what are they afraid of?:
Novalie fears facing reality. She remembers when she was once happy in the overworld, flying alongside other agels overlooking the diabs that dwell on land. She felt accepted and loved whenever she was amongst other agels which is something that she never thought she would be able to feel when she was younger.

She loved being an agel more than anything to the point that she began to see agels as the superior race of goobies. She would often speak lowly of diabs calling them good for nothing arrogant goobies that should not have the same privileges that agels have. She always tries to cause trouble for diabs whenever she could.

One day however, both agels and diabs were fed up with her antics that were starting to go too far. Diabs were starting to get hurt and the peace between agels and diabs is being compromised all because of one goob. When both races were finally fed up with Novalie, the sky suddenly shifted color and a strong gust of wind blew. Slowly, Novalie's goo began to crystalize transforming her to a fallen agel.

She refused to accept harsh reality that now she is no longer one with the other agels. No matter how hard she tried to return, she was casted out by the other agels. Due to her ego and bad reputation amongst diabs, she refused to live with diabs. They also would not accept her anyways which is how she ended up in the underworld.

For the longest time, she thought that fallen agels and crystalized goo was nothing more than a myth. She did not know that there was anything lower than being a diab.

She did not understand what she did to get banished and for her goo to crystalize even when everyone around her fully understands what she did to deserve the banishment.

To most goobies, it was obvious why she turned to a fallen agel however, Novalie was the only one who did not seem to understand. Whether or not the other fallen agels will take her in as one of their own is completely up to her and will depend on how she treats them. Will she learn to be more humble and accept that she is now a fallen agel or will her ego get the best of her and treat the other fallen the same way she treated diabs?

Now she has to learn to live as a fallen agel, something which she considers to be lower than low. Which is why she fears reality. She could not believe that this is now her life and she must learn to be one with those she used to oppress.
