Why are they desired?

legend has it, their coat has the ability to calm even the rowdiest of kits. if a kit rests their head upon their fur, the kit is calmed. often a kit or kits resting their heads upon their fur will fall asleep and not wake for a few hours.

Laux is sought after due to this wives tale, passed onto to mothers and fathers alike. some kits will seek out Laux of their own accord, possibly to prove their parents wrong. Laux does not stay in one place long, and can be found roaming with a herd of sheep.

Stained glass windows often present tales of grandeur, those of something greater. Those depicted within the panes are often heralded as figures akin to gods, beloved by many and as a goal strived to become the same as. Figures that many want to see themselves as.
On the other side of the coin, there are voices that outcry the upholding of these "prestigious" figures, proclaiming that beholding depicted figures to such a standard will only result in pressure that kills. That holding someone to such a high degree is selfish. Making a concept tangible in such a way was always deemed foolish.
Midas is desired, not because he wants to be.

The earth shook and trembled. Rock shifted from side to side as buildings began to collapse, and the clan's borders were moving on their own. A frightening sight for all the cats as they struggled to find shelter away from whatever beast was attacking their home. DustyEye was ready however. Letting his weight become one with the earth and giving in a heavy breath to hold his ground. He was going to protect this clan from everything. Show no fear.

Dusty isn't afraid of much, if anything to be honest. Some say he's the bravest member of the clan, but to be brave you need to be scared first. It was only an earthquake, a small one. All the members, excluding a few warriors, were in the dens, and under cover. The earthquake was the least of their worries however.

The sound of rushing water. DustyEye shivered, but held his ground. Even more so, he launched outwards toward the sound of water. The flow became stronger and stronger, and the warrior's eyes shook harder and harder. With heavy breathing he shook the ground with his paws, and growled at the coming waves. The rushing water did not stop. It flowed violently towards him, and swallowed the cat, along with his home. DustyEye's true fear is water, flowing destructive amounts of water. He can't swim, and he can't fight anything while in the water.

Honeytree was born around the same time as Sorrelstar had her kit. Because of her responsibilities, Sorrelstar was only able to stay in the nursery for a moon before returning to her duties. Because of that, Jaykit stayed with Honeykit (also a single kit) and her mother. Honeykit was very frail and shy, but Jaypaw was very loud, and abrasive. As they grew up together, Jay would bully Honeykit/paw because he would get away with it easier. He was the leader's kit after all, he had privileges, and would threaten to complain to his mother about her. Honeytree grew up very insecure because of this and was very scared of him.
Even as apprentices, their relationship just grew worse. Jay was training to be a warrior, and so was Honeypaw. They often trained together, showing Honeypaw little to no mercy. Their mentors didn't think much of it, he hid it well. One day however, he snapped. While their mentors were out hunting, they were told to mock fight until they got back. Jaypaw took this opportunity, and decided to take his anger out on her.
He pinned her down to the ground clawing at her sides. She cried out in pain, but he covered her mouth.
"It isn't fair! You get to have a loving mother, a normal kithood. And you rub it in my face! Being all smug, you make me sick." he hissed. He moved his paw to let her respond. Gasping for air, she says "What do you mean!? It was always you that looked at me weird, and distanced yourself from your mother." He growled, and lunged for her, but just before making contact, their mentors came through the bushes, saving Honeypaw and pinning Jaypaw down.
"What are you doing? It's supposed to be a mock fight you flea-bag!" the deupty said. Jaypaw grunted.
Honeypaw's mentor rushed her back to camp to have her wounds treated, while Jaypaw got a stern talking to from his mentor, the deputy, and his mother. When he came out, he looked shook, like he had seen a ghost. He then flexed his claws in anger and ran to the apprentices den.
Honeypaw, confused and tired, fell asleep, having vivid dreams all night.
The next day at sunhigh, Sorrelstar called for a clan meeting. All cats gathered beneath the gnarled roots, waiting for their leader to speak.
"It is with a heavy heart, that I must announce something. I sure you must all know of yesterday's incident. Well, Jaypaw here is going to be given proper punishment. He will be doing the dirty work for 2 moons, like changing all bedding, helping gather herbs, and caring for sick cats. After that, he will no longer train to be warrior. He has shown that he doesn't deserve that honor. He will instead train to be a medicine cat, and to control his impulsive actions, and hopefully become a better cat because of it. Any warrior that turns on his own is no warrior."
The clan, all staring at Jay, stayed silent. "You may leave." said Sorrelstar, and then the clan dispersed.
Jaypaw, scowling to himself walked to the medicine den, tail dragging along the ground. Honeypaw watched as he entered the medicine den, upset.
Honeypaw continued with her training after a day of rest, and Jaypaw began his grueling tasks. They often crossed paths in camp, Honeypaw always finding a way to avoid him though.
Over the moons once they both were promoted to their warrior and medicine cat ranks, they found themselves having to cooperate more than they thought. Honeytree assumed it was Sorrelstar testing her and her son to see if they could get along. Jay's Wing was the only medicine cat now, and he did need some help. The clan was fresh out of apprentices.
Despite the odds, they finished many tasks together, and have even chosen to settle their differences, and end the feud between them. There isn't 100% closure, but it's the most Honeytree can do. Jay's Wing is very busy afterall, he doesn't have much time for those who aren't sick or hurt.

She had kits shortly after being taken in and all but one of them were happy to remain fat and lazy within the twoleg's home, with Brightsplash being the total outlier. Even as a kit she snuck out of open doors whenever possible, begged her mother for stories of the outside world, even resented the she-cat for cuddling up with twolegs when there was so much more on the other side of the wall. The two got into spits as Brightsplash grew older and more and more passionate about her plans to escape until one night, during one of their fights, her mother opened the door for her and the last sentiment that was exchanged between them was a disappointed, "just go."

To this day, Brightsplash misses her mother terribly, aches to go back and make things right, but her love for her freedom and her guilt for how she'd acted when she was younger keeps her at bay - she's sure her mother wouldn't forgive her, or that she'd stop her from returning to the clan and it would only drive them further apart.
