This topic is only for creating custom Fables. Please do not use these lines without having the appropriate tickets or writing/art prepared!
These lines are not for personal use, practice, or making adopts. Do not use them to make another editable or distribute the lines elsewhere.
All designs will need to be approved before being real.
MYO Approval Thread
- ✦ How to get one?
- ✦To create a MYO Fable you will need at least one 🎟️ ticket! These are awarded during some adopt competitions and sometimes as lore prompt prizes. They are tracked in the archive.
✦ Tickets can be saved up and combined to add custom traits to your MYO.
- 1 ticket = all template traits (no custom)
2 tickets = 1 custom trait
4 tickets = 2 custom traits
6 tickets = 3 custom traits
8 tickets = 4 custom traits
10 tickets = 5 custom traits
And so on.
What if I don't have tickets?
✦ Once per calendar month, you may waive required tickets by instead writing lore (or making art) about the character at a rate of 250 words per ticket. You can also use a mix of tickets & lore.
✦ The lore/art should be about the design, but can feature other characters; you can write about anything or use past lore prompts.
✦ The lore/art should not be directly reused from previous adopt competitions or prompts, but you can reuse character ideas.
✦ There is not an exact art equivalent, but a lined fullbody is ~250 words. Adding color, shading, background, animation, extra characters, etc count for extra words. All template traits (no custom) = 250 words
1 custom trait = 500 words
2 custom traits = 1000 words
3 custom traits = 1500 words
4 custom traits = 2000 words
5 custom traits = 2500 words
And so on.
*Some leniency with the higher word count ones; if you’re already writing like 2k words for it, I will not count smaller extra traits.
- ✦ Creating a MYO
- Accessories, jewelry, scars, tattoos
- Broken horns, missing traits, prosthetics
- Small edits and additions such as bangs
- Sparkles, minor glow and small magical/elemental effects, iridescence, etc (halos larger than a small ring or star are custom)
- Stylistic or expression changes
- Template traits like wings or horns placed elsewhere on the body (such as ankle/head wings)
- Adding custom sections (such as a mane or ponytail) to a template base or trait
- Significantly edited or unrecognizable template trait combinations; any combination that would take an artist more than basic sizing/rotation/erasing to recreate
- ✦ You can create your own MYO or commission someone else to make it for you. Please note that existing fables can't be traded for art which includes trading an fable as payment for a MYO design. You can do a design trade (as in two people make MYO designs for each other).
✦ You can do many things with the template traits! Feel free to resize and rotate traits, or play around with mismatched or doubled traits like horns, wings, and ears.
✦ It's fine to combine bases/tail/etc (for example, adding the kirin scales layer or the tempest mane to another base); 2-3 traits together maximum, please. However, if the trait combination is significantly edited and/or would be difficult for an artist to recreate, it will still count as custom, even if it's all still technically original trait lines.
✦ Things like these might be listed as extra traits, but do not count towards the amount of tickets needed and can be freely added:
✦ Please don't post your design unless you are ready to fill out the approval form soon after! Keep this in mind if commissioning someone too.
✦ The image posted under the MYO topic is the official reference. If you are collaborating with someone, you will need to get your version moved to be directly under the MYO topic.
- ✦ Tips
- ✦ Masking: many of the traits overlap and might need tweaks to have the traits fit cleanly together, especially on bases with manes or long fur. I think the best way to deal with this is to apply a layer mask to the group and mask out those parts. Masks are also a good way to mess with transparency and make non-destructive edits!
✦ Clipping: clipping layers to the base color allows you to easily separate or change the colors of any markings without changing your base coat. You might see already that some of the bases have clipped layers to separate the mane color from the base/etc.
✦ Organization & saving: with the amount of layers, it can take forever to save. You can delete the extra folders and traits you don’t need and it will save much faster (and will be easier to navigate).
✦ If you need any help, don't hesitate to ask the discord server!
