family tradition; Every year on the day after thanks giving, Lyra and her family would hike up a series of mountains to their own personal cemetery. Her family reserves this cemetery only for blood relatives. After making their way to the cemetery, they would set up a blanket at the front gate and have a picnic. This tradition is used so that even passed relatives can experience and celebrate the holiday. Lyra's family believes very strongly in spirits and the dead, so they want to make sure that their relatives are enjoying life even in the afterlife.

family tradition; (max words 400) One of María's favorite family traditions is decorating her parents house for a big Halloween party they throw every year, that almost everyone goes too. Ever since María was a wee infant she has helped decorate her padre and madre's home. (Father and mother's) To celebrate their favorite holiday. (Halloween)
For a whole month her and the rest of her family get ready for the massive party. Hanging up spooky skeletons, cobwebs, growing and eventually cutting up pumpkins to put them all around the house and outside, María also helps her mother cook for Halloween. Which includes spider candy, pumpkin pie cakes with walnuts, homemade candy for the kids, her grandmothers famous melt-in-you-mouth fudge and along with persimmon cookies, all the food is ready.
Once all the baking is done, and all the decorations are up, they open the doors to dozens of hungry Viscets and other animals of the forest, admiring everyone's creative costumes and treats they brought along.

Whew, this took forever to draw but was really fun OwO'
extra writing; (optional - max is 700 words) María in her spare time loves to make candy for orphaned children. She starts by gathering all the ingredients, such as picking wild sugar cane in the forest near the river by her house.
Once she is done collecting all ingredients, she heads back home and mixes everything together. Then making a mold of lollipops and hard candy string, she lets the candy mold set for a few hours, then, hurriedly stuffs all the new candy into a corn sack and heads to the orphanage to brighten a few little animals days.
The main reason why María gives to the orphanage is because she used to be an orphan herself. Although María was very young when she was there, she still faintly remembers it. The stale food, the unclean beds. Even the drip on the ceiling next to her bed when she went to sleep. But, as soon as she was adopted and years later that is all she could remember about the orphanage.
As soon as María was old enough, she went to the orphanage and fixed up the place. Ordering a new roof, improving the the food, cleaning the beds, and overall making the orphanage much more bearable to live in.
And that's when María started making the candy for the orphans, every Friday she would come by, give the candy, and play with them for awhile. Despite her 'odd' appearance the children always loved her company, and came to anticipate her, more then the candy!

family tradition; Roses are now a key subject in Azul's family, from generations to generations, the family would go visit the graveyard, once every two weeks, mourn for the dead, and be grateful for their lives, they would do it for years on end, counting how many graves there was in the yard, and mourn for them as if they were family. Until one day, things started to change, Azul would grow roses of all colours, she asked the families questions about their deceased loved ones and would grow roses of their favourite colour, then she would lay out each of the roses of the deceased one's favourite colour on their grave, until the day that she would join them she swore an oath to lay out the roses and make the graveyard look beautiful than their stereotypical gloomy and spooky grey, brown and dark greens. But instead, an array of bright beautiful colours, pinks, blues, greens, reds almost all the colours of the rainbow adore the graveyard, making it pleasurable to walk through, with an array of different colour roses on each grave, with the family to swore to the oath as well, to keep the Graveyard full of colours and to grow roses of different colours, it was kept as a new family tradition for all member to partake in, old and young.

extra writing; Azul started to grow the roses in memory of her younger sister who died because of a sickness, her sister would grow these great beautiful red roses and would always braid them into crowns and bracelets. so Azul started to grow loads of them, she started the new tradition as she would lay her sister's favourite colour of rose down (red) and would always stay at her little grave the longest, that is why she is crying as she is holding her sister's Rose, she would also make the same flower crown as her sister made on her head, and she still has her first flower crown from her sister, in a special locked box in Azul's room.
