[What is it?]
Glad you asked! The Stub Shop (previously called the Ongoing Referrals Comp) is an alternate option for users to purchase items that would otherwise require some sort of currency, such as points or C$.

[Rules]✦ You may not pay, bribe, blackmail, request in a pm/trade, bother, or otherwise unfairly coax users to mark the thread referring you. Keep all advertisements in harmless places such as your signature, trade rules, or personal threads, with no rewards. Users are supposed to mark the thread because they want to, not because they're paid or felt obligated to. Note that sending advertisements to people such as this is also against the site rules, and you can be reported.
[In Trade Rules]
✦ Only put advertisements in places that they are permitted, including the correct forums and threads. Do not spam threads with advertisements.
✦ Keep advertisements, if any, respectful. Do not post them in blaring, annoying red text or in any other way that might seem spammy, harassment, or just plain annoying.
✦ A single user cannot refer multiple people, refer themselves, refer me, nor change who they refer. If a user comments multiple times attempting to refer different people, I will silently only record the very first person they referred.
✦ If you have already marked the the thread but did not leave a referral, you may re-comment with a referral.
✦ Do not make multiple accounts to try and Refer yourself. Having multiple accounts for purposes such as these is also against the Site rules and could get you banned.
✦ Any repeated breaking of these rules can result in a partial ban from this thread and its services.✦ Ads in Trade Rules must be at the bottom of the rules and must be significantly smaller than the rest of the trade rules. This means that, while you can put an ad in your trade rules, the ad cannot be larger, more significant, or otherwise take the focus away from the rest of the rules; it must be a subordinate section, not the primary focus.
✦ The ad cannot in any way imply that a user must refer you before trading, even if it's expressly optional. This includes saying things like "before you trade", etc.
✦ If you bump a thread with a quote of your trade rules, remove the ad from the quote.
✦ All of the above are subject to observation.

*RU Trade-Ins and Special Mentions were implemented 4/3/2016. Users cannot cash in RUs or Special Mentions made before this date.each
A Referral is when a user comments on the main thread listing another user as the one who referred them to the species. This is a way to get other people to know about the species. Note that if you pm, bribe, harass, or otherwise coax users to mark the main thread to give you a referral, it will not be recorded and you may lose rights to this shop; you can put ads in places like your siggy, etc.
✦ RU Trade-Ins - 2If a judge can't decide who wins a Viscet, they may choose to give someone a Runner Up--a similar Viscet so that both users are winners. If you win a Runner-Up, you may choose to never use it; instead, you may cash-in your RU and get Stubs instead. To do so, contact both Soulplosion and the artist who would originally be doing your RU so that they're aware.You cannot choose to "trade in" an RU for stubs after the RU is made, even if you don't want it.
✦ Special Mentions - 1 or 2Similar to an RU, if your form is exceptionally good in a competition, the artist may give your form a Special Mention. If you contact Soulsplosion with a link to where you got a Special Mention, you will receive 1-2 stubs. You must PM Soulsplosion to cash in a SM. You will not receive stubs by default.
If it's not mentioned (1 or 2), then you will get a default of 1 stub.
*You can only trade in Special Mentions in comps made by official artists. You cannot trade in special mentions in GA comps or re-adoptions of a pre-owned Viscet.
