Show Name: All Hail The Queen
Barn Name: Hydra
Gender: mare
Extras: Personality wrote:This girl is the queen. She demands full attention and full respect of everyone. She loves to impress and flaunt her talents. She is the leader, although she is not physically aggressive, she is passive aggressive and will give you some attitude if you do not bow down to her. She comes across as uptight but is really a good girl who just needs some love. She's very confident and walks with style.

Background wrote:This girl came from the top of the line breeders known for rare coat colors and markings. She was rejected by her mother at birth which is why she demands constant attention from whoever she can get it from. Her foster mom was a caring mare who was always competing in shows so she wasn't around enough for Hydra's liking. I adopted her at a young age and trained her to be my Show Horse protege. She excels in the arena and is a dressage star.
Theme Song wrote:Formation by: Beyonce This song is Hydra's theme song because she is the Queen. She is so confident and wants what she desires. She will get what she wants. She goes hard. She takes what's hers. She's a star. She slays.
Nickname wrote:Her nickname is "Bey" as in Beyonce because she is the queen like Queen Bey. She rules the arena and likes being the ring leader and center of attention.
Meeting Orpheus wrote:When Hydra first came to the ranch, she had her head held up high and her tail swishing back and forth. All of my Walkers were at first confused how to adjust and greet Hydra but eventually they got along. When Hydra first saw Orpheus, she whipped her mane and flaunted in front of him. He seemed overwhelmed at first but wrapped his tail around her and gave her his undivided attention. In the pasture, Hydra would chase around Orpheus and when they would get tired, they would cuddle and wrap their tails around each other.
Her First Show wrote: (her perspective)
Okay, it's show day. Time to prove to everyone that I rule the arena. I have my trot and canter down. I know the course and my moves by heart. I have spent hours training. Who is going to stop me? I am the queen. I can do it! As I stood in my stable, waiting for my rider to come get me to wash me and brush me, I motivated myself and grew impatient. Eventually, my rider came to my stall and took me to get cleaned up. I love it when they play with my mane and tail. They pull my hair out of my face and it feels so good to not have it swaying in front of my eyes while I'm competing. Soon, my tack and gear was checked and loaded into the trailer. They put my halter, leg wraps, and blanket on me and loaded me into the trailer. I was excited to compete. I felt butterflies in my stomach and I was nervous but I knew that I would do well. Soon, we arrived and when the trailer was opened, light flooded into my trailer and I was unloaded. My tack was put on and soon, I entered the arena. I focused only on my movements and not on the sounds. My rider was calm and guided me. I kept my pace and didn't stumble or miss a mark once. Once I finished, I left the arena and waited the results. My rider and trainers came up to me and hugged me and stroked my neck. They were all smiling so I knew I had pleased them. Once all contestants had went, it was announced. I had won my first show! I had won First Place. They placed a blanket of flowers on me along with a ribbon and I was flooded with happiness and joy. When I returned to the ranch, everyone congratulated me and gave me all of their attention. I knew I wanted more wins to get this euphoria again.
Little Story wrote:(Hydra's perspective)
Through the years, I have won many shows. But, through the years I have learned that my true happiness comes from my mate, Orpheus. He has always been there for me and makes me smile everyday. When I wake up in my stall, I look over and see my best friend and lover looking at me. Although he is deaf and at first, it was very hard to communicate with him, I learned how to use body movements to communicate with him. Different amounts of stomps mean different things. I comfort him when he gets jumpy. His calmness and kindness has helped me become less uptight and more relaxed during my shows. He is my best friend and my protector.
Favorite Food wrote:Hyrda's favorite food is human souls, I mean cinnamon sticks. She loves the flavor and spiciness of them and how they turn sweet in her mouth. When she completes her routine flawlessly, she gets many of these treats as a reward for her hard work.
Her Favorite Place wrote:When Hydra isn't training or competing, she likes to stick by Orpheus's side and go lay under the oak tree in the pasture. Hydra doesn't have endless energy so after training, she likes to just relax with her love. Orpheus loves snuggling with Hydra. She doesn't seem like the snuggling type, but she is the best cuddler in the barn. Both of them aren't too fond of the rain so when it rains, they cuddle in the stables. We have a conjoined stall for them where dividers can be inserted when needed. They have matching red blankets that they adore.
If Hydra Went to Prom wrote:If Hydra was a teenage girl, she would be the one who seems so elegant and high class. The over-achiever who doesn't talk much to lots of people. She would wear a red, shiny dress with a slit for one leg. It would be classy, not cheap, and wouldn't be too flashy. She would pair it with nude heels to put the focus on the dress. She would do her makeup not too heavy, but just enough for her to stand out. She would do a cat eye and do gold eye shadow. She would do big, soft waves for her hair and would wear a diamond necklace with several stones surrounding one large stone. She would wear an elaborate diamond ring. Hydra would go with her crush, Orpheus and he would wear a red tie to match her. He would get her the most intricate and beautiful rose corsage. She would get him a boutonniere to match. Her dream would be to win Prom Queen so she could get that shiny and sparkly crown. She needs her crown since she is a queen. She would also love the attention. Her and her date would take a fancy limo and make a grand entrance. Orpheus would stick by her side and let her shine on her special night. A girl that pretty deserves attention, so he wouldn't take his eyes off of her.

If Hydra was a Flower wrote:If Hydra was a flower, she would be a lovely red rose with her thorns attached. She is gorgeous, yet dangerous and will strike if threatened. A rose is a symbol of affection and she definitely needs a lot of love and attention.

Her Crown wrote:If Hydra had the chance to wear a crown, she would wear a diamond crown that would wrap around her head completely. It would have the finest diamonds on it with large, glimmering, sapphires to accent it. It would be made out of 24 karat gold and would be worth a fortune. She would be extremely protective over it and wouldn't let anyone touch it or near it. She would keep it spotless and on a shelf in her stall. She would wear it all the time and show it off. She would march proudly throughout the pasture with her head held high and crown sitting pretty on top of her head.

Fears wrote:Hydra is scared of spiders. Her stall must be completely spider-free or else she will buck and run around in circles frantically. If there are any spider webs nearby, she will back up and stomp. I too do not like spiders so this ranch is spider free and that's how it will stay. The trailers are spotless and are cleaned regularly so lucky for her and me, there are no spiders in there. Once when we were at a dressage show, there was a spider crawling in front of Hydra and I quickly stomped on it because her body language had shifted and she had started stomping. I didn't want her to completely freak out and possibly compromise her routine or injure herself. The arena is also a place spiders would like to hang out in, but we spray animal-friendly pesticides frequently to prevent spiders from nesting in the arena. We spray all stalls and everywhere for spiders.
Poem wrote:A rose like no other
With no mother
A queen meant to shine
She'll never decline
She wears a crown of jewel
She will challenge all to duel
Her style and class
Will never fade or pass
Let me into your heart
I won't tear you apart
Show me your soft side
I know you're deep inside
You feel like you're drowning
But just climb that mountain
You can make it
Keep your fire lit
Let the ice melt away
Let's start a new day
Her Role Model wrote:As a young foal, Hydra looked up to her biological mother because her mom was a great show horse and dressage star. Hydra wanted to be like her mom so much that she spent extra time in the arena to perfect routines and become the top horse. Her ultimate goal is to get into the highest arena: the Olympics. Her biological mother went to the Olympics and so she wants to follow in her footsteps. Since losing contact with her biological mom, Hydra pushes herself harder and chases the ghost. Even though she's achieved so much, she wants more. It's never enough.
What she values wrote:Hydra values good old chivalry and acts of love. Hydra always appreciates a flower brought to her by her love, Orpheus. Her ideal date would be spending every second with Orpheus and not a moment less. Orpheus brings out the best in her and it really is a great relationship that they have. He treats her like a queen and she gives him all of her love and attention
