Rules

General Rules
☆ Follow all Chicken Smoothie rules, please!
☆ Please be kind to all members of our amazing dragon loving community!
☆ No harassment allowed! If you're having an issue with this, please reach out to Firestars staff or CS staff.
☆ AI art or writing is not allowed. We value human creativity here!
☆ Rules may change based on need

Species Rules
☆ No limit on how many dragons you may own! As the saying goes, "The more the merrier", right?
☆ 14 days for eggs to hatch, then another 14 days before the hatchling becomes an adult! All in all, a dragon will grow in 28 days. Once full grown, dragons cannot breed for 7 days. *Subject to change as needed*
☆ Firestars dragons, items, and myos can be sold, gifted, or traded for whatever the user desires. (This includes art)
☆ Pre-existing OCs that you have and might want transferred into Firestars are allowed, so long as there is permission from the original artist for the transfer!
☆ Rules may change based on need

Staff Rules
☆ Staff are expected to follow Firestars and CS rules!
☆ If an issue comes up between users, staff are expected to be unbiased in dealing with the situation
☆ Staff is expected to work together on a united front. If something comes up and you as a staff member are unsure how to resolve it, don't hesitate to ask other staff members for help!
☆ All staff must have a discord. It does not have to be a main discord; It is totally fine to make a secondary account for this!
☆ Based on activity, all staff will receive an R MYO each month (so long as activity lines up)

Artist Rules
☆ Competitions should be judged promptly and without bias - unless the competition is a raffle. Raffles will be rolled in the discord.
☆ Please post edits in the correct format when posting a founder or adopt. (If needed, reach out to me or other staff for assistance!)
☆ Staff is expected to work together on a united front.
☆ Full staff may open customs and payment is up to them!
☆ Full staff does not need approval from other staff to post a dragon, unless there is confusion or a question
☆ Like the rest of the staff, artists will receive a R MYO each month (so long as activity lines up)

Guest Artist Rules
☆ Guest artists may make founders and adopts with UC and below edits
☆ Guest artists must run their designs by a full staff member before posting
☆ Each guest artist will join Firestars for a calendar month, and will be given a R MYO for their time with us!
☆ Each guest artist is expected to make at least two adopts during their time as a guest artist
☆ Staff will discuss if the guest artist should be brought on as a full-time artist (or be a guest artist for another term) after the term is up.
☆ Discord is not required for a guest artist, but it would make life easier. Full artists will need a discord, so keep that in mind when applying as a guest artist!

Welcome to Whisperwing Griffins!

Nobody is entirely sure how it happened, one moment they're nothing but a myth,
the next moment they've engrained themselves into nature and society.

A feathered and furred mixture of feline and avian, Whisperwing Griffin are a
smaller variety, most closely related to domestic cats, falcons, and hawks.
Diet consists of small prey animals, but they won't turn down eggs and berries.

Able to adapt to all environments, they can be found through this world and others.
While a lot value their freedom and live rogue or form flocks/clans/groups,
some preffered to be domesticated and enjoy companionship as pets or work animals,
from griffin couriers to guardians of land.

They are well known for their strong personalities and individuality.
Notable behaviours include purring when content, chirping when pleased,
hissing when agitated, and squawking when surprised.

They groom the fur along their rump and tail, and preen every feather.
Whisperwing Griffin are known to have various hoarding tendancies,
from shiny objects to pretty shells, each hoard is individual.

Welcome to Neteru Stables, we are excited to have you! You must be interested in what horses we breed here. Well, we have what is considered to be a rare, ancient breed from Cairo, Egypt. Not many believe that they even exist, they are called Neteru Shadow Walkers. They are a shy breed, you'd be lucky to find such a horse out in the desert. Now, I'm sure you are wondering why they are called Neteru Shadow Walkers? Well, the word Neteru is Egyptian for Guardian, which fits, since they where used to guard and transport the Pharaohs and gods. As for the Shadow in their name, they move so swiftly and silently, that they seem like they are phantoms that walk in the shadows. The Neteru Shadow Walkers were once part of the Dahman Arabian Strain, but a small herd were left to roam the wastes of the deserts until they settled in one spot where eventually they mated and mixed with a small herd of barbs. With this came a breed that was held in high esteem by the Pharaoh’s, as they believed that they were once used by the gods to serve as mounts for both war and pleasure. Due to their large hooves, they could easily maneuver their habitat as well as move swiftly on not only rocky terrain but also in the sandy deserts surrounding them. These horses can be found in every Equine color known. Brindle, chimeric and somatic Neterus are the only rare colors in this breed so finding one is considered good fortune to the owner. Now, I know you are wondering how these rare horses were not only found, but also brought to the United States. Over time they were brought down from the mountains in Cairo that they once called home and into a few select stables that were tasked with their welfare and breeding. For centuries, those stables once tasked to care for them had kept the breed hidden from the world until one day, the current owner of the last remain stable of Neteru Shadow Walkers decided it was time to bring them here. Egypt was now a war zone and was no longer safe for these sacred horses. So she brought them out to the California desert area called Barstow, where she and a team spent years carefully breeding them from their once small population into the large numbers they are now. Since there are so many of the horses here now, the owner has decided it is time to adopt out some to good and loving homes to carry the breed on! So are you ready, let’s go check out the horses! 1. Be respectful.
We are welcoming and kind here

2. I don't own animal crossing, but if you want to participate in the Islanders community you will need villagers created by species artists.
You can include your own acnh villager ocs as npcs in your lore

3. Leveling is optional
it's ok to adopt villagers and leave it at that. It's not a requirement to keep your oc

4. We will eventually have a discord
but i am in no hurry. I want to build up on cs first

5. Villagers may be inspired by media characters but not 1 to 1 copies

6. You cannot sell your villagers. Only trade them for other villagers or art.
any friendship level acquired will go to 0 when traded

7. If anyone gives you problems or you have questions, you can message me (BlueEyedKite) at any point

Step 1. Create a storage topic that will be your "island". It needs to have a name and link back to the Islanders species page
- you cannot call dibs on a name, but try and look through the archive before naming yours so we don't have repeats

Step 2. Create a player villager.
- think of them like the main character for all your arpg leveling

Step 3. Submit your island to be registered at the arpg leveling topic

Step 4. Apply for open villager adopts

Step 5. Level your island/villagers for species currency
- leveling prompts you can find here

Step 6. Spend your species currency at the Islanders store

A: i like drawing them more humanized but other artists, or you, can draw your villagers in another style. No biggie

A: you don't have to level if you don't want to. But also, during events there will be more rng based currency gains yeah

What's the deal with Kite's villagers?

You may notice the competitions for my villager adopts differ from the other artists. Let me explain:

Every day you have until rollover to say something to the villager. It could be a question, maybe you hype up your island, if you have other villagers you can use them to entice the newcomer.

Whatever route you take, at rollover, I respond as the villager. You can post once per day up until the close date. After the close date, the villager will decide who they want to go home with. Should you win the villager, you are free to immediately change the name, personality, and basically do what you want with your new oc.

Now it's not random how the villager will respond. I will put clues about the villager's likes and dislikes, their hobbies, and other fun facts hidden in the drawing. Each villager has a personality already set. 3 hobbies. And 3 likes and 3 dislikes.

For example, if you offer a villager your island which is cottagecore themed, but one of their hobbies is graffiti art, it may not be a selling point to gush about all your beige and cream decor.

How could you tell they are into graffiti art? Well there might be a spray can tucked behind a rock.

If, instead of yapping about your cottagecore island, you mention how you are SO INTO art right now. That might sway the villager.

Does this make sense? It's like speed dating except you are trying to impress a villager ^^;

These creatures come from Valhalla and where once pure bred dragons but from Eikthyrnir's grace were reborn in his image and named as such. They range from 18-25'hh and arrive to us in a variety of colorations, though they often tend to resemble horses more then elk or deer. They do not have mouths as they do not eat or speak. They consume the energy floating around Valhalla and can speak telepathically to eachother but with mortals theyre best forum of communication is huffs and snorts. Loud long low pitch snort indicate irritation or discomfort where as soft short high-pitched snorts indicate joy and excitment.

For the history of this spieces please refer to Mimir and he will tell you of how they came to be its a bit sad so be warned... If we could find him that is... I'm sure his link will appear here in the next day or so.

Their mane does reflect these colors but their tails do not (I've been basing the color off gems but you don't have to)
-Their belly scales are an exception, they only appear in one solid color
-their eyes are their most draconic feature and is not allowed to be edited.

Some new mutations have been discovered! An abnormal male has kept his draconic horns and spikes.

A new colt has been born with a single horn!

Note:
Dragon Horns- The horns can only pass to males
Spikes - The spikes can pass to females & females with spike mutation also have a chance to pass dragon horns to male offspring
1 horn - can only pass to males, though females can carry the gene.

Summary of Changes:

• Transfers
WMEs may now be transferred out of the species with permission from the original artist. If transferring into a different species, make sure to get permission from their staff and make sure to credit the original designer. Transfers for new adopts in the future will be on a case-by-case basis, but there is no time limit or deadline for transfers of your old characters because of these special circumstances. Take as long as you need to decide :pink_heart: If you transfer to another species, it'll be up to them if you're allowed to transfer back to WMEs if you change your mind in the future. I'll be reaching out to Kitsyn and IceFire ASAP to see about their designs.

• Unfinished Work
I'm currently creating a masterlist of owed work within the species so we can get started on it. I'll be providing these options to anyone with unfinished work: having the artist finish it in WMEs (if the artist is willing), having a different artist finish it in WMEs (if the artist isn't willing; the new artist would get paid compensation for their work from my pocket), transferring it to another species (as long as they're willing to take it on), or getting a refund (for anything purchased with real currency, C$ equivalents for items, etc; this would come from my pocket). Users will be reached out to for clarification on what they want to choose moving forward. Please be a little bit patient while we figure everything out since the list is quite long!

• Breeding
When breeding eventually reopens, WMEs will be able to produce offspring regardless of the parents' genders. I want people to feel safe and wanted within our community 🩷 Plus, if scientists can produce mice with two moms or two dads nowadays, then it's realistic enough to allow this science to take place in our semi-realistic species. As far as genetics go, I won't be making artists use realistic horse genetics when breeding WMEs, and I personally won't use them myself. I know some people like that for their breedings, though, so I won't stop artists from using realistic genetics if they have the knowledge and want to.

• V1-3 Lines
All WME linearts were included in the sale, so they all fall under the same policies now.

• Ownership
Even if I own the lines, I don't personally co-own your characters. WME designs are a part of the species overall and must follow species rules, so you could say that they "belong" to the species, but they're owned by the individual user and are credited to the artists that created them (including horsy1050 for creating the lines and concept as well). When it comes to transfers out of the species, the artists get to have a say in what happens to their own design creations.

• AUs and Multiple Species
AU versions of WMEs as humans, creatures, or other animals are allowed. If you want them in multiple species at the same time, you must first confirm with the WME's artist and the other species' staff that they're okay with it. We ask that you keep the WME version as their "main" reference.

• Cooldown
I'm pausing the two-month cooldown rule temporarily so people can rehome their WMEs if they desire to without having to wait. I don't want anyone to feel stuck here 🩷 This cooldown will not apply to any breedings and customs on the current list of outstanding work, and will come back into effect with any new WMEs created for adoption.

• Staff
We aren't hiring staff quite yet, but keep an eye out for a new artist competition and mod applications (: If older staff want to return, they'll always be welcome, but we understand if they want to step away from the species and we'll always be grateful for their contributions over the years.

• ARPG
The ARPG is being paused until the species is in a good place again and we can figure out how to run it successfully. All of your tokens, items, and levels will remain and find future use. It's possible that the new species might accept transfers of these, but we haven't been able to discuss anything yet so I'm not sure how their staff will want to handle it.

You are one of the bold: those who have chosen to leave the safety of the known world behind. Some come seeking freedom, others chase destiny, redemption, or rumors of a place where new groups might rise.

Frontier is an arpg focused on worldbuilding and character development, taking inspiration from Warriors and DnD. As the community explores the new world, more quests, encounters, and characters will be unlocked.

note from Paris: this map is based on reports from the earliest scouts that ventured out to survey the lands. not much is known outside of the crescent, which is where i set up a makeshift camp. i have come up with names for the different regions, perhaps they will change with time? or perhaps more borders will be drawn? i will update the map as i gather information from those exploring the Frontier, and as settlements begin to form

For many seasons, lumenwings had been a tiny species, kept contained and starved on a tiny island off the coast of some otherworldly continent. Barely any food to eat and safe water to drink, their population stayed small, and their days were filled with woe. Luckily, they were freed; and fresh water flowed from every stream, fruit and prey were plump and bountiful... and another problem arose among the fast-growing population. That is to say, overpopulation. Too many lumenwings, all jammed together on one teeny tiny island with few other places to go... truly, quite a predicament! Indlo, the leader and deity of the lumenwings, consulted the strongest deity in their universe, and together they formed a plan.

The Inter-Dimensional Portal, a spiraling light tunnel created at the center of the Golden Grove, and an invitation system to send the overabundance of lumenwings through the portal to... elsewhere. Where is elsewhere? Other universes and dimensions, of course! And your universe could be next!

General Rules

1. All Chicken Smoothie rules and guidelines must be followed in any interaction within the ARPG; this includes interactions both on forum threads and within the Discord server.
2. Please respect all members of the community and all staff.
3. Any usage of AI-generated content, including but not limited to images, adopt entries, and adopt prompts is strictly prohibited, and will result in an instant ban. If you believe you have been wrongly banned or deceived by an AI image you used, don't be afraid to fill out the Ban Appeal Form!
4. You may have as many subgroups, ranks, and folders as you wish, however your lumenwings must all be stored on one single storage page. This can be a CS thread, a toyhou.se page, or some other form of publicly accessible storage.
5. All users are entitled to one founder if their account is at least 2 months of age; this founder may be traded, however the user cannot get another founder if they choose to trade them.
6. Begging of any kind (ex. for lumenwings, species items, or art) is not tolerated.
7. Individual pages have their own rules; please follow those alongside the rest of the rules listed in this post.

Species Rules

1. Artists have one month to judge competitions after their end date. If a judging period runs over this granted time period, you are permitted to contact one of the species owners with concerns.
2. Lumenwings are an on-oekaki species. You may do whatever you wish with your lumenwing’s reference off-oekaki, however their oekaki ref is the image considered “official” for each individual lumenwing. All edits must be applied through color-in, and all edit changes or item uses must be recorded through posting a form in the Archive Updates. Edits must be approved by one of the owners in order to be considered official. C+ Edits require usage of an eraser item to be removed. C+ Edits require usage of a pencil or quill item to be adjusted/changed. NR edits require no item to be removed or changed. Background and line color changes may be done at any time without needing an approval. If you wish to use a background not in your lumenwing’s file, you can find a download of all of our backgrounds (for use on Lumenwings only) here. Note that this will not be considered an official ref change, as backgrounds are cosmetic and optional.
3. Coat designs and wing/lantern/antenna/whisker patterns may not be edited for any reason without the necessary items.
4. Any lumenwing design may be transferred out of the species upon request, as long as a link back to its original Oekaki page is given or the design is given an off-base reference. Do note that transferred-out lumenwings can never be transferred back in. Transferring a design out is permanent. Lumenwings will be considered transferred out if the owner’s Chicken Smoothie account is deleted.
5. There is no limit to how many lumenwings a single user can own.

Getting Started

1. Check out the rules post above for all the rules and guidelines of Lumenwings!
2. Create a storage page! This can be on Chicken Smoothie, Toyhou.se, or even Google Docs or Google Sheets - as long as it's publicly accessible. This step is required to win adopts and request your founder.
3. If your account is over 2 months old, you can request your founder and claim them once they're done. Founders are single free customizable lumenwings made by one of our artists, and they even come with a welcome package once made!
4. If your account isn't eligible for a founder yet, or you simply want something to do while waiting for your founder, check out the active adopts! These lumenwings will have an "Adopt Me!" sign on their oekaki image. Note that not all lumenwings with an "Adopt Me!" sign are still open - remember to check when the competition ends (or ended, in some cases) before entering!
5. After you get a lumenwing from any source, feel free to check out the stories function for monthly unique prompts in exchange for rewards, as well as prompts for more permanent questions that also reward your answers! If an event is ongoing, you can also enter that with your brand new lumenwing!

A combination of "Pixel" and "Ant"

Pixants is a new adoptable species where you raise a colony of pixel ants, called Pixants!

Pixants, unlike real ants, have unlimited colors and patterns and live forever! These little colourful guys are plentiful and hatch from eggs. Inspired by Equidust Adoptables, they require likes and/or comments to hatch.

Pixants will be free.

Sleighbreds are a holiday-limited horse breed, originating from EmberWolf here.

Sleighbreds will return in winter of 2026.

Sleighbreds usually find their forever homes during wintertime, but there's a small number who simply can't wait.

Please welcome to generation 4 of Wild Mountain Equids!

Following feedback from the community we have updated the lines to reflect the original concept of equids from generations 1 and 2. These lines have the sleeker bodies and legs and updated shading that doesn't make them look as round! Arctics remain untouched and we have introduced the niquid that you will be seeing more of soon!

High up in the mountains of North America and Europe, you will find curious looking equids. They are short, with long, twiggy legs and a swishing tail, similar to a cat's. They have a mane that continues down their back and part of their tail. Males are fluffier, with underbelly fur and extra leg and face fur. The equids have extra large ears for better hearing, but small nostrils, so their sense of smell is less effective. But then again, predators can go down wind, but nothing can stop the crumbling of rocky ledges. When they sleep, they curl their tails around themselves for warmth and comfort. These equids have no natural weapons and no strength, so during mating the males, as opposed to fighting, make their mane stand on end, which makes them look bulkier. The equid with the longest mane and bulkiest body will create the hardier foals. But due to their skinny legs and weak back, an equid cannot be ridden. So they continued to live peacefully in the mountains.

Wild Mountain Equids are a closed species. This means that new equids can only be made by the original creator, horsy1050, or those given permission to create them.

Currently the only permissible user that can create Wild Mountain Equids is horsy1050.
The current exception of this is for the clearance of part completed equids started prior to the pause.

The creation of any equids outside of this is a breach of copyright and will be treated as such.

Any designs created by other artists in the WME official lineart are the joint property of both the original creator, horsy1050, and the artist who created it. However, they are still subject to the WME rules as detailed in the information hub unless concent has been given by parties.

A closed species also means that by adopting, purchasing or breeding an equid, you agree to following all rules associated with the species as detailed in the information hub. Failure to do so is also a breach of copyright.

Deep within the Yukon in the year 1836, Jaques Giovanni Kymberlin discovered a rather large and beautiful breed of draft horse unlike any he had ever seen. He was able to keep them a secret amongst family, friends, and trusted colleges until recent discoveries and a massive wildfire drove them from their habitat. They fell upon a local reserve's lands and their large numbers were staggering, forcing the Department of Land Management to capture and adopt out many of these creatures. Little to nothing is known of this reclusive breed's origins yet they have drawn massive attention by the public and these lovely giants have found homes in many regions in the world.

Due to recent documentation, it is highly recommended that these beautiful beasts stay in a cooler climate, due to their many years of evolution in the wilds of the Yukon. The Department still continues to find and preserve small herds within its natural boundaries, taking any they see that are sick, injured, or too large in number to give them a more suitable home where they can live comfortably.

Coat Coloration Notes:

Dappling is also very common in this breed, meaning if non grey/sooty genetics are present, dappling may pass with a 60% chance but if grey or sooty genetics are present, it passes with 100% to the foal.

Brindling, somatic mutations, calico, and other colorful expressions on this breed are not commonly seen therefore to obtain such a specimen is highly valued as they were often sold away to different habitats. Because of this reason, it is rare to see these genetics in the wild variety of Yukons.

Chubari spotting is a striking white spotting seen on a horse. Not much is known about this genetic yet it is thought to be associated originally with greying in other horse species. The reverse version of this marking is shown by being lighter or darker than the base coat and not white like typical chubari spotting.

False point is a special marking that only affects Chestnut bases and will only express in extreme manners to cream or champagne diluted chestnut coat varieties specifically.

Chimera is a very rare marking and it is almost exclusively a Mare that will express the coat mutation. There is a very small chance that it could be a Stallion but from the genetic testing and breeding done with these special Yukons, the foals have a 90% chance of being a filly and only a 10% chance to be a colt.

This adoption agency is an exploration based agency, the team here at FMNR feel it would be more rewarding to make that personal connection with your horse as you go out on your own or with your bonded Yukons! We have four different entry levels, each with a percentage chance of finding one of these beauties on your own! You may find and enter your forms in the Exploration Log so each horse discovered can be thoroughly documented.

**Disclaimer** Each winner will be decided by a random number generator and each horse will be calculated using a random horse generator. Whether or not you find a horse is solely based on the rng used. Rare or Uncommon markings will also be determined by a list randomizer. This horse will be unique to you and no two Yukons will be the same! Unless they're twins but we will talk about that later

Biologists have made reports that a new species has been spotted in the bowels of the woods, keeping themselves tethered to the thicket and seldom making appearance known. Documented below is all information scientists have regarding this newly-discovered species.

[pronounced faw-nah] are a ruminant species of the Mammal kingdom hailing from the Cervidae family. Similiar in structure to a fallow deer, Fawnaes appear as lithe, slender deer with properties of the flora in their given environment. In contrast to its fallow counterpart, a Fawnae deer seems to vary in color and markings, differentiating themselves from the typical deer in the variety its flora-based genetics provide.

A Fawnae's diet consists primarily of nuts, berries, insects, fruits, and foliage... Though some have been documented as omnivorous, with rare sightings of certain specimens scavenging for meat, and in some instances, catching their own prey by virtue of their flora and/or horns.

The main indicator that separates a Fawnae from the typical stag is their unique evolutionary trait of the flowering body. Fawnae, in opposition to any other Cervidae, have adapted to their surroundings quite literally. Flora seems to bloom at the base of both their horns, said horns consisting of a wood-like texture. Researchers have found that some Fawnae react adversely to low light, while some flourish in a more low-lit environments. This, researchers concluded, is due to the variety of flora that present themselves within the Fawnae species.

Scientists have begun the search for Fawnae willing to interact with humans. The species seems to, en-masse, be skittish and weary of any and all contact. However, hope is being held that some Fawnae will be found open to domestication...

Biologists have made it their priority to continue the swift study and rehoming Fawnae… only to discover not much had changed, truly. Their pelts have become thicker, and their tails far longer. Those finding themselves studying the fawns are still trying to discover the evolutionary purpose as to why. They've still officially recognized as a member of the Cervidae family; scientists are still studying how it is a mammal has fused with the properties of the flora around it. If only Darwin were here to offer his insight...

Community Guidelines

Users may be politely warned to prevent rule-breaking behaviors in the future, however, there is no 3-tier warning system; Users should always be on their best behavior.
All community members (including staff) are held to the same expectations to respect
Block evasion directed towards artists will result in a species ban, this includes acquiring chicoons made by artists who have you blocked.
Chicoons recognize comments that express dissatisfaction in competition/raffle results, complaints about chicoons or chicoon shop prices, or requesting items, myos, or chicoons for free; to be insulting to our staff and hard-working community members, comments that follow these guidelines will be penalized.
Not knowing or understanding the rules is not an excuse, they are public and easy to access, if you have any questions please dm a species moderator.

Ownership, Selling. Trading, ETC

Chicoons can be sold, bought, traded, or gifted by default
Any chicoons made by non-staff members (customs, myos, guest artist designs, etc) are regulated by default chicoon TOS, additional TOS cannot be applied or added to them.
Chicoons made by staff are regulated by Artist TOS located here. TOS of Artists who can no longer be contacted will be reverted to the default chicoon TOS
Chicoons cannot be co-owned
Chicoons can be used as your sona or as a member of your headspace
Users banned from the species cannot acquire new chicoons or chicoon-related items.
Users banned from the species can transfer, gift, or sell the chicoons they already own.
If a user is banned, the Items and MYOs they own can no longer be used, redeemed, sold, traded, gifted, etc.
Making a chicoon for the sole purpose of auctioning, raffling, or selling the chicoon is disrespectful to the chicoon staff and is not allowed.
Chicoon that come with companions are required to be traded/sold/gifted with the companion, they cannot be separated.
It is up to the users participating in a trade/sale/etc to correctly log all changes in ownership being made a chicoon to the archive approval thread linkhere. Any transactions not accurately logged on the correct archive thread will not be recognized by the species.
Purchasing a chicoon, or participating in a competition with the intent to give the chicoon to a user who is not allowed to purchase/participate in the chicoon will be punished with a species ban to both users. (whether the user is blocked by the artist, banned from the species, Coppa'd by chickensmoothie, etc) (this rule does not affect purchasing a chicoon to gift it to a friend who is allowed to participate in the species regularly)
There is no limit to how many chicoons a user may own.
There is no limit on how many milestone/rare chicoons a user may own.

Artist Rules

Artists are required to make at least 2 free adopts every month.
Nursery Artists are required to make 2 free nursery batches every month.
Artists & Nursery Artists must create their free adopts before creating paid adopts
Artists that have made less than 10 main adopts are required to get their chicoon adopts approved by a moderator before being posted.
Artists are expected to follow the chicoon traits and rarity lists- continued incorrect use of chicoon traits may affect your Artist position
Artists who have been inactive for 2 months without prior notice will be dismissed from the Artist position
Artists are allowed (and encouraged) to sell chicoons for any kind of currency of payment
When redeeming a "Staff Sticker" please provide links to the minimum amount of free chicoons made during a month. The chicoons should have accurate timestamps reflecting the month you're redeeming them for (based on the CS-timezone)
a Chicoon that has no finished forms, hadn't sold, or goes unnoticed can be kept or gifted out by the artist without needing a myo.
Artists can sell custom slots to the chicoon community for any price, the slots do not count towards their monthly minimum.
Customs made by artists that uncommon or under rarity do not need a myo, any rare traits applied to the design will require the applicable items or a myo with the correct amount of rare traits.
Artists without an "Archive-type" role/staff position can no longer approve myos, customs, etc without Sweathies expressed permission.
"Artists" and "Nursery artists" are treated as separate roles but paid the same. a user who is both Artist and Nursery Artist can earn twice the payment, however is still expected to do both positions' minimum adopt counts individually. (Min 2 artist adopts as well as Min 2 nursery sheets)
Artists who are not also labeled as "nursery artists" are welcome to open nursery slots, however no staff-based payments will be earned without the additional title role "Nursery Artist" the same goes for the opposite.
Artists can opt in or out of the "Nursery Artist" position at any time, or swap to being solely "Nursery Artist." The same can be said for nursery artists. Please discuss changes in staff positions with Buzz.
Rare traits are reserved for event closures, every 50 nursery batches, and/or every 50 chicoons made through the main adopt thread and events. To request permission to make a milestone adoption, please visit the Staff Discord.
Milestones have permission to have up to 4 rare edits, unlimited uncommon, and unlimited common.
Nursery milestones have permission to use the PPS event trait.
Milestones can be sold and auctioned, the same as any other chicoon adopt.
Each artist can only claim ONE milestone at a time. If a milestone is claimed and not started or is a work in progress, the artist may NOT claim another milestone until the original milestone adopt is posted and the chicoon is adopted out.
If the milestone is reached faster than expected and you have not finished the design yet, you can post a cover. The chicoon must be revealed within 2 weeks (14 days) of the cover being posted.
Artists are discouraged to make sheets/batches of adopts when IDs are within 10 chicoons of a milestone.
A maximum of 10 chicoon adopts can be put on one oekaki canvas.
Staff birthday myos can be requested from Buzz Aesthetic if the Staff member was active during their birthday month.
Staff birthday myos have 4 rare edits, unlimited uncommon and common edits, and 1 event trait, the event trait is not limited to previous events & can be any trait listed in the event trait guide. This must be discussed with Buzz Aestheticif the trait has not been seen in an event yet.
Staff birthday myos lose their event trait when traded to a non-staff member.
Staff hired within a month of their birthday month can still request a birthday myo IF they complete their position-required activity minimum.
Artists are welcome to give out any of these listed rewards as runner-ups to chicoons; the reward should reflect a similar- or lower- rarity as the chicoon the user entered for. These are not removed from an artist's inventory and are fabricated by the chicoon species.
There are limits on runner-ups for milestone adopts because of milestones’ use of rare traits.
If there are multiple outstanding entries, artists can contact the mod team about breaking these limits.

Artist Payments

Active artists are welcome to sell chicoons for any price/currency/offer through the chicoon hubs.
Active artists can claim 10 chicoins every 30 days in the discord (manually; through the /collect-income command)
If a staff member makes 15 chicoons for free during a month they may request 2 items from the store, whether these free chicoon were via nursery batches, or main adopts. they are both counted individually.
staff who are hired within 3 months of their birthday, or are active during their birthday month receive a myo with 4 rare edits, 1 event edit (any one listed!), and unlimited common and uncommon edits.
Staff are not required to have myos when offering uncommon, common, or NR customs to the community. these customs can be sold for any price.
When fabricating a new chicoon (myos, adopts, or customs) staff can give them a companion without a necessary companion gummy.

Moderator Payments

Moderators receive 1 Staff sticker every 2 weeks they're active
40% of the chicoon shop proceeds are claimed by buzz aesthetic. the remaining 60% gets split equally between the moderators.
Moderators have their own positions they are expected to upkeep.
Moderators have access to fabricate myos
Moderators do not require myos to make chicoons for themself (commonly known as a Mod Pass )
Moderators can make 1 myo for themself using the event trait, for free, however, this is only allowed during the time the event is open and running.

Chicoins & Selling Chicoons for Chicoins

Chicoins are a discord-exclusive currency intended to reward active staff members & community members who support the Chicoons discord server.
Artists or Nursery Artists may sell chicoons or nursery slots for Chicoins, these are considered "paid chicoons/slots" and do not count towards their monthly minimum.
Chicoin sales being made by an artist are required to be discussed with a moderator before and during the transaction.
Purchases made with Chicoins through the shop will delete the chicoins- these funds do not get separated through the moderators.

"Staff Stickers" or Staff Myos

Staff stickers were previously known as "Staff myos" but were renamed due to the name previously suggesting the items only use was as a myo ticket. (effective V3!)
Archive Assistants receive 1x Staff Sticker for every 10 approvals/denials they complete. (A maximum of 3 Staff Stickers can be earned in one month.)

Nursery Artists receive 1x Staff Sticker for every 2 free nursery adopts they complete (A maximum of 2 Staff Stickers can be earned in one month.)
Moderators receive 1 Staff sticker every 2 weeks they're active
Archivists receive 1 Staff Sticker every 2 weeks they're active.
If a "Staff Sticker" is sold it loses all additional abilities and can only be redeemed as a regular myo, or an unedited companion myo. If expecting to offer a "staff sticker" in a trade as a shop item, staff will be required to exchange the staff sticker first
Staff stickers can be exchanged for one of the following choices;
myos received by staff before 2-14-2022 are not "staff myos" or "Staff stickers" Staff may do any/all their staff rewards twice during February 2022, when this rule was implemented.
To redeem your staff sticker, provide links to the free adopts you made that qualify you for a staff sticker. Links should be provided in the "Proof" or "Payment" section of a form. Example

Creating a Chicoon

Chicoons are a closed species, which means you cant make your own without permission from the owner (traditionally in the form of a Make Your Own [MYO] token.)
Any chicoons made by non-staff members (customs, myos, guest artist designs, etc) are regulated by default chicoon TOS, additional TOS cannot be applied
Chicoon customs, reference transfers, or growths that are a work-in-progress when a community member is banned should either be refunded by the artist or finished within a week. Any transactions after the week-long grace period are required to be refunded.
Making a chicoon for the sole purpose of auctioning, raffling, or selling the chicoon is disrespectful to the chicoon staff and is not allowed.
Chicoons can be any gender or sexuality, limits on this rule during a competition, event, trade, gift, auction, or etc is not allowed.
Species can not be bred outside of the species, but are welcome to have relationships outside of the species.
Chicoons can be given anthro or human forms, but these forms do not exist within the canon universe.
The Buzz A signature should not be removed from the Chicoons lineart. Tracing, using chicoons lineart as a base, and/or editing any chicoon lineart will always require the Buzz A signature is present.

Editing Chicoon lineart, adding traits, transfers, & growths

Transferring a chicoon is defined as; recreating an existing chicoon in order to update the chicoon's reference image. Applying the Custom Lines [NR] trait, redrawing a chicoon made off-oekaki to on-oekaki, translating a chicoon designed on batch/bulk lineart onto the main adopt lines, or relining an on-oekaki reference because the original reference was lost, inaccurate, needs to be updated, or does not satisfy the owners preferences.
Unlike revamps, transfers can be done at any time. Any transfer will require an approval on the accurate archive thread, but there is no limit to how often, or how many times, a user transfers a chicoon.
Growths are defined as; transferring a chicoon from a set of nursery lineart to an acceptable adult lineart or applying the Custom lines [NR] trait to a chicoon posted through the nursery with the intention of signifying the chicoon is no longer young.
Items are defined as; Species-related consumables purchased from an official shop or given to a user during an event. Adding items to a chicoon may affect a chicoons rarity and may require the tail stripes on a chicoon to be updated. Items are not the same as Accessories; a NR trait that is purely cosmetic that allows your chicoon to have clothing, piercings, hand-held objects, or other removable decorations.
Items can be applied by any user with the permission of the owner of the chicoon. Items can be applied during a transfer or growth, or directly to a chicoons reference.
Items that do not specify the ability to change a chicoons design, cannot. Items that simply add or remove a rarity trait should follow the pattern and theme of the existing chicoon design.
Any user can add new traits to an existing chicoon as long as the user owns the chicoon & has an item that allows for those new traits. New traits/edits must be approved by a staff member via the archive.
Users are welcome to host shops for transfers, growths, and/or item applications. Transfers, growths, and/or item applications can be sold or commissions for any price, any currency, or any other form of payment.

Staff are not required to do transfers or growths for chicoons they make.
A chicoon can be revamped after it has existed for 1 year with permission from the original artist (or species owner). More information about revamps can be found on the archive approval thread linkhere

Limitations to colors or designs

Chicoon flames are limited to a set of specific colors, all colors that are currently accessible can be found here the number of colors located on a flame is limited by rarity, but the colors themselves are not.
Chicoon that are common or uncommon are required to have rarity/tail stripes located on their tail
rarity stripes or tail stripes are described as solid-colored bars going around the diameter of a chicoons tail. the bars should not have any spots, freckles, gradients, or markings that would disrupt the solid line.
rarity/tail stripes will always be the highest number of same-color stripes, this includes the negative space between the intended stripes
Although a little bit of curve is allowed while drawing rarity/tail stripes, the general position of the stripes should be unbroken and surround the entire diameter of a chicoons tail.
The labeled rarity of a chicoon should match the rarest traits found on the chicoon, a common chicoon wouldn't be able to have uncommon edits, however an uncommon chicoon could have common edits.
Seasonal traits are unique and will only ever be able to be received through seasonal events, such as the summer, fall, winter, and spring quarterly events. Seasonal traits may reappear via similar events they originally appeared in, but presently the only way to obtain a seasonal trait is via existing items from the previous event, or through our December 18th event.
Chicoons that were made before v3 that is heavily based on ANY existing copyrighted, trademarked, or licensed characters or logos cannot participate in the species nursery or nursery-based events. They can be revamped once without waiting for the one-year mark. If you are unsure if your chicoon can participate in the nursery please ask a moderator.
Chicoons cannot be direct copies of copyrighted, trademarked, or licensed characters or designs. This rule includes any versions of copyrighted creations- including, but not limited to: stylized animals, (EX. Minecraft pig or Slime Rancher chicken), creatures that are unique to franchises (EX. Minecraft Creeper or Rainworld Lizard), characters from visual media, or designs made to mimic popular actors or influencers.
Chicoons cannot be based on real people, living or dead, with the exception of oneself. This includes Chicoons based on celebrities, influencers, historical and religious figures. Chicoons can be based on mythological figures (ex. Medusa or The Angel Gabriel) but not historical ones (ex. Sappho of Lesbos or Jesus Christ). Chicoons can have positions of power (ex. Pope or Queen), as long as they are not based on a person in that position (ex. Pope Francis or Queen Elizabeth II).
Chicoons cannot have copyrighted logos implemented into their design
Chicoons CAN have vague design aspects or themes derived from copyrighted materials [Example]. The Chicoon must be able to stand alone as its own, unique, design
Chicoon CAN have clothing or accessories inspired by copyrighted, trademarked, or licensed characters/designs. These accessories must be removable but is not limited compared to the chicoon's design elements

Transferring into and out of the Chicoon species.

Known as "chicoonification"/chicoonify and "de-chicoonification"/de-chicoonify
Information for chicoonifying and de-chicoonifying an artists designs can be found on the Chicoon Artist TOS document
With permission from the artist of the original design, a user can transfer an existing character into Chicoons and transform them into a chicoon.
Permission to transfer a design into the chicoon species should be a screenshot, comment, or TOS from the original designer stating that the character owner has permission to transfer the character in question, into a closed species or into chicoons. Any less will not be accepted.
A Chicoon that was previously not a chicoon can not be sold without the original design. Likewise, an original design that has been given a chicoon counterpart can not be traded without the chicoon version.
Chicoonifications are treated with the same context as MYO tokens (regarding edits, approvals, transfers etc.)
The original character design does not need to be directly translated into the species, changes to the traits or aspects of the design will not affect your approval for the transfer. ( examples one, two, three)
In order to remove a chicoon design from the Chicoons Closed Species, you will be required to fill out the correct form on the Archive approval thread. Designs removed from the species will no longer have permission to use the chicoon-based reference image, you will be required to have a de-chicoonified reference ready in order to fill out the form accurately.
Chicoon designs transferred out of the species can not be transferred back into the species

Creating custom chicoons or Chicoons for other people

Community members are welcome to design chicoons for each other as a form of design trade. The users, however, are required to have the myo/items necessary to have their chicoons approved. "Chicoon design trades" are treated as customs when getting approved, both chicoon designs need to be posted on the archive approval thread.

More information about Official, Retired, Pseudo-Official, and Unofficial companions can be found on the toyhouse profile provided above.
Companions currently have no purpose and are intended for character development and were made as a cosmetic addition to a chicoon.
Only artists have permission to make companions with unique traits or features. Users who are not Chicoon artists can only make standard companions using companion gummies.
Chicoon that come with companions are required to be traded/sold/gifted with the companion, they cannot be separated.
When fabricating a new chicoon (myos, adopts, or customs) Artists can give them a companion without a necessary companion gummy.

"Hall Pass" and infinite MYOs

These were given to a few friends or users who showed genuine
interest in chicoons back in 2020- before I had any plans to reopen the species.

Hallpasses can create myos usable by the owner of the hall pass, the myos [unapproved/tokens] cannot be given away or fabricated to give to someone else.
Users who own a hall pass can design custom chicoons for other users without needing to use a myo (similar to artists!)
Hall passes allow for any number of NR, Common, Uncommon, or Rare traits. But do not allow Event or God traits.
Hall passes do not allow a user to freely revamp a chicoon, these users are still bound by default revamp rules.
Hall passes do not give the user the ability to add new traits or remove traits from an approved chicoon.
A user with a hall pass has permission to make as many unedited companions as they would like
No more Hall passes can be given out
Hall passes can be used in place of a personal breeding if the artist is the owner of the hall pass

Thoren Steeds are a very large draft horse and moose hybrid, averaging 5.9 feet to 7 feet tall. They live very long lives of 50 to 60 years, and usually have two foals every 10 or so years until they reach elderly status at 45. The foals mature at 8 years of age, but are fully dependent on their mothers for the first 3 years. Thoren Steeds can be found in the misty forests where small swamps reside, usually deep into the wilderness. They have no natural predators. Bulls, or Stallions, have magnificent antlers that are used to rip up vegetation for roots and minerals, as well as shoveling massive amounts of snow, and even fighting. Berries and grasses are important staples of their diet. Cows, or Mares, sometimes have much smaller antlers though they're actually rare. Some lines will have cloven hooves.

They travel in large herds led by two males as well as one lead female. The two males are usually siblings and will shed their horns at different times to ensure the herd is protected. Although they are not agile they are exceptionally strong and can deliver bone snapping kicks. Stallions will chew each others tails to keep them short to prevent them being used against them when defending the herd. Some lines have developed or kept their moosey bob tails, making the chewing behavior less significant.
Foals are born spritely and fast but as they grow and mature they slow.

Hunted to near extinction due to the damage they cause, only a few herds are known in the wild. They are very hard to tame, as they are massive beasts that can deliver devastating blows from a single kick or head butt alone. However, few have managed the feat of using Steeds to plow, or pull carriages, and others have begun dressage courses for their more refined lines. Perhaps a Thoren Steed specific competition is in order?

Thoren Steeds can possess many of the genetics found in regular horses, along with passing on the unique Moose coloring. The genetic found for this Moose base coat is MooMoo, and is dominate over melanin (EE/Ee black) and eumelanin (ee chestnut). Dilutions and modifiers, such as cream or grey, can still affect the Moose base coat. Do keep in mind that base coat is what primarily creates the antler color.

1. There is no limit to how many Steeds you can own.

2. Owners are more than welcome to use their own lore, but please remember this is still a
Closed Species. Discussion of other species is not allowed as they operate differently and are not
related to Thoren Steeds.

3. Please respect time limits for adoptions! Players must wait at least a week before WINNING
another Steed.
This means you can still try out for multiple at a time. Artists should make sure their winning entries
do not allow one user to win multiple Steeds, even if their entries are stellar.

4. Designs cannot be transferred from the species, nor can they be edited.

5. Breedings can only be made by a Breeding Artist and cannot be bred out of the species.

6. Please message dragongoddest for potential staff openings.
There will be a proper Artist Search otherwise!

7. Since this is a Free species, Steeds can only be traded for other Steeds, gifted (no charges),

I have fallen out of love with these species, and recently I've had a significant life event happen that is going to limit my activity again here on CS. I've also been hired to work on a book with another author, so with those two events happening and one of them being a paid job, I'm going to sell the Hill Country Canines.

I'm accepting C$ or Pets, just send me an offer. All threads are included, so you can copy and paste them into new threads that you have control over so that you can edit them. Current staff are not required to stay, but you can request it from them.

Rules can be adjusted, and of course genetics as well. However, Please keep the name "Hill Country Canines". I can even include a discord server that is already built for the community if you so wish it.

4/9/2026 - The Country Club is now open for posting! And there is a community event going on! The Artist Search is also now open! We need 3 artists before May 1st!
4/14/2026 - HCC #001 is up for adoption! 4 more will be placed up for adoption as a soft opening. Remember, we are currently looking for artists and the Artist Search is open! The First HCCA Dog show will be on 4/28/2026, so all adopts will be decided by then.
4/21/2026 - After community feedback, the HCCA has allowed any pattern types to be allowed. This means it does not have to be natural, and can have fantasy elements to it. As long as the colors are allowed. A New color will be added by each artist that is hired.
4/22/2026 - The first 3 artists that are hired will receive 50C$ when approved. All artists will receive a Rare MYO slot for personal use after completing 3 adopts during the month of April or May.
4.28.2026 - The HCCA Dog Show has opened for their first show! Please refer to this post for more information.
