We do not own the concept of cats with wings.
You are more than welcome to design characters with the same traits, start your own ARPG's of the similar vein, and create your own NPC's for this community as you see fit; they just cannot be used or considered official characters within Guardians community without a proper transfer!

Depending on severity of the case, rule-breaking might result in an instant strike or ban as voted by majority of the staff.

Designs may not be transferred into the ARPG without permission.

MYO tickets cannot be 'co-owned', but the design that results from them may be. This is for individual users to decide when archiving their characters. Users cannot decide to co-own a guardian without the original owner's permission.

You may not make your own Guardian without permission.
With the exception of creating ONE founder, you must purchase a MYO ticket from the shop to be able to make a guardian, or otherwise earn the ticket from events.

You may not put Artist Entries up for sale or trade.
The Artist Search is strictly used to test the provided lines or try out for an artist position. Putting pre-made designs up for sale clashes with the Staff privilege of putting out adopts in exchange for some form of payment. This action will result in an immediate strike. Commissioning entirely new designs to be used as MYOs, however, is permitted.

Harassment and rudeness will not be tolerated.
Begging, guilt-tripping and general toxic and rude behavior are all worthy of a strike. Such behavior may include, but is not limited to: complaining about competitions in the Discord server, messaging artists to "show" them what your entry would have been if you hadn't missed out on the competition, posting self-deprecating messages about missing a raffle or a flatsale, and so forth.

Guardians staff reserve the right to ban any member as they see fit.
Bans may be permanent or temporary, at the discretion of the species owner and a majority staff vote. Banned users may not interact with the ARPG. They may not post in Guardians' threads or participate in ARPG-related activities such as take part in events, purchase Guardians or Guardian MYO tickets, try out for free adopts or create MYO designs. They may be commissioned to draw art of other people's guardians. They are not allowed to own any more guardians that they may already have and are not allowed to gift, trade, or breed their cats for other designs/items from the ARPG. If banned members wish to readopt their guardians to the community, they must give it up to a staff member so it may be readopted.

Art theft or AI “art” usage of any kind in this community is strictly prohibited.
This includes writing lore, entries to prompts, etc. with chatgpt. If you cannot bring your own original ideas to an RPG, then you should not be playing.

• Can I have cats in multiple clans and/or in multiple tribes?
  
  • Yes! The clans you create to keep your cats in and their lore is completely up to you, and you can have as many as you’d like for your own lore. Same with having cats/clans within multiple tribes.
    
  • Tribe affiliation events are solely based on which tribe your founder cat specifically belongs to.
• Are cat/bird genetics an aspect of this ARPG?
  
  • This is a fantasy world! The cats here can have any amount of markings, fun colors, etc. There are absolutely no rarity limits to the colors or markings a cat can have. Your cat can resemble anything from a common house cat to having rainbow fur with sparkles and stars and shapes galore!

Leveling up Your Cat


• There’s a lot of different ways to earn exp towards leveling up your cats, but one of the main ways is to send them out once a week on a hunt through this thread!
  
• With each level your cat gains, the ability to add a new set of wings is unlocked.
  
  • Adding any of these traits is optional; you just unlock the ability to add them with each new level
• You can only add wings to the cat which has earned them, or otherwise purchase the ability to do so in the shop

What are Roles?: Cats in the world of Guardians are usually assigned roles within the clans they reside in. Each role has a purpose, and can dictate what your cats can and can’t do within events and activities.

✧ Battling System



Battles/Turf Wars

Users send up to 2 cats to a battle or war for randomized results/benefits

The goal is to have a higher strength score than your enemy’s defense score. But if you don’t have enough medics, your guardians will go down very quickly


• Sending in Guardians increases overall strength score (determined by cat level)
  
  • Guardians with certain types of armor can additionally increase defense score depending on material type
• Sending in Medics increases overall defense score (determined by cat level)
• Monarchs can choose to increase defense OR strength score

Battles/Turf wars should be pretty 50/50, but that definitely won’t always be the case.

If one tribe is revered as having stronger cats than another, staff can limit how many cats are entered into the fight (as a way of saying the leaders of the tribe got cocky or smth) to make turf battles more even

Item Drops:


• Myos, edit items, currency, armor materials, exp points, etc

Amor

There’s 3 main types of armor, with different levels of defence


• Leather (+1 defense)
• Bone (+2 defense)
• Steel (+3 defense)

A cat’s traits, no matter their rarity, do not affect strength/defense scores.

Users do not have to draw a cat’s armor on to say it has armor - you need only the item proof attached to your cat’s archive.

Cats who have armor drawn on but do not have the armor item are absolutely allowed, but still doesn’t actually affect the cat’s defense score.



Tribe Bonuses (+5%)
Every 2 months there are special bonuses given to each tribe, with the timetable listed below:
• Sunrise Sea have exp bonuses in January/February
• Evening Valley have exp bonuses in March/April
• Fallen Star Forest have exp bonuses in May/June
• Dusk Desert have exp bonuses in July/August
• Moon Mountains have exp bonuses in September/October
• Twilight Tundra have exp bonuses in November/December

A: Typically somewhere around the first few days of the month! There isn't an exact schedule and restocks aren't always announced.

Q: Who can approve my MYO?

Q: Can I buy MYOs with C$ / tokens / pets?

A: Yes! All C MYO tickets have unlimited common edits.

Q: Does my Uncommon MYO (UC MYO) get unlimited common edits? Does my Rare MYO (R MYO) get unlimited uncommon and common edits?
A: Yes to both of these! All MYO tickets get unlimited edits of the rarities below the ticket rarity. For example, an uncommon MYO ticket gets unlimited common and NR edits.

Q: Can I add another edit to my cat after it's already been approved?
A: After a cat has been approved, you may not edit the design without applying the proper rarity edit item (you can buy these in StarClan's shop). All edits to existing approved cats must be applied via color-in and receive approval again. Be sure to fill out a "using items" form on the archives so your cat can be approved!

A: Our regular item descriptions are in StarClan's shop, and our event-exclusive item info is hosted here!

Q: Can MYOs be kits/apprentices?
A: Yes! You will be responsible for their growths, and the date that they can grow will be given when they're approved.

Q: What should I do if I want to add an edit that will only appear on my cat's reference once the cat is grown?
A: You should list every edit your cat, once grown, will have when posting the original kitten/apprentice reference for approval. If you do not list this edit, we will only be able to assume that your cat will have the default lines, and you will need to apply edit items for any new edits shown.

Q: When can my MYO grow?
A: Your MYO can grow from kit to apprentice 3 weeks after the MYO was posted, and apprentice to warrior after an additional 3 weeks! If you skip the apprentice growth, your kit will still take 6 weeks to grow to a warrior. These growth dates go by the time your cat was posted, not the time they were approved. Growths cannot be approved until the day they are scheduled to grow.

Q: Can I post my MYO's growths in advance / during the approval process?
A: Yes! You're welcome to post all three (or two) growths at the same time, to ensure all their markings and edits are accurate and won't require future editing or use of edit items later down the line. However, your cat's growths cannot be approved until the date(s) they're scheduled to grow, and you may not use their growths until the growths are approved!

Why do they have a worm companion?: On a dreary, rainy day, the gunkimal felt a wave of sadness wash over her. She longed for a cheerful, sunny day to frolic outside, but instead, she was stuck waiting for the relentless rain to stop, as she sulked she spotted worms emerging from the soil! Excitedly, she collected them to keep her company until the rain ceased. They played and played all day long and when the downpour finally ended, all the worms except one returned to the earth; this particular worm was determined to stay. It turned out that the worm had such a delightful time that it wanted to remain with its new companion! The gunkimal happily decided to let the worm stay and they became the best of friends.

➸ Simas are a Closed Species, meaning you cannot make one without permission or a custom ticket.

➸ Simas & items obtained for free in events cannot be sold for USD, C$, CS pets or any form of currency. They may, however, be traded for other Simas and Sima items. It must be confirmed in the Archive update thread before it will be a valid trade.



★ There are instances where a free Sima may have art attached to them which was paid for in USD. Only in this case can a free Sima be sold for money. Permission must be given by the species owner before this can happen.


➸ Sima kits can age after 3 weeks of being created, but cannot breed until 6 weeks after they are created as they grow through adolescence.

➸ Simas can be co-owned by a max of two users and with permission from the staff.

➸ As of right now, you may only own one Special Sima (ex; #50's, #100's, or a runner up of either). You may not be gifted one if you already own one. *Note that there are two users who owned multiple special Simas before this rule was set in place and have been grandfathered in.

➸ Simas may no longer be heavily based off of copyrighted characters. Any existing Sima is not affected by this and won't be forced to be revamped. *However, if you'd rather revamp, pm one of the species owners. (12/16/2019)

➸ 'Edit hunting', or trying to specifically trade a Sima of lower tier for a Sima with higher tier edits only is not allowed unless the user explicitly offers the Sima to you in return. You may not also 'hoard' Simas for the sake of trade fodder, as that is not what Simas are meant for. The same goes for items.

➸ Simas must always have a reference without accessories for breeding and archiving purposes.

➸ It is recommended that Sima owners have their Sima references saved in case of our archives being taken down without warning by toyhou.se or DeviantArt, or if the creator of the Sima deletes the original file.

➸ You may draw your own reference for your Sima, however, you must include a list of the edits the Sima has that is different from the main lines-- and the reference must be posted for approval.

➸ All Sima references must have a list of their edits and the rarities of their edits either on the reference or in the description. This includes Main Adopts, Nursery batches, MYOs/Staff Customs and transfers/agings.

➸ The amount of Simas you can own has no cap, but there are monthly limits.



★ You may only win 4 main adopt Simas per month. Rescuing a Sima has it's own guidelines and you can find it on that thread.

★ You may only obtain 5 Simas through gifting/trading/buying per month.

★ You can obtain only 10 kits per month from the Nursery, so breed wisely. Waiting to keep a kit until the next month rolls over is discouraged, but not illegal. A kit must have a home within a month of being created.


➸ Once you obtain a Sima, you may gift, trade or re-adopt them after a 1-week cooldown. You may breed the Sima after a 2-week cooldown.

➸ Remember, any gifting, trading, re-selling or re-adopting must be approved by a staff member.

➸ Artists may not discriminate against members of the community or make biased decisions in adopts. If an artist feels they might make a biased decision on a competition (whether you like or dislike a community member) or if an admin suspects it, another artist should step in to help judge.

➸ When making Join.me games or any thread-related games, you are not allowed to be in any call with members who are participating in the game.

➸ You may not force the Sima you're adopting out (free/paid adopt, an orphan.) to have a certain sexuality or a set way of identifying themselves. It should be up to the contestants trying out for the Sima. Adopts and nursery batches may have a set biological sex but should be fluid to change with a biological sex change item if it's available.

➸ Moderators assist the species owner and co-owners with answering questions, approving MYOs (legendary+ MYOs must also be run with the admins), handing out warnings, and enforcing rules. It is also your responsibility to help admins watch Nursery tickets to ensure the cooldowns are over and to notify the artist taking tickets in case they didn't notice. This also goes for watching tickets if they're taken on DeviantArt and monitoring cooldowns if any Simas are won over on that website.

➸ Nursery Artists have a right to decline tickets if they do not meet our guidelines, or under private circumstances which must be discussed with one of the species owners. Keep in mind the number of times legendary edits/rare edits have been passed by a parent(s) before you roll for it. If you open raffle tickets, do not do it multiple times in a row.

➸ Screensharing is currently allowed when making adopts and nursery batches and suggestions for nursery batches are only allowed in the instances where the artist asks for it. Even in this case, suggestions are to be taken with a grain of salt.

➸ A note: All staff who stayed active and reliable throughout the year will receive a special custom in place of their usual custom in the month of December.


★ The activity of the staff is judged by corviidae, and is a case by case basis.

★ This special custom contains x1 Mythical Edit, x2 Legendary Edits with unlimited rare and below edits. Must be approved by all three of the admins. It cannot be sold at this time and must be relinquished to the owner of the species or have a proper owner confirmed in the case of gifting.

➸ Guest Artists must get any Sima they create with edits approved by an official artist, mod, or one of the species owners.

➸ Guest Artists should create up to at least a mixture of 10 common/uncommon Simas before you make a Sima with a rare edit. After you make that rare Sima, the amount of common/uncommons you need to make resets.

➸ For all guest staff to earn their keep for the month, guest artists must make at least 6 Simas and guest nursery artists must make at least 6 batches.



★ You earn a MYO with 4 rare edits, unlimited uncommon and common edits, and potentially a permanent position.



➸ Guest Nursery Artists must get their batches approved by an existing Nursery Artist before being posted unless the batch kits have no edits.

➸ Staff have free reign of the type of competitions they want to create for adopts, but the earnings vary based on their work. The tier of the reward will raise based on how many batches/adopts/agings you do, which is a 3-6-10 rule.



★ -- the lowest tier Staff Custom are x1 MYO with unlimited rare and below edits. Must be approved by the species owner and at least one other co-owner before it becomes an official Sima. Earned after you make 3 adopts/nursery kits/agings per month.

★ -- Medium tier Staff Customs are x1 MYO with 1 legendary edit and unlimited rare and below edits. You must make at least 6 adopts, nursery kits or agings/transfers per month to earn this tier.

★ -- Max tier Staff Customs are x1 MYO with 2 legendary edits and unlimited rare and below edits. You must make at least 10 adopts, nursery kits or agings/transfers per month to earn this tier.

★ Low tier Staff customs may stack after earning them for 3 consecutive months and be redeemed for a custom with x1 Legendary edit. 4 consecutive months can stack for x2 legendary edits total and no more. Old staff customs are grandfathered in and unchanged.

★ Legendary staff customs can go for a max of $15 USD, and unlimited rare staff customs go for a max of $10 USD and no more unless you bought art for the staff custom for USD only and that art comes with the custom. In this case, you need to contact a species owner so we can discuss it.

★ Note: You may purchase x1 legendary edit in the store every 3 months to put on your MYO. Otherwise, you may only purchase uncommon or common MYOs from our DeviantArt shop.

Artist are NOT required to make adopt consistently, but by making a number of free adopt per month,, you will earn the right to create auctions, sales, and other currency or items from designing Luzcerno Mustangs.
Staff will receive one custom, and an item of their choice monthly.
All free adopts should have a range of rarities.

Upon posting an adopt, you can ALSO list them in the discord channel 'Artist-Pings'. There will be a small form of info to fill out listed in the channel.
Artist may make paid adopts. These can be flatsale or auctions. Auctions must close no longer then 36 hours after the last bid.
All paid adopts should be posted under the ‘Sales’ thread.

Adoptable Mustangs
Mustangs will be posted regulary for FREE adoption. All mustangs created will have common-uncommon rarities and edits, more-so being common. When events/festivals are held, you can look for higher rarity or exclusive mustangs to be posted. Artist will have a form listed for you to try-out, along with a prompt of some sort. Once you win a mustang, you can be added to grab a transparent with/without tack and companions, and color codes ONLY. An end-date for the mustang will be specified by the Artist on their post, entries after the deadline will be ignored.

Community Mustang Sales
Mustangs listed for sale are held by any members of the community wanting to sell a mustang they own from Luzcerno Mustangs. These mustangs will be listed for a price requested by the owner. The owner may require any type of pricing, that being any of these listed, USD(must be discussed OFFSITE CS), Da points(must be discussed OFFSITE CS), HM’s, Tokens, Tickets, Items, C$, CS pets, or Art.

MYO’s
Any user will have ONE free uncommon MYO. After this MYO’s are only accessible through tickets, the shop, or events/minigames. MYO’s are to be made by either you, a member with designing services open, or a member willing to create them for you. Keep in mind, members with designing services are open have their own rules and pricing.

[Artist Guidelines]
Artists are required to meet these guidelines.
• Artists must make at least 1 adopt per 2 weeks.
• Artists should not use rare+ traits without Owner or Admin approval. Exclusions of this rule are for 10 and 50 intervals of adopts. 10 (ex. #120, #130, #140) intervals are to only use 1 rare trait. 50 intervals (ex. #200, #250, #300) however can use unlimited rare traits.
• Artists must announce if they cannot meet the 1 adopt deadline. Artists must also announce if they will be taking a leave or hiatus.
• Artists who create more than 3 adopts in 2 weeks will be payed 15c$ for their effort and loyal contributions. Provided by the Owner or Admin.
• Artists are rewarded 1coin per adopt they put out. Coins can be exchanged in the shop for MYO tickets or trait items!
• Artists are allowed to give out runnerup designs for prompt adopts. Up to 2 runnerups can be chosen. Ask the Owner or Admin if you can give out coins or MYOs as a prize instead, though we have the right to decline this request.
• Artists cannot sell CC's for real money, only c$ or pets is allowed. Artists keep 100% profit from their adopts.
