more creative adopts are no longer limited to Rare adopts. They can have any eye color, any tail, and may also feature some line edits and accessories. Uncommon Longneck adopts can be identified by a yellow background color.

Below are two examples of an Uncommon Longneck:

Rare Longnecks are going to finally get to be, well, rare! Often times our previous system led to many Longnecks who didn't fit the rigid rules of lower rarities to be rare. While that did create many interesting adopts, it did not create a very stable rarity system. Rare Longnecks may seem a lot like the uncommon level at first glance, these adopts may feature more fantastical edits. They can be any color, have any color of eye, have any tail, and their line edits can be more extreme. Rare Longnecks can have features that would not otherwise be found on mammals. Some have wings, fins, additional eyes, or are even almost spectral! Rare Longneck Adopts feature special rainbow backgrounds.

Below are two examples of a Rare Longneck:

Range Trotters are the result of crossbreeding Orlov Trotters, Finnhorses, Welsh Cobs (section C & D) and Hanoverians. Later crosses of Quarter Horses, Paint and Appaloosas to gain color and to give a boost to their hardiness. With a height average of 13-15 hands, they're a hardy breed with characteristics for various disciplines.

Created for use as work, carriage and leisure riding horses originally, they now serve as long-distance range horses, such as work with Park Rangers and mounted officers.

Willing and eager personalities, most are quickly trained to be bombproof and therefore trusted mounts in all lines of work; some are being seen in local show jumping competitions, others are notably used in therapeutic sessions for their calm temperaments. Harness races and endurance trials are common for the breed, as they are able to sustain an extended trot without tire. Cross-Country competitions see some of the taller Trotters, but due to their cob lineage this is still uncommon.

Despite the variety of competitions and work these horses are being seen in, they are still famously skilled as endurance racers. Many competitors have chosen Range Trotters due to their tireless work ethic, as well as the ease in which they can be trained. Many have become champions in endurance trials, and they have quickly become a sought after breed for their natural ability.

    • All CS rules apply, this includes interactions on our discord server.

    • Range Trotters are a non-profit closed species. You may use them elsewhere, but please link back to the species adopt to give proper credit. Users may not be added to the adopts they have won, customs ordered or breedings created.

    • A storage page must be updated fully in order to request breedings. This includes proper and easy to find links to individual trotters, lineages and slot usage. Sites such as weebly, toy-house, or on-site are acceptable, but deviantart storage is not. There is currently no limit to how many Trotters you may own.

    • V1 trotters may be used in breedings in V2, but cannot be used to compete. They must be named and updated with all necessary information mentioned above.

    • Items, small edits (ie. horns, cloven hooves, etc.) mane/tail edits are acceptable, but all other edit types, including feathering, lion tails and roman noses, are no longer acceptable in the adopt. Any edits made are subject to pass in breedings via the breeding artist requested, they are not a guarantee. Any larger line edits released will be discussed among the team and done so via an event to ensure an equal opportunity for the community to obtain without charge.

    • Transfers from V1 to V2 are not permitted at this time. This may or may not change.

    • Custom Range Trotters may be sold for the price they were paid for. The price cannot exceed 500c$, unless in the event artwork has been made for the Trotter. If discussing USD sales, they must be taken offsite per CS rules. All artists have their own prices for customs, and it is expected to abide by their individual rules. Only the base price of the trotter cannot exceed 500c$, the price may be more for adding edits. Updated!

    • Pet and Item worth is taken into account for C$ value! If you’re unsure, please check with the appropriate forum for pet or item worth.

    • Free Adopts cannot be sold for currency! You did not pay for them, they cannot be purchased for C$, pets or items, or real currency. They can be traded for other trotters, breeding slots, or outside adopts (if rules permit.)

    • Please do not bump adopts for the purpose of updating images, or completing unjudged adopts. I do try go through periodically to have things updated but if it has been more run 30 days since the end date or judge date, please contact me for a status update.

    • When transferring ownership of Range Trotters, the former owner and the new owner must post on the page stating the transfer has been made. The former owner must also post on the trade archive thread with the form stating who is receiving and how the trade was completed. (ie. slot trades, full trotter trade, pet trade, etc.)

    • In the event of a site ban, all owned trotters are subject to revocation and redistribution among the community. Creating artists are given the option to adopt first, and any others will be readopted out via raffles. All site-banned users are permitted a grace period of two months before this will be done.

    • In the event of a species ban, any owned trotters that were not received from V1, Auctions, or Paid Imports will be revoked from the banned user. They will then be redistributed via raffle throughout the community in our discord server.

    • Rules are subject to addition, alteration or removal at any given time.

    Image
    • All trotters have five breeding slots. V1 trotters may still breed if they have available slots.

    • All horses must be named, have a halter and have a fully up to date storage in order to breed. A warning will be given to users who abuse this on multiple occasions. This includes V1 trotters, if they are being used for breeding purposes.

    • Foals grow in 14 days from their post date. If a growth has not been posted for 30 days after the growth date, please contact HowlingHooves directly via PM on-site.

    • Breedings are limited to 6 per month per community member! Artists do not have a monthly limit. Updated!

    • Artists are encouraged to order breedings from others, but may create personal breedings. Rolling is preferred to be done by another staff member.

    • Any edits on parents are not guaranteed to pass to offspring. This decision is up to the breeding artist, and edits should not be requested to pass in forms. Edits must follow the above guidelines, regardless of whether the trotters are from V1 or V2.

    • Dyed manes and/or tails cannot pass to offspring. Colored hair is created via customs, and as such foals should not have colored hair.

    • Rules are subject to addition, alteration or removal at any given time.

    Image
    • Artists are encouraged to try to make one adopt per month. This does not include customs or breedings.

    • In order to open customs, one free adopt and one other freely obtained trotter should be made per batch opening. This can be a breeding or adopt, or an event related trotter. This is non-negotiable as of implementation May 1st, 2024.

    • In order to participate in any community wide event, artists must not have any overdue customs or breedings. They will not be added to event lines until the overdue orders are completed. Should this be a common occurrence, the artist may be subject to not being able to participate as an artist in future events, or even termination from the team. new!

    • New staff may only create a custom hub after three months of active service. This activity will be counted as adopts, not breedings.

    • New staff may only be added to the Auction Block after three months of active service. This activity will be counted as adopts, not breedings.

    • Artists may make a personal custom once per month. These do not roll over into future months,
but a previous months custom can be created up until the 4th of each month.

    • Artists have 30 days from the end of any posted event to complete their personal custom(s) earned by posting adopts.
Each event may differ in requirements for customs to be earned by artists.

    • Please try to keep genetics correct. If you have questions, don't ever be afraid to ask.The team is very supportive and we often find inconsistencies this way, leading to an open discussion to fix something for the good of the community!

    • Please try to keep rare markings less common. There is no official ratio to follow, but as a rule of thumb most adopts made should more often be common-uncommon with some rare traits seen as well.

    • Limited markings are restricted to imports, events or special release numbers only.

Unlike other adopt species, ghost staff listed here are a group of members who are not restricted by the adopts per month quota.
These positions were reserved for individuals who had helped with the creation of the current version of Range Trotters,

These members are considered full-time benefit artists.
These positions are not open to other artists or staff on the team.

The NRTrA has a special shop just for members!

They accept a form of currency called Honorable Mentions, or HMs.
Artists can give out HMs to users in any adopt they host, with the exception of FCFS or Raffle types, to users they feel are deserving. These are usually based on a personal liking for any form(s) that did not win the adopt, and so tastes will vary among the artist team when they do give out HMs.
There is no limit to how many HMs any user can win, but artists should only award a max of three users per regular adopt.
Special adopts may have two HMs awarded per user. Special adopts are only posted every 1000 numbers.

The shop has a full inventory, standard items will never cycle in or out of stock.
Some items, however, may only be won or purchased from special events! These items will not be available after the event has ended for purchase, but may be won through explore.

To purchase any items, please be sure to double check your current HM stock.
If you have enough for the item in question, just send a PM or a DM to strangetales asking to purchase the item.

Wild Griffs Adopts

Welcome to Wild Griffs Adopts!
Wild Griffs are a smaller species of griffins that are an interesting mix between smaller wild cats and barn owls.
With their keen hunting instincts, fierce loyalty, and high intelligence, they make for great hunting and/or adventuring companions though they are not good beginner pets. Like servals, African Grass Cats, as well as birds of prey, their diet should consist almost entirely of raw meat, with supplemental veggies every so often to keep them at peak health.
They are primarily solitary, though can gather in large groups during breeding times, which happen regularly throughout the calendar year.
After mating, they disperse, at which time the females find a suitable nesting place and lay between one and four eggs. The mother will stay with these eggs until the fledglings are old enough to fend for themselves (approximately two weeks). It's best to wait until such a time to adopt them, however imprinting and regular contact with the ones to be adopted, by the person who will be adopting them, is highly encouraged.
Wild Griffs can come in a wide variety of coat patterns and colors, though the most common are natural wild cat and bird of prey colors and patterns. The eggs and young tend to somewhat resemble what they will look like as adults, however the offspring are generally a little more muted than the eggs, as well as the adults.
Wild griffs seem to be biurnal, sleeping whenever they feel they need to or wish to which adds to their usefulness as travel companions, as they can make for great guard animals. They can get easily bored though, so need stimulation often. Large enclosures with lots of climbing places, hiding places and toys are alright, though they are also fully able to roam on their own, and will always return home.

Lunikrins 2.0 - OPEN! based on this drawing by .pine.
by Inkeyu @ Wed May 31, 2023 9:06 pm [Reply]

Lunikrins

Lunikrins are a species of kirin that hale from an as of yet unnamed planet in the Karma solar system.
They are a rather diverse species in both appearance as well as temperment.
Though it is common for them to be very friendly, and tend to bond easily to those who treat them with respect and dignity.

Here is where you can find all of the Lunikrins currently for adoption, as well as those who have already been adopted.

More information will be added here as I work on developing/setting up the adoption center.

This species is moving to the discord server set up for a separate adoptables game I am building!
Instructions on how to bring your Lunikrin to the new space will follow later!

Everything you need to know about Lunikrins!
Lunikrins are an interesting species that ranges in size from that of a mouse, up to the size of a Shire horse. With sturdy legs and a slightly elongated body, as well as a small deer like head, they are strong and agile. Their large eyes are perfect for watching out for predators. They are called Luni-krins not because they are nocturnal, but because the moon that is full at the time they are born, dictates their magical abilities. They are herbivorous only, with a particular liking for sweet things such as fruit. They always have cloven hooves, and at least one horn/antler. The scales found on their bodies generally serve for protection and in many cases as extra surface area, meant for body temperature regulation. They are found in really any environment, as they are extremely adaptable. Lunikrins roam in bands of between 3 and 25 members of varying gender, size, and magical abilities as they are incredibly social and outgoing creatures. Breeding season is generally sometime between late spring to mid autumn, and pairings are never predictable as they can be of opposite or the same gender. No one is quite sure how they breed, though there is suspicion that it has to do with lunar magics. Lunikrins come in a very wide variety of colors and patterns, the most common being a natural horse/dog/deer/cat color or pattern with up to 3 "unnatural" colors, less common being fully unnatural colors but in natural patterns, and the least common being completely "unnatural".

The world in which Lunikrins originate is an interesting Goldilocks planet, very similar to earth, however it has multiple moons, each of which rules over a different principle/school of magic.
Silver, aqua, blue, purple, red, pink, orange, yellow, green and black.
Silver = 5 day cycles, rules over weather magic
Aqua = 7 day cycles, rules over water magic
Blue = 10 day cycles, rules over healing magic
Purple = 13 day cycles, rules over precognition/premonition magic
Red = 21 day cycles, rules over fire magic
Pink = 30 day cycles, rules over love/passion magic
Orange = 34 day cycles, rules over food/drink magic
Yellow = 39 day cycles, rules over crystal magic
Green = 45 day cycles, rules over growth magic
Black = 63 day cycles, rules over teleportation magic

Galingales can breed between 3-12 times and are capable of having 1-3 babies at a time. There's a 80% chance for 1 foal, 15% chance for twins and a 5% chance for triplets.

All Galingale Striders have 3 slots when adopted. In order to get more breeding slots you have to train
them. Simply fill out the prompts from one of the 3 different tiers and post it to your Galingales Adoption Page. You must Contact an Archivist or Owner to get it approved when you finish it.

Galingale Striders from V.1-V.6 have to do some sort of training in order to breed. Those, from past versions, who have no training but have bred more than 3 times will automatically be granted a higher tier of training to compensate. Proof of breedings will need to be provided.

---------------Disciplines---------------
Striders are not built to carry riders, though they make up for this in intelligence. They are able to pull carriages, be guided by cues and perform various tricks. This has allowed them to perform in a lot of normal Equine sports with a few tweaks to the rules and requirements.

    Combined Driving - [english]
Team of 2-4 Striders pulling a carriage with a Driver and 1-2
attendants/passengers. Competing in 3 phases, Dressage,
Marathon and Obstacle Cones. Fewest penalty points wins.

    Harness Racing - [english]
A form of horse racing at a specific pace, usually a trot, with
a driver pulled by a small 2 wheeled chariot. First to cross
    the finish wins.

    Show Jumping - [english]
A Strider guided by cues to jump over a series of fence
obstacles in a specific pattern within an allotted amount of
    time. Fastest time wins.

    Skijorning - [english]
A winter sport where a Strider pulls their driver through a
snowy coarse with obstacles and jumps while on ski's. Least
amount of penalties and fastest time wins.

    Fine Harness - [english]
1 Strider pulls a 4 wheeled carriage around an arena with a
driver dressed in traditional attire. The Strider must
perform a high knee trot and long strides. Breaking the trot
    is penalized. Highest score wins.

    Cutting - [western]
Lead by cues, a Strider will be tasked to keep 1 young
cow/steer away from the rest of the herd for a period of
time. Score will be determined by athleticism and reaction.
If the cattle escapes and makes it back to the herd they are
    disqualified.

    Barrel Racing - [western]
A Strider will race around 3 barrels in the form of an upside
down T and back to the start as fast as possible. Penalties
add on time, fastest time wins.

    Pole Bending - [western]
A Strider will race to the top of an arena then weave
through 6 poles twice before racing back to the start.
    Fastest time wins.
    Bucking Bronc - [western]
A Strider will have a strap tightened on their lower belly to
encourage bucking. Bags of sand will be attached to a
bucking harness. The Strider will be given 8 seconds to buck
off the bags. Each bag is a certain amount of points. Fastest
time and amount of bags wins.

    Horse Pulling - [western]
A team of 2 Striders will be hooked to a cart full of sand bags.
They will have to pull 3 different carts with 3 different
    weights. Farthest pull wins.

    Halter - [other]
A Strider lead by halter will trot around the arena then stand
center and be judged by color, confirmation, and
    temperament. Best Strider wins.

    Steeplechase - [other]
A race with various jumps consisting of hedges and ponds.
    Fastest Strider wins.

    Endurance Racing - [other]
Striders are kept in barns at the starting location for a couple
months, then are taken very far away and released to run back
to their original location. Rest points are set up along course as
well as "protectors" to keep the Strider safe during their long
journey home. First Strider's to return "home" wins.

    Liberty - [other]
Owner and Strider will create a story telling performance to music
while performing various tricks with only cues and without tools
such as whips, ropes and rods. They are allowed to have various
costumes but it is not required. Judges look for performance,
    timing, and story.

    Costume Showing - [other]
Contestants will lead their Striders through the Arena in hand made
costumes. They will then stand in the center to be judged. Judges
will be looking for Quality and Creativity. Best costume wins.

    Herd Position - [no discipline]
If your Strider still remains out in the wild or is too challenging to
tame they may not have any discipline at all. But all horses have a
position within the herd they are around. These positions are Alpha,
    Lead, Beta, Middle-Ranking, and Submissive.

----------Adoption---------------

Any open adopts will have a background attached to them and can be found under the "Adopts" cover. For the time-being, all adopts are free, excluding customs and breedings, which usually use Chicken Dollars for currency. Adopts will always have some sort of form attached. Fill out the form and post it below the Galingale you wish to adopt. Each artist will have their own competitions, raffles and end dates. You may only win one Galingale every 24 hours, good luck!

----------About Galingale Striders----------
There are a few different breeds of Striders that have been mentioned within history. Some went extinct many years ago due to environmental changes, others from the involvement of man. We have been fortunate enough to save the Feathered Striders but everything we know about the other breed's has been limited to legends, paintings and scrolls. We hope some day we can learn more about each breed and what they can offer. Down below is the information we do have on them now.

So far what we have seen is some traits and mutations do carry between all breeds but others are only specific to that particular breed. Coat rarities seem to be the same across the entire species and their anatomy and sizes differ vastly.

----------About Feathered Galingale Striders----------
The feathered galingale striders are considered to be the royalty of equines. With their slender bodies, bright colors and draped feathers, the galingales are a curiosity around the world. In the past, there are recounts of these flashy equines being worshipped, or kept as pets and beloved companions. Because of their beauty, they were poached for their horns and feathers, with the claim that they had special healing properties and were also used to decorate garments. Because of this mistreatment, these unique creatures became critically endangered. In efforts to save them, the remaining galingales were captured, bred in captivity, and then released into protected areas. The population rebounded, and now wild herds can be seen of up to 25 individuals roaming across their territory.
They are omnivores, with both herbivore and carnivore traits, and also have high intelligence. Because of their small stature and thin, dear-like legs, they are not strong enough to be ridden. They are capable of driving sleds and carriages in teams of 2-6 and are often dressed in costumes and garments. Their feathers have a variety of uses, ranging from camouflage to mating rituals. The galingales are well known for being both affectionate and playful, especially in mares- though they can become over-protective with their foals. With their rebounded numbers, population control has taken effect, and small groups of galingales are rounded up or rescued from old owners and put up for adoption. Will you be the one to take one home today...?

----------About Skeletal Galingale Striders----------
Skeletal galingale striders used to only be known by the word of the superstitious. Tales of creatures sent from the underworld roamed the marshes and dark mountains, taking the lives of those who foolishly entered. The legends said the creatures would wait in the thick fog, screaming, pretending to be trapped in the mud. By the time their victim was close enough to see the hairless animal, with it's bones blocking the light from beneath it's skin, it was too late. Snatched away, the strider would drag them into the bog burring them alive in the thick mud only to return when hunger pained it's stomach.
It is believed their appearance struck fear in those from long ago as they believed seeing one was a bad omen and death was upon the people. This lead a mass hunt to eradicate the entire species, to be sure of humanity's survival. After thousands of years of only paintings and stories to tell us about this mysterious sub-species, we now know these creatures do exist and are not malicious as the stories say.
These strider's are the tallest out of all the sub-species and have transparent skin which reveals their bones. They have no fur, instead they have a fine layer of peach fuzz that makes their skin soft to the touch. They have developed this way due to the lack of sunlight in their environment. The dark mountains only receive the light from the moon reflecting off the rocks and the marshes are so thick with tree's and fog, fireflies can barely be seen. These striders often take refuge deep within caves inside the mountains and do not crave the flesh of man. They much prefer glowing grubs, mosses, and carrion. Though they are not necessarily aggressive, they are very wary of people and if threatened will fight to the death. They are not a tame species and very difficult to find but those who have managed to bond with them have a very loyal companion.
We hope with time more of these species will reveal themselves but they have only been seen around the time of Halloween. Best of luck to you all who wish to train one of these marvelous creatures.

------Anatomy------
• No hair or fur, only fine peach fuzz.

Species UFA

Current Bid: 350 C$

Congratulations you found the Daedal Cove! Flying high in the sky, these majestic creatures always find a way to cause a bit of mischief and chaos. All of the good intent- well aside from an unknown source of dark magic radiating from the south.
The land of Lyore is a vibrant and lively one, with rare and exotic blooming plant life, mystical waters, and falls. Even the rocks on the ground seem to have a magical element to them, here you find yourself feeling more at peace than you can explain. Despite the massive, nearly goliath of a Daedal that lands before you. A voice begins to echo in your mind as it lowers its head to you. "Hello, youngling, what brings you into our domain?"

Credit for the Original Line art goes to Doctor monty.

Putty Birds

World of Umbria History
Image

World of Umbria is a now long since closed adobtable site. The world had two factions, one magical, and one mechanical. Creatures could be "summoned" by the magicians or built by engineers. It had a bit of a steampunk aesthetic overall.
Other than the two different factions, there were also shinies!

I eventually stopped making pets for the site and quit. About 6 months later the site went down and never came back up. The domain is now claimed by someone else and even the wiki is gone. The only thing I can find is on the wayback machine and a sad thread on dragoncave.

I made some good memories with the site and wanted to bring a little back as well as have somewhere to work on colors and patterns so I wanted to bring these guys back. The originally started as doodles from college that I called "football birds" (very round). Story wise they were originally crafted from a failed spell involving some putty and a bunch of feathers. They small griffins no bigger than a chicken with about the intelligence of a chicken. Their skills include pecking, eating, sleeping, eating, being obnoxious, being destructive, eating, and smelling of roofing tar.

Some different customization potentials
different feet
different tails
wing shapes
beak shapes
different smells! Some might even smell pleasant

My want for these is to just use them as a basis to practice designs and colors because I'm pretty bad at both. I want to fill the world with ugly fluffy birds. This is a still a work in progress so it might take me time to hash things out and any more rules or story with them

(wayback search: https://web.archive.org/web/*;type=imag ... bria.net/*)
has some other pictures of the pets that were on the site.

3. Customs are available, so read below.
4. Adopts will appear in themes, or randomly.
5. We will also release pets on Events and for special days.
6. Do not claim the species/my art as your own.

CUSTOMS

Customs can be completely designed by the TD artist or be a pre-existing character of your own. If you have a character that you would like to be done as a TD - ensure you are VERY descriptive as to what you would like. Be specific as to different line edits, extra bits and bots. The artist will ONLY do what is requested and not everything pictured except design (Meaning any items of your character must be written down for the artist to add them. Including body edits, eg. Long tail, wings, fluffly feet - etc etc). For a custom to be perfect a colour list is also prefered (but not required) to ensure the colour is perfect. Customs are opened whenever the artist has time for them (or has time within the next week to complete them). This means the customs are not guaranteed to be completed immediately (I have a life outside of online unfortunately!).

Mule-Eared Torden Horse based on this drawing by Inkiing
by birch. @ Fri Jan 26, 2024 9:50 am [Reply]

Image

The Torden is a rare breed of horse recently gaining international popularity for its history, manner, and all around abilities. Despite popular belief, this horse is not a mule but rather a selectively bred horse that can lead its pure bloodline down to when a small tribe of Vikings first bred them. Initially used to pull carts and plows, the Vikings soon discovered the sure footed, calm, and gentle temperament of these horses made for great mounts. Their savvy intelligence and nearly unspookable nature helped this small tribe soon become a booming force both in Combat and agriculturally. It wasn't long before what was now called the Torden horse to become a sought after breed for many surrounding Norse tribes. The decline of the species came when cross breeding of Dole bloodlines became popular, creating the Fjord and the Icelandic horse for more compact and smooth gaited horses more suited for long travel.

The Torden recently was revived when a group of conservationists came together and began recreating the species through selective breeding and maintaining a very detailed log. Now that the more modern breed has been revived, it has come to the attention of many horse ranches and show competitions. Their gentle nature still remains intact, very eager to work and please makes them perfect for any form of riding competition, and a sure footed, stoic breed that cannot be spooked. They stand between 13.1hh at the smallest to 15hh at the tallest and weighing in between 900lbs-1200lbs, making them a rather compact yet strong breed of horse. Their coat colors range in color and rarity, though most commonly they will be seen sporting a buckskin or dun coat.

Brindled Miniature 'Mini' Gypsies, or BMGs as they are refered to, are a hybrid pony breed. However, these ponies were not bred in captivity. Originally discovered in Eastern Africa, scientists have learned that some of the miniature Gypsy Cobs that many farmers kept with their sheep and goats as protection had escaped. Joining up with wild zebra herds, those ponies were able to successfully breed with their wild cousins. They began to rapidly populate, and herds of them were discovered. They co-exist well with the zebras, often finding them within existing zebra herds. These ponies do tend to stick in family groups in the larger herds.
As people began to discover the growing numbers of these ponies in the wild, there have been many efforts to keep the population to a manageable size. While they don't directly compete with the zebras, they are noticeably more aggressive towards some of the smaller antelope species that mingle within the zebra herds as they migrate. For this reason there is an annual round up, similar to the one we see at Chincoteague Island. Ponies are rounded up and auctioned off. A wild population will always remain per the African government.
Farmers still keep these ponies as protection for their sheep and goat herds, but the interesting markings of these ponies has caught the eye of many in the equine trade. Thousands have begun to flock to the annual round up and have claimed their own ponies.
These alert ponies tend to mature earlier than standard equines, reaching their full height of 10 and 14 hands in about 3 years. They have a stocky build, especially in the chest, weighing in anywhere between 500 and 900 pounds. While short in stature, these ponies make up for it in personality. They are affectionate and love the people they are bonded with. Gentling them requires lots of trust built between handler and pony that can take some time. These ponies can be quite mean to strangers, carrying that down from the zebra heritage. Once they are trusting, their full personalities begin to bloom and they are very eager to please, making training then to ride a breeze.
They are a nimble, but hardy breed, and are capable of carrying heavy loads across rugged terain. Since their domestication, they have been adept to pulling carts as heavy as 2/3 their body weight, taking the driving world by storm. But, they can preform well in many different equine competitions. While not as profound in the jumping ring due to their short stature, these ponies are known to have a decent amount of cow sense and preform well in the western arena. Dressage has also been shown to be a great arena for them as they are very nimble on their feet for their size.

BMGs sport all coat colors and all are able to be registered. Bay and chestnut bases tend to be the most common. Dun and cream are also fairly common. Black , champagne and pearl ponies are not unseen withing the breed and some breeders tend to focus on them. All markings are possible and able to be registered, most common are sabino and tobaino, increasingly though appaloosa markings have hit the market. Overo ponies are bred, but tend to be fewer with the risk of LWO. Most breeders tend to enjoy minimal white on their ponies to be able to view the brindled markings more easily.
All BMGs must have brindling to be registered. Though solid BMGs without brindling have been seen very rarely. BMGs brindling has been named Maasai brindle after the nature reserve the breed was originally discovered in. The brindle is almost always darker than the base coat of the pony itself. The brindle is always seen under the white markings. However dun banding that would normally be seen on the legs do not show on BMGs. A dorsal stripe is usually the only indicator of the dun gene.

Polecat Drakes based on this drawing by Idem
by 24Beaver01 @ Tue Apr 18, 2023 12:27 pm [Reply]

Image

Polecat Drakes, which are completely unrelated to actual polecats, are a furry species of drake that have characteristics of felines, equines, canines, and drakes. Their general body shape is similar to that of polecats, hence where they got their name. They come in a wide variety of colors and body types, with heights ranging between those of Great Dane dogs (70 cm) to mid-sized ponies (152 cm). They are very social creatures, vocalizing with whinnies, growls, rumbles, and barks. Their social groups typically consist of their immediate family along with a handful of unrelated males and females. Female drakes will typically have 5 pregnancies throughout their lifetime, and can have anywhere from one to two hatchlings per pregnancy. They have an innate inclination towards having magical abilities, and spend many years reading and learning to further expand their abilities. Many drakes can learn to understand human languages, but lack the ability to speak human languages. They make great companions for many folks, and live to be anywhere from 50-70 years old.

- All CS rules apply, including any interactions on our discord server.

- Polecat Drakes are a closed species and only permitted artists may use these lines. You may use your drakes you have obtained elsewhere, but please link back to the species adopt page to give proper credit. Users will not be added to any drakes they have obtained.

- A storage page must be updated fully in order to request breedings and customs. This includes proper and easy to find links to individual drakes, as well as their lineages and slot usage. Sites such as weebly, toyhouse, or an on-site thread are acceptable, but deviantart storage is not. There is currently no limit to how many drakes you may own.

- Edits such as added items, small lineart edits (i.e. horns, ear edits, additional eyes, non-functional wings, prosthetics), and different manes and tails are acceptable, but all other major lineart edit types including functional wings, additional sets of legs or additional heads are not permitted. Any edits made are subject to pass in breedings as the requested breeding artist sees fit, they are not guaranteed to pass though.

- Custom drakes can be created for either c$ or USD. If using c$, the price must not exceed 500c$ unless ordering multiple customs. If using USD, all payment discussion must be taken offsite as per CS rules. All artists have their own prices for customs and are expected to abide by their individual rules.

- Custom drakes may be sold for the price they were paid for. The price cannot exceed 500c$, unless in the event artwork has been made for the drake. If discussing USD sales, they must be taken offsite as per CS rules.

- Please do not bump adopts for the purpose of updating images or completing unjudged adopts. If it has been more than 30 days since the end date or judge date, please PM me and we can get things squared away.

- When transferring the ownership of a drake, the former owner and the new owner must post on the drake's page stating the transfer has been made. The original owner must also message the archivist about the ownership change to complete the transfer process. This is to ensure that everyone is receiving their side of a trade and that it is easy to find in the case of archival transfers.

- In the event of a member receiving a site ban, all owned drakes are subject to revocation and redistribution among the community. Creating artists are given the option to adopt first, and any others will be re-adopted out via raffles on our Discord. The same applies to anyone who may be banned from the species.

- Rules are subject to addition, alteration, or removal at any given time.

Image

- All Polecat Drakes have five breeding slots.

- All drakes must be named and have a fully up-to-date storage in order to breed. A warning will be given to users who send breedings in on multiple occasions with drakes who do not meet the requirements.

- Artists are encouraged to order breedings from other artists, but may create their own personal breedings. Rolling is preferred to be done by another staff member.

- Any edits are subject to pass in breedings as the requested breeding artist sees fit, they are not guaranteed to pass though and should not be requested to pass in forms.

- Dyed manes and/or tails, body paint, as well as added items such as blankets or props, cannot be passed on to offspring. Colored hair or body paint is created via customs or special adopts and is just hair dye/paint, therefore it is impossible to pass on to offspring.

- Rules are subject to addition, alteration, or removal at any given time.

Image

- Artists are encouraged to try to make one adopt per month. This does not include customs or breedings.

- In order to open customs, two free adopts must be made before taking new batches of customs.

- Artists may make a personal custom once per month with up to one limited marking and unlimited rare and below markings. These do not roll over into future months, but a previous month's custom can be created up until one week into the new month.

- Please try to keep genetics correct. If you have questions, don't be afraid to ask another staff member.

- Please try to keep limited and rare markings less common. Adopts should more often be common and uncommon, with rare markings interspersed every now and then. Limited markings should be restricted to customs, events, or special release milestone numbers (50s and 100s).

Bans: None!

They make great companions for many folks, and live to be anywhere from 50-70 years old.[/quote][/center]

Pine Valley QH - V3 OPEN based on this drawing by TheKiwiKat

Introduction wrote:Pine Valley Ranch has been breeding high quality quarter horses for generations! All standing between 14-16.2 hands. Specializing in producing horses with slow, smooth gaits with disciplines like western pleasure and hunter under saddle in mind. Over the years we’ve imported horses from around the world to aid in our breeding program! It’s been such a success that for the first time we are offering our stock to the public, including a breeding facility with a handful of our top studs and mare available for stud and brood. Not what you’re looking for? We will also help facilitate the import of horses from every continent, including some with very special and unique markings!

Main Page (Here) // Auction and Imports // Breeding Facility // Discussion // Current Event // Artist Search // Item Shop + Customs // Registration // Show Arena //Archive

Welcome to Pine Valley Ranch adopts! Every user will be able to claim a randomized founder to start off! After that, Pine Valley quarter horses can be “bought” through the auction center! All adopts beside customs will be free. Our auction center currently had two options, both with limited slots! Option one is applying for a horse in the loose auction pen. You have a 100% chance of getting a horse, and the base color and pattern will be completely randomly generated. Option two is through our main auction. You’ll know what color the horse is ahead of time but watch out! These horses are very popular and there is only a 75% chance of winning the horse you choose.

Image
NEW Any auction horses not claimed within 2 weeks of being posted will be "reclaimed" by PVQH. All auction horses are to be completed within 1 week of the auction ending. That is the timeline for bidders to know when their horse will be complete, and it is a bidders responsibility to claim their horse without us having to "hunt you down" to claim your horse

NEW If you have an unclaimed horse, you may not bid on any auctions until they are claimed (or reclaimed if its been 2+ weeks)

NEW Letting horses repeatedly go unclaimed will resort in a strike. 3 strikes and you will be suspended from bidding (the amount of time will vary on the offenses)

NEW If an auction horse is made and you decide you dont want it, please dont be afraid to say so. We would much prefer that over horses being left unclaimed

• CS rules apply!

• Do not claim the species as your own

• You may only apply for 1 auction horse per round (per person) Meaning you can apply for 1 option at a time. Pre-rolled genetics, or completely random.

• Please be kind to all members of the community and staff!

• Do not rush artists. Adopts may take up to 1 week to finish. Anything past that point please dm me!

• Do not remove Inkiings signature!

• If stored offsite, please credit Inkiing for the lines and the design artist for the design

Forest Variant wrote:Mothlings found in forest biomes tend to
stay high in the trees, weaving in between
branches. This variety has a small cowl of
fuzz on the neck. They can be found in
groups, the same way you would find a school
of fish. They enjoy flying together as dust
flutters from their wings. They feast on
leaves, nectar, and fruits, sometimes
carrying pollen in their neck fuzz.
Tundra Variant wrote:Mothilings found in Tundra biomes
are covered in fuzz from head to toe(?)
to help insulate themselves in the cold
temperatures. Being as social as they
are, they can be found huddled together
to keep each other warm. But worry not,
they are as hardy as ever.

➤ You must own a MYO item to create a MYO. These can be purchased in the shop.

➤ Any user may design your MYO for you, but they must use the form below to be added to the drawing.

➤ All coats and edits must remain realistic unless otherwise specified (e.g. unnatural coloring, gene splicing). We recommend using ~HєуRєι~'s guide!

➤ A MYO is not considered an official cat until it has been approved by a staff member. Until approved, do not archive the cat, use it in any way, or remove the "Fake" tag from its image.

➤ Once your MYO is approved, please make sure to log the use of your MYO item in the archive.

➤ Do not post unfinished or WIP MYOs. These will be removed after 1 month if not completed. If this happens, your MYO item will be voided and cannot be reused.

➤ All designs must be original artwork created by you or an approved artist. If the design is not your own, you must provide proper credit and permission from the designer.

Use the following form to be added to the drawing:

No MYO Item? Submit Lore or Art Instead! (Waiver Option)

Once every 30 days, you may submit one MYO or claim an Artist Search entry without consuming a MYO item by meeting the word/art requirement below. Mixing writing and art is fine.

➤ The 30-day timer starts when you submit the waiver form. Your writing or art must be fully complete before submitting—do not submit early and “finish later.”

➤ Content should focus on the design you’re submitting (it can feature other characters). You can use ideas or themes from past waivers, but the writing or art you submit must be newly created for this waiver — no reuse of older work.

➤ All work must be your own. No use of AI.

➤ Animation and extra characters are optional bonuses that can help meet the word count. How much they count toward the total will vary depending on complexity.

➤ You may not claim an Artist Search entry with a waiver if you currently have no MYO item and have already used your lore/art waiver in the past 30 days. The MYO item must already be approved and archived into your bank before claiming. This ensures other users have a fair chance at entries.

➤ Waivers must meet the full requirement for the rarity in a single submission. You cannot split one waiver across multiple designs, combine multiple waivers, or add extra work later to upgrade the same design.

➤ All coat/edit realism rules still apply. This only replaces the item cost, not approval standards.

Requirements by highest trait rarity used
(Currently open: Non-Rarity (NR), Common (C), Uncommon (UC). Rare (R) and Legendary (L) waivers are closed for now.)

Non-Rarity (NR): 250 words (≈ sketched headshot, halfbody, or fullbody — quick, minimal polish)

Common (C) (may include NR): 500 words (≈ lined and colored halfbody or fullbody — no shading required, clean lines & flat color)

Uncommon (UC) (may include C/NR): 1000 words (≈ lined, colored, and shaded fullbody — focus on rendering the cat, no background required)

Rare (R) (may include UC/C/NR): 1500 words (≈ lined, colored, and shaded fullbody with simple background — environment adds context, not just a floating character)

Legendary (L) (may include R/UC/C/NR): 2000–2500 words (≈ fully rendered fullbody with detailed background — highest polish, lighting, texture, etc.)

How to submit a waiver MYO or Artist Search entry

➤ Go to the Archive Thread and fill out the Lore/Art Waiver Submission Form found there.

➤ Wait for staff approval before using the MYO or Artist Search entry, archiving it, or removing the “Fake” tag.

Special thanks to Bezel, owner of the Fables closed species, for inspiring this system and giving permission to adapt their idea.

Caleons are a secretive species from the mountains of Appalacia. They have evolved over years from the crossbreeding of early bobcats and mountain lions, and seem to have independently evolved the latter traits of both species. In fact, the genes of the species itself seem unstable - genetic mutations are more than common, with almost no ‘typical’ coat colors or patterns having been discovered yet. From the research done so far, this is the information we were able to gather:

They prefer to live in the deepest parts of the mountain forests, and are extremely adept at being stealthy. Despite the wide range of coats and colors, they have an almost magic ability to camouflage, and it’s very hard to observe them in nature without the addition of a heat camera to initially spot them.
Caleons have been seen with a wide variety of coat colors and patterns, including some similar to other species that are completely genetically unrelated ( (for example, a reddish coat from a fox, bioluminescence from lightning bugs, or even zebra-like stripes). Every once in a while, Caleons can been seen with colors that seem to have come from plants instead of other animals. It has been theorized that they are somehow able to pick their own fur color, though we have not been able to do enough research to draw a conclusion on this matter yet.
Unlike their ancestors, they enjoy being sociable with other members of the species, and have been observed ‘speaking’ to each other in a series of chirps, grows, purrs, and meows.
