◈ Our home is in ruins. The fear in our hearts still feels icy cold since the time... they came. Horrible creatures with fangs so huge, they could rip entire chunks of the earth up. A war we never imagined having to fight was suddenly upon us without warning. The Aureai, all of us, desperate to defend our home and loved ones, drew every bit of strength we could from the Twilight Oak. But the creatures' powers were too great. Our families were all but slaughtered mercilessly. If any survived, they were scattered, fleeing our home and everything we love in fear of their lives. Nobody has been seen in almost a moon.
I vow to one day take the fight back to them, and make those monsters wish they had never set foot in our land.

• Q: Where can I set up my storage place?
  A: Storage places can be made offsite or onsite! Toyhouse/other websites, on cs using character storage, etc
  
  
• Q: How do I obtain cats?
  A: There’s a variety of ways you can do so! You may request a free founder, try out for adopts released by artists, patrol for the chance to encounter cats, and breed your existing cats to produce kits
  
  
• Q: Can I have more than one Clan/Tribe/Colony?
  A: Absolutely! Just remember you can only have one founder. Your clans/tribes/colonies can interact in any way you'd like to. The possibilities are endless
  
  
• Q: Can WfR cats exist in worlds with other species?
  A: Of course! They can co-exist with one another, be neighbors, etc. There are no limitations, other than the fact they cannot have offspring with felines from other species
  
  
• Q: What if I don’t quite connect with my founder? Or I don’t claim the founder?
  A: That’s okay! Your founder can be adopted back out to the community. You may not request a new founder, respecting the rule of one founder per user. Same goes for if your founder is not claimed, they will be adopted back out into the community after 30 days of being unclaimed
  
  
• Q: What are the three sets of lines on the main page for?
  A: What you see are the adult lines, apprentice lines, and kit lines. Kits grow 7 days from their posting date into apprentice. Additionally, apprentices grow 7 days from their posting date. In total, 14 days is the expected growth time for a kit to grow into a warrior
  
  
• Q: Are calicos only female? Can there be male calicos?
  A: Sex-linked traits, patterns and colors are nonexistent in WfR. So this means that male calicos are indeed possible and can breed as a normal cat would
  
  
• Q: What does MYO stand for?
  A: MYO stands for "make your own". A MYO item allows you to create your own WfR cat, or allows you to ask an artist to do so for you. EYE COLORS: Natural colors such as shades of brown, blue, orange/yellow, green are most commonly seen
Unnatural colors such as shades of pink, purple, red, etc are significantly less common, and should be kept only on the occasional adopt, milestone adopt, auction horse, foals (if parent(s) have unnatural eye colors) or some imports. Blindness can be expressed by a pale white/cream color. Keep in mind blindness will not pass to offspring

Heterochromia is permitted within the species and there are three different types, as seen below
1. Sectoral: two different portions of colors within the iris
2. Central: creates a ring around the pupil that is a different color
3. Complete: one whole eye is a different color than the other

SKIN: Skin is primarily more visible on the muzzle, flank and around the eyes of a horse
Black, bay, chestnut primarily have black/dark grey skin
Some lighter dilutions such as cremello will have pale/muted pink skin
White facial markings create pink skin also

Uncommon pass 25% of the time

Some competitions will rely on the stats of your horse. Each adopt will be given randomly generated base stats: 0 being poor, and 10 being perfect.

Breedings will have stats based on a result of both parents stats being averaged out
Competitions can increase stats even further, and 50 is currently the "cap" for all stats

Senegal zebras are a new subspecies of zebra. these equids are a leggy, taller version of the plains zebra. They range in height from 12.3hh to 15.3hh and weight ranges to as large as 800lbs with stallions being slightly larger than mares.

They were first discovered by a large game hunter due to their peculiar difference from the normal plains zebra. Senegal zebras come in many colorations seen in domesticated horses and do not necessarily have those distinctive stripes the zebra is known for. They form harems and are highly social equids, conveying emotion and communication through their large ears and varying whinnies and barks. Most do have some sort of striping whether it be restricted to their head or a certain portion of their body.

Their diet mainly consists of grass, though they may eat bark and twigs. This species has successfully been domesticated but cannot be ridden. They are highly unpredictable and easily stressed in certain situations and are not a reliable source of transportation. They have been used to help farmers and pull small carriages.

Predators of the senegal zebra consist of lions, leopards, and most other big cats found in the country. They also are a current victim of poaching due to their skin and meat holding much value in some villages. It is not uncommon for farmers to use senegal hounds and wildlife reservations to use these dogs to help protect the species from illegal poaching.

SZ's mature at the age of 3. Mares normally have one foal but there is a low percent chance of twins. In the wild, it is uncommon for both foals to survive. they usually live to 14 years

Stripping is found in both regular ( darker than the base) or reverse ( lighter than the base). It is never white nor will it show over white. SZ's come in all standard horse colorations and patterns except brindle.

Trading Guidelines

• you can only trade these zebras for other zebras/hound or for items within the community, no cs pets etc, this includes anything species related you want to trade for ie. breeding slots. You may trade them for artwork.
• there is a two-week cool down on a traded zebra to be traded again.
• the zebra must be at least a week old before trading.
• both users must post on the adoption thread to verify a trade.

Breeding Guidlines

• zebra have unlimited Slots
• A breeding cannot have inbreeding in the 3 generations listed on the

• you do not have to own a zebra to order breedings.
• breeding items can be won in the discord for same-sex pairing or twins along with customs/mutations.
• twin rolls are prime numbers between 1-100.
• physical and mental disabilities/injuries do not pass.
• mutations have a set pass rates. a zebra cannot have multiple mutations beyond 1 stripping and/or physical mutation.
• permissions must include user id number and the zebra numbers involved, only posts or screenshots are acceptable.

Staff Guidelines

• artists are allowed one custom per month if they have made at least 3 adopts.
• permanent staff are allowed to make a self-breeding once they have completed three breeding orders.
• staff are allowed to open customs after they have made the required three adopts for that month. they are allowed up to 3 mutation slots a month to offer to the community
• must number all adopt properly and name the coat color. A=Adopt B=Breeding C=custom
• must be respectful and appropriate when dealing with the community.

These are full customs with a mutation add on.

What can I do with my custom redeems?
Artists usually allow a separate section on their pages on if they are open for them. Custom redeems are full customs (no mutations/items) etc.

Can I get mutations without the raffles?
Yes, Artists can open a mutation slots with their set prices. This is the only way you can gain a mutation custom outside of the raffles.

What are Item add ons?
Items that can be added to your custom zebra/hound that you order.

How do I know when an artist is open for customs?
They will announce it here and/or the custom page. Check the artist page directory for information on prices. All custom forms still need to be posted on the Custom Page.

What is the trait selector?
It is a item that allows you to guarentee a gene passes (genetically). ex. Merle, Tobiano, Max striping etc.

What month do custom/breeding orders count as?
The month they are ordered is the month counted, not when they are posted

What are breeding items and how do I use them?
In the "Discord Shop" category, you can find three channels- Inventory, Invoices, and Item-Usage. In Inventory, you can purchase items (descriptions are included for most items!). You do this by sending a trade to Eleu! Once it is accepted, post with a screenshot of the accepted trade in Invoices. Then, whenever you use an item, post what item you used and with a link to where you used it in the Item-Usage channel!

When do breedings open?
Breedings open at random times, and artists will post here and/or on the breedings thread when they are open and how many slots they are taking! They may be First-Come-First-Serve (FCFS) or they may just select whatever breeding interests them the most! Never hurts to post your form. HOWEVER please only post when an artist is open! (To avoid confusion and cluttering the thread)

Why wasn't my breeding accepted?
There could be a number of reasons why your breeding was not accepted- first and foremost, check your form! Artists WILL NOT accept forms that do not follow the rules! (Ex. Having Zebras/Hounds that are not off their 2 week creation cooldown, or not having the proper permissions slip). Otherwise, it could just be that you were not quick enough to a FCFS slot, or that the artist was not interested/up to your breeding at that time. Try again next time!

What is a Stem Cell?
Stem Cell is a breeding item that allows you to breed 2 females or 2 males together, instead of having to breed 1 female x 1 male!

How many breeding items can I use?
There's no limit! As long as you have the items in your inventory, they can stack! (Ex. I can use a Zebra Twin Selector, Stem Cell, Sex Selector, and a Trait Selector all in one breeding!)
Litter Size and Twin Selector and Stem Cell can only be used once per breeding however. (Can't make a Zebra have more than 2 foals at once, or hounds have more than 4 pups at once!)

When will my breeding be done?
Artists are not required to complete a breeding as soon as they accept it! Please be patient, as real life sometimes gets in the way. If your breeding has not been completed after a month, then you may PM the artist to politely ask for an update on an estimated completion date!

Can I do a breeding myself?
If you mean can you have a breeding of your own Zebras/Hounds together, yes. However, if you mean can you actually create the foals/pups yourself, no! These are closed species, and only official artists may create breedings!

How do i order a custom
In order to order a custom, a artist must be open. You must post first on the customs page with what you are wanting. The artist will then pick who they wish to do the customs of and provide you with what your payment will be. PM/DMing forms will not hold your place as you must post on the customs thread to be accepted. You may only order 1 custom at a time

Can I buy one?
The only possible way to "buy" a zebra would be ordering a custom. Zebra cannot be bought or sold for any currency.

Vertical stripes, not too thick. Somewhat similar to stripes on tigers and zebras.

Tapir Stripes (TatTat)
Horizontal stripes, not too thick. Somewhat similar to stripes on baby tapirs.

Quoll Spots (QosQos)
Solid spots, not too large. Somewhat similar to the markings found on spotted quolls.

Cat Spots (CasCas)
Spots with an outline. Usually large.

𝚃𝚁𝙰𝙸𝚃𝚂

Teiron can be recognized by long tufts of fur on their jaw - sometimes braided or decorated with beads - as well as their rectangular snout, notched mouth, ear tufts, elongated paw pads with front thumbs, and excess fur on their neck and chest. Appearing similar to lynx and foxes, these creatures are similarly highly intelligent and fairly agile. Their size widely varies, with the biggest recorded adult standing at a whopping 5ft (omitting horns), and the smallest around 1ft.

Teiron come in a wide variety of shapes and colors, and commonly boast fluffy winter coats due to the extreme temperature variations of their planet. These coats are shed between seasons, but it does not seem to affect their coloring. The visible difference between their standard and winter coats are almost indistinguishable, but their winter coats can be up to 2.5x thicker than their standard coat! Without any natural predators, Teiron have been found in a wide variety of terrain and can come in vibrant colors or complicated patterns.

Teiron possess four toes on their back feet and five toes on their front, with the extra toe being useful as a thumb. Their large paw pads are also beneficial for traversing rough terrain, keeping balance, and gripping objects. They frequently use their paws similar to hands, allowing them to collect items, start hobbies, or obtain simple job-like roles within their tribe.

𝙱𝙴𝙷𝙰𝚅𝙸𝙾𝚁𝚂

Oddly enough, members of the species tend to share a few quirks. Teiron are very animated and expressive creatures. Many even enjoy sleeping flat on their back! Besides being very expressive, they are extremely social, forming groups or communities that are commonly called "tribes". Some Teiron have even been known to take roles in their tribes, and have formed simple civilizations. These roles include things such as gathering or cooking food, clearing trails, building shelters, or collecting resources. Although they are typically very social creatures, some may prefer space when it comes to their work. Many Teiron that do not work possess hobbies instead. Painting with natural materials is a common hobby, followed by jewelry making or other simple accessories, such as small bags or protective wear.

𝚂𝙷𝙰𝚁𝙳𝚂

Shards are the Teiron form of currency! They can be found on quests, by adventuring, or by entering for adopts. Shards seem to be everywhere, but we've tracked their origins to small meteorite-like objects that frequently fall. They seem to be small enough that they don't cause any damage, except for the occasional dent in the ground. They arrive in a range of temperatures, with some being nearly frozen and others being almost red hot, but most seem to be tolerable to hold.

𝙵𝙸𝚁𝚂𝚃𝚂

The original inhabitants of the planet and first Teirons are often referred to as the "Firsts". They are said to have shaped the planet and its creations. There are many theories for where the Firsts have gone. A popular one is that they are spread amongst the moons. Another is that they had to go into hiding and are trapped under the surface, in the center of the planet, with a big fire to provide light and keep them warm. This is all just speculation and rumors, as there is very little evidence of them even existing. It's a question that still floats around today: if they were so powerful... where are they now?
