Gene Combinations
Intro
If you're looking for particular combinations, I would recommend heading to the search bar, typing in "stars [coat descriptors]" (e.g. stars black carnelian point), ticking "first post of topics only", and browsing what pops up! I'd also recommend not looking at anything older then 6-12 months.

Artistic Tips:
When drawing tricky combinations, I recommend breaking the coat down into steps. For example, if I was tasked with drawing a "black golden charcoal braided mink lynxpoint" - I would break it down into each step. First, I'd probably sketch out the tabby markings I want (so black braided), and then modifying them to fit the "charcoal" descriptor (so adding that charcoal mask). From there, I'd turn the base coat golden and restrict the darkest golden to the "points" to get started on the minkpoint. Then, I would lower the opacity over the centre/neck areas of the tabby markings so they match up with the "points". And there you go - an example of how to easily break down and create the coat you have in mind!

Somatic, Chimerism, ETC
Intro
Somatic - sometimes called "mosaicism"
A somatic mutation causes a single allele in a genotype to mutate, causing a small patch of fur with a different genetic makeup to the rest of the cat. It cannot change more than one allele.
For example, if you have a black classic tabby, the somatic mutation could cause a patch which is either blue classic tabby, red classic tabby, black solid, or black mackerel tabby. The somatic mutation could not be blue solid, cream tabby, cinnamon solid, etc, as this would be changing two alleles.
For Stars, this combination cannot be a legal tortie combination, as this would nullify the purpose of the mythical edit.
