Prompt: [Word count: 1120] [Pokemon used: Daidaiiro]

This was Geosenge town. His trainer had been excited to visit Kalos, so it was the first region besides Galar that he and Rylanie were set to explore. The town already had a mysterious air with large stones from ages past surrounding it. Usually, the town was still and silent as if holding its breath anticipating for something to awaken out of the silent stones.

However, today was different! The inhabitants of Geosenge town had prepared an incredible Halloween festival with plenty to do, experience, and see. Daidaiiro wandered amidst the crowd. It had grown quite dark as it was a night of a new moon, but he still followed the people out towards the forest. He had separated from his trainer in all the disarray, but he wasn't concerned. No, he was dazzled by the spectacular display of blue lights that shone from up ahead. He didn't have a clue where they were coming from, but it reminded him of the stadium lights from his hometown, Motostoke in Galar. In his nostalgic mood, he gazed up expectantly watching what he imagined was a show the people of the town had prepared for their guests. In his mind, it seemed that the ancient ruins were finally showcasing their rumored, mysterious power.

Unfortunately, an ear-piercing screech and the sudden filling of red smoke alerted the onlookers of something far more sinister and dire. Screams joined the foreign Pokémon's screeches. A wave of people began to turn but then plop to the ground in droves.

People around him gasped, "Their life is being sapped away! It must be Yveltal!"

"Arceus forbid. It sort of looks like a Darkrai though."

Daidaiiro's heart leapt to his throat as he peered around for his trainer. She had no one to protect her! Was her life being sapped away too? With no trace of her, he feared that she was one of the people that had fallen. He had no choice but to push onward seeking his trainer and confronting the evil-spirited creature. With a powerful kick, he began dashing forward ready to face his doom. In his sprint, he tried to fire up his body preparing to harness a tremendous amount of force and energy. Suddenly, he was jolted backwards by a sudden grabbing of his ears. Panicked, he kicked and struggled against the invader until he recognized his own trainer. He squeaked in relief then confusion. She let him go.

"Daidaiiro! Where are you going? Are you insane? You can't fight that thing! You're just level three! You're a baby!" exclaimed Rylanie, his trainer. He pouted frustrated that she was hindering him, but he realized that she was right about him having no chance to face the beast head on. Still! He couldn't just do nothing. Maybe he could sneak attack it? He turned to the trees and grinned as he hatched his plan. Rylanie caught the glance and read the situation immeadietly. "Oh, no! You're not attacking him and that's final," she snapped.

The Scorbunny's ears flopped as he looked at her deflated. The disappointed look pierced her heart. His trainer's voice and expression softened. She got on her knees and gave her Pokémon a soothing pet. "I'm sorry, Daidaiiro. I know you want to help, but we can't be brash about this. Brashness isn't bravery. If you blindly just run up the monster without any sense of strategy or planning, then what's the point when you get knocked out instantly? You've helped no one. Bravery is doing the right thing even if we wouldn't prefer to do things that way. There is always a way to help. I'm going to run to get the gym leaders and alert them of this attack. You can tend to the fallen. You're fast, Daidaiiro. You can pick them up and carry them to the Pokémon center. When you do that, others like you will follow." She stood up flinching as she heard another screech. It was time to go. She asked one last thing, "Ready?" The Scorbunny nodded.

They parted ways running. He hopped into action carefully picking up bug and bird Pokémon while doing his best to avoid getting his own life sapped. On the first trip to the Pokémon center, he was given a cart to roll people and Pokémon on to make his trips easier. Other nurses and doctors followed him. He led them to the site, and they quickly started lifting people and rolling them away. Due to Daidaiiro's poor stamina, he had trouble keeping up after a few round trips. Thankfully, Rylanie was right. Many were following suit and picking up people and their Pokémon.

"This one can't be moved," mumbled a nurse. She peered around locking eyes with the watching Scorbunny. She called out to him, "You! Ask a nurse to bring some medicine and berries." He nodded then dashed off exerting himself. At least, he wasn't burdened by extra weight this time. After picking up the acquired medicine, he managed to return with what the nurse needed. "That's good. Thank you, little one," she remarked appreciatively before applying herself to her patient.

Daidaiiro stayed by the nurse's side catching his breath and wondering where his dear trainer had gone. All of a sudden, he watched a yellow blur dash by with two Lucarios at the woman's heels. He watched with his mouth ajar watching the blonde ponytail whip around in the wind as the lady exclaimed, "Time for Lady Korrina's big appearance! Let's see how you stand up to my ultra-powerful Lucario duo!" She had other pokeballs in her hands clearly expecting to have to bring out her whole team to face this legendary fusion. With the entrance of the city's gym leader, many others joined in bringing their Pokémon to quell the disaster. Daidaiiro plopped to the ground sitting and clearly enthralled by the ensuing battle.

Rylanie rushed up to Daidaiiro scooping him up and smiling as she panted. "Got someone," she chuckled then noticed the pout on her Scorbunny's face. "Hey," she started softly looking him in the eye. She could tell he was feeling envious of Korrina's Pokémon, who not only were a gym leader's Pokémon but were fighting the great legendary. It was Daidaiiro's dream. She tried to encourage him, "You did well. One day, we will be strong enough to join them. It's not like disasters will cease forever, you know? You'll get your chance. I promise you, Daidaiiro."

Daidaiiro beamed back at his trainer and squeaked back happily. She held up some Halloween themed macaroons that she bought while Daidaiiro had wondered away from her earlier. He lit up and took one munching on it. They then both watched the fight together.

Reva, the tempest, does not often step down from her throne at the mountain's peak. Worshipped though she is by the people who live in the village beneath her, it is not her responsibility to quell their storms -- not when she is the one who causes them. But this storm... this storm is new. Hers are born of great grey clouds and the feeling of electricity barking through the stagnant air, rain, flood, and bellowing winds. Hers die as rapidly as they are born, tragic little welcomings. This one began like a rift in the sky she could see from miles away which grew, cracked open, almost seemed to leak with poisonous red light bathing down upon her people like blood and so Reva descended, fur crackling, mane billowing, the Earth thumping like thunder with every hoof step. People part ways for her when she passes, back away into their homes, grasping their children firmly by the wrists to reel them back.

And Reva...

Reva comes here.

The great beast that crawls from the broken sky-egg twists its head to look down at the herd it has gathered, other Pokemon her size and smaller, little things that step back and hide behind her legs as she moves through the crowd of creatures to stand up front beside the others her size, whose eyes she meets when she turns her head to look at them. Some of the little ones step forwards, too. Brave, she thinks, and moves to let them take pride of place. Braver than most she knows. She would stand alongside them in the throes of battle. Her head tilts. The great best flaps its wings and roars, the energy it propels almost sending her flying backwards until she digs her hooves firmly into the soil, leans forwards, ears pinned back, electricity sparking from her horn.

"What is that?" She asks, to nobody in particular, and hears a chorus of murmuring respond.

"I don't know." "Uh. God?" "I-I have no idea, what is that? What is it? Is it going to hurt us?" "Where did it come from?" "It's... it's a fusion." "Oh, good, so two Gods, then."

The murmurs descend into panic, and she -- along with the others whose bravery or stupidity outweighs their ability to feel fear -- steps forwards again, as the great beast descends, smoking with inky black energy, grumbling deep down in the back of its throat.

"You," it bellows, voice low, "who stand before me still. Know you no fear? Know you no sanctity? Those who remain on this hallowed ground will either walk out of it changed or not at all. This is no place for cowardice." As it speaks, its head inclines to watch the sudden movement as several of the gathered Pokemon rush away, ducking behind trees and mounds of dirt and stones. The rest of them stand firm, and the beast chuckles, landing hard on the ground. Soil and soot fly up around its talons, striking her in the face. She grimaces, and it speaks again, without its mouth moving. "Very well. I suppose that the rest of you shall make worthy challengers. How far will you go to defend your world?"

How far?

How far.

She would go far enough, she thinks. More than far enough. Far enough to stand here and stare down this beast, sparking, crackling, the air stinking of energy. Far enough to stop this thing. Reva rears up, neighs strong and loud and it sounds like a storm, kicks up the winds, electrifies the ground and all around her the others are united, some flying up and some burrowing down, small ones running forwards and grabbing onto Pokemon larger than them to get to the beast faster. She feels paws strike her back and talons cling to her billowing mane and she waits for half a second for them to secure themselves before she gallops forwards, the wind picking up and whipping at her face. Thump, thump, thump. Her hooves strike the ground like lightning and spark when they do, sticking her fur on edge and as the lightning builds up violently around her she picks up impossible speed, and as the battle begins to rage around her she crashes into the tail of the beast as it rises from the ground, flapping its wild wings to reach the skies. She feels the Pokemon attached to her let go to join the fray. The beast, screeching, is shocked by the electricity she carries with her, and though Reva tries to dig in to the ground she, too, is overwhelmed by the power of its great wingspan, the winds buffeting her and sending her skidding backwards, colliding into the front of a stronger, heavier Pokemon whose hands grab onto her to keep her from going too far. She whinnies, and steadies herself, turning to the side to get a firmer position as her temporary companion lets go. The great beast is too far for her to reach, now, grounded by her lack of wings. How strange, to live amongst the clouds but be unable to reach them when needed. As her eyes dart around for a way to reach the monstrosity, she notices it open its mouth. Her eyes get wide. From the back of its throat emits a screeching sound like the kickstart of a generator that powers the sky and the brightness that gathers behind the beast's teeth is almost blinding. Reva looks to her side, and sees that she is not the only one transfixed. A small one. Little, pink, fluffy one. Small Clefairy bravely facing down something bigger than her and Reva throws herself in front of that Clefairy just as the beam of red and blank energy strikes the ground, takes the hit herself, her skin burning like she's landed on hot coals and she smells the smoke as it traces a path across the ground, cuts through the crowd, hears them all stand firm, hears some of those who shouldn't be here fall down unconscious.

Reva turns her head as the beast charges up another beam.

The ghostly flame bears down upon them. A chorus of lightning shoots up to greet it, met by other beams of light and fire and water. In the sky, a great, smoky explosion.

This will be fun.

Prompt:

It was a feeling that Azeroth knew already. Except, this feeling was on a far worse scale. Trouble was coming and one thing was for certain, whatever was creating this feeling this time was a lot powerful than the being that Azeroth had encountered a few months prior. As Azeroth made a portal connecting the Distortion World to the Real World so that he may pass through, the feeling was enhanced even more. By Arceus, what was going to happen and what Pokemon was creating the immense amount of fear that was passing through the Giratina at that current moment in time.

As Giratina entered the Real World and changed forms, it was then that a most fearsome Pokemon had appeared in the sky, releasing a loud screech from it's maw that only caused Azeroth's fear to worsen. As the Giratina faced the Pokemon, his eyes widened. It was a cross between two fearsome Pokemon, and Giratina was able to distinguish them plain as day. One half of the Pokemon was the Legendary, Yveltal, the Destruction Pokemon. While the other half was clearly Darkrai, the Nightmare Pokemon. Both two Pokemon that were not only feared by people and Pokemon alike, but both in which were dangerous, and if not stopped, would bring destruction to not only the place in which it would appeared, but the rest of the world.

It was up to Azeroth to put an end to the fused Legendary that flew before him. So without another thought in mind, Azeroth let out a screech himself and pushed off into the air with a single flap of his wings. Azeroth flew at the fusion, attack ready, planning to catch it off guard by running directly into it then firing his attack, but the fusion had other plans. Just as Azeroth was about to collide with the beast, it attacked Azeroth by using Dark Void, one of Darkrai's famous moves. It collided with Azeroth. The Giratina didn't get another second to act, as sleep overcame him quickly.

-

Trainers across the area were already aware of the presence of the Pokemon that appeared within the red smoke in the sky. They were already on their way to the Pokemon with their strongest Pokemon ready. Some were there for the first raid battle, where they fought alongside the mighty Giratina to bring down an angry Lugia with it's eyes set on destruction. Now the trainers knew that it was very unlikely to fight alongside a Legendary such as Giratina again, and their Pokemon did too. So they were more than prepared this time, all because of the memory of last time.

As the trainers drew near, they heard a loud crash, which also caused the ground to shake like an earthquake of sorts. It almost knocked them and their Pokemon to their feet. As the quake passed through, they all stopped for a minute to make sure their Pokemon and each other were okay before continuing on.

"What do you suppose caused that?" One trainer had asked.

"I bet it just knocked out a few trees using one of it's moves. I wouldn't worry about it." Another trainer had replied.

That was enough explanation for the group for the moment. They continued on in silence.

-

When the trainers and their Pokemon arrived, they stopped dead in their tracks, looking ahead of them in shock. Before their eyes was the Giratina that had aided them in their first ever raid battle. He was a dirtied mess, and there were trees all around them knocked down and uprooted. The ground below the Giratina had looked to have been dug up as well, but that was only because Giratina had crashed into the dirt and skidded across it after he fell asleep.

The trainers watched as Giratina twitched and moved in it's sleep, as if something was bothering it. It was then that they looked up and saw the same Pokemon that had caused Giratina to be in such a position. Collectively, the group gasped and looked to one another, before calling their Pokemon's names and having those Pokemon step up in front of them.

"Giratina is our friend." One trainer cried out at the fused Legendary that flew above them, prepared to face and take down all of the trainers and their Pokemon that stood at battle-ready below it. "We won't let you take him down and get away with it. Let's take it down guys!" The trainer called out, rallying his friends and all of the Pokemon.

-

It was a task that proved to be easier said than done. Each Pokemon fought to the best of their ability, but without the aid of Giratina and the fused Legendary being one that was so strong, it seemed impossible to beat. At times, it felt like the trainers didn't even make a dent in it's health.

In the midst of the battle, one trainer had even left without word. No one knew where they went. Only that they had lost a person, which made it an even more difficult task to take the fused Legendary down.

"I'm back. Sorry I ran off on you guys." The trainer had mumbled when he returned to the group. "I didn't think we were going anywhere alone, so I got help." A small smile appeared on the trainer's face as he gestured to the help he had gotten. Another gasp collectively came across the group as they all saw a Suicune running full sprint toward Giratina, gracefully jumping in front of it.

"You found one of the Legendary beasts?"

A small laugh overcame the trainer and he nodded. "Well, Suicune is an old friend of my families. We visit him from time to time. I figured that this was emergency enough to warrant a visit. We seemed to be getting our butts kicked! Not that we're weak or anything. But this is a force that we haven't dealt with before. I mean two Legendary Pokemon fused together? That's like a final boss battle right there! All of us are still training in some way."

The group nodded their heads in understanding and murmured. They all looked at the trainer that had brought Suicune to the battle. The trainer slowly approached Suicune, but made sure to keep his distance. "Alright, we're going to have to work together on this one. You and I should be able to do this together."

Suicune barked back at the trainer in agreement, but never once took his eyes off the fused Legendary.

"Alright Suicune, use Hydro Pump now!" The trainer called.

Without hesitation, Suicune followed the commands of it's friends, bouncing off the trees in order to gain some air, and firing the blast of water in the direction of it's foe.

It's foe screeched as it was pushed back.

"Quick Suicune, don't wait for it to get up. Use Ice Fang!"

Suicune barked again as he sprinted at his foe, digging his fangs into his opponent and holding on for a few seconds before releasing and moving back. His foe stood there, frozen. A grin appeared on Suicune's face as he looked back at his friend.

"It's almost over Suicune. Use Hydro Pump once more!" The trainer called again. Suicune obeyed, shooting another strong blast of water in his opponents direction, which was the final blow needed in order to take it down.

Quickly, the trainer ran through the crowd and threw a Pokeball at the fusion before all of them, and watched the Pokeball shake three times, making a noise on the third shake that symbolized the capture of the legendary. The trainer let out a sigh of relief, looking at Suicune. "We couldn't have done it without you pal."

Suicune nodded his head and then made his way over to Giratina who was just now beginning to wake up. The Legendary was still groggy, but he knew that by being awake, it was all over.

"Thank you for holding it until we got here Giratina. We really appreciate it." All the trainers smiled at Giratina and slowly approached him, placing a hand on him as a thank you. Giratina simply nodded his head.

Thank Arceus the trainer's knew what to do this time. Even if they still needed to call on another Legendary for help. [1,385]

Code: Select all
A dark flame flickered in the distance as dark translucent wings engulfed the skies a dark glow emanating and crumbling anything that fell within it's touch. Leaves peeled off of trees, the grass withered away, flowers curled into ash as great blue eyes swept the landscape. There was confusion and rage in those eyes, why was it here why was it awake and hurting, as it writhed crashing into mountains and trees leaving crumbled nothingness in it's wake. Over watching the creature was a dark creature, undefined but hungry being feeding off of the destruction and the pain of what had awoken. Almost opposite to that in a sense was a flame flickering in the crags of a mountain of a mon who had started their return home. An emboar watched the destruction with a pained face, where were the protectors who were supposed to stop this kind of thing, they were supposed to protect people and they weren't doing anything. A metal plated hand gripped her shoulder as she was flanked by Aggraligatr, and she relayed her confusion at why this was allowed to continue without someone intervening. Aggraligatr did their best to ease their friend's distress, but they both came to this quiet understanding that if someone else wouldn't stand up to fight they would.

On the other side of the valley a grizzled blaziken was near ready to take the head off of the battle hardened Typhlosion, they were cowering doing absolutely nothing to stop the darkness at their gates. The typhlosion hadn't been unseated, there was no one who had dared speak up to the one who could commune with the stone. With the monstrous legendary bearing down on them, and no savior coming forth from the stone that supposedly watched over them there was intense doubt that came over the pokemon who'd managed to escape. The typhlosion roared back the the old fire buzzard growling and beginning to walk them backwards towards a ledge and the rampaging death bird. Red and purple flickered at the edge of their vision, another typhlosion named Vesuvius, stepped forwards and between their father and the old mentor. They pointed out that Blaziken was still one of the strongest fighters they had, they were one of the only few beings that could maybe stand a chance against the dark legend barreling down their doorstep. The thing that was destroying their homes was the bigger threat and there would be no petty squabbling or infighting until they were sure they'd have a place to be fighting over. There were rumbles of agreement from the gathered survivors but the protectors that were left remained near motionless, they were unwilling to risk their lives for this. Some of them lobbied to just run away and go start over somewhere else, leave the angry pokemon to tear everything open here and move across the world to go do something else.

The things that had been carefully built in this isolation was falling away, being peeled back for everyone to suddenly see and the tension was mounting. There was a meek question asked, about how the protectors could dare abandon them like this when they had sworn to watch over them. The questions exploded into arguments about how the protectors had never been there to protect them, how they were only there to keep people trapped in, and how they had never meant to hurt anyone. Vesuvius did their best to try and cut through the yelling, and rally the pokemon left to go protect their homes. It made very little impact on the raging noise that filled the chamber and they could feel the presence of their mother as they stepped into their shadow.

"You have the right idea darling, just be a little louder", she said red eyes flashing from Vesuvius' own shadow as a ghostly smiled looked back at them.

Purple flame curled through the chamber as the fiery collar flared to a blaze, they repeated their request with a booming even voice with the stipulation that they would deal with the cowards when they got back. Silence fell over the chamber but there was an agreement that was made, and the rag tag group of a few protectors but mostly farmers and workers set out into the valley to track the winged death. Only to be met with the flabbergasting sight of an Emboar and a hybrid mon of some form barely holding themselves together as they tangled with the monster destroying the valley. There was a thrill that ran through the group at someone actually managing to hurt the nightmare bird. Blaziken shot forward instinctively flocking to the side of the mon that they had mentored for so long, full of this sense of pride at how far Emboar had come. The rest of the pack slammed into the great legendary pokemon as they wailed on them with everything they had, a rapid flash of fire, rock, light. Every move the had at their disposal was blasted into the great bird desperately trying to cut it's destruction short, but the monstrous mess of yvetal and darkrai had it's own moves too. It was not a difficult feat to one shot the untrained workers, and there was a desperation to pull those who fell unconscious away from the fight as it continued to rage.

Though eventually as ferocious as the legendary bird was, there was something the residents of the area had that did eventually overwhelm them. Sheer numbers and a few choice blows from the most powerful among them and the great beast was finally rendered unconscious, and those that were still standing crumpled to the ground in exhaustion. There was absolutely no concept of what they would even do with the legendary pokemon they'd managed to take down, but they'd done something together and from the victory they would rebuild something better than what was left to them. There was a small reunion in the wake of everything, a younger upstart Emboar finally coming home and proving themselves to their mentor.

Prompt:

Darkness and Light have always been great enemies. Although originally the two magics were one, they ended up dividing and becoming enemies. From then on, most people began to fear the Shadow, especially seeing powers as destructive as those of Darkrai or Yveltal. Inevitably, the arrival of such a merger made many people shiver. Many wanted to get rid of her, forgetting that without Shadow, Light cannot exist.

Esprit walked closer to the portal. As the strong negative aura of the legendary pokemon in front of her was felt, fear seized the body of the one who offered the emotion to the world. The pokemon in front of him was huge in comparison, and Esprit felt like a bug in a huge garden. She was shaking a little, and wanted to look away from the beast. However, this gesture seemed impossible to her, and tears suddenly began to flow down her cheeks, when she understood the truth about the creature...
Seeing her cry, her brother Volonty came forward and put a paw on her shoulder, for support.
"You know, you don't have to fight if you're scared. It's not a bad thing » Volonty told him
"It's not that," replied Esprit, "It's something else... And that something else is from him, not from me..."
" What ? Is there a problem? You know, if it's just because it's a fusion, it's not rare at all in our time anymore... There are a lot of them, even among the legendaries..."
"I know, but it's still not that I... I think he doesn't want to... Yes that's it... He's the one who doesn't want to fight..."
" What ? Yet the others are preparing to attack him…”
“I don't know, I only feel fear in him… No desire to fight… I think there is a terrible misunderstanding… Certainly it's a fusion between nightmares and destruction, but I believe that he is simply looking for a friend… The others are about to make a terrible mistake… They must be stopped, this pokemon does not deserve all this evil…”
"So go talk to him?" And will talk to others? »
"But I'm tiny compared to him, he won't even hear me... And for the others, I'm much too shy and insignificant to interest them..."
“Hmm…”
Volonty thinks for a long time before speaking again.
"In that case, I'm not sure what we could do, other than stop the battle... Or at least try to stop it or prevent it from starting..."
"But even there, no one will listen to us!" »
"So let's outsmart all those crazy pokemon and weird catch trainers... We're legendary psychic pokemon, we're perfectly capable of creating illusions." »
" Good idea ! Thank you my brother ! »
“Hehe, no worries”

While the duo were preparing their illusions, Zera stepped forward a little further. The Zeraora was very stressed and anxious. Such a fusion was as powerful as it was inhuman. Mixing Darkrai with Yveltal!? Darkrai single-handedly was able to plunge people into an eternal nightmare, and Yveltal to take the lives of those he disliked, so bringing this fused beast, through a raid portal, was like bringing any what god of the Underworld, on our Earth.
Feeling something inside her, Zera raised her left hand which she stared at. Was she… shaking…? Yes, Zera was shaking and afraid, even though she had learned not to feel fear anymore. The most courageous, valiant and fearless warrior of the Order of Arceus, was beginning to feel fear, after years of not feeling it. With her right hand, she rubbed her cheeks, and felt something wet: in addition to being afraid, the Zeraora was crying, which shocked her very much. She was crying, as she remembered her boyfriend's disappearance due to Darkrai, and she feared that this merger would do much worse. But if she couldn't stop Darkrai alone, how could a Darkrai X Yveltal fusion be stopped!? There seemed to be no other way out for Zera than falling KO'd, or even worse, falling into a KO from which no one ever wakes up, but whatever... Taken by a sudden determination, she clenched her fist, despite that he was still shaking a little.
“For Aroma… And for our son…” she thought to herself, before advancing so quickly towards the raid, that she seemed to have teleported there.

Zera's right front paw charged with electricity as she moved. Then, having charged her Thunder Punch attack, she was about to strike fusion, when she heard a scream and a voice calling her name.
"No Zera, don't do that!" »
Zera growled. She recognized that voice, as it was Esprit, the Mesprit who was also a member of the Order of Arceus, of which Zera had been a member since her youth. She sighed with a groan and turned around.
“So what do you want Esprit ? Zera asked.
“Just telling you the truth. He is not like our enemies. He doesn't want to fight, he's just scared..."
" Fear !? Him !? Did you feel his aura for saying that!? It is as dark as a moonless night, and as agonizing as a night full of nightmares... Even our Darkrai does not have such an aura..."
“I know, but please trust me. I am the goddess of emotions, I know what I'm doing..."
Although she didn't like it, Zera sighed.
"Well, what's the plan?" »
“You just have to stop people from fighting. That, Volonty and I, we take care of it with our illusions. For the rest, we need you to lead the fusion to safety. You're good at it, I think you'll get there. »
Zera was fearful.
“…But if he attacks me…? »
“He won't. In any case, not on purpose. Trust me, okay? »
Esprit was so convincing that Zera agreed. Thus Esprit and Volonty deceived the visitors with their illusions into believing that the legendary fusion was fleeing to another destination, while Zera led the fusion to safety, in an opposite destination. Let's hope she doesn't regret it later...

I've heard weird rumours around recently, about spectral wings that bring destruction and chaos. They also say that death lies beneath those wings. I'm honestly not sure what to believe but I've seen others talking every so often. Then again I have partial ghost-typing so these rumours are rather meaningless. Rather interested in investigating these rumours though, I have to know if there's going to be any truth in them.

There'd been talk recently, of others going to investigate where this winged avatar of death and destruction had been seen. I had to wonder if following other curious souls would lead me to the truth about the strange goings on. Now, all it would take was finding some of the interested parties in order to follow them. It wouldn't be hard, there were loud after all, plus some of the groups were rather large in size.

It was far too easy to blend into a group of 10 or so other Pokemon, none of whom seemed to know the others. They didn't even bat an eye when I slipped in beside them, even drawing me into the conversations that would pop up as we walked. They seemed rather nice to be honest and I quite enjoyed my time with them. We seemed to arrive at our destination in no time at all and at first, it seemed rather tame. Perhaps without the gathered pokemon, it would be a nice quiet place to gather one's thoughts.

Something in the air seemed to change in a matter of moments and a hush spread over the area. A chill wind kicked up and some of those closest to me began to tremble as an eerie presence loomed from the north. Something was coming and there was no way of telling what it was going to do. My eyes snapped to the treeline right as the something I'd felt soared into the air.

Yveltal? No, it wasn't just Yvetal in the air there, there was something else mixed with it.

"By Arceus, it's a fusion" I breathed. We were facing a fusion, Yveltal and Darkrai. "Of all the things you could have been, you had to be those two combined" I cursed the day that had been created. No wonder others had been saying death lay beneath those wings, it's been said for a very long time that Yveltal steals life force. Darkrai is notably less dangerous by far but it felt like the Yveltal part was dominating by far. This was going to be a ferocious battle, perhaps the most challenging battle any of us gathered had ever possibly faced.

The screech it emitted split the air and I watched as it flew across the area, casting a shadow with those great wings. Either we fought it enough to either drive it off or let the Darkrai side take over. I am honestly unsure as to why I felt like it would work that way, it doesn't with me, and hasn't ever. Despite my own nature as a fusion of Galarian Rapidash and Hisiuan Zoroark. Though I suppose my nature is easy enough and has been my entire life.

Even with all this, I believed it to be the best choice to fight my fellow fusion. So I readied myself and launched a Dazzling Gleam at the Yevatai as it flew overhead. The attack hit right at the joint between the misty wing and solid body. Other pokemon began throwing their own attacks at the fusion, even some of the smallest members of the gathering joining in.

"Those of you with Electric, Fairy, Ice, Rock, or fighting-type moves you'll do the most damage to our foe!" I called out to those closest to my position, flexing my limbs and readying for another attack. A moonblast this time was my attack of choice, it hit the fusion's body this time. Alongside an icy attack of some sort, I wasn't quite sure exactly what it was. The Yevatai wasn't showing any signs of slowing down yet, so we'd have to keep hitting it and hitting it until something worked.

An enraged scream filled the air and a blast of dark energy hit a small group, leaving others to get the affected parties out of the way. It was horrible but none of them seemed too hurt beyond being knocked out or teetering on the brink of collapse. Their injuries only seemed to inspire others to fight even harder against the Yevatai. Though it was probably even angrier than when the battle first started. A nearby Glaceon called out as it began to prepare. Eyes widened and the message began to ripple and others who knew the same started as well. While others began preparing to defend.

The message of incoming blizzards began to ripple through the crowd, it wasn't long before those preparing unleashed their icy gales all at once. The fusion was far beyond furious at this point and I was beginning to get just that little bit nervous about the battle. Though the ongoing blizzards seemed to be doing something at least.

"Keep hitting it, we have to bring it down or drive it away!" I called out, throwing another attack of my own into the fray. "Those of you that are tiring retreat into the trees and rest, we can't have you collapsing and getting hurt!" Was my next call out.

This battle was wearing many of the participants down, even the Yevetai seemed to be tiring at the rate we were all going. Though it was difficult to tell exactly if it was actually tiring or just getting bored or something along those lines. The blizzard was actually beginning to affect me and ice didn't even do much against ghost or fairy typing. I flicked my mane out of my face with one white paw, wincing as my claws caught on a tangle.

With a sigh, I drew myself up and prepared to unleash the most powerful attack I knew and had yet to ever actually throw out. I wasn't even sure I could pull it off.

"If you're preparing something you need to do it now!" A small Skitty with a kinked tail yelled as he threw a swift at the Yevatai. I smiled slightly and began charging Light of Ruin, it was the most powerful fairy type attack I'd ever heard of. I managed to throw it out right as the Yevatai flew overhead, the glowing pink orb of energy slammed right into the underside of the fusions jaw. It went down with a single cry, cut off shortly as it lost consciousness

Port stared at the horrendous fusion, it's scream sending chills down his spine. He'd heard the rumors but had no idea how truly terrifying such a creature would actually be. His eyes scanned the crowd surrounding him, numerous pokemon trembling with fear and a few pushing forward to join the strongest adventurers at the front line. The bird glanced backwards at Sunie, Memo, Terra, and Ezra. Sunie and Memo already seemed to be corralling the most scared pokemon backwards toward the buildings of town. Terra seemed unsure of what to do, desperate confusion and a little terror shining brightly in the night. Ezra, on the other hand, seemed fired up for the fight. Sparks jumped off the ends of her fur as she stepped forward to guard the group.

Port turned back and caught a glimpse of a bright yellow rockruff fusion letting out a loud cry, throwing electrically charged shards into the air with a strong kick. He gasped as he realized there were others joining in- a familar cyndaquil mareep fusion hurling a ball of fire into the sky, electricity sparking around the large beast in the sky from somewhere to the right, and sharp streams of air slamming into the monster from the left. Port nodded to himself, lifting off the ground and heading to the front lines as well. The least he could do was help the efforts.

Port, Fenris, and Cherri -- though not familiar with one another-- found themselves fighting side by side. Cherri kept kicking up shard of rock from the ground, throwing them into the air and sending an electric shock through the clusters, before yeeting them with an impressive kick at the fusion. Fenris skillfully threw fireball after fireball at the legendary fusion, ducking and curving his attacks as to only hit the beast in question. Port flew in closer, sending slices of concentrated wind toward the foe as well.

Back at the behind of the crowd, Sunie almost had all the most scared Pokemon safely housed in the basement of one of the brick buildings. Ezra and Terra had been tossing attacks towards any debris or stray fire from the battle, keeping everyone safe. Memo, on the other paw, had transformed into a sturdy four-legged pokemon and was forming walls using some sort of ground type move to protect some of the Pokemon who chose to fight in the battle. Sunie called out, her voice somehow drifting over the sounds of the fight,"Ezra, Terra, go ahead! I'l stay beck and make sure everyone is safe!!" Ezra hardly even nodded, jumping up and gliding to the front line. Terra, on the other paw, met Sunie's eyes and hesitated. They need me, she thought, swallowing her fear and turning back around to race toward the fight.

When the three, Terra Ezra and Memo, joined the front line- the looming fusion let out an angry cry and let loose a strong beam of psycic magic. It aimed straight for Cherri, the rockruff ampharos fusion-- However, Memo managed to build a wall just in time. Cherri nodded in gratitude and jumped atop. Terra watched in amazement as the dog-like Pokemon hurled electro ball after electro ball at the beast.Ezra already seemed to be in the heat of battle before Terra could comprehend much more. The Yvetal Darkrai fusion seemed weakened, at least. Terra dug her paws into the ground, shooting the pokemon a Mean Look and began throwing a set of Swift, Thundershock, and Swift again at it.

After what seemed like ages, every Pokemon fighting as hard as they could - with minor injuries thanks to Memo's ground shields. Yveltal Darkrai finally began to ascend upwards, trying to escape the battle. It roared with anger as a number of electric types cast thunderbolt, a strong shock vibrating through the air and sticking everyone's fur on end. Port, however, wanted to make sure he was leaving for good. The small Starly began a baragge of attacks -- Aerial Ace, Whirlwind, and Double Team. The sky quickly filled with copies of the bird and a number of other flying types who copied his lead. The Yvetal Darkrai fusion let loose a powerful spray of attacks before vanishing in thin air-- nothing but fog left in the space it once occupied. As all the Pokemon slowly relaxed, Port felt his consciousness slip away and he fell to the ground with a thud.

Slowly, very slowly, he awoke. Strange dreams plagued him for days, swirling him in and out of deep slumber. There had been a meriade of tents pitched to help tend to the wounded and those afflicted with the same dream-stasis as Port. He blinked away crusties from the edge of his vision, looking around at those around him. It seemed almost everyone was alright, if not just a little shaken up. His wings left heavy and tired, and he drifted off to sleep once again.

The following few days, Sunie and Terra helped the town to rebuild what had been disturbed. Memo looked after all the sleeping pokemon. Ezra had joined a group of rescue Pokemon on their journey through the forest to help wild Pokemon who had fallen ill to the magic of Darkrai's nightmare powers. Cherri had stuck around, joining Terra on her rounds to help locals reestablish a normal routine. Zeida, Volkner, and Crowe all left as soon as possible-- they couldn't risk being involved in another fight like that. Fenris had been injured but not afflicted with the sleeping curse, so he healed rather quickly. A number of outside teams joined the last days of the Festival, helping the injured groups and locals keep buisness booming. Rumors of a wandering crystal pokemon swirled deep within the town's gossip- she'd apparently been seen casting a dazzling spell that was slowing healing the group who suffered the troubling nightmares. Sunie tried to hunt down this pokemon, but with no luck. She wrote a journal entry about each rumor, sending it off to another Mail Room center not too far from Wandermere hoping for answers.

Eventually, Port awoke too. Galatic Starboard, as he proclaimed the group to be called, left soon after. He found it difficult to explain the dreams, but he was able to confirm the rumors about a pink crystal Pokemon saving him admits the foggy terror of everything.

Had some writing in progress but I’m bad at keeping up motivation for writing so this is only the beginning Of the story.
Code: Select all
 ” Battle of the great”

Alysun twisted and turned the paper in front of her nose. The great? Sounds overwhelming. Who was she to call herself great? Sure, she was strong, but no way she’d go down in history as great. Frankly, she probably would be remembered as annoying, because she was. She could see it in their faces when she suggested a training session, or tried to rile them up with a little prank. Her children never seemed to appreciate trying to get stronger, so what was the point anymore? She never thought being a mother would be as tiring as it seems to be. She guessed that’s what Aria feels like then. But then again, her child is an angel in comparison to Alysun’s two daughters. She flopped down on the ground, blowing at the paper, making it fly a few feet in front of her.

“Mom? What’s this?”

Ash poked the paper, picked it up and read it. “The great”? She looked over the paper, stared for a while at the sketchy drawing in the corner. Was that…? Was that a legendary? Is that “the great”? She wasn’t old, there’s no way she could decipher all this. She grabbed the paper with her teeth and ran out of the room. Amy had to help her in this.

When she arrived in their den, Amy was still sleeping sound, flopped with her belly up and snoring loudly

Basically they get tricked and end up almost getting hurt because of this big legend before Alysun snaps out of her dumb-induced coma and saves them.
