#225 Silver Dun

Postby EquineCountry » Fri Mar 11, 2016 8:49 am

Username: Isabella45
Show Name: A Touch of Magic
Barn Name: Midas
Gender: Stallion
Eye Color: Brown
Discipline: Reined Cow Horse. Midas has the agility, and patience that it takes to do this. But more importantly, he is brave and he trusts his rider to guide him well, just as his rider trust him to carry her well. When he first started out as a reined cow horse he wasn't sure if he could do it. Being that close to the cows made him nervous and he was sure he would give in to his fear and fail the event, but he and his rider practiced for a long time, and when it came down to it on the day of his first event, he knew his rider was depending on him and he refused to let his doubts take control. He performed very well and has enjoyed every event since.

Campdraft is technically a western discipline, this sport is strictly Australian and is a big part of Australia's western riding culture. A horse show without campdraft is like a dog giving birth to kittens, something just isn't right there. Sparky excels at this event and loves influence of 'cutting' in the event but his favourite part is when he gets to take the cow around the course.

Beaumont Collies || Suzzallo Kennels

You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting -
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.
- Wild Geese, Mary Oliver
