Taking home
The engine rumbled and the trailer started moving. Being unfamiliar with the vehicle, Aslan stumbled a bit as the trailer moved. Andromeda giggled at his reaction, earning a childish grunt from the stallion. There were small windows on the sides of the trailer where he could see outside but it is too small to poke his head out. It was a beautiful sight, one that he has never seen before and he was marvelled by it. Long fields of vegetation, animals, poultry as far as the eyes can see covers the sides of the road.
"You've never been out before?" She questioned.
"Not really." He replied, eyes still trained on the view outside.
"Take it all in, it's quite a long journey actually." She replied.
"Wait, you travelled that long?" Azlan asked.
"Not really, I was on lease for a few days at a barn that happens to be about half an hour from where you were. My owner, and your new owner decided to just pick me up and go to the barn since my lease ended today." She explained. "But where we are going, Wild's Calling Barn is quite a distance from here."
"Are there many horses there?" He asked again.
"Mm...compared to others I've been to, not really but we're pretty tightly-knit." She continued. "There's me and 7 others but don't worry, they are all nice horses."
The stallion nodded and continued to gaze out the window while Andromeda ate some food out of her feed bag. Aslan got bored after a while and he slowly started nodding off. By the time he woke up, he noticed that the sun was much higher in the sky, signalling that it was probably afternoon. The trailer just turned in and he saw a horses out in the paddock slowly start stop what they were doing and observe the vehicle.
"We're here. Your new home." Andromeda said.
The doors opened and the lady came in.
"Alright, we'll get Andromeda out first." She said as she led the mare out and into the paddock to join the others.
Soon after, he was led out by his rope lead. He stepped out of the trailer and saw the new horses, his new barn mates. Golden brown eyes trained on each horse while they also looked back at him.
"Nice job Aslan. Everything went smoothly. We'll get you settled in and soon you'll be making friends." The lady smiled as she offered the stallion an apple.
Aslan happily accepted the red fruit and nickered the lady.
"Don't worry, Aslan. You'll love it here. It is different than what you're used to at Hyrulian Gypsy Barn but we have our own specialty and all that as well." She said as she hugged the stallion once more before leaving.
"Rhiannon." Andromeda said, approaching him.
"What...?" Aslan asked, confused.
"Rhiannon." She repeated once more. "It's her name."
Aslan nodded as she saw his new owner, Rhiannon help carry some hay bales into the barn. He's confident he'll like it here. It might need time to get used to but he will love it.
