Bullet’s eyes gleam in the early morning light as he tiptaps in a tight circle, tangling his owner’s legs with his longline. Huffing in a short breathe Bullet can scent the life crawling from inside the meadow. Unable to restrain himself on his first trip into the unknown Bullet races ahead of his human, only snapping back to himself when he hits the end of his leash. Ahh, right. Greyhound legs go much faster than human ones. Circling back Bullet can’t resist stopping to sniff the lingering smells, who was here most recently? How were they feeling? His tongue lolls out of his mouth as he takes in the wide open space and knows deep in his hindbrain that this would soon become a favourite place filled with hours of fulfilment and fun. (133)

Your Greyhound follows a scent trail - what do they find at the end? [+1 common ticket - 200 word min / clean sketch min]
The pack sets out in chaotic blur of wagging tails and playful lunging, excited whining whistles through the air behind them. Long limbs fly by as each dog takes turns leading the charge in whatever direction catches their attention, Bullet takes off sprinting deep into the meadow, Red switches it up and books it to the left and causes a collision that sends them sprawled into a gangly doggy pile right there on the grassy carpet. Selkie lays there winded while the other two restart their crazy games, that is until the wind shifts just slightly and her nostrils flare. Narrowing her eyes in concentration, Selkie hauls herself to her feet and drops her head to the floor. Paw after paw slowly leads Selkie towards the now irresistible scent of something forbidden, winding around stones, through bushes and under a park bench, all obstacles that threaten to stop Selkie on her new quest. No matter, the scent is thicker now, to the point that Selkie can now use a sighthound’s most valuable trait to navigate them, her eyes. Glancing around she spots something that looks juusst this side of odd laying there forgotten under the protective cover of the long grass. Creeping closer Selkie glances left, nothing there, looks right, nope, and then makes her move. Snapping her jaws around a half eaten hamburger and wolfing it down before anyone can take it from her makes her instincts glow with pride. The sounds of her disappointed packmates and her human’s scolding only make it all the more worthwhile. A hunt well done, even if it wasn’t a typical highspeed chase like she had hoped she still feels more than satisfied with today. (282)

Q: Where is the shop? Where do I buy MYO tickets and edit items?
A: All Stars items, including MYO tickets, are now sold in StarClan's shop! Purchase forms are posted directly on the archives using the "buying items" form.

Q: When is StarClan's shop restocked?
A: Typically somewhere around the first few days of the month! There isn't an exact schedule and restocks aren't always announced.

Q: Who can approve my MYO?
A: The only users permitted to officially approve MYOs at the moment are I Like Bees and Vivika!

Q: Can I buy MYOs with C$ / tokens / pets?
A: At the moment, MYOs and other items are only available for in-game currency (stardust). Items may not be traded for C$ either, unless they meet the limited exceptions from the trade rules on the archives.

Q: May I create a cat off-Oekaki?
A: Yes, you can find the info on our off-Oekaki MYO thread!

Q: I'm not added to the MYO cover! How do I make my cat?
A: Just post on this thread to ask to be added and I'll add you asap! ^^

Q: Can I transfer an existing design into Stars?
A: Yes! However, you must receive clear permission from the artist who created the design to transfer it into Stars, and provide this during the approval process. Additionally, you must include credit to the original designer in your post. Please keep in mind that the design may need to undergo changes to fit Stars guidelines.

Q: Does my Common MYO (C MYO) get unlimited common edits?
A: Yes! All C MYO tickets have unlimited common edits.

Q: Does my Uncommon MYO (UC MYO) get unlimited common edits? Does my Rare MYO (R MYO) get unlimited uncommon and common edits?
A: Yes to both of these! All MYO tickets get unlimited edits of the rarities below the ticket rarity. For example, an uncommon MYO ticket gets unlimited common and NR edits.

Q: Can I add another edit to my cat after it's already been approved?
A: After a cat has been approved, you may not edit the design without applying the proper rarity edit item (you can buy these in StarClan's shop). All edits to existing approved cats must be applied via color-in and receive approval again. Be sure to fill out a "using items" form on the archives so your cat can be approved!

Q: Where can I find info on a specific item?
A: Our regular item descriptions are in StarClan's shop, and our event-exclusive item info is hosted here!

Q: Can MYOs be kits/apprentices?
A: Yes! You will be responsible for their growths, and the date that they can grow will be given when they're approved.

Q: What should I do if I want to add an edit that will only appear on my cat's reference once the cat is grown?
A: You should list every edit your cat, once grown, will have when posting the original kitten/apprentice reference for approval. If you do not list this edit, we will only be able to assume that your cat will have the default lines, and you will need to apply edit items for any new edits shown.

Q: When can my MYO grow?
A: Your MYO can grow from kit to apprentice 3 weeks after the MYO was posted, and apprentice to warrior after an additional 3 weeks! If you skip the apprentice growth, your kit will still take 6 weeks to grow to a warrior. These growth dates go by the time your cat was posted, not the time they were approved. Growths cannot be approved until the day they are scheduled to grow.

Q: Can I post my MYO's growths in advance / during the approval process?
A: Yes! You're welcome to post all three (or two) growths at the same time, to ensure all their markings and edits are accurate and won't require future editing or use of edit items later down the line. However, your cat's growths cannot be approved until the date(s) they're scheduled to grow, and you may not use their growths until the growths are approved!

I've pulled out this species from my archives that I use to work on to now work and flesh out their species and lore!

If you don't want to read the whole lore document, here's a quick rundown:

Drascums are guardians of creatures big and small, land or sea-dwelling. They care for orphaned and injured creatures, and one Drascum can care for up to three at a time (more or less depending on the animal.) They are travelers of all lands, be it the cold tundras or the salty seas. The main species types are Land, water, and arboreal. These split off into subspecies, such as swamp type, cave dwellers, and more. These Drascums are harder to find since there aren't many that have been discovered yet.

Drascums are a closed species. Please do not replicate them or their lore intentionally, thank you.

Species Rules

-This is a closed species. While you can certainly make hybrids similar to this, please do not directly copy their designs or lore.
-In the future, there will be free adoptables and MYO tickets. Once you obtain a MYO ticket or adopt, you are allowed to gift the adopt/MYO right away, however I ask you do not sell them directly after you get them just as a way to profit.

-A design you create from a MYO ticket must first be approved by CoffeeEX (Creator) to be considered the Drascum species and to be used for breeding.
-If you have questions or concerns, please PM CoffeeEX or post on this thread.

Reference Guidelines
-Please do not edit the reference lines UNLESS you are adding accessories, pets the Drascum is caring for, scars, expressions, or changes in pupils.
-They must always have a half, sphere-like Perception Horn. It can be broken or damaged, but they always have one (or remains of one) on their forehead, chest, or between the shoulder blades.
-Customs from MYOs must first be approved by staff to be a true Drascum.
-You do not need to notify staff about transfers, however it is advised to (or else information could become incorrect.)

Breeding
-Drascums lay pearl-like eggs, usually in clusters of one to three.
-You cannot breed two Drascums unless you have an explicit Nursery Ticket.
-There will be special breeding events where the user's Drascums can be paired with a Mystic Drascum to get Mystic and other rare traits with the offspring. Stay tuned

-Nursery Tickets will be given away at random at the Nursery thread.
-Breedings can only happen between adult Drascums, which are 30 days old (Equivalent to one year)
-A single Drascum may only breed twice (requires two separate Nursery Tickets)
-Drascums can breed with each other regardless of gender, however if you are looking to breed with another Drascum owner, there must be proof of their consent to breed their Drascum out.

Drascums have a wide variety of attributes, especially depending on their species and sub species type. Generally, more specific traits tend to stay with what species would make sense for them, such as gills being only with water drascums. On rare occasions, hybrid drascums will be found with mismatched traits. These drascums are considered either as outcasts or regarded as high royalty depending on what tribe they are apart of.

Below is an example of a drascum and its traits, to get an idea of how they are laid out :)

Phenotype Traits:
Medium horns (Universal, Common)
Small Perception Horn (Universal, Common)

Blubber (Species-specific, Common, Linebred)

Genotype Traits:
This Drascum does not have unique and/or mutated genes

Magical Abilities?: Yes

Magic Potential: This creature has a higher than normal magic potential!
Magic Color: Red

Linebred traits mean those traits are typical for that species of drascum, such as blubber being typical of water drascums.

Drascums have a myriad of traits, though there are some to note. They classify as Common, Uncommon, Rare, Mystic, and Nightmarish. Nightmarish traits are traits on a drascum that make them naturally evil and coniving. These drascums are often not seen in a tribe, usually picking off other drascums and their companions.

Welcome to the Drascums Nursery!

General Page Archive Transfers

Here, any two Drascums can breed for a chance to lay pearl-like eggs that soon hatch Drascum kits. Each Drascum kit will have attributes passed on from their parents by chance. You can also purchase special attributes to be passed on to a certain kit. (Kits are hatched with small horns that eventually grow to full size unless they have a certain attribute that keeps them small)

Before you breed your Drascums, you will need a Nursery Ticket.
Nursery Tickets can be acquired the same way regular adopts can be (Raffled, auctioned, base price)
Nursery Tickets will open up as a posted comment, so keep your eyes peeled!

Nursery Rules

-General page rules apply.
-Not all tickets will be FCFS.
-No rudeness/harassment will be tolerated.
-Related Drascums cannot breed.
-Drascum kits cannot breed.
-A Drascum becomes an adult after 30 days (equivalent to one year)
-Attributes are randomly rolled for unless passed by purchasing a specific attribute.
-Drascums may only breed four times (Requires four separate tickets)
-If breeding with another Drascum owner, proof of consent to breed their Drascum out must be shown.
-Users must wait two weeks after breeding to purchase another ticket to breed their Drascum again.
-Do not fill out a form and post it if no tickets are available.
-Please refrain from editing your form after posting it.

The nursery will only be open for pairs for a limited time.
Since our nursery artists have much on their plates already, we want to allow them plenty of time to do their best! DO NOT pester an artist for when they will finish litters and/or growths, unless you have not heard anything from them in their allotted time. If an artist goes completely silent, feel free to reach out to staff for support.

Growths may only happen after [AMOUNT OF TIME].
As an artist, you may make the cubs and their growths at any time, as long as they are posted within a reasonable time of when the growth was supposed to happen. (You may save it in your drafts!)

Growths may be done by anyone.
As long as the design is consistent from the cub to the adult lines, the growth may be done by an official artist, the owner, or any other user with the cub's owner's permission. See the [url]Growths & Transfers[/url] thread for further information.

There is a 5% chance your cub will mutate to have a higher rarity trait.
For every cub, artists will roll a d100, and if it lands on 1-5, your cub will get 1 trait of a higher rarity that your artist deems matches the design! For example, my uncommon cub can get one rare trait that will match the overall design.

We understand if you want to make cute babies for your friends who have the proper items, but please make sure to keep things fair! We also highly recommend using this website for all your rolling needs, as it is actually random, instead of algorithmic like other websites (Google).

this sounds really interesting and i would def be interested! i think allowing customs lines is the way to go, that way lots of breeds can be included without having a million sets of lines, and it attracts users who don't like using bases
uh content wise, this is just me tossing spaghetti at the wall here, but maybe for some common and uncommon traits you could have stuff like longer/shorter fur than breed standard, larger/smaller, long ears/tail, stuff like that? so not too out there but still distinct from other dogs? i'd also recommend having some kind of guide handy for typical breed features
some silly stuff here but i think having consumable items (like myos and breeding tickets) be stuff like dog treats and bones would be cute

there’s not exact breed standard for any dog but adding edits like this can actually work out a lot! especially as this a fantasy game, unnatural edits like this can honestly go super well wow

A Crowntail looks like an average pony, ranging from 10hh-14hh, with a lean yet sturdy build full of powerful muscles, but of course they do have a few qualities that pertain to their aquatic namesake. For starters, their unnaturally colored mane and tail closely resemble betta fish fins, specifically the crowntail variety; their long flexible quill-like 'spines' are wrapped in a fine and velvety textured webbing that bobs and flutters with their body movements. Their heel feathering is also made of a fin-type webbing, though they are much thicker with sharp tipped spines, often used for fighting purposes in the wild. Equally used for dominance is their sharp wolf-teeth, something common on the average male horse, but is seen on all crowntails regardless of gender and at much larger sizes than the average equine. Their orb like eyes are equally less equine with a bioluminescent glow in the darkness due to their lack of pupils, though their eyesight is exquisite. Their body is also covered in a very thin layer of shimmery scales, with short rough fur layered overtop. In some cases Crowntails may exhibit mutations as well, though these have yet to be documented in the wild.

Coloration
The colors on the species ranges, but all patterns are described as strictly equine. It is most common to see paint-type patterns, while the rarest variation known is pure black or white. The mane and tail can appear in any coloration, natural or unnatural, though they are more regularly blended color fades in shades of blue and red. Patterning on their webbing is unusual with the exception of stripping or highlight spines, but other mutations such as spotting are possible. Their eyes, inner ears, and hooves can also sometimes present with unnatural colorations, and while their eyes do not have dark pupils, seeing multiple colors is a fairly common trait.

Behavior
Crowntails are known by many other names, but none so popular as the Thai Fighting Quids. This name comes with no surprise, as these creatures are naturally ferocious fighters in the wild. They lead in a dictatorship style pack, with one Crownie guiding and protecting the swarm. If any member of the swarm is out of line, or attempts to challenge the leader in any way, they will automatically fight to the death. This is especially common with masculine presenting quids or protective parental figures. It is because of this that it is very important for their caretakers to keep domestic Crownies in very large territories, and to separate aggressive individuals to their own enclosures. For these reasons, it is not encouraged to attempt to saddle or halter even the most domestic individuals.

Diet
Much like other scavengers, Crownies can eat just about anything. Their diet should be high in proteins in order to keep up the same vibrant colors in the mane and tail, however they can easily survive without meat, as most plant materials provide higher protein levels with easier digestion. It is common to find native swarms presenting their own unique food preferences, such as northern groups preferring plant roots or eastern swarms preferring aquatic algaes, but the overall consensus is the same with each; the species is VERY food motivated. In domestic groups, caretakers tend to prefer providing their swarms with grain-based diets, with the additions of raw aquatic plants such as kelp and seaweed to adhere to proper nutritional standards. Freeze dried fish or invertebrate are also encouraged, and some caretakers will even offer frozen thawed feeder rodents. Large prey items or live prey should be avoided in captivity however, as it can encourage crownies to become more food aggressive toward each other and their handlers.

Health
One of the many reasons that this species has been dwindling down in nature is due to a plethora of health issues. Historically, crownies would produce thousands of eggs and often raise full batches of offspring as to outmaneuver their population decline when offspring presented with certain life threatening ailments. Now a days they do not breed as rapidly, yet illness is still a major problem for them. Common health concerns include bloat due to incorrect diets, skin lesions or ammonia burns due to dirty water, eye loss and blindness due to fungal infections, hoof rot due to dry climates, and fin rot due to pollution. Many of these issues can usually be avoided in captivity with proper care, so it is incredibly important for caretakers to maintain their environment diligently.

Mating
When two crowntails mate, eggs are produced by an intertwining of the tails, in which DNA from both parents of any gender combines and results in a small batch of fertilized eggs. Mating occurs only in bodies of water, where the eggs will form inbetween the spines of both parents tail fins within a few minutes of locking up. The eggs will then shed off into the water to develop over the course of a two week period. One or both parents will work tirelessly to protect the eggs, blowing foamy bubbles into the water to cradle them and furiously attacking any moving thing that comes near them. Though they may produce up to a hundred eggs, only one or two eggs will have developed far enough to hatch, and any unhatched eggs will be killed or abandoned by the parents for scavengers to feast on. Newly-hatched foals are fully capable of managing on their own from this point, though most prefer to stay with their parents or integrate into the swarm for safety. In domestic swarms, it is common practice for caretakers to create man-made hatching ponds in fenced off areas where the parents can be moved in and out of the denoted spot safely. This is so that the caretakers have the ability to check on the foal's growth, while still allowing the crownies to interact with their young naturally, without getting eaten alive by the protective parents.

Habitat
Wild Crowntails are said to be native to the coasts of Thailand, living in and among the muddy rivers, lakes, and especially marshlands, though the variety we have now is more commonly known as having originated from small remote island caves along the eastern american shore. Though they do not need to live in water to breathe, they do still require large bodies of fresh or salt water in order to properly forage and breed. The most preferred water sources are bayshores with freshwater rivers and saltwater marshes connected to it. Crownies can technically live like any other equine, settled in stables and barns with large pastures to explore and feed in, however it is unhealthy for a Crownie to go long without access to submersible-deep water. To accommodate their needs when living farther inland, barns are usually fitted with saltwater misters in the ceilings, shallow freshwater pools on the floor of each stall, and of course a large lake or pond somewhere within the pasture. The more clean cycled water that is available the happier, healthier and more vibrant-looking your swarm will be!

Mutations
Some crowntails have been known to show certain mutations. These are usually very rare, and they tend to affect the crownies behavior and abilities. Below is a list of all known mutations along with passing rates and how it may affect the crowntail.

Colored Scales | 60% Passing Rate | Crowntails with unnaturally colored sections of scales on their body tend to have more sensitive skin. It's important to keep them very clean and avoid salt water as this can cause sores or brittle scales. They often prefer running rivers/streams.

Slit Pupils | 50% Passing Rate | Slit pupils have little affect on behavior, but often decreases their eyesight slightly. They may be clumsier or less agile when hunting. This altered body language may also cause other crowntails to outcast them. They tend to not last long in the wilds.

Facial and/or Hoof Fluff | 40% Passing Rate | Crowntails found in cooler climates or areas with harsher winter tempatures have mutated to show extra fluff and thicker fur. This is much more commonly seen in captivity. With this thicker fur, they can sometimes overheat more easily, so cool water or good ventilation is a must.

Curled Ears | 30% Passing Rate | Curled ears, otherwise known as marwari ears, has little affect on the health or behavior of crowntails. Some offspring do have issues with hearing for the first few days unlike hatchlings with regular ears, but this goes away with adulthood.

Gills | 20% Passing Rate | In some flooded climates, a few crowntail swarms have evolved to having gills. These gills are fully functional and allow the crowntail to breath under water for extended periods of time. It also causes them to tire more easily out of water however, and makes it impossible for them to breathe well at higher altitudes. They can also be more prone to fin rot or ammonia burns, due to being waterlogged constantly and entering dirty waters out of desperation.

Fantail Fins | 10% Passing Rate | A seemingly random mutation, fantail crownies do not appear to have any major complications in young specimins. Their fins are slightly more delicate and may tear more easily, but not at a concerning rate. In some older fantail finned crownies however, it's been noted that the fins grow in length significantly and become much heavier to maneuver, which may cause them to tire more easily. Because of this, elderly crowntails with this mutation are very rarely ever seen surviving well out in the wild, and captive fantailed equines may require more regular fin trimming to help take some strain off their aging joints. Fin nipping, a common self-mutilation behavior akin to parrots plucking their feathers, may arise in some extreme cases.

Horns | 5% Passing Rate | The rarest trait a crowntail can have is horns or boney growths of some form. These are always unique to the individual (custom lined) and can appear anywhere on the body in any shape. These can appear as almost anything - ramshorns, antlers, spiraled horns, unicorn horns, elbow/leg/cheek spikes, really any number of unique shapes. Horns are often used in battle and as such a horned crowntail is usually always a dominant figure, leading large swarms and securing many mates. Those keeping more aggressive or difficult crownies in their herd may seek out well trained horned crowntails to help keep everyone safe and the unruly herd members under control, so they are highly sought after and unfortunately often illegally poached from their native wild herds.

General Rules

- All crownies from V1 and V2 are breedable and useable in events/activities.
- You may adopt as many as you want, and as many as you like a day unless otherwise stated.
- You may trade or gift your crownies, but only one per week. To do so you must contact the archivist and the artist who originally posted your crownie to properly have the ownership information switched over.
- You may give your Crownie any gender expression; this is generally preferred for the species as it suits their species traits, though of course it is not necessary.
- You may provide a show name if desired, but it is not required. Barn names will be used for any event, archive, or breeding form.
- You may not make your own unless you have acquired an MYO token and gone through the proper channels first.
- You may not use other user's crownies unless given specific permission to do so.
- Any rudeness toward other members or staff, here or on discord, will result in a ban from the species. Always show kindness. If you have an issue with someone, please bring it up to me via PM.

Breeding Rules

- You may breed any single crownie once a month, even if they have twins.
- Any gender/sex pairing may breed, MxF / MxM / FxF / XxX / ?x?
- Inbreeding is allowed, but only second gen or up. Meaning, you cannot breeding a crownie to it's siblings, offspring, or parents, but you could breed it to it's half siblings, grandparents, cousins, etc etc. Please be sure to keep track of this as any crownies found to be too severely inbred will be sterilized.
- Each crownie has 10 breeding slots, but will gain 5 more each year. It is your job to keep track, but those caught going over the limits will have their crownie sterilized as well as any offspring created past said limits.
- Please do not specifically ask for twins. Each breeding artist may choose if they want to do twin breedings at all, and if so then each breeding will have a 25% chance of resulting in twins.
- It is the artists choice whether or not to allow trait requests, and if so it is equally their choice to deny requests. No artist is ever required to complete your trait requests - they are requests/ideas/suggestions only.
- You may always choose the gender/sex of your crownies offspring, but everything else such as their coat color, markings, eye color, finnage, ect will be determined by the breeding artist.
- A foal will be considered a full grown adult after two weeks (14 days) from the date the breeding artist posts them. They will not be breedable until after their growth date.
- You may gift, trade, or put your foal(s) up for public adoption at any point after they have been posted until those fourteen days are up. If traded or gifted, the owner must post with the foals information to properly claim them. If going up for adoption, the artist who created them will hold a public adoption through whichever method they see fit.
- Artists are not required to make changes or alterations to any created foals just because you do not like them. You may however talk to the breeding artist or message me if something went wrong or breaks the species rules.
- You may trade, gift, or sell (for C$ or art/writing/etc payments only) breeding slots from your crownies as you please.

Custom & MYO Rules

- Customs must stick to the species guidelines. Base coats need to be natural and based on horse coats. Fins can be whatever color you'd like, though there should not be any strange patterning used on them (ex; no drawing scenes, writing, ect).
- Line edits and the use of premade mutations (or custom made horns) is totally fine.
- Items, scars, body damage, etc is all allowed within reason. Per CS rules, there may be no detailed gore/open wounds.
- There is no rarity tier for customs or MYOs. Artists may charge more for more detailed designs, but there are generally no limitations to the markings as long as they are equine based. (You may be required to share a photo of a marking on a real horse if it seems too far out of the range of 'natural'.)
- Chimerics, brindles, ect are allowed without any limitation/rarity system. As long as it's believable that it could be seen on a horse, it counts as a natural coat.
- Do not ask for free customs or MYOs for any reason. You will receive a warning.
- Artists are not required to give out refunds if the custom is not what you want it to be. However in the case the artist is entirely unable to complete your custom, you are entitled to a refund. Please contact me if any issues arise with this.
- Depending on the individual artist's rules, generally you may only request changes one time. Continuing to ask for changes/alterations to your custom is not allowed. Artists reserve the right to deny changes if they want to.
- Customs/MYOs purchased for real life currency may be resold, with a notification to the artist and archivist, for the exact same cost that you paid initially. Customs/MYOs received for game currency, in trades, or for free may not be sold whatsoever.

Artist Rules

- Adopts should be titled #000 - TBN | TBD when first posted. When they have been adopted, TBN should be changed to the crownies barn name, and TBD should be changed to the username of the new owner.
- Regularly check the archive (if actively being updated) to ensure the adopt numbering is correct. If you notice a mistake, please PM me or post in the staff chat section of the discord.
- Please use the correct adopt template when posting. Do not alter the coding/formatting unless you are making a personalized form for event adopts.
- You may release as many Crownies a day as you wish, but try to keep quality over quantity.
- Feel free to come and go as you wish, you will not be removed for being inactive unless you leave CS for over six months.
- Always stick to species guidelines. If you're unsure, ask before posting.
- Minor line edits are perfectly fine, and you may use mutations as you wish (as long as rarer ones are not overly common, and try to be reasonable about making mutations of any rarity very very infrequently - we want to keep them special!)
- Do not give them dark pupils. You may do eye markings such as heterochromia or add colors of a slighty different shade to the pupil area, but nothing resembling harsh/black pupils.
- While crownies must have an equine based coat, you do have some creative liberty with this, as coat colors/genetics are not a requirement of the species. Do avoid making designs that look painted on however, and try to keep them relatively natural.
- I encourage you to play around with the highlights and shading, both in color and opacity. The same goes for the lineart. Adjust as needed to suit your design. Fin highlights and shading can be any color you'd like to get the desired effect.
- Cellophane fins are not a mutation. Feel free to adjust or alter the fin color opacity as you please.
- If you alter the fin transparency in any way, be sure to create a color-in image with the original background titled 'Cellophane Reference' so that the transparency level is easily viewable. This makes breedings much easier (otherwise, we might assume the fins are white and produce white finned babies by mistake - oops!)
- Semicustom adopt contests are allowed, but only for either fins or base coat, not both. Meaning you must either design the base coat and let users pick the fin colors/patterns, or you must design the fins and let users pick the base coat colors/patterns. Full semicustom adopt contests or full custom adopt contests are reserved for special events only. When doing this, you MUST add me to the image (ShadyBro) in case you are unable to judge/complete the design for any reason.
- You may gift anyone you wish, and make as many customs as you like, all within reason.
- If you want to do breedings, go ahead and make a post in the breeding hub. You do not need to ask permission and there are no limitations outside of the normal rules on how you do your breedings.

Aspen. A tree-like fable that grows like bamboo shoots. Their height remains the same, yet their knowledge and will for life prospers. They are the embodiment of humanity's 'faunagender', a xenogender people identify with proudly in some communities across Prismatica.

Aspen is like the shady willow tree little ones lay underneath on a sunny day. Meditation is a tool that they use frequently, often being caught off guard by clients when they happen to meditate too long during their breaks.

Aspen represents the passion for animals humanity has. Whether that means those people identify as an animal or feel kin to one at heart and soul, or just love animals as part of their family, Aspen embodies it all.

Aspen's favorite color is creme yellow. They often don yellow flower bracelets on their legs, which are real buttercups enchanted to withstand potential damage, as they lay a lot in fable form and get up.

Aspen is rarely seen in humanoid form, but for occasions that require it, Aspen appears in their favorite pastel yellow sweater and mustard yellow jeans, with genuine jade bracelets on both wrists. Their hair is a long mess due to their antlers remaining in human form, making it difficult to style their hair, although their antlers are way shorter than in their fable form, allowing for shirts and sweaters to be pulled over carefully. Aspen stands at a solid 5'7" in humanoid form.

Aspen adores honey in tea, cream cakes, and fruit salads. Berries are a neat snack for Aspen as well. They live on the outskirts of Alchemy City and practice medicine for fables and animals alike. [273 Words]

Kalons [ka·lon] are generally long-furred omnivorous creatures similar in body structure to fossa. These eupleridae vary in size from a house cat to a full-grown liger. They are red blooded, viviparous, and highly protective of their young until the offspring reaches maturity. Their paws are dexterous for grasping food, climbing trees, and to groom one another. The diet of a Kalon tends to consist of fruits, nuts, fish, and insects although some are also known to eat other meat.

A unique trait specific to the species is a shining, flexible iridescent material found on their tails used mostly for identification and showing off which is helpful when spotting another Kalon from afar. The shine can be compared to a hummingbird or snake’s natural iridescence, and this shimmering association to their own kind has led to many Kalons hoarding shiny or colorful objects they come across. They also tend to create close bonds with fellow species members, especially those within a family unit. They communicate through a series of chatters and growls, each succession of noises unique to form a sort of language. These creatures are active both during the day and the night cycles usually spending time napping in the sunlight or hunting prey after dark.

Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient. Scientists have urged the general population to consider adopting Kalons for further study into their aptitude. Their intelligence has been called similar to that of dolphins.

Human interference with the species, such as radiation or their sensitivity to airwaves, has caused hundreds of these creatures to form harmless mutations. These genetic transformations vary greatly such as additional limbs, excessive fur growth, and even glowing body parts. The most elusive Kalons are known as legends that walk the earth capable of possessing wings or transparency.

✦ Kalons is a closed species and only Staff Members may make official Main or Nursery adopts. Community members may make Kalon designs official with the use of MYO slots.
✦ Users may own an unlimited amount of Kalons. They may only win three Main Adopts or RUs per month. The month is determined by when the Kalon is posted, not when the competition is judged. NBs and special event Kalons do not count towards this limit.
✦ Selling or purchasing Kalons for any type of payment [money, virtual currency, art, etc.] is prohibited.
✦ Users may not use the Kalon base to sell pre-made designs for the species. They may offer their commission services to design MYOs for users.
✦ Designs purchased on other bases may be transferred to Kalon designs as MYOs with the permission of the original artist. Designs that exist as Kalons may not concurrently be part of others closed species.
✦ Kalons may be transferred out of the species with permission from the original designer and the species owner.
✦ Once in a users ownership, they are free to develop a Kalons character as they'd like within the Kalon rules.

✦ Kalons can be any romantic or sexual orientation, and any gender.
✦ Kalon kits should not be in romantic or sexual relationships with adults.
✦ Kalons should not be in incestuous relationships.
✦ Users may roleplay and write for their Kalons.
✦ Users may draw or create any sort of art for their Kalons.

✦ All Kalon customs, growths, and edits must be officially approved by a Kalon Staff member, and either posted on oekaki or added to the Kalon TH Archive.
✦ To request an approval, users may post in the appropriate channels in our discord server, or PM a staff member who is open for approvals.
✦ Kalon growths may only be officially approved one month after the batch was posted.
✦ When editing the Kalon base, please follow the trait guidelines for different edits. The muzzle and back lines of a Kalon must remain untouched.
✦ Users may not edit Official Kalons without the use of edit items. Kalons designs must remain the same and should not be edited.
✦ Changing a Kalons expression is allowed and does not need approval. This includes the expression of the eyes, mouth, eyebrows, and whiskers. Colors and traits must remain the same when editing an expression.

✦ The Kalon base should not be custom sized. Official x2 lines are available in the Kalon discord server, as well as through this link.

✦ Kalons on the V1 lines may be transferred to the V2.5 lines. Kalons originally created off oekaki may be transferred to oekaki. Both require approval from a Staff Member once complete for the new reference to be official.
✦ Approved growths may be regrown if they are inaccurate to the original kit, with the permission of the species owner.
✦ Users may revamp a custom once with the permission of the species owner, as long as it has never traded hands or been bred.

✦ Kalon Artists open nursery slots as they see fit. Users may post tickets trying out for any open nursery slots.
✦ Nursery batches will result in 1-4 kits, randomly rolled, unless a breeding item is used to determine number.
✦ Traits passed from the parents are randomly rolled with predetermined rates based on trait rarity and the number of parents in the ticket containing the traits. These rates, along with breeding item uses can be seen on the breeding rolls sheet.
✦ Rolls for traits and kit number may be requested from the artist who took a user's ticket. Legendary trait rolls will be done in the public discord channel.
✦ Users must wait one week after obtaining a Kalon before they can breed it.
✦ Users must wait one month after a nursery ticket has been accepted before trying out for a new one.
✦ Kalons have a maximum of 3 free breedings. A fourth breeding slot may be purchased from the Kalon shop.
✦ Any items being used in a breeding must be on the ticket at the time of posting.
✦ Nursery tickets can be between either two or three Kalons.
✦ Any pair or trio of Kalons can breed regardless of sex or gender.
✦ Kalons that are kits that have not had an official growth approved cannot breed. Users cannot seek breedings with Kalon kits until they have an approved growth.
✦ Incestuous pairings cannot breed.
✦ If at least a month has past and a user cannot get into contact with the artist who took on their nursery ticket, they may contact the species owner to find a new artist for the ticket.

✦ Once a Nursery Batch is posted, kit fates must be determined and agreed upon between the users involved in the ticket. If an agreement cannot be reached, a Staff Member can be contacted to roll fates publicly in the Kalon discord.
✦ Fates of kits must be posted on their NB thread to be official and for all cooldowns to start.

[ Strikes & Bans List ]

✦ Users banned from the Kalon species may not interact with any Kalon threads or the Kalon discord server, including but not limited to trying out for new adopts or readoptions, applying for breedings, or participating in events. Banned users may not obtain new Kalons, grow kits, trade Kalons, or use MYO slots. Banned users may also not take any commissions involving Kalons.

✦ Users who repeatedly break rules in the Kalon discord server may be banned temporarily or permanently from the server, without being banned from the species entirely.

✦ The Kalon species reserves the right to strike or ban any user via majority Kalon staff vote in accordance with the assessed severity of the situation.
✦ Users are usually given three strikes before a complete ban. Occasionally for offenses great enough, users may be banned before being given any strikes.
✦ Kalons of banned users may be readopted based on the severity of the case. This usually occurs in cases where the Staff is concerned banned users may scam others with sales of their Kalons.

✦ Occasionally if an artist feels entries for Main Adopt Kalon competitions that did not win are deserving of recognition, that artist will award honorable mentions, colloquially known as HMs. Users who have accumulated enough HMs may trade them in for MYO slots and edit items.

✦ HMs may be redeemed in the Kalon Shop.

this is an idea i've had yeaaars ago. initially a ferret/pangolin crossover that originally served as an oc, but... what if it doesn't just stay an oc? 👀 i'm leaning towards the version with a generic furry nose and maybe ears could just be an edit, but i'd love to hear The Voice Of The People TM before I venture any further to see if it's even worth it ;v; i CRAVE doing species again

So if these became a closed species, how likely would you be to follow them on their journey?
if they do gain some traction and youd like to be a part of staff please do reach out! it's always better to do these things as a group ;u;

I'm also not entirely sold on the name, if anyone has a better suggestion <3

These are adorable! I'd love to see them made real. ^^ I wish I had the energy to help, but I sadly am too tired too much of the time to be depended upon. I'm very partial to the upper 'hiss' nose + ears, the one where he's all curled around. So cute. I'd love it if they just randomly blew fire/other elements like a dragon :3

A tattered scrap of paper lays at your feet, blown by the wind. Its edges are singed and frayed, as though held over flame. You squint to attempt to read it, and realize that this paper is a massive discovery; some kind of new species. A research paper, perhaps?

... are a recently discovered species, first found on a remote island with a large amount of volcanic activity. they're odd hybrids of wolves and bats, and it appears their vestigial wings can be found on different parts of their body ... recent sightings claim that these wings can even be large enough to achieve flight! one of the researchers said that there were signs of far larger creatures.. their build is quite stocky due to the terrain being rough and uneven. Their pawprints also have shown signs of ... elemental magic ... we have decided to call this species "magpyres."

Below the faded scrawl sits a diagram, covered in hastily written notes pointing to their features.

This specimen appears to be one the researcher had caught sight of, and decided to memorialize. You grip the paper tightly, and decide that you're going to seek out this mysterious new species.

MYOs

What's an MYO? How do I get one?
MYO stands for make your own! You can get MYO tokens and trait items from events, or from the shop!

I made an MYO! How do I get it approved?
You can post your oekaki thread link in the ⁠seeking-approval channel, and a staff member will approve it when they can! Please note that Magpyres without approval from a staff member are not considered a part of the species!

Staff

What separates staff from community members?
Staff are pillars of the community who help make the species a fun place to be, and receive special perks for their hard work- staff members can claim items from the staff-exclusive shop every month! These items may cycle in and out of the pool to keep things fresh and interesting, and to allow staff members to claim proper payment for their hard work.

How can I become a member of the staff team?
When staff applications open, everyone in the server will receive a ping! All you have to do is take a small quiz to prove your mastery over Magpyres traits and species requirements, and you'll receive a message from a @Species Creator!

What does each staff role do?
Artists create adopts, either on-base or custom lined, and can host them here or on oekaki! They can post free and paid adopts, though any real-world currency transactions must be done off of cs. Any artist can also make nursery batches by completing a trial nursery artist search and receiving the appropriate role.

Archivists keep track of our bank and our archives, logging new adopts and keeping track of who owns which magpyre! In order to keep things tidy, any exchanges of magpyres, items, or MYO tokens should be done on the archive update thread and logged accordingly.

Moderators keep the server neat and tidy by locking up adopt threads, keeping an eye out for any non cs-safe content in discord statuses or about me sections, and deleting any spammed messages. This helps keep channels free from clutter.

Adopts

I've won an adopt! How do I claim them?
When you win an adopt in the discord, you'll want to post on the Magpyres off-oekaki thread! This is where we can keep track of the adopts made and their owners, as well as archive them! If your adopt is from oekaki, there's no need to claim it on the thread!

I'd like to make an adopt but I'm not an artist, what should I do?
If you'd like to practice on the Magpyres lines, you can find our artist search on the main Magpyres page! Click on the artist search page, and then click 'color me in' to open chickenpaint!

Shop

What can I buy from the shop?
The shop has many different items, such as MYOs, nursery tickets, and a variety of trait items! Keep an eye on the shop, because these items refresh monthly!

How much are shop items and what can I pay for them with?
We want to keep shop items affordable for all users! All items in the shop can be purchased with either C$ or USD! Please note that all USD purchases must be discussed on discord! Prices aren't set in stone just yet, so we as a team would like to poll the community on what they think fair pricing would be for items.

Where do I send my C$ / USD payment?
You can send payments to either myself, or HOLOGHOST! Once payment has been sent, we'll approve your purchase and log it in the archives.

What is Wonders of the wild?
Well, we are an adoption agency that specializes in pairing special bicorns with someone who will care for them. The population of these beautiful equines has simply outgrown our resource capabilities.

The descendants of these bicorns stepped from the fey wilds many moons ago. They were wild and free spirits, unable to be tamed, but instead formed strong bonds with those they deemed worthy. As time passed, the descendants of those fey equines formed a symbiotic relationship with humans, providing them with transport and companionship, while gaining easy access to food and shelter. These bicorns may not be as wild and free spirited as their ancestors but make no mistake; these equines are not pushovers, nor will they do anything they don't want to.

Due to their fey ancestry, it is not uncommon to see all sorts of fantastical colors accenting otherwise average equine coat colors. Often times these vibrant colors will appear as small ascents such as hoof coloration, or tinting marking that are normally white, but on rare occasions the bicorns base coat will be affected by the unique coloration.

Rules:
1.Be kind and polite to everyone, I reserve the right to suspend or ban anyone if I feel it is needed (Bicorns owned by a banned user will be rehomed)
2.My signature must never he removed or altered
3.Your account must be at least 1 month old
4.You may not use any design that does not belong to you without permission
5.Bicorns may NOT be sold for pets or currency. They may be gifted or rehomed, but must be free
6.I reserve the right to change the rules as needed at any time
7. AI generated images are NOT welcome in competitions or in general. Forms found using AI images will be disqualified. AI is not welcome here
8. Forms with "TBD" anywhere are the form are considered to be incomplete forms and will not be accepted
9. Any art done for an adopt contest can not be revoked from the winner(yes you may make a color in of a different bicorn for yourself still, but you can not take entered art away from the winner[ie. You draw a headshot for an adopt, but don't win, the winner still gets to keep the art of the adopt, and you can make a color in for yourself, so now there are two versions of the art])

How do I adopt?
Well, there are two ways to go about adopting one of these beautiful equines. The first way would be through adopting a Wander that has been listed as up for adoption. These bicorns will have "Adopt me" on them and you can already see what they look like. You simply must follow the adoption instructions in the post for these Wanderers.

The second way is through blind adoptions. Blind adoptions are held in the round pen area. In the round pen potential adopters will fill out a form, then head to the round pen and wait to see if one of the bicorns chose them. Adopters do not know what their new companion will look like until a bicorn chooses them.

Staff Rules:
-2 Free common custom a month (must post at least 3 adopts that month)
-To stay an artist, you must post at least 1 adopt a month (please reach out if you can't for any reason, I am happy to work with you)
-Please take rarity into consideration (ie make more common adopt than uncommon or rare)

Vaelyrn: High Winded Song

Appearance: Long-bodied, sleek, with feathered wings and flowing manes that appear the most ethereal of all Draconic species known. They are the keepers of ancient knowledge, the first born, and intelligent, serving as oracles of change.

Dromkaar: The Forge-Blooded

Appearance: Powerful, quadrupedal dragons with armor like plating, and the fire of the earth in their veins. They were forged from stone itself by the Founder Khar-Duun in the Forges of the Earth. Steam and flame are their constant companions, and they are impervious to heat.

Saelvryn: The Tidebound

Appearance: Amphibious, long and serpentine, these wanderers of the deep often have bioluminescent features, the ability to see in the depths of the ocean, and are often said their calls warn of coming hurricanes. They are elegant, but the only known draconic species incapable of flight.

Theirok: The Verdant Wardens

Appearance: Tall, elegant dragons often with plant like features, antlered heads, and bark like armor, they are often mistaken for forest spirits. Some are so ancient they appear as great trees themselves, dormant, and a part of the forest.

Veltherin: The Stormwrought

Appearance: Long limbed, sleek dragons with veins seeming to be filled with lightning, they often feature crests or feathers, and embody impulse, freedom, and power. Often, they race lightning, seeming to flicker between dimensions.

Brief Overview:

Never before have humans walked within this world, for the dragons themselves created it. From the ashes of an unknown catastrophe, the world was reborn.

These dragons are not mere beasts, but instead, sentient, intelligent beings capable of craft, speech, and great knowledge. It is said their libraries are greater than any other being, and they store the knowledge of things long past. Divided into six factions across the continent, they are led by a variety of dragons…some good, some bad, and some who play both sides. Choose your faction wisely, for one day it might be in power, and the next, brought low.

All about little rats
They’re small rat-like horse creatures about 1 foot tall. They scamper, they scurry, they live in your walls. They have little rat teeth that they use to eat your insulation and bite your ankles.

How to get a little rat
You can adopt one from the Lil' Rats official team here or at Lil' Rats Minis, you can make your own lil rat on the MYO thread, or you can adopt one from a community member in a MYO Rattery (can be found under the MYO thread too).

What can I do with my rat?
Anything you want! You can make minor changes like eye colour or markings, you can change the height, name, gender, etc, to your liking. You can role-play them anywhere you like, add accessories (although official accessories will be available soon) and give them magic if needed.

Breedings?
 Not atm, maybe if they get more popular <3

Shape
Lil' rats are based on shetland ponies: short, stocky, with a bouncy and scampery gallop and penchant for mischief. But if you want to characterise your rat in a different way then you can! This is just a starting point x

Artist apps?
If you wanna be an artist just let me know when you submit your custom! You can use your custom as an artist entry to show off your skills. I don't know how many artists I'll take on board atm so I guess I'll close this when we have enough.
We have a full team of 4 artists at the moment! So artist apps are closed until we get a vacancy or expand the operation <3 Thank you so much for being interested though!!

For official customs, you can buy them from any of the Lil Rats artists.

You can buy a MYO custom from any MYO community artist you like. Each artist sets their own rules and prices.

Ownership Transfers
You can trade, buy, and sell your lil' rats.
All ownership transfers take place on the rat's adoption page. The seller must post first, linking to the profile of the buyer, and the buyer must post afterwards to confirm. You can use this template:

Offsite Ownership Transfers

When you are sure that all the receipts are in order, please show those receipts on the rat's adoption page and prove the ownership changes since the last CS user in your purchase confirmation post. If you can't do this for whatever reason, you shouldn't buy the rat!

CAN PEOPLE PLEASE REFRAIN FROM ASKING ME IF I WILL BE ACCEPTING NEW ARTISTS ON THESE. Several people have in-boxed me asking and my answer is no, I imagine I won't ever be even looking to get another artist on board as these are going to be fairly limited to start with and will see how far I can go with them. They will, however be making an appearance on DA at some point.

Basically they are a mythical type of equine. They can summon storms but only under certain situations. This will be brought into ore detail when I re-write this. For now I am simply giving you all a rough idea.

Species Information.

Their scientific name is Elementalis Tempestas Texentes Equitum, converting to Elemental Storm Weaving Horse.

Basically they are a mythical type of equine. They can summon elemental storms but only under certain situations. This will be brought into ore detail when I re-write this. For now I am simply giving you all a rough idea.

They are a finely built breed.. Not too dis-similar to the Akhal-Teke (I've spelled that wrong, I am aware, I'm half asleep and will sort this when I re-write) in shape, though a slightly more rounded rib cage and a fairly small delicate head. Their tail is very high set and they never let their tail drop right down.

These creatures are very rare, so there won't be many of these made. I have yet to decide on how many there will be, and because of this, the adoption methods are going to be tough. (I'm going to be picky when judging a new owner).

Average height of these creatures is usually around 18hh, they are very tall equines. Also, their average age is estimated to be 5,000 Years, though no-one really knows.

They can mate with other equine species, but their foals are born powerless, if at all, there is a foal born that is, as it is even rarer for these beasts to conceive with another species. For example, the main stallion of this species, pictured above, mated successfully with a mare of mine that AmigoGirl designed a while back for me, to create this little beauty below, although he is completely powerless...

(As you can tell I had a bit of fun doodling that haha!)

1. No editing the original form style. Keep it simple. It's easier to read.
2. You may only adopt ONE E.S.W. for the time being.
3. No breeding them yourself. If I decide to open breedings only permitted artists may do them.
4. Please don't beg to be an artist, IF I decide I want help, I will either run a little competition or ask people.
