What are Khimaira Friesians?
Khimaira Friesians are a "normal" friesian breed with all characteristics of a friesian and a average height from 15 to 17 hands, but even 18 hands can occur. The first born Khimaira was mistaked for a chimera horse. But a genetic test showed otherwise, there wasn't a second DNA but a complete new and unknown gen. Because this gen makes the friesian look like a chimera it was named khimaira. khimaira doesn't produce a complete new dna coat and therefor it can only lighten or darken the base coat of the horse. Till now only the paint khimaira is known that makes the khimaira coloration looks like tobiano, overo, sabino or splash. But we believe that there will be more khimaira variations out there and we still try to breed them. Appaloosas are not known till now, but we have some great friesian mixed horses with appaloosa patterns, so we are sure to deliver them to you in a short amount of time.

Personality: Sahara is extremely excitable and enthusiastic about practically everything, though she doesn't go "overboard" with her emotions, so to speak. Naturally, she makes a good horse for young children to ride. She's usually patient, and doesn't get bored very easily. However, some children she absolutely cannot, and will not stand. Because she's usually a good horse, she can get away with almost anything easily when she's not. Most people will let her have her way with the riders she wants, because she's so agreeable with most of the population.
Sahara, unfortunately, isn't very dedicated. She wouldn't do well in one chosen discipline, and so she helps beginners learn the basics of quite a few of them. She's very social, but she never has friends that'll stick with her through thick and thin. For being such a social butterfly, she chooses pretty flaky companions. Lucky for her, she doesn't really feel dependent on any one horse.
Finally, Sahara is very persuasive. She could practically persuade someone that the sky is green. She often uses this to her advantage, always manipulating favors out of every horse she knows. While she's a good horse, she still has her flaws, and her manipulative habits definitely qualify for that.
