why; because he likes that the red goes well on him if he wears accessories, and he generally finds dark red colors appealing to his eyes! his father was particularly fond of it, so he was exposed to the color a lot. i wasn't sure if you meant both the song and the color here? But the song because it reminds me of his cutting edge personality and his will to make something of himself. He isn't willing to exit this world as nothing more than dust. He wants to be remembered
