Kleeare (klee-are) are a species of nocturnal equine found on the island of Nocte. Most of the predators on the island are diurnal, hunting during the day and sleeping at night. In order to avoid the predators, Kleeare have evolved to do just the opposite, sleep during the day and be active at night. Due to this, Kleeare have whiskers and large ears to help them navigate in the dark. Though their most notable feature is their bioluminescent spots, made of bioluminescent cells and hollow, pigmentless hairs. They use these spots for communication, similar to a firefly.

Story; Seneca loves showing off how clever she is, yes she does! And while Kleeare are nocturnal, Seneca like to be cheeky and show off how easy it is to be active in the daytime. Just like many fish in the ocean, her underside is white. And if a predator looks up, they cannot tell between white and the sky, so she is usually left alone. So Seneca takes advantage of this and likes to go diving (in shallow areas of course) for sweet sea grasses! Now, getting out of the pond is a different story...
