I wast told to write a poem.
I must finish before I go home.
I promised that I would do my best,
but I think my poor hand needs a rest.

poem zoloft --
hello you happy little pill
a smile, a laugh, a cold dark chill
when tragedy struck you were given to me
to ease the pain, to enhance the glee
take two a day the bottle says
not any more or any less
to change my mood, brighten my day
to undo the thoughts of a once dark way
i remember when before this drug
my pain reliever came in a jug.....(40 proof)
the thoughts of darkness came and went
my days and nights were drunken spent
so for those who wish for a better way
and can't seem to face another day
ask for help, you'll feel better still
from this happy, helpful little pill

Poem:
So round and sweet,
Deliciously soft and tasty.
Frosting slathered on top of your body,
Sprinkled with colorful dots of happiness.
Donut.
I love you.
I love the sugary taste that fills my mouth,
When I take a gentle bite off your side.
I love your carb-filled cake,
And your high-calorie frosting.
Let me at you,
So I can swallow you up.

The river flows through it
The fins sparkle in the light
I throw it my line
A swish of tail fins
Rainbow scales shining brightly
Down into the dark
The dark calls it forth
The fins vanish in the abyss
It took my worm too

Poem:
when i was a child
there was a a game I used to play;
soft graphics, simple mechanics,
and days spent at the shores of pixel beaches
and shining computer rivers, and a 'G' button
Click to fish, tug of rope, and hey, look I've got -
a rainbow trout
and i've forgotten what I used them for,
but I do remember my bernese dog character -
with a hero's smile and a stormy-rainbow top hat
and he was there to save the islands
from the big bad purple-gloom wolf
but doggy probably spent more time catching insects,
chasing kiwis across beaches,
playing hockey in ice rinks, tag in the fields,
running through deserts and harnessing in tornados,
and of course don't forget those days
at the river, at the sea, at the ice holes in the Arctic
catching fish and sharks and shining rainbow trout
(and did he save the world from the big bad wolf?
he sure did, changed the stormy, lighning-black hat
back to the brightest of blues, white clouds and rainbows -
rainbows, just like the elusive rainbow trout
and all of the precious moments captured in the age of the TV screen)

Poem:
meaningful are the colors of life
in everything we ever see or touch
beautiful and alluring, and words of such
red for passion, whether it be good or bad
while orange is definitely the opposite of sad
yellow is bright and an attention getter
green is mellow, to some much better
blue would be stable and just
although purple is powerful and is a must
and pink is quite charming with its pleasant loving touch

Poem:
The Country Sighed by Paul HolmesThere are sparrows in the hedgerows
All aflutter and sounding distraught,
Twittering and constantly muttering
Over things that Man has wrought,
His philosophy over the years show
In our own cunning we’ve been caught.
‘Accelerate the growth of food,
The wheat and corn and rye,
Force feed soils with chemicals
And watch stalks touch the sky.’
But the ground seemed to move
And heave a heavy sigh.
There are salmon and rainbow trout
Swimming up river and stream
Eager to avoid the fisherman’s hook
And evade his cherished dream;
And if you stand still and listen carefully,
You can almost hear them scream.
‘Reel in all the fishes,
On their flesh we’ll have our fill,
Don’t worry about tomorrow
There’ll be some left still.’
And the stream seemed to shiver
At Man’s cold and callous will.
There are those who look at hedgerows
And rivers when on a country walk
And, carefully considering the countryside
They recoil, it makes them baulk;
If the country had a voice they wonder,
Of what words would it talk?
