They Say That Chau Was The Darkest Of The Pack. They Were Not Wrong.
While the others are traditionally born during the daylight hours, she was not. Her name literally means "born at night". Her spirit was tainted by that. She is a natural leader, thriving off the weakness and fear of any creature below her. Scavenging is for the weak, for the outcasts and the rogues in her opinion. Having once been a medic, Chau has an advantage over other traitors: the ability to hunt, fight and heal herself without requiring the help of anyone else. More than anything though, she is bloodthirsty and has no mercy.

Why all the items?
The horn strings - Her horn strings were given to her by her childhood best friend as a parting gift. He vowed that even though she had been exiled, she could always count on him, and he promised he couldn't ever forget her. She is paranoid about losing it.
The skull - To hide her face, to prevent others seeing her true emotions. Sure, it reveals her mouth and eyes, but there's more to expressions that that.
The beaded necklace - Although it's rumoured that this was given to her by a childhood sweetheart, Chau has never revealed how she received them. She only wears them to show her wealth.
The hidden pendant - Only the most observant viscets will notice the presence of the pendant, which is usually buried beneath the mass of other various necklaces. It was given to her when she finished her apprenticeship to become a medic. It symbolises to others she does know how to heal and treat injuries. She hides it to prevent other animals approaching her for help.
The string of feathers - She doesn't consider the feather necklace to be a necklace, and so she calls it the string of feathers. She only has it to brighten up her appearance. It was stolen from an unfortunate battle victim of hers.
The paw covers - Nobody really knows what animal these came from, except herself of course, as with the skull and tail cover (who knows, they could be all different). It is said that those who have killed or harmed a creature purposely have their paws and aura tainted with the scent of blood. The bones block this scent from transmitting from her onto another animal.
The tail cover - The tail cover is more of a sign to other animals that she is a rogue, exiled from a pack. It was attached to her tail the very day she was banished. She, unlike others in the same situation, actually loves the tail cover.

Chau's Favourite Sayings: wrote:
- Now then, sweet-pea, are you going to just sit there staring or are you going to come have some... fun. Let's play a game. You leave my territory or I kill you like the last person who dared set foot on my land.
- The sounds of knuckle cracking does make me smile, but bones breaking is definitely preferable. Especially when I'm to blame.
- Aw, don't cry. I've not said anything too soul crushing yet.
- Why do you hate the shadows? They only seem scary because they've betrayed you. I guess their too busy serving me to acknowledge you.
- Despair? Pain? I sprinkle that in my coffee. Tastes as bitter as the tears you shed.

She snickered gently, finding the fact that she had just been kicked out of the pack humorous if that. Chau padded through the darkness, her newly clad tail dragging behind her from the weight of the bones. The scent of blood still clung to her fur, but faintly. To think I'd been treated like royalty before that... incident... The female let out a hearty laugh, and the hyena bid the task of chasing her from the territory cowered away from the female, thinking that the murderous medic was mentally insane.
All of a sudden, she stopped. Her mottled body twisted to face those with the duty of removing her. "Appears you silly mortals forgot who I am. Don't come crawling back to me, tail between your legs when that foolish alpha of yours can't find a new place to stay." The two bulkiest males glanced at one another while the smaller males and females tutted. "This is my territory. You appear to have forgotten that." As soon as the words rolled off her tongue in a snarl, she was charging at the small group. She scratched the slowest two with her horns before whacking them straight out the way with the sides of them and then at the sound of their allies shrill shrieks, the remaining three ran with more courage than before, sending a cloud of mud and dust behind them. Within minutes, the area where the pack had been was deserted from the fear that Chau was going to attack the pups.
I am now a story they'll threaten the kids with. How I'll enjoy to see their terror struck faces when they're older. She scoured the area where the carcasses of the prey they ate was, the graveyard if you will. She took a skull from an antelope's skeleton and quickly dipped it in the river they'd drank from. Fitting the skull over her face, she whispered a few words in a hushed tone. "You've seen better days, m'lady. You can help me disguise my face though, my dear antelope. Protect me from their teeth and claws and let me break no bones either, or you'll be saying ciao to your siblings and children. They'll be joining you with Hades."
She Is One To Be Feared. That Is All We Know.
