To try to clear up any confusion:
To decide what level of fur edit a cat has, we count how many sections of the cat have had the fur edited. These sections are determined based off the boxes in the diagram image shown a few posts up. This cat has had the chest/head (one box), front legs (another one box), back legs (also one box), and half of the tail* (half a box) edited. That's a total of 3.5 boxes.
(* The tail counts as edited because it has custom-lined fluff, rather than the original tail fluff.
Here is an example of a fluffy short tail that does not have a fur edit)
Min fur edits should fill only 1 box.
Medium fur edits should fill only 2 boxes.
Max fur edits fill 3 or more boxes.
Since this cat's fur edits fill 3.5 boxes, their fur edit is max, not medium
To decrease the edit to just medium, you just need to remove the fur edits from one of the full boxes, bringing the total boxes filled to just 2.5 (which is close enough to 2 that it can pass as medium). The easiest option is to remove the fur edits on either the front legs, or the back legs. You do not need to edit the tail
