There was a time when the world was younger. When the trees were the tallest thing we could see. Great beasts and storms roared over the land and we cowered before it all in wonder because we were so very small.
Of course, our small size hid our giant spirit and our vast future, times changed and we grew. We circled and mapped the world, we learned to fly and even, at times, to hold death itself at bay.
It would be a lie to say that no great challenges remain, and the stars do beckon. The changes that we have wrought are, in point of fact, likely for the better and should not be condemned out of hand. But as we stand here, masters for better or worse of our world, I look back to those days when giants still walked the land....and my heart aches because now we are the giants....and the world seems so small..

Viscet Name: Mononoke; meaning "Monster, Ghost, Spirit, or The spirit of a thing."
Viscet Gender: Female
Song that represents them: Into the woods- Cillia Jane
Whats with the lights in its tail and the light marbles in its horns?:
{I would really recommend listening to the song first before reading this, the song ties with the story. Please dont copy me ;-;}
Mononoke was born in the woods, under the weeping willow. Her mother had fled after her birth, for unknown reasons. How did she survive? Unknown figures took care of her from egg, to hatch-ling. After that, she grew up alone in the forest. Mononoke was never afraid of being alone, except for the fact that she always felt like she was being watched. That bothered her. It was a few months later before she discovered who her "parents were." Mononoke had discovered this from accidently hearing a squirrel talk. I know I know, it seems pretty ridiculous, but it actually happened. The apparently talkative squirrel had said,Goodmorning darling! Mononoke thought she was the squirrel queen or whatever, but after thinking for a while she made a hypothesis.It was the animals of the Black forest.
For some reason, they took care of her. Deer, birds, whatever you name were her family. It had bothered her at first, because she had so many unanswered questions, like, Wouldn't a bear eat me? How did they even feed me? She got so flustered once, she yelled at the forest for answers. Surprisingly voices answered back. "Whats wrong?" "Are you ok?" "What does she mean?"
She asked for answers when she yelled at the forest. "Am I going crazy?" She thought as many voices started muttering to eachother. She had been so terrified she managed to whisper; "Whats going on?" But once she had said that, the voices were gone in a hush. "Im going crazy for sure." She thought, and she glanced up quickly to notice an owl perched on a branch. It tilted its head at her 360 degrees, and stared at her unblinkingly. Mononoke managed to gaze back, before noticing a small glass item in its talons. She narrowed her eyes at the glass, before the owl raised its wings and dropped it in front of her. It had flown away so quickly, all she could do was stare in awe as it's shadow shrunk into the distance. But her attention quickly dropped off that as she stared at the 2 small glass items. As she studied it closer, she noticed there was a faint word written at the bottom of the item. "Waizu." It meant wise, that was for sure, but what could it possibly mean? The two glass things looked like lanterns, but why? Nudging the lanterns with a nose, she watched as they rolled over like any other thing should. Picking up the lanterns with her jaw, she carefully tied them to her horns. It was the only safe place she could keep it, and she could probably find out more about it. Glancing around, she quickly trotted deeper into the forest. She didn't feel insane anymore, she just felt curious.
It was a while of walking before she found a fox. Now the find was unexpected, and she stumbled backwards. Apparently the fox had held the same items as the owl did, and she watched as the fox placed it down onto the ground before bolting away. Crawling slowly towards the lantern, she sniffed it, turning it around with her nose. On the bottom, another word was written. Ninchi-do. The word meant "awareness." Letting out a snort, she picked it up and applied it onto her horn. The more she collected, the more answers she would get. Walking onward, her mind swam with questions. Why did creatures have items? Her mind got lost with thoughts until she realized she had broken through a clearing. Mononoke was slightly confused. Sunlight streamed onto the grass, and she crept closer to the middle of the clearing. A deer. A doe was standing there, watching her with wisdom seeming to stream through her eyes. 2 larger lanterns were connected to her neck, and Mononoke watched with breath talking awe. "Come here, Mononoke." The deer said, her voice breaking the awkward silence. Mononoke stared with wide eyes as her legs seemed to move forward, and soon she was facing the deer, almost nose to nose. "Mononoke. Do you know why you can speak to us?" She asked, her eyes staring into hers. "N-no." She whispered, her eyes still falling into hers. "You can speak aearon, a long forgotten language." The doe smiled, then dipped her head to let the lanterns to fall onto the soft grass. "The lanterns will guide your way through your life. Wisdom, Awareness, and now freedom. Take care of them well, we will always watch you." She puffed, before her outline slightly faded. "A-Are you a ghost?!" Mononoke asked, her eyes widened in fear. "No, we are spirits... Dont be scared, we are your family." Her voice seemed to get softer and softer until it disappeared completely. "Wait!" Mononoke called out, but it was too late. The doe was gone, but all that was left was the lantern. Facing the lantern, she picked it up with her jaws before gently putting it over her tail. Mononoke was much more curious that month, and from that day on, she never felt afraid.
