GETTING STARTED


• To begin, please be sure to have a thread for storage, either on toyhouse, cs, or elsewhere
• Users may request one free founder to lead and begin their journey
• Even if you win an adopt/have a MYO, you still are allotted a founder
• Founders are permitted to have 3 common traits and up to 5 non rarity traits
• If you'd like a surprise, randomized founders are an option too! Be sure to state it in the form
• The description section is where you can describe the cat's coat (markings, dilutions, and base coat)

GUIDELINES


• CS rules always apply! Be kind to all members of the community. Staff are always here to help if any issues arise
  
  
• WfR has a randomizer here, and a tribe name generator here. Staff may use this for adopts and patrol encounters, users may use this for founders/myo ideas as well
  
  
• As of now, there is no cat limit. Though you may only request one founder
  
  
• Writers and artists of all skill levels and experience are welcome in this ARPG! Developing your cats via writing/art is encouraged and rewarded with weekly prizes. However it is a completely optional aspect of WfR
  
  
• Users are welcome to have a Clan/Tribe/Group/Colony and develop it as they please. Names may be traditional prefix/suffix, tribe names, etc. There is complete freedom when it comes to developing your WfR cats
  
  
• This is a closed species, do not make your own cat unless you have explicit permission or necessary items
  
  
• Cats may be gifted, traded or sold. Be sure to follow all CS rules regarding sales
  
  
• Theft and AI usage of any sort is not permitted within the species
  
  
• When filling out any forms, be sure that all information is complete and correct, otherwise it may not qualify
  
  
• Cats can identify as any gender, have any pronouns and any sexuality. WfR is based on semi-realism (with a little twist!) regarding genetics and our breeding system, and gender does not matter when breeding your cats

FAQ


• Q: Where can I set up my storage place?
  A: Storage places can be made offsite or onsite! Toyhouse/other websites, on cs using character storage, etc
  
  
• Q: How do I obtain cats?
  A: There’s a variety of ways you can do so! You may request a free founder, try out for adopts released by artists, patrol for the chance to encounter cats, and breed your existing cats to produce kits
  
  
• Q: Can I have more than one Clan/Tribe/Colony?
  A: Absolutely! Just remember you can only have one founder. Your clans/tribes/colonies can interact in any way you'd like to. The possibilities are endless
  
  
• Q: Can WfR cats exist in worlds with other species?
  A: Of course! They can co-exist with one another, be neighbors, etc. There are no limitations, other than the fact they cannot have offspring with felines from other species
  
  
• Q: What if I don’t quite connect with my founder? Or I don’t claim the founder?
  A: That’s okay! Your founder can be adopted back out to the community. You may not request a new founder, respecting the rule of one founder per user. Same goes for if your founder is not claimed, they will be adopted back out into the community after 30 days of being unclaimed
  
  
• Q: What are the three sets of lines on the main page for?
  A: What you see are the adult lines, apprentice lines, and kit lines. Kits grow 7 days from their posting date into apprentice. Additionally, apprentices grow 7 days from their posting date. In total, 14 days is the expected growth time for a kit to grow into a warrior
  
  
• Q: Are calicos only female? Can there be male calicos?
  A: Sex-linked traits, patterns and colors are nonexistent in WfR. So this means that male calicos are indeed possible and can breed as a normal cat would
  
  
• Q: What does MYO stand for?
  A: MYO stands for "make your own". A MYO item allows you to create your own WfR cat, or allows you to ask an artist to do so for you. You must have the corresponding ticket, for example, a cat with uncommon traits may be created/claimed only if you have an uncommon MYO ticket. A MYO ticket may also be used when claiming artist entries
