Name: Aisling
Nickname(s): Ashy, Ash, Twinkle, Cupcake/Candy/Muffin Monster
Name Meaning: Aisling, in Irish, means 'dream' or 'vision'.
Aisling is an Irish language feminine given name meaning "dream" or "vision" and referring to an aisling, a poetic genre that developed during the late 17th and 18th century in Irish language genre poetry. Aisling was not used as a given name before the 20th century.
Variants of the name include Aishling, Aislin, Aislinn, Aislynn, Ashlin, Aisleyne, Ashleen, Ashling, Ashlyn, Ashlynne, Eislinn and Isleen. Ashlyn/Ashlynne is used most often in the United States. Pronunciation of the name also varies, with the most common pronunciation being /ˈæʃlɪŋ/ (ash-ling); other forms acceptable to Irish speakers are /ˈæʃlɪn/ (ash-lin) and /ˈæʃliːn/ (ash-leen). Others, such as /ˈeɪzlɪŋ/ (ayz-ling), /ˈæslɪŋ/ (ass-ling) and /ˈeɪslɪŋ/ (ayss-ling), do not follow the Gaelic pronunciation. Wikipedia
Why I chose the name for her/why I would name her that: Well, for some reason, Aisling, to me, just sounds like a name for a sort of dream-ish colour. But what colour is this dream-ish colour I'm talking about? I honestly don't know - you choose it. Everyone has their own 'style', 'creativity', and 'imagination'. So technically, for me, the dream-ish colour I'm noting is sort of in between the shades white-grey-black. And this little girl is just perfect for the name, it's seriously so hard to explain. In person, I would probably explain it better, but since it's text, and I'm only 50% (British) English, it's pretty hard (this is probably only my third time ever saying that I'm not fully British as a lot of people tend to judge me). Anyways, now, let's say, I'm looking at 'dream' as a thing. Not as a word. Not as a drawing. More like a 'doing' scene perhaps, if you know what I mean - as said a few sentences above, it's really hard for me to explain, I'm terribly sorry if you do not understand! OK, so yeah, what can I see at this 'dream' scene/thing? I see a world full of sadness, a world full of happiness. Sadness shows me these colours: white, grey, black, brown, any such shade or dark colour, not including dark green or dark blue etc. whilst happiness shows me nearly all of the other colours: blue, yellow, burgundy, cyan, any such colour. The world full of sadness is filled with fog and mist, dust and dirt, broken hearts and frozen lives. That represents her coat colour, but looks don't matter, do they? It's all about personality. So the world of happiness contains almost anything you could imagine, dreams (not dreams as in sleep, but dreams as in like... "I dream of becoming a world-known singer" etc.), happy faces, cheers and cries of joy. There's so much to that side, I can't list it all. I bet you are thinking, what represents the happy world? Her eyes. Her merry, innocent blue eyes. As for the other meaning of Aisling, well, I must say, this little darling puppy is a cute vision herself! Who wouldn't like to predict a heart-warming pommie pup in some sort of vision or so? I definitely would wish for a such thing.
Age & D.o.B: Three and a half, 27th December 2008
Why I would like to adopt/own her as my first Pommie + what I would do with her: I would be very honored to have this beautiful dreamer as my very first Pommie. I have always adored your smooth art style when I see it when I visit the Oekaki forums, and once I strolled upon the Pommie Palace in a friend's posts (I was bored! Haha), I just had to visit. Dogs are possibly my third-fourth favourite pet(s), and small fluffy breeds like pommies just make me jump with adorableness. My family are dog-people, and we have three dogs ourselves; an Old English Sheepdog, Great Dane and a Corgi. I've always wanted a Pomeranian ever since my aunty adopted one when I was little, they're just so cute. Who could resist their cuteness? Definitely not me! Anyways, back to the main point, I would totally spoil this girl 'til the end - wait, there is NO end, is there? There's never an end with characters when I get them. It's as if the character is real, whether it's realistic or not, a real species or not. It's as if I actually have a bond with the character, like it would actually be a pet of mine. If I get Aisling, I truly promise to spoil her as much as I can. I've only got a few characters, as I'm not a big character collector, I take it slowly, so that each and every one of my characters gets treated fairly. I feel guilty for pixels, haha! But this girl, it's a big yes-yes. I'll be with her 24/7. If I had to, I would use my true date Dice PPS, which is in the first group in the Advent List, for the smallest, sketchiest, and messiest head piece (or even just her ear!) of her. I'd put her as my avatar, I'll put her in my signature, and since she really means a lot to me, as if she was a true dog of mine, she'll get her very own character thread. <3 I doubt this whole information pad will fit this all into one post. This girl has just truly catched my eye - I love her like no other. She'll be my all time favourite character, I'll buy her art 24/7, make art of her 24/7, and just do everything related to her 24/7! I'll even do a story about her. I love writing stories. I was planning to set up a thread for my stories which I will soon be writing, which will include my CS pets and characters. She will deffo be a super-star there. <3 Oh, and if any ever makes an RP especially just for these Pommies...PM me A.S.A.P! I would also like to point out - my form may not be neat or organised or anything because I'm not a specialist or a professional like others. But I've worked all day long and I'm willing to work another few hours into the night just to hopefully try my best for this girl. Never before have I worked so hard for a simple character...but she's unique in my eyes and heart. I am stunned at myself! <3
Likes: Aisling absolutely loves sweet things - especially candy, cupcakes, and of course, muffins! She has a big habit of stuffing her face in sweet stuff. The lil' girl also absolutely LOVES pink, as you can notice by looking at her accessories and furniture section. But her favourite thing? PINK sweet things. She goes crazy and absolutely mad at that point. Other than that, she also loves playing out in the garden, in the warm sunshine, as well as traveling comfortably in a car/coach. The pooch also loves fruit such as blackberries and watermelon. Another thing she adores doing is rolling in things like bed covers, curtains, anything soft and silky. Or smooth, for that matter. Absolutely not forgetting the last two things, she loves being combed and doing different sports like agility etc.
Dislikes: Bugs - even the beautiful ones, like butterflies; she has a fear of bugs and hates them all. Like most sweet girls, who hate black, Aisling is different for once and actually doesn't - it's her fourth favourite colour. Her least favourite colour is maroon though, and she doesn't mind seeing/meeting other pups/dogs who have different likes or hobbies or have a different style. She doesn't judge others, but hates being judged herself by dogs in the park, just because she doesn't judge others or be rude to others (confusing, I know!).
Strengths: Dreaming (she day dreams a lot generally too), never giving up/letting someone down, acting (such as acting cute, etc.), & more~
Weaknesses: Being/walking(etc.) slow(ly), reading long detailed words/etc., dealing with the biggest dog breeds, & more~
Personality: Aisling is a posh little princess, though however, she isn't the type of pooch that wants everything her way. She's like the "good" girl. She treats others and her owner (me, as for now) fairly with respect, sharing time equally with everyone. She isn't a stylish little pup, as she dislikes wearing dresses and such things, but from time to time, she will do something if she has to, just to make that dog/person happy. She is a very caring, sweet and helpful pom, she takes a shine to everyone on the spot straight away, whoever they are, whatever they are. Ashy also never lets anyone or anything down, she would never let that happen, and as said above, this girl never gives up. She just goes forth and does it; she follows her dreams like never before, or as some say, like there's no tomorrow. She follows almost every command given - she and her owner have a special bond, so they interact with each other in different ways (for example, if something is wrong or she wants her owner to follow her, she jumps up and down, nodding and shaking her head. Or if she's sick, she keeps her tail down and waves her head about slowly). Not forgetting, she's very playful and gets excited just a bit too much, but becomes a lot calmer and more patient as she grows.
History: Aisling arrived in to the world on the twenty-seventh of December, in the year two-thousand and eight (2008), just a little over four P.M., with her three other siblings - Destiny, Drew, and Skye, in the middle of the country-side. Her mother (Hope) was more of a peach-cream colour, whilst her father, who did not live with the bundle, was a similar colour; yet some-how, Aisling and Destiny, had grey-brownish sort of coats, unlike Drew and Skye, who had peachy-white coats. But Ash had to be the rarest of the litter - she had no more white than apples in a average-sized fruit-bowl. So during their first two weeks of blindness, as puppies (compared to kittens and other newborns) have a usually bigger head than their body so it would be hard for them to move around, they snuggled up near their fluffy, soft, and warm mother, trusting her to keep them safe and healthy. Everyone who visited Hope's owner's house within the first two weeks cooed at the pups, and a lot of people dubbed Aisling specifically as "twinkle" - as in a miracle to be born with such a coat to such parents. But that was not the end of her shine; within the third week of their lives, eye-lids were flicking open, and bright eyes were shining with happiness. Aisling was the first to open her eyes, and her owner was shocked as well as surprised that she had a rare colour, though with all of her heart, she knew she had to give the puppies away for money soon enough. She had only just moved out of her parent's house, with a job at a farm-shop not far from her home, and she had to take care of herself as well as the dog (Hope) that her grand-mother left her before she passed away. So when it came to almost three-four months, the litter was springing around the house with joy, yapping and whining all over the place - their owner wasn't so pleased with the mess they made daily, but she was glad they were happy and lively. Though the next day after that, people started coming in - for the moment, she was only giving up Destiny, Drew, and Skye. Once they would be gone, she would privately look for the best home for Aisling, where she would be spoiled for the rest of her life, and cared for fairly - no wait, even more than fairly. So, as people started fought with prices over the fluffy pooches, Aisling watched in a corner, not knowing they would go away - she didn't even know what was coming for her soon as well. A lady had offered to pay quite a bunch for both Drew and Skye, who were best friends, and couldn't be dragged away from each other - plop. Off they went. The next day, a young girl, in her early teens perhaps, came to pick up Destiny - plop. Off she went. Now it was just Aisling left, or Twinkle as most called her. Her owner put up a sort-of private offer on a dog selling-and-buying site, saying she wanted only little money for her, but a lot of care for her. Once four people were interested, they came for a visit on separate weeks. She didn't like the first offer - the married couple were way too posh and didn't seem to know a thing about dogs. The second offer was a bit better, but still a no - the woman was too old and she didn't want Aisling to be passed around to a bunch of owners. The third offer? No - the family of five already had four dogs, and all four were Great Danes. She didn't want Aisling to feel small and cramped. But the fourth offer broke the scale - it was perfect. A normal house, a lady maybe just a year or two older than her, and she lived right next to the beach and a dog park. She seemed as if she was going to love her just the right way. Agreeing on the offer, Hope's owner told her every single detail about her, even saying her nickname was Twinkle, and she also gave the lady (Summer) her email, so that she could hear on Aisling about once a month perhaps. So off the little star went to her new home - sitting in the back of a silver jeep, window open, with her tongue stuck out. She never knew car-rides were so fun. As evening struck, the sun was setting quickly, and by now, Summer was home with her new beautiful companion, the miracle. The two were going to have more fun than they could both imagine. As they both hopped out of the car, the sound of the sea's high waves danced around them, with fresh air included. Aisling's eyes lit up as they entered the front yard, filled with flowers and plants. The fence was a normal white wood fence, and the house was almost all white, too, but with a bit of baby blue here and there. "
Welcome home, little beaut, Summer whispered faintly, whilst opening the door to reveal a warm house filled with beauty itself - and Aisling's furniture as well as accessories were already waiting. Summer closed the door and went off towards a shelf, as the Pomeranian yapped with joy and went off to experience her new things. "
I heard you like candy and cupcakes and other sweet things, hey?" her new owner mumbled as she returned with a cupcake/muffin-themed bow collar and a head bow, falling to her knees and waiting for the pooch to spring up on her lap. "
My little candy monster, you are, Summer delightfully added, stroking the soft, smooth pom's fur, before attaching the head bow to her little fluff of hair and placing the light bow collar around her neck.
You are going to love it here. We'll go out on long walks to the dog park, swim and mess around at the beach, enter lots of agility and obedience shows, you'll meet new frien...". Aisling listened carefully, wagging her tail with merriness, her tongue out, her eyes shimmering. She really
was going to love it here.
Accessories: Since she loves cupcakes and muffins, Aisling would be wearing a little hair bow (
example) and a bow collar (
example) that look exactly like
this on normal days. On special occasions, like Easter etc., she would be wearing
this hair-bow, and
this collar. And not forgetting her all-time
leash. Of course though, if I win/get her, I will spoil her with more accessories! This is just a starter. (Note: If I get her, once my java works, I will draw her accessories on Oekaki. ^_^)
Furniture(etc.): This is where Aisling's accessories would be kept - as much as I hate pink, I'm going to pretend I love it as it's Aisling's favourite colour.
This is where the princess sleeps, and
this is her out-door dog house. Aisling also has two same
food and water bowls, both of which contain her name.
T h e s e are a few of her favourite dog toys, more are to come. She also carries her favourite
plushie around with her everywhere. There are far more things she has, I will add them to her page/post on my character thread if I win her. <3 (Note: If I get her, once my java works, I will draw her accessories on Oekaki. ^_^)
Theme Song: Carly Rae Jepson & Owl City - Good Time The only good song I thought would fit her. I'm really bad with music, I'm not into it much, so I only know a few artists, please excuse me. ^^
Friends: Good Friend;
Nameless [Male], Close and Good Friend;
Bluebell [Female]. Of course she will gain more friends, both owned by me and by others! I am also planning to get another Pommie later on in the future, that is the exact opposite of Aisling, but they are still best friends no matter what, and like to call each other sisters.
Art: Sadly, my java isn't working, I tried my best to draw traditionally but I don't really know how this 'scanning' thing works. As for other programs, I don't know how to use them either. But soon, around mid-August to late-August, my java will be fixed and do you know what that means? LOAA! LOAA stands for...Lots Of Aisling Art!
Other: I know, it's a pretty long form, but I just love her so much, I will try my best. <3 Oh, and I am so terribly sorry if you cannot understand me. I am only half English, so it is really hard to explain such detailed things in text rather than in person or in my mind. I feel like I have made a fool out of myself...I'm truly sorry, I'm a little ashamed of myself. ^^" I also didn't have time to do a short story, I'm sorry. ^__^
Annnnnnnddddd....I'm done! <3 Good luck, I had a lot of fun doing this!
