one, two... three!

a small thud resounded through the quiet clearing. a freshly caught vole was sure to lift spirits back at the twoleg den. if she could find some sticks on her way back as well, she may be able to lessen someone else's workload as well. with everything going on, she was certain everyone was in need of a moment of rest.

nothing. no paw prints, no scent trail, no leaves crushed underpaw. where could he have gone?

meadowshine had volunteered to search for signs of birchmist's whereabouts after hana had mentioned him missing. now, though, she was beginning to regret it.

the afternoon light had begun to fade as a fresh storm rolled in, the rumbling thunder and glaring lightning announcing its arrival. meadowshine had turned back not too long ago at the first signs of the storm. she certainly didn't want to get stuck in the downpour.

Art/Blurb 2: nightfall walked through the forest. the smell of ash has long since faded and so had birchmist. the campers had been asked to try to find any signs of missing birchmist, so nightfall was more than happy to look around. it was getting late, and nightfall had no luck with finding any clues. so, he turned to a different option. maybe, if i yell for birchmist, then maybe he can hear me.

“birchmist! birchmist, where are you? come on, just follow my voice, birchmist!” nightfall called out for the missing tom. then, he decided that some other questions could do. “did a dark forest cat or even a bear take you, birchmist? yell if yes, or say nothing if no! you hear that, birchmist! on the count of three, yowl, okay? one, two three, go. . .”

Spiderbite wasn't particularly in a hiking mood today - which felt odd to say, considering how she'd liked it so much up until the fire.

Spiderbite felt her fur prickle with apprehension - something that had been happening more often than she was comfortable with recently.

Was he okay? Had the cat, or creature, or whatever the stars it was gotten to him?

She pressed her claws into the soft, slightly charred soil, tail twitching slightly. She hadn't seen him at all on her walk - hopefully some other cat had. Or at the very least, he'd left on his own will...

Another day, another hunt. He had to pick up the slack for some of the less fortunate or skilled cats in camp anyways! HAH! So many- well. Okay most of them actually had some skills. A lot of skills. One or two he even really looked up to,. not that he would ever say that out loud though! No way! Ahem... back to hunting.

Oh he would keep an eye out alright, he still wanted to kick that tom's tail! Alas, he was not sure at this point if he would even be allowed to. Still that guy was having all the fun, all the adventures... leaving them behind to fend for themselves! RUDE! Well then, he would just have to find him before the others did right? He had not found any clues yet but... that would not stop him from looking. Maybe the looking would give him entertainment anyways.

Leaning into Hawksbeard's feathers, Lion broke into a grin. "Are you cats CRAZY? Is this really a discussion? We are not scaring them away!" he creased his brow. "What, a buffet walks nonchalantly into our cabin and we just... not eat them?"

"C'mon, they're just some bunnies and mice." He traps a mouse by its tail under his claw, eyeing it curiously. Nothing abnormal about it, bland and brown. Not diseased, as far as he could tell.
