"Momma! Momma! Tell us another story!" Two colorpoint kittens chirped, biting at their mother's ears and pawing at her soft, milk-scented fur.

The large queen chuckled and purred, nuzzling her kittens each in turn. "Okay darlings, how about I tell you the story of The Cow and The Mouse?"

Sweetkit purred in excitement, meowing her approval, but her sister, Pinekit, stuck her tongue out in disgust. "We hear that story all the time. Let's listen to something else!"

"No! I want to hear it. It's my favorite!" Sweetkit meowed, glaring at her sister with her tongue sticking out. The two she-kits tumbled around together, yelping and chuckling as they played, fighting over the story they heard.

"Darlings, you must have forgotten the point of the story. If the mouse and the cow can not share and decide something together, they'll both surely face a horrible fate. Why don't you two agree on something and do it together? When two things join together as a team, they're stronger than any cat alone. Remember that."

There's a vision that ebbs on the back of his mind, his favourite story not one heard, but told. He doesn't quite know how it goes, but he knows the theme, he gathers the young of the clan and he weaves a story as best he can to tell of how things came to be. Not how the universe came to be, but how something simpler and ancient occurred.
Most kits found his rambling uninteresting but as he speaks his piece the memories become clearer, more vivid. A past life wrapped up in a fairy tale. As he gains experience he gains confidence in his words, in his legends, in his memory.

He weaves these strange stories with more confidence, teaching stories of moral importance from a history long since forgotten. His favourite? The seer who vowed their life to the morals of StarClan only to turn their head when the stars needed their faith most of all. He talks about the consequences of those actions and that faith shouldn't be blind but trusting and honest. It's a warning of following your leaders blindly and promising allegiance where there is none. [191]

But Palekit wouldn't have it. Scrunching her nose, she sat down firmly, staring into her mother's eyes. "I want to hear more! Please?"
Her mother smiled.
"You know, you remind me alot of the hero of this tale," Her mother purred. "Right down to what you look like."

"Well - the brave warrior decided after long, hard days of adventure and perilous quests, that he'd settle down with a she-cat who lived in a village. She was plain, yet the warrior loved her anyways. She became pregnant with his child, and - and, they -"

Her mother took in a deep breath. "And the family and their daughter lived happily ever after."
Palekit smiled. "What was the hero's name?"
"Paleskip."
"Oh! Like me." Palekit grinned.
"Yes," her mother replied, looking into her daughter's familiar gleaming blue eyes, "He was just like you."
"One day, I'll be a warrior. I'll be like him!"
"I hope so," her mother purred, taking her daughter closely into her chest.

“Have you heard of the moose and the deer? We enter our tale in a forest where a boxing match took place. The deer politely asked the moose to move, his antlers were too big to see past. And the moose looked down, the deer ate their grass but was too small to provide protection, he could watch somewhere else. But neither of them wanted to move “Well if i’m so small and weak, i challenge you to a duel!” the deer announced. they fought until long after the match was over, hours turned into days and days turned into weeks, the deer was smart and the moose was strong. They were equals. They both froze at a howl, and when they looked up they realized that wolves surrounded them. For you see while they were fighting the rest of the herd had moved on without them, if they had just talked it out they’d be fine.
