When I first found Solar, I didn't know what to think I remember it as it was yesterday. I was walking out into my school parking lot when I tripped over a rock. As I fell onto the ground, the rock flew up, revealing the ground benath it. As I got up to investigate the hole in the earth, I felt something warm tug on my sweater sleeve. The small, lizard like creature continued to tug at the sleeve. I heard the honking of the horn on my mothers car as I quickly picked up the small animal. She was warm, cuddly as I held her close to my chest. Solar, I would name her. Because not only was she warm, but so was her heart. Solar was the one to bring light into my dark world.
