Important encounter: Nebula Cael Narrator
The stars were out, stretching across the purple marbled sky. The moon was full, and the stars were shining. The sky was cloudless, but for Cael, everything was blurry. Tears brimmed his eyes, and dripped down his cheeks, flattening his fur and making him shake. His cries were quiet as he curled up around himself, tail tucked around his nose. He curled up on the balcony, watching the stars glimmer in the darkness. The bullies had pushed him today, into the river. He had gotten caught in the water and had badly injured his back left leg. He remembered travelling down, struggling to keep his head up above the water, as he can't swim. His eyes closed with the memory, and soon he was fast asleep. When he woke, he was back inside, covered in a blanket. He sat up, slightly confused, until he saw the sleeping female on the floor, head rested on her paws. Nebula. She had stayed up with him all night, to make sure he had no nightmares. He climbed out of the bed and nudged her gently with his nose, trying to wake her.
'Huh?' She yawned sleepily, her tired eyes blinking open to see him. 'Oh.. Good morning' She said, sleep lacing her words. Stretching, she pulled herself up, and smiled at him. 'Will you tell me what happened?' She asked as he shuffled his paws around.
'I.. I suppose..' He stammered before taking a deep breath and beginning his story. He told her from start to end what happened, and when he was finished, she was frowning. 'When that leg of yours gets better' She started, 'I'll teach you, how to swim'.
This is an important memory for Cael because it was the first time someone hadn't just said "It'll be fine tomorrow".
