Sage grew up in a peaceful village, where he tribe had settled years ago after a long war with a neighboring tribe.
She was the daughter of the chief and was trained to be a healer by the elders. She had a relatively normal childhood
and once she was of age her tribe preformed a ritual know as " The Nature Totem Ceremony", where once a member of the
tribe became a adult the totem that best represented them was chosen.
I starts with everyone in the village going to a cave near the village where the elder would be waiting, there would be several stones each representing a element in nature such as Water and Stone. The young member would go to the elder and would pick a stone and after would find out what it meant and wear that stone for the rest of their life. Sage looked at all the stones which were all very lovely she was about to pick the Water one but the one shaped like a leaf seemed to shine and caught her eye.. she took it instead and looked at it curiously. The elder explained she was a child of the earth and those of the leaf seek peace, justice and have positive energy. She was happy with her choice and even found out one of the best healers and the leader who brought peace to their tribes were both of the Leaf.
Ever since then she has worn her stone with pride and has become a very well respected healer and is next in line to become chief of her tribe.
