Prompt;;
Under the dark purple sky and the numerous stars in the sky, PeachPetal stood on a platform. It was a smooth, black slate platform, suspended in the air and big enough to fit a few other cats. PeachPetal carefully walked to one edge of the platform and took a look over the edge.

Beneath the platform sat swirling black water surrounding her from all sides, it must've been the ocean since it stretched out very far. She could hear the waves churning as short but moderate gusts of wind buffeted around her.

Username;; Thunder.Collects
Cat Name;; Muddyfreckle
Gender;; Female
Age;; 87 Moons
Clan;; CreekClan, link in sig
Rank;; Senior Warrior

Prompt;; (678 Words)
The night was rising, the stars filling the dark blue sky and a large milky moon was taking its place in the large canvas, rising as the blue slid over the territory sky. Cats were beginning to fall into their dens and collapse into their nests, exhausted after a long day of work in and outside of the camp. However, one was struggling to get herself to fall asleep. Her name is Muddyfreckle. The colorful she-cat wanted to fall asleep, she was exhausted after all, but she also didn't because of the nightmare that was surely waiting for her to crawl into its jaws. With a deep breath, Muddyfreckle closed her eyes and let herself drift away, fearful and wary for what was coming next. Would the dream come back?

She woke up in a large, cut down forest. All the trees were cut from their trunks, leaving rounded stumps all over. The rivers were covered in human-made dams, controlling the flow away from the CreekClan camp. Muddyfreckle let out a quiet sigh, her head lowering in defeat. It was the same dream she kept having. There were no signs of human activity recently in the clan territory except for the usual humans in Summer setting up their campsites nut ever since she started having this nightmare repeatedly she was on extra alertness and spent a lot of time watching the humans set up their evil contraptions.

Muddyfreckle turned, heading deeper into the forest, looking for her clan's camp. It was a little harder to navigate with all the destruction but she would make due. She padded towards the familiar engrave in the ground but what she saw horrified her. Dead cats, too many of them. Friends, family, rivals. All of CreekClan was here, in this pile. And among this pile, she saw one familiar pelt among them all, her.

She took a deep breath, beginning to panic. She wasn't on the pile last time she had this nightmare. What did it mean? Was she destined to die? She whipped around and raced off to the moor, hoping to escape on the winding territory that she loved so much. Her paws ached and her lungs screamed for air but she didn't stop, wanting to reach the comforting territory, but what she was met with horrified her beyond prepare.

The moorland was destroyed. There was nothing there. Instead, human houses were built on what used to be the moor and there was a long black winding road that leads into the forest. Tears were building up in the she-cat's eyes, she was horrified. Was this destined to happen to her home? Were they destined to lose it, just like how they lost their old one? 'I won't leave this time,' she promised herself, closing her eyes and taking another deep breath.

She closed her eyes and darted across the hard human path, returning to the forest. She wanted to see what else was happening to her clan's home. Was there any way she could stop this from happening? Muddyfreckle slowed to a trot when she felt cool soil underneath her paw, opening her eyes, but what she saw rooted her to the ground. A large human truck was rolling towards her and she couldn't move. She looked down at her paws but human ropes were tied around her body, holding her to the ground as she struggled, wanting to escape. This didn't feel like a nightmare anymore. This was different.

She struggled more, letting out wails of fear, hoping the human would stop to rescue her, but he didn't. The truck's lights glared down at her, blinding her as it came closer, and she gritted her teeth and flattened her ears in acceptance. This was the end. Just as the truck would crush her she woke up, panting heavily and fur bristling. What was she going to do? Should she talk to someone? Muddyfreckle got to her paws, approaching one of the only cats she trusted.

"Snowheart, we need to talk." She meowed, looking fearfully at the medicine cat.

Cat Name;; Hyacinthpaw
Gender;; Female
Age;; 10 moons
Clan;; Glacial Blizzard Clan (will go to Gladeclan once it can have medicine cats)
Rank;; apprentice (will be medicine cat once moved to Gladeclan)

Prompt;;
This nightmare was one that played in the mind of the young Hyacinthpaw for as long as she could remember; it came back to haunt her nearly every night, especially when she was already stressed out from the day. As an apprentice, life was stressful so most nights the dream would come back to haunt her.

Run!

Faster, faster....

Hyacinthpaw's heart pounded inside her chest as her paws scrambled across the uneven terrain below her, feeling the waves of fear crashing into her like tidal waves. As hard as she tried, she couldn't seem to get very far. When she looked around her, she realized why; suddenly she was only as big as an ant, running through the blades of grass on the ground as if they were trees in a thick forest.

Above her, voices boomed like thunder as they called out in search of her. No... she thought in terror as the paws landed all around her. Don't step on me!

Her breath caught in her throat as the paw of Rabbitsky landed with a thud right above her. Hyacinthpaw squeezed her eyes shut as she tried not to notice that she was stuck between the paw pads of her inspiration. Don't think about it and you'll be fine, she forced herself to think. Nothing bad will happen if you just don't think about it...

How wrong she was. The ground beneath her gave way and suddenly the young apprentice found herself falling. Wind rushed through her fur as the gravity pulled her downward faster and faster, making her feel less in control of her situation with every second that passed.

Cat Name;; Rosesong
Gender;; female
Age;; 26 moons
Clan;; waterclan
Rank;; warrior

Prompt;
A nightmare that this she-cat can't get out of her memory is of her old mate.
Oakpelt and Rosesong were mates from the time they were apprentices. They did
everything together, from training to eating. They were inseparable. Their mentors
had even became mates because they spent so much time together training the two
young felines. When they became warriors, they immediately tried to have kits but
that came with no luck. All three of the kits were still born and it broke their hearts.
Trying to get their hopes up, they had ventured out together across Waterclan's
territory when they were attacked by a twoleg dog. Oakpelt had tried to save his
mate's life, trying his best to hold the dog off so she could get back to camp for
help. The dog had a grip on the tom's back leg in his powerful jaws, throwing him
over into the fast moving river. Rosesong had jumped in after him, trying her best
to keep him above the angry water. The tom had hit his head against a large rock in
the water, causing him to go unresponsive in her jaws. The weight from the other
warrior was causing her to go under causing her to lose her grip on him. The last
time she saw her mate was protecting her and then being swept away from the
river, his blood flowing around her. Now, every time she closes her eyes or goes
near the river, the nightmare floods her thoughts causing her to go into shock.

The molly lifted her maw to taste the clear, forest air; its rich scents dancing on her tongue, just barely familiar. All at once her head reeled, a haze of dezaju seeping into her mind. She'd seen this field before, weaved through its trees with reckless abandon. But that couldn't be right. She was born of the bog, lived her life in murky waters. Here the trees grazed the sky; colours leaping from their branches. The word 'dreaming' settled in her mind, and she rolled it off her tongue tentatively. "Am I dreaming."

There came no reply, save for the light whistle of the breeze. She had never seen a forest untouched by the horrors of wildfire. She remembered that now. And as she trailed her gaze across the sea of green, her eyed grew sharp; a spark of realisation in their depths. Her vision rippled and shimered, as though she was watching the scenery from beneath a veil of water. As though her grasp on this world could slip away at any moment.

Pollux could only think to follow the loud gurgle of the river; trusting it would guide her towards some cusp of life. With each step a memory seemed to bathe her consciousness, washing over her in gentle waves. A kitten's laughter, a gentle voice, whispers just beyond her hearings reach. She moved forward through the undergrowth, barley concealing the rustle of leaves beneath her paws. The noise grew louder, now a constant din. A babbling brook, a familiar song, a whisper just near enough to tickle her ears. She let her eyes fall closed and a familiar face danced behind the shadows of her eyelids.

Toadflax. She recalled the name with ease; how could she ever have forgot it. Her sweet Toadflax. Even with eyes closed, her feet seemed to glide across the grass; tracking the path well-worn in his mind. Of course she knew this place, of course. The whispers in her ears flickered and crackled, warming her pelt. Warming her pawsteps until the air around her felt thick, and heavy. Her eyes snapped open to a billowing haze, rising through the tree-tops like smoke.

The next breath she took scorched her lungs, smacking her chest until she heaved and gagged. The haze darkened, black tendrils curling to the sky; shades of orange leaping at it's base. The whispers were clear now, a loud whirl in her head. Not whispers at all, the crackling of burning twigs. Her stomach flipped. "Toadflax?" She called, still choking on the air. Her pawsteps grew swift, frenzied. "Toadflax?!" A note of desperation slipped between her lips. The ground scorched her running paws. "Toadflax, where are you?"

She was answered by the roar of fire that leaped between the trees, lighting her path in reds and golds. She knew he was here, somewhere behind the blaze but the heat heat forced her back; unforgiving. It lapped at her fur hungrily, and she knew she had no choice but to turn away. It tore her heart in two, a pain the burned deeper than the flames. Toadflax was there, he was in there, just beyond her reach. If she took another step, the blaze may claim her too; shut her behind a wall of heat. You'd be together, you'd be resting side by side. Her mind urged, but her feet had already changed their course, driven by fear of the flame. They drummed the ground in a primitive frenze, and she swore she could hear the fire give chase. It was faster than any predator she'd faced, following her with an all consuming hunger. It lapped at her tail, her paws, her pelt. It would eat her alive if she didn't-

"I forgive you."

A waved of cool washed over her. A riverbed, had she dived into the river? The voice fluttered in her consciousness, its words a gentle breeze. She opened his eyes to an ocean of stars, shimmering and shifting. Though as she blinked against their light, they seemed to settle into a beautiful silhouette. A familiar pale pelt, golden eyes bright as she remembered. He opened his mouth, and she waited, as eager and hungry as the flames that took her. "I forgive you." His words caressed her ears, sending a pleasant shiver across her pelt. Her mouth flapped open, to say something... anything. But before she could find the words, the ground slipped from under her paws and she plummeted into the abyss.

--

The molly's dull, green eyes blinked against the familiar darkness of the bog. The cold lapped at her fur, crisp and sharp but it was a welcome feeling that calmed her ragged breaths. She could still hear the words of her lover in her dream. They rolled around her mind, until finding a place to sit heavy in her heart. But his words offered no solace to her grief. He shouldn't have died alone in that blaze, she should have fought to be beside him. Even in his dreams she abandoned him, left him to their mercy. "You shouldn't..." Came her reply. "You shouldn't."
