The First Battle After He Was Born, He Got Out Of Camp And Nearly Got Squished By Warriors! After That, He Was Terrified Of Going Into Battle! "Good luck on your patrol, dad!" Stormkit stared up at his father in adoration. He wanted to be a strong warrior, just like him. He had to! The warrior's eyes shone with pride as he looked down at his son, touching his nose against the smaller cat's in thanks. "See you when you get back!"

But that was the last Stormkit would see of his father. The rogues had gotten too strong, coming into TreeClan territory, taking prey and killing cats on border patrols without reason. Stormkit's father was only one of many that lost their lives in the battle, the old leader of the clan included.

Stormkit knew he had his mother, but he couldn't help but feel there was a hole inside of him. Gone with his father, a piece that needed revenge. He had to show those outsiders who was boss. He knew he would.

"Rahh! We're gonna get you, outsiders!" Stormkit had his eyes locked on the tail of another warrior, readying the perfect pounce. He would get them, he would show them. Just like his parents had; even if it meant dying for his clan, like his parents. The outsiders must be chased away.

Hemlockstar felt the small cat pounce on his tail, growling as he grabbed the leader's fur in his mouth. Hemlockstar blinked once, exhaustion taking over in his brain as he stared down at the kit.

"Hemlockstar?" Stormkit squeaked around the leader's tail, still in his mouth. "We will chase them out and be safe, right?"

The newly appointed leader sighed, but he smiled lightly as he tugged his tail out of Stormkit's mouth, setting it gently on the kit's head instead. "Yes, Stormkit, with cats like you in our clan, I know we will."

"Stormkit, you have reached six moons of age. From this day forward, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Stormpaw. I will be your mentor. I hope to pass down what I know to you, and train you to be a brave warrior of the clan, just as your parents were."

Stormpaw stood stoically in the middle of camp as Hemlockstar came to touch his nose. He nodded in respect, though no smile reached his expression. Stormpaw wasn't sure he would smile for a long time, not after losing so much. He needed to get revenge first, to show the rogues who they were messing with.

Stormpaw wasn't a little kit anymore.

that was what constituted icekit's early memory. the feeling of warm fur enveloping him, the squirming body of his sister beside him, and the gentle voice of his mother. times were never more blissful and calm as then. when he was only a small kitten barely able to walk he felt all the love and warmth in the world. it was as if nothing could go wrong. however, times like that never lasts... and sooner or later something would change... but in the meantime, he enjoyed the carefree life and warmth.

the cold air that signaled leaf-bare's arrival blew across the land. icekit trodded along, following closely on his mother's heels. it was getting colder and colder, and the morning frost was still slick on the ground. icekit's mother was a rouge, and his father didn't know he and his sister even existed; therefore they were on their own. however, that never bothered icekit. he wanted to be brave and to show his mother that he was strong! he vowed to protect her and his sister through everything. even though he was still young, he had high ambitions.

"are you sure we should be out here icekit?" cherrykit asked, her eyes darting around uneasily as she watched her brother strut confidently out towards the frozen stream.
"of course! it's only a little stream, and we have to bring back some prey for mother!" icekit insisted, he was as confident as ever. however, he understood his sister's apprehension and approached her. "don't worry, we'll be fine. the ice is frozen over."
finally cherrykit gave into her brothers persistence and slowly followed onto the frozen stream. slowly the two of the walked over the ice bridge.
that's when he saw it. the perfect little mouse, just the right size for him to be able to catch. he flicked his tail to signal for his sister to get down.. but then he heard his mother's voice.
"what are you two doing?! get back here right now! the ice is not solid enough to support your weight!"
"no! i can do it!!! it's right there!!" with that exclamation icekit leapt towards the mouse. as he finally crashed down, he heard the ice crack and he went swirling into the water. was this the end?
as fate would have it icekit's destiny was not to die that day. rather he was saved by cinderstar and given a new life and a new home. although his recklessness and confidence nearly got him killed, he would never forget that day. the moment he lost his family.
