Welcome to floravits! Floravits
are spirits that have become
stuck in a sort of limbo between
life and the afterlife due to
unfinished business upon their
death. Each floravit’s soul is
linked to a specific flower, and
sometimes may be shared
between multiple flowers.
These flowers manifest
physically into their tails,
which are made of a ghostly,
translucent-type of material.

Species Rules
 Floravits are a closed species. Please do not make your own without an MYO
ticket.
 Credit the artist who made your design.
 Do not claim another person’s floravit as your own or use them without permission.
 Floravits may be traded for other floravits. If traded outside of the species, the new
owner must agree to the species rules.
 Floravits may be sold for currency if you have (1) owned them for at least two
weeks and (2) have extra art. This is to prevent people from flipping floravits for profit.
 Any trades, sales, or gifts must be posted to -this- thread so we can update the
archive.
 Trait changes/edits/additions may not be made to your floravit without the proper
item. Clothing and accessory changes are okay!
 Be kind to other members of the community. Harassment, bullying, and
discrimination towards others will not be tolerated and may result in a ban from the
species.

Floravits run on a trait point system. Each rarity tier has a certain amount of mutation
points to "spend" on traits. For example, a common rarity floravit is valued at five points.
That means that a common floravit can have up to five common traits (each being worth
one point) or one uncommon trait (being worth five points).

Floravit Tails
A floravit's tail is a major aspect of what makes them unique! It can best be imagined as a ghost tail. Every tail must have at least one flower somewhere on it. If using the multiple flower types trait, your floravit may have up to five different species of flowers on their tail.

𝔽𝕝𝕠𝕣𝕒𝕧𝕚𝕥 𝕃𝕚𝕗𝕖𝕔𝕪𝕔𝕝𝕖

All floravits started off as humans at one point or another. Their new life begins when their human self dies. At first, they are no more than a ball of spiritual energy, held tightly together by all their regrets over their lifetime. Eventually, this energy ball evolves into a wisp, where they begin to regain some form of consciousness. They are not fully aware of their state, and are only able to repeat their final thoughts before death. Some souls can get stuck in this state for extremely long periods of time, while for others it is much shorter. This may depend on the severity of their regrets, or their level of strength to overcome them. Finally, when the soul finally breaks this repetition of thought, they gain full consciousness and the wisp evolves into a complete spirit, which is what we know as a floravit.

𝔽𝕝𝕠𝕨𝕖𝕣𝕤
Flowers are a very important aspect to floravits. Every floravit has a special connection to a certain species of flower. For some, it may have been their or a loved one's favorite flower. For others, it may have been the ones in bloom around the time they died. Still for others, it may simply be representative of a certain personality trait or belief, such as how orchids represent elegance and luxury, or how carnations represent love and gratitude. These flowers manifest in a floravit's tail, and rarely, in growths on their body. Without these flowers, the floravit would theoretically return to a state of repetition and unconsciousness, like their wisp form, for some time, and a handful may not be able to return to their full spirit state.

𝕃𝕚𝕗𝕖𝕤𝕥𝕪𝕝𝕖
Floravits generally tend to wander around, ruminating in their past regrets. Some floravits find peace in this new way of life, and may overcome their regrets with time. While this is a difficult process, it is possible, and some of these individuals may even make an attempt to help humans or watch over them, or even try to aid other floravits in overcoming their trangressions.

Others, however, may resort to becoming even worse than they were as humans, some going so far as to haunt or hunt the people who hurt them during their first life. These floravits simply cannot get over their unfinished business, or find it in themselves to forgive those who have wronged them. They tend to be very angry and lash out at others, especially humans.

Every floravit is different, however, and does not have to conform to one of these ways of life. Eventually, every spirit finds their own way and serves a different purpose.
