A clan of war and destruction. Ceaseless bloodshed and death walking in the shadow of every cat. Piedflight was familiar with this companion since he was born. He followed the orders of his leader, fighting for his life time and time again. It wasn't until he lost his mate and kits to the endless violence that he questioned his clan. Piedflight opted to flee and receive retribution from StarClan. He ran without looking back.

Piedflight left in the middle of winter. He ran as fast as he could, going days without food. Death was always in his shadow, wrapping itself around him. There was no food, no point to live, he was trapped. During a snow storm, his body numb with cold, he sought a warm place to rest. He was prepared to embrace death and, in what he thought were his final moments in a slightly dry fox burrow, he swears his late mate, who's fur shone with starlight, curled around him to give him peace.

Dancing With The Devil by Set It Off

Ravenbreeze has always been aware of death but thought of it as a distant event that wouldn’t affect him until he was much older. However, after having watching his best friend be killed by a falling tree in a freak accident while trying to save him, Ravenbreeze realised that anyone could die. So, Ravenbreeze lives every day in the present but chooses to live a safe life, refusing to take any risks that could possibly lead him to his demise.

Instead, the tom lives a life where he avoids any form of conflict despite being a warrior just so he does not have to risk his life for his clan, despite the clan being his family because no matter how much he loves his clan, he loves living life more, especially since he has already lost a friend very young and wants to live the life that his friend didn’t get the chance to.

Rooktuft sees death as a transition from one realm to another, and once he dies, he'll join the Ancestors up in the sky, guarding the moon and watching over his loved ones still alive.
