Why is Lamb with Wolf?:
Lamb and Wolf, despite their obvious differences, really do
need each other. One would be lost without the other.

Lamb, being one of an ancient time, knows nothing of modern
society, and sticks out like a sore thumb. With Wolf's help,
Lamb has begun to slowly fit into this modern age. Learning
meanings of new words, or new meanings of old words,
learning symbols, gestures, and just how this new society
works in general, especially technology. Lamb desperately
needs Wolf.

Wolf deserately needs Lamb as well. Wolf, while accepting
of Lamb, has no natural moral compass, much to many's
dismay. Lamb keeps Wolf from hurting others, both physically
and emotionally. Wolf is known for being rather harsh and dry,
resulting in many just avoiding her. That is where Lamb
comes to help. Lamb teaches Wolf how to treat others more
nicely, and with far more respect.
Personality:
Almost the exact opposite of Anastasia, Nukpana is someone
who displays every emotion he possibly can. He is deemed as
sometimes rather emotional, and doesn't mind pity and sympathy
from others. Nukpana is friendly, helpful and compassionate,
often putting the well-being of almost anyone else before his own.
He is giving, and is willing to give up almost anything of his own for
others. Nukpana is someone who dares not make enemies, and seeks
only friendships and positive relationships. He is hard-working,
and willing to put the effort into anything, especially friendships.
Once he recognizes you as a friend, you have no greater ally.

Nessa (and Faolan)

Postby Piefan » Sat May 28, 2016 7:07 pm

cis female age heterosexual

─【basics and meta】─

Username:
    Piefan, current non-owner.
Partner:
Name origins:
I have named this Viscet Nessa. Technically, it means "pure or chaste", but honestly, her parents just named her that because it sounded exotic.
Relationship:
Nessa and Faolan are, surprisingly, lovers. This isn't exactly a secret to many - they're oftentimes rather intimate with each other, and they always seem to be happy in each other's presence. They're often jokingly competing over one thing or another, be it comparing eyesight or trying to beat each other in a video game. They've had much influence over each other, and in some ways they just appear to be different people when alone with each other. For example, as opposed to the "strong, sassy woman" persona she presents in public, she tends to be a lot more open and emotional toward Faolan.
─【the physical】─

Build:
She stands at 7'4" (~2.2m) - which is to say she's short, at almost 10 inches than the average Viscet. That having been said, she's quite average where weight goes, at 300 pounds (136kg). Her limbs are somewhat thick with muscle, though it's not particularly noticeable.
Fur texture:
Her fur can be effectively summarised as "fluffy". Thick, long, and soft, its texture is akin to a kitten.
Accessories:
Most of the time, her engagement ring. She doesn't like to wear much apart from that - maybe scarves and hats in winter, but otherwise she just grooms her mane and fur as well as she can.
Human appearance:
Light brown skin and jet-black hair make it fairly obvious that she's not local. Her large eyes are dark brown, almost black, and she sometimes has bags under them after a long day at work. She remains comparatively short, at 5'2", and an average weight.

Her figure isn't noticeably feminine, especially as she tends to wear shapeless clothing - sweaters, during sufficiently cool days, but also loose dresses and baggy pants. Sometimes she even gets away wearing scarves in summer. Nessa generally tries to balance comfort and her personal style with fashion and the current trends. Her wardrobe consists mainly of bright-coloured numbers, with the occasional pastel. Honestly, she owns almost no dark clothing.

Her thick hair is cut short for convenience, barely reaching her shoulders. Nessa ties it up in a bun sometimes, but generally she prefers not to.
─【overall】─

Likes:
  • Roti jala, being one of the only (and possibly
the only) ways she connects with her Malaysian
    heritage.
  • Musicals; plays in general, really, but especially
    musicals.
  • Running - she's been involved with it for half her
life. She does it unsurprisingly often as part of her
current job as a security guard.
  • Painting. Abstract art, mainly - she has an eye
for colour and a vibrant, yet not gaudy, style that
sets her apart. She doesn't have the motivation or
many of the materials for more structured
paintings, despite having the capability. She does
make them sometimes, though, to earn money.
  • Sleep. She's not lazy, not by a long shot, and she
can go a surprisingly long time without it, but she
    enjoys it regardless.
Dislikes:
  • Philosophy. She doesn't so much hate it
as she does get frustrated by it, though. Her
mother's into philosophy, and often tries to teach
her about it, but it's much too complex for her.
  • Flight. She gets obscenely airsick.
  • Monotony tends to annoy and bore her.
  • Having no control over a given situation. She
considers herself independent, and so she can't
stand someone else being in charge.
  • Getting wet - her fur makes it uncomfortable,
and means moving while wet feels extremely
awkward. Like wearing a heavy harness
    everywhere.

Occupation:
Security guard at a nearby mall.
Personality:
Nessa's an energetic person, in more ways than one. In addition to the fact that she seems to be capable of running on almost no sleep, she's lively and spirited. She inevitably strives for the best in anything and everything she does. Determined, she's willing to take any amount of punishment for something she believes in badly enough. She often uses humour to lighten the mood, even when she really shouldn't - she'd probably make death puns during a funeral.

Hardworking, she has a strong sense of duty, causing (or caused by) extreme loyalty - to her family, to her country, to her friends, and to mankind (Viscetkind? Viskind?) in general. Though she's typically decisive and confident, she clams up when forced to choose between these, becoming extremely nervous.

Her somewhat esoteric moral beliefs often make her seem like she's not bound by any at all. She'll lie, manipulate, and judge people for completely arbitrary reasons, while at the same time complaining about people making sexist or racist remarks. She considers herself a good Viscet, however - sure, she does do things occasionally that clash with her own morals, but she tries her best not to. Never would she hurt anyone (especially not children) unprovoked, and she's a firm believer in civil rights.

Her stubbornness makes her narrow-minded, at times. She refuses to let go of old beliefs, even after they've been proven to be wrong. Because of this, she's not very receptive to change, and it takes her a long time to adapt to new things. Ironically, though, she's usually quite adventurous, and loves changing things around. It's hard to explain, but she has certain routines that she considers 'proper' - usually those that she's been doing long enough, or that she believes are beneficial - that she refuses to change, while everything else is up in the air.

Nessa can be prone to jealousy. She hates having people she views as weak or inferior prove themselves superior or even equal to her. She's been getting better about this, though, over the years - a fact which is magnified by her "mellowing out", in the words of some. Where once she'd yell and abuse others in response to encountering things she didn't like, she's been learning to keep her emotions somewhat under control, thanks to Faolan's influence. She still tends to let her feelings and instincts lead her, as opposed to logic, but she takes the latter into account, even if it does take the back seat compared to whatever her gut tells her.
prone to jealousy, often acts tough for the sake of sounding like a person you'd actually want to losten to, messed-up schedule. (practically nocturnal by now.)
History:
Though Malaysian by birth, Nessa took part little in the culture of her homeland. This wound up working to her advantage, as she had less to adapt to when, at the age of six, she moved to France. She had already been learning the basics of English - a required subject of Malaysian schools - which was all the better for her, even if she was still more experienced in Malay. Nessa, as she grew up, saw France as her home, knowing little of her birth country beyond scattered memories of everyday life.

As a student, she found herself somewhat popular, being sort-of a foreigner. Her faint accent and occasional switches to Malay seemed new - exotic - to many of the locals, which was only helped by her upbeat and open personality. She learned to speak French at a rapid rate; granted, she wasn't the most eloquent of children, but she soon caught up to her peers in terms of grammar and vocabulary.

Nessa soon gained an interest in sports - to be specific, track and field. Her slight, skinny build didn't lend itself to running - she was among the worst in her class at first - but she was persistent. Hours were spent on the track; her diet was adjusted, albeit slightly, to make herself healthier. There were plenty of inter-class sports events held by the school, and she hated the idea of being a liability to her classmates.

She improved, gradually; her limbs became stronger and her reaction time shorter. Eventually, exercising became a leisurely activity, rather than something she did because she thought she had to. After a year or so of practice, she actually excelled at it - her paws were still too clumsy and her attention too wandering to play many of the more advanced sports, but she could run, and do it well.

One day, she met Faolan, and she was thoroughly annoyed.

He was strong, fast, and precise, all seemingly by nature. He got so much praise for this, too, from the teachers - praise she'd been formerly receiving. She had to slave away for hours just to get a semi-decent figure for running, and then there was this guy, casually outdoing her. Heck, she wouldn't have minded as much if it were anyone else - at least they'd be able to use it. Faolan was soft-hearted and shy. What could he do with speed - run away from danger? Why did someone with no emotional strength get so much physical strength? It wasn't fair, he didn't deserve it.

She... well, she'd never admit at the time that she was bullying him, but she certainly was. Whispers and rumours, 'coincidentally' happening to be heard by him, 'accidentally' throwing his school bag (how, exactly, one could possibly do that at all is unclear) down the hallways. She hadn't technically been the one to start it - given his shy personality, he would have been a common target anyway - but she was more than happy to encourage it. It became almost a game to her, seeing how far she could push until he pushed back.

She felt like a jerk, sometimes, seeing him shrink back from the bullies and walk constantly alone, but she always found a way to justify it to herself. "He already got to be strong without trying as hard as I did; he doesn't need to be popular, tolo. That's the price he had to pay. Besides, it's his fault for being too scared to fight back."

This went on for some time, ending at last on one fateful day. She'd been wandering around the school during recess, hoping to find Faolan (she was bored, and heck if she wasn't going to use this time to rain 'retribution' on her enemies), when she heard his voice, surprisingly loud. Even more surprising was that he actually seemed to be angry, for once. She'd never seen him lose his temper before.

Following his voice, she saw him pinning another Viscet to the floor - one of her fellow bullies, it seemed. For a moment, she decided to step in. Unsheathing her claws and baring her fangs, she prepared to fight; apparently, he'd finally snapped. Well, that was good for him, but she actually cared about the Viscet in question, and she wouldn't let him get hurt.

She paused, though, when she noticed a crying girl not far from the two. What'd happened here? Curiosity aroused, and realising that her friend didn't seem to be hurt at all, she stood by the corner and watched. She could still step in later if she needed to.

She'd missed the bulk of the confrontation - all she caught was Faolan leaping off the Viscet, who scampered off, and then his almost immediate return to his usual shy demeanour. "Are you okay?" he asked her with a slight stammer. Unable to piece together what was happening, she turned around and pretended not to notice him when he walked past. Though he had to have realised that she was faking it - after all, his dark colours and glittering mane weren't exactly hard to miss - he didn't comment on it, perhaps glad for the reprieve.

As soon as she saw the girl about to pass by her, Nessa stopped her in the middle of the corridor. "What was that?" she asked. "Why was Faolan..." She trailed off, knowing that the girl would understand.

"Faolan? The black Viscet, right? He... was standing up for me. I don't know him, but... The other one was calling me names, and he..." The younger girl's voice was barely a whisper, many words lost in the ambience of the school, but Nessa got the gist of it. She skulked off silently, pondering this. It seemed so unlike him, to stand up for someone else when he couldn't even do the same for himself - she'd always seen him as a coward, in every sense of the word.

    ... Apparently she'd been mistaken.

The next day, she heard that he'd gotten two days' detention for his violence, much to the surprise of most of the people who knew him. She didn't have the time to seek him out after school, but she resolved to meet with him as soon as he was released again for recess. In the meantime, she spoke to everyone she knew - and a few she didn't - who had joined her in tormenting him. Honestly, most of them didn't quite share her reasons to bully him, and thus didn't care much about whether or not he was a coward. But she was charismatic and persuasive even then; in addition to her popularity and some bribery, she could convince most of them to stop bullying him.

The two days before she could meet him again felt far too long, even with that task. When they were over, it wasn't much of a hassle to find Faolan. She couldn't have changed everyone's opinion so drastically within a day, after all. Many still avoided him - it was just a matter of finding the spot that was surrounded by whispers. Eyes averted and head lowered (in a way that minimized how submissive she looked, of course), she told him of what she'd seen, and promised to help him out if ever he ran into any trouble. And then, almost immediately, she scampered off, suddenly finding the moment too awkward.

It was a few hours later, when she was at the tracks, that she saw him again, shyly approaching her. She blinked, bemused, at him, until he proposed a race.

    And there, their friendship began.

They were distant, at first - more of acquaintances who'd occasionally ring each other up or challenge each other to races. Their friendship blossomed, though, over the months, thanks in part to circumstance. Sometimes she'd need his help for homework, for example, or the two would run into each other during a free period. Eventually they began actively hanging out beyond the track. She found that they had more in common that she'd thought, like their mutual desire for justice (albeit somewhat different ideas of what justice is), and sense of creativity. Granted, they weren't exactly alike, but that was to be expected.

A year passed. They kept in touch throughout - arranging meetings on weekends, texting, and emailing. Gradually, she began to develop a romantic attraction toward him.

She didn't act on this, at first - she'd never exactly been the romantic type, and she wasn't even sure it was really love. For all she knew, that was how one was supposed to feel toward male friends, and crushes were a completely different thing. Besides, this was Faolan - he probably wasn't interested.

Eventually - after another year or so - she decided that she had to speak up about it. There was no harm in it, after all, and thanks to a couple of friends who happened to be (self-proclaimed) love experts, she was moderately sure she was right. Still, that begged the question of how to confess - they proposed romantic moments in parks, picnics, and the like.

Nessa, needless to say, chose the most anticlimatic path possible.

She sent him a text that said simply, "hey i'm pretty sure i have a crush on u. tell me how u feel kthx." It was simple, clear, and could easily be passed off as a joke if she had to. Besides, she wasn't a very eloquent person - trying to say much else would probably just result in even more awkwardness for everyone involved.

Days passed, and Nessa tried not to worry about the lack of a response. She hated feeling like some kind of emo teenager (she was 19 at this point, too), angsting over crushes, but her reputation could be at risk here. And her happiness. At last, she got a short message in reply: meet me at the park in 10 mins. She left the house almost immediately, eager for a definite response. When she arrived, she spotted him sitting atop the wall near the entrance. She climbed up to meet him, and managed to make herself smile as she greeted him, and he spoke.

His stammer had returned, but she'd gotten used to it by now. I like you too.. and I was wondering if you.. wanted to be.. my.. g-girlfriend?"

Her response was immediate. "Yeah." Then she paused, and added: "Like, I'm not really sure how this fancy romance stuff works, but I dunno."

"We'll figure it out together," he said, smiling slyly. "Bet you I'll figure it out first."

"Nope!" she singsonged; here, their relationship began.

She managed to get some money as a freelance artist, doing commissions for others in between a jam-packed college schedule. She didn't like mooching off her parents, as much as they insisted that they didn't mind, and while she couldn't support herself solely off that, it was an enjoyable way to get some money.

One night, after a particularly late class, Nessa and her boyfriend were walking through the streets of France, Faolan making puns and remarks about the stars all the while, when he suggested that they wander the park for a while. "I know a really pretty place I think you'd like," he explained.

"Sure, why not?" She'd actually been planning on going home, but it was still early enough that she could remain out for a while more.

He led her through the gate (heh, Faolan leading - a couple years ago, that might have just seemed like a joke), brisk-walking across most of the park until they came across a white gate, which he opened easily. True to his word, behind it was absolute beauty. Moonlight filtered through the trees, speckling the ground; sprouting from the grass were thick shrubs and flowers, a rainbow of colours. He showed her to a bench not far from the entrance, and she sat down, practically bouncing with excitement. This place was downright glorious.

Faolan, though, seemed nervous - granted, he often was, but he tended to be more confident when with her. "We've been dating for four and a half years now," he began, "and I love you so much..." She stared at him, bemused, as he closed his eyes. Then, to her surprise, he sank to one knee. "Will you marry me?" he said.

She was about to laugh it off, thinking it was a joke, when he pulled from his bag a small box and opened it. Inside it was a beautiful diamond ring, glittering in the moonlight. He'd gotten her gifts before, but seldom if ever so expensive - he wasn't rich, after all. There was no way he'd go this far just for a dumb prank. "Heck yeah!" she cried. Leaping up, she hugged his neck (he was still kneeling, after all) and gave him a quick kiss. She grinned cheerfully. "You totally should've let me propose, though. I bet I'd have gotten a better ring," she joked.

"Nahhhh.'' He poked her teasingly. "You definitely couldn't have. But I guueess if you don't want it, I can return it." With a smirk, he stood, holding the box up.

"No!" she gasped melodramatically, before lapsing back into her usual playful demeanour. "I bet there's a law against returning rings after proposing to someone with them. Anyway, I can't wait to tell my parents about this! They're gonna be so happy!"

"Mine too," he replied. With a warm smile, he kissed the top of her head.

"Hey, was your mother in on this without telling me?" She tutted with mock disapproval. "But really, I'm so excited! I guess I already said that, but... Still! Are we having an engagement party? I know you hate parties and all, but we could just invite your mom and your closest friends from wherever." Realising she'd started to ramble, she just laughed.

Name:Callisto Pandora, typically goes by Pandora more often though.
Name Meaning: Castillo was a name given to her randomly, but Pandora is where her name meaning hides. Pandora is from Greek mythology, and in myth, she was the first woman, and was made from clay. she was given a box told to have special gifts from the gods, but she could not open it. The last name Pandora was passed down in her family, as the box was never opened since a lock was put on it. Curiosity didn't plague the family as whoever was the current caretaker of the box traveled with it, and the traveling would keep their mind off it.

Why is Lamb with Wolf?:
If she had a choice, Pandora would not want to have anything to do with Phobos. Unfortunately, she didn't have a choice. Phobos, wolf, broke a box she had inherited from her father. To Phobos it only looked like a wooden box with a lock, which tickled his curiosity to the point that he stole it, but Pandora knew better. When wolf broke it, the material, or magic, sealed inside the box looked to two similar beings, as the box was typically used to form a tie between two creatures.

So, as you can guess, the box bonded it's owner, and the one who opened the box, Phobos. They are not with each other willingly, and Lamb can hardly stand Wolf's harsh and rash attitude. Sure, it could be entertaining to poke fun at Wolf sometimes, due to his hotheaded nature. However, even when Pandora herself does not set off Phobos, Phobos himself would get angry at the slightest provocations. His temper is like an active volcano. Since Phobos listens to his emotions more than he uses common sense, he is usually one for leaping into the fray without looking what situation he is throwing himself into. Pandora has to restrain him sometimes, to prevent him from doing anything stupid that would get both of them killed. Because, that would be really bad. Unlike most others, Phobos just has the ability to infuriate her easily.

No, Pandora does not want to have Phobos as her companion, despite the fact that he might be entertaining to poke fun at sometimes. The magic that was sealed inside the box makes them stay close together. It created two masks, one for Phobos and one for Pandora. Phobos got a mask that was the shape of a lamb, and Pandora got a mask that was the shape of a wolf. In a sense, they were magically bound for who knows how long. That is, unless there was a way to break the bond, which both of them were pretty pessimistic about finding. Basically, it was Phobos who got them both into this mess, though he seems pretty annoyed about it himself.
Personality:
Pandora is a fairly level-headed viscet, and it's pretty hard to run her patience down, unless you're Phobos, then it is pretty easy to break the thick rope that her patience is. Much unlike Phobos, she does not get angry at the slightest provocations. She listens to her head more than she caves in to her emotions. Meaning, she lets logic guide her actions. She does not make hasty decisions the way her companion, the Wolf does. However, seeing that they're bound together because of some stupid action that Phobosdid, whatever hasty decisions that she couldn't stop Phobos from making would usually end up dragging both of them down.

She is a very good judge of somebody's character, and has a highly analytical mind. However, even with this perceptive ability, she tends to watch that somebody first before making judgements. She observes with her watchful blue eyes and absorbs information about that person. Then, after gathering enough information about that person, she pieces the information together in her mind like putting together a jigsaw puzzle to form a picture of that person's personality. Her deductive skills augment the odd quirk that she has of assigning colors to a person (explained below).

She takes fairly well to new or odd situations, and take time to plan out a solution or how to act at the time of the situation. She takes time on plans or situations, as she doesnt want to ruin them, or make them worse then they are, even though she always has a sinking feeling it will all turn for the worse. What with her new magical bond (and it's not a good kind of bond) with Phobos, that feeling often turns out to be true. As soon as she lets Phobos out of her sight, something usually happens. And that something usually turns out to be bad, further proving that her feeling was right. Pandora tries to restrain Phobos from getting them all into a catastrophic mess, but the pessimist inside her keeps on saying that Phobos would soon just get them into a horrible mess again and again.

Due to her experience in handling the wilderness, as well as other not-so-friendly viscets she has met in her travels, she has developed a more careful nature. In times of crisis, she does not panic easily and is able to keep a sensible mind. She will not leap senselessly into the fray. She is cautious enough not to let curiosity take control of her, which is a very good thing considering that she was the bearer of the Pandora's box. It is also a good thing because the environment around her is filled with danger. Traps, poisonous berries, and many other things that could ensnare one's curiosity and drag one into trouble. With experience comes a valuable knowledge about handling the environment around her. As she travels, she also makes sure to take note of things around her and store them in her mind, so that she is able to utilize the knowledge when needed. Nothing escapes those double-ringed, blue eyes of hers. She takes note of every little detail. For instance, if you show her a strange leaf she has never seen before, she would study every little thing of it, such as the shape of the veins, the texture of the leaf blade, how long the petiole is, the shape of the leaf's edges, and so on.

Even with her cautious and level-headed nature, Pandora secretly harbors a love of the thrilling. She enjoys unpredictability, which is exactly the opposite of the boring, mundane town she grew up in. The white Viscet has an undeniable thirst for adventures and exploration. The fact that she never knows what is about to come fills her up with anticipation, although it makes the sinking feeling that everything is going to go wrong a bit stronger. However, despite that, she enjoys the pulsing feeling of fear and excitement inside her, and enjoys being kept guessing. She is not the "Dull Grinch" Phobos marks her as, though he might have labelled her as one due to her realistic and pessimistic nature.

Despite her 'happy' or bright colored fur, Pandora is more of a realist, and rarely gives a glance at materialistic things. Her tone of speaking can be quite harsh though, as she is not one to sugar coat any details. One could say that she is rather "brutally honest". Despite Phobos also speaking in the same way (only louder and angrier) when he is angry, Phobos seems to despise it when she speaks like that, for some reason. Pandora knows it, too, as Phobos is not one to conceal his emotions. His feelings about her way of speaking is evident from the glare he usually gives her, but she is not deterred by it. Her views are typically fairly pessimistic but truthful.
"The box, its gone, it is very likely i will never see it again."

Despite her pessimism, however, Pandora has a sense of humor, too. While she does not show it outright, she actually finds some amusement in poking fun at rash viscets, including (if not, especially) Phobos. Phobos is too impatient, though, and it easily sets her off just as much as (or, perhaps, even more than) it amuses her. There are other things she finds amusement in, too, but as mentioned before, she does not show her enthusiasm outright. In fact, her pessimism usually captures the attention of others instead of her sense of humor, as evident with Phobos's perspective of her.

If it isn't obvious yet, Pandora is intelligent. She might take time when forming plans, as opposed to Phobos's spur-of-the-moment plans, but when she does come up with one, there is a good chance it will work. Her plans have gotten the two out of some tight spots, though. The reason they got into those tight spots is mostly Phobos, but sometimes, accidents happen without Phobos needing to cause one. Her intellect have saved the easily aggravated viscet more than once, especially in the middle of one of his thick-headed antics. She relies on her logical thinking and wits most of the time, as opposed to brute force. Her fighting skills reflect her cleverness, such as the way she uses her weapons or sneak up on opponents who are preoccupied by Phobos.

When traveling, both Pandora and Phobos enjoy the exciting events that happen along the way, albeit in a different manner. However, their perspective of the rewards are different. The rewards of an exploration for Pandora are the experience, knowledge, and excitement she receives from the exploration itself, adding to her vast storage of knowledge in her mind. She would note everything about the terrain and environment she has visited in her trusty journal. As such, her journal is filled with diagrams and drawings, even if they weren't the most beautiful art pieces around. As mentioned before, she rarely gives a glance to materialistic things, such as treasures. Phobos, on the other hand, views rewards as materialistic treasures in addition to the excitement of the exploration itself. It is yet another difference to be added to the tally of differences between Pandora and Phobos.

All in all, Pandora is an intelligent, level-headed viscet who is mature and wise beyond her years. Her excitement in the unpredictable does not manifest itself in an uncontrollable flame. While she is a pessimistic realist with a sharp tongue and a harsh manner of speaking the truth, her rationality is valuable for both herself and her allies.Odd quirk: Pandora associates a color to people, as if it were an aura. Each one pertains to personality, and had nothing to do with looks. Take Phobos for example, he would be a dark red.
Red:Angry, easily aggrivated
Orange: Optimistic
Yellow: Intelligent,
Green: Conservative
Blue: Royal, Cunning
Purple: Gloomy
White: Pessimistic
Black: Rash

History:
Pandora was born in a small town, in which she grew up without many friends due to her harsh manner of speaking. The town was well known for its hospitality and beliefs in the "Pandora's box" Pandora's box was a box passed down for generation to generation, to a child of the village chosen by the elders, to take care of the box. The box is passed down to the most mature or secretive candidate. Callisto was chosen for this job, and was given the last name Pandora, after all those who held the box before her. The name stuck, and now is what she is mainly called.
Growing up in a small town bothered Pandora, it made her grow restless due to the lack of adventure and events. Yes, there were many tourists, but even then, none of them ever caused anything interesting to happen. Due to this, when she was old enough to take care of herself, she began to travel and visit many different biomes and places she has read or heard about in books or primary resources.
The first place she went to gave off a darker, more sinister aura, which sent chills and sparks of thrill through Pandora. This was one of the first time she caught a whiff of adventure and fear, and adrenaline rush so to say. It gave her a new view, making her a bit more careful, as well as more patient, since most of the viscets she saw in the area tended to snap easily to passerbys, even if it was just a matter of hearing you breathe.
After staying for a bit there, and gathering info from their library, she headed off to the next place, which consisted of a high waterfall, caves, and tunnels. The waterfall concealed a cave and to Pandora's dismay, her hair got completely drenched. She stayed in the caves for a while, hunting the small animals and eating the plants that inhabited the tunnels. She took note of everything in a journal, from the plants, making maps, and drawing the animals she saw, even if the drawings didn't look very good.
Although, this is around the time she had thought she had dropped the box as she was exploring more. Her bag was much lighter after she had woken up from a nap, and she went to search for it, although she had no luck finding it. She knew she had messed up in losing the box, but eventually gave up on finding it, knowing it would be found by another. What she didn't know is it was taken by another viscet though. A while later, she felt a pull, as if something was forcing her to go in a certain direction. That pull, lead her to Phobos. She tried to get away from it many times, but it seemed as if an invisible rope forced her to go back, dragging her along. Eventually, she let herself be pulled along by the force, anxiously waiting to see what's going on. Pandora finally saw him. Phobos Erebus was there, standing in the middle of a clearing surrounded by rocks. She was, at first, confused. She tried to go against the will of the rope, but it ended up dragging her back. So, she decided to check things out.
When she emerged from the foliage, her eyes instantly fell on the cluster of splinters on the ground, near the rocks and the dark viscet. Shocked, she opened her mouth to say something, but before she could form a coherent sentence, a bright flash emitted from the splinters. She felt something new pressing against her face. Pandora saw the dark viscet looking perplexed, feeling the mask on his face. He had a grayish lamb mask, with trails of dark purple fabric coiled around him. He also wore a mask on his snout with jagged, glowing blue teeth. She felt her own face and was shocked to discover a mask also on her face. Terror shot through her. She was right, after all. The box was gone. She had thought that she would never see it again, and she was right, though not in the way she had expected.
Pandora turned to the dark viscet to interrogate and berate him. However, the dark viscet snapped back at Pandora. So, inevitably, they started arguing, trying to get away from each other all the while. During this argument, she found out Phobos Erebus's name. Pandora kept a firm tone, with hints of sharpness protruding from each word. Phobos, on the other hand, kept shouting.
"What is that worthless box FOR anyways, Callisto Pandora?" Phobos yelled. "Tell me!"
Pandora had to fight back a sneer as soon as those words left Phobos's mouth. It was rather amusing and startling at the same time.
"Haven't you figured it out, Phobos Erebus?" she asked. While she said it in a slightly mocking tone, she herself had started to believe that it's true, making her terror greater. She studied Phobos's face and found that he, too, had started to figure out the truth.
They were stuck together.

Fighting Style: Typically, Phobos and Pandora will not get along, but in a fight, they seen to know where they belong, and act upon it. Pandora will take more of a long distance or a stealthy approach, depending on the opponent, and relies on Phobos as a distraction. She has a bow and some daggers, so depending on the opponent, she can adjust quickly to end it with minimal energy and injury.
Image

Territory: she doesn't have a set territory, due to her frequent traveling.
Likes:
Art: Pandora enjoys art, just not making it. She would stop to admire or observe anything that might be considered art. This is because of the lack of colors in her childhood home, which mostly had dull greys.
Rash viscets: she finds rash viscets amusing. They quick temper makes her want to provoke them. Sending them into a rage always makes her snicker or laugh at how fast they snap. Her record is ten seconds.
Phobos: Although she doesn't want to admit it, she admires Phobos. How he doesn't get hurt uch despite his nature completely baffles her. She also finds great amusement is doing the opposite of what he wants to do.
The Unknown: The unknown scared most people, but it gives her a sense of thrill and fear, two emotions she greatly enjoys. It keep her on her feet, and not lazy.
Dislikes:
Bland personalities: we have all heard of those Mary sues, Gary sues, or basic personalities. Those annoy her because they are so predictable, she likes to keep guessing, not make sure fire assumptions.
Butterflys: She does know why, but they always have scared her since a young age. It may be the bright colors or the rapid wing mkvement, but she has always dislikes them.
Image
If this viscet was a person, how would they look? If Pandora was a human, her hair would be fairly long, reaching a bit past her rear, and half of it pulled up into a braid. She would retain light skin, due to her white fur as a viscet. Her mask is forged, or molded, to her face as a human due to the bond keeping it there between her a phobos. She would be fairly short, only standing at around five feet, and her pessimistic nature would somewhat disapear, but rash actions would replace it. She would have a bow, but it would be a basic one made put of wood that she put together herself, as she prefers to hand make things over buying them, as it is cheaper to make them herself, and most of the time better quality.

    Why is Lamb with Wolf?:
Why "lamb" is with "wolf" you ask? We're not sure what the real cause of it is but let's just say that we are bound by that red string of fate that binds two together. It may seem like a Chinese tale of how two lovers are matched together but oh how it can mean so much more. See, the red string ties together two kindred spirits together, soulmates. It does not mean that they are lovers, it can mean that they are mutual friends, maybe even fated enemies, call it what you like. No matter, the two are bound forever, eternally by a single red thread, guided throughout their lives until they at last meet and develop a strong bond. The string may stretch or tangle but it will never break, this is why "lamb" is with "wolf", this is why I am by Agnai's side.

    Personality:
Akasha can be seen as a very kind and sweet viscet. That can be true but hidden deep inside that innocent angelic masquerade lies a sly , narcocynicalist. When she snaps this nasty dark side shows through and won't hesitate to show no mercy to enemies. She tries to be reasonable and pleasant, finding things that could be interesting to check out or discuss. Versed in the ways of medicine and alchemy, she can save your life or line up your doom. Socializing is none too difficult for her despite her past but doesn't like long topic conversations as she grows bored easily. Friends are something she sees as trusted comrades and valued to an extent but rare.

    History:
It is not uncommon for us to gaze down at an insect, unsympathetic. Occasionally we trap it and watch it panic as it tries to escape imprisonment. We often keep it like that, trapped and in fear, at least until we grow bored and weary of watching it struggle and we either liberate it or put it out of it's misery. Sometimes the insect escapes containment or rebels against us. I don't believe there to be another who knows quite as well as I do to be that bug. Imprisoned, faint-hearted, impotent, but not at all assailable. You don't seem to understand what I am saying, so I'll take it back a few years and paint the picture so you can attempt to understand it all.

I remember that I had just hatched the day I was taken. My parents were overjoyed, my mother had taken responsibility to bathe me while my sire went to hunt for food. After I was bathed clean my mother kept an eye on me while waiting for my father, my father never made it home. The sun began to set and I was shrieking from hunger so my mother had taken me with her to a strange place with small creatures that bore strange pelts they could remove and put on. We snuck past some creatures that seemed to stand guard thanks to a smoke bomb that my mother made with a leaf bundle, twine, and very fine dirt. We were out of sight as soon as we reached the fields as it seemed that these creatures grew their crops on bumpy hills like how rice growers like their rice paddies. My mother and I feasted on what was ripe, I especially due to an empty stomach. It wasn't long though before the creatures showed up with long pointed sticks and strange branches, when they did my mother became angry and roared at them. The next thing I knew my mother and the strange creatures were fighting. I was frozen in fear but somehow managed to get away after my mother silenced one of the creatures. I was grabbed and thrown into a metal cage and I watched as they dragged my mother to the center of a village where a strange building was. She laid still and I knew she was gone, I was broken and angry and wanted to get back at the creatures but when I tried to resist them I was clubbed on the head and thrown into the strange building and locked up. A few years passed before I learned the creatures language and learned the term "humans" and the building I was locked up in was a "shrine" which was some sacred place where they worshipped a god. Even as time went by I was never let out of the shrine and the humans made me learn the art of medicine and how to read and write. I was always lonely and desolate feeling empty and like a doll put up for display in a museum. I did happen to get my paws on a few scrolls and books about alchemy and on poisons and such, the side of medicine the humans would not teach me. I only practiced them late at night when the humans were all asleep. Food, water, and whatnot were usually brought and at those times I could see a glimpse of light and something blue way up there. I wanted to see whatever that was since I was always shrouded in dim darkness with lantern light. you may wonder why I didn't use the lethal medicinal skills and the alchemy I learned and trust me I've tried. Every time I failed and got beaten with a stiff bamboo rod or picketed with a chain and collar so I couldn't go around the shrine as I pleased and eventually I gave up. I lost hope of escape and could only long for the blue that I would catch glimpses of, only knowing that I was a familiar, a pet, forever stuck in this shrine. At least until I met him.

When I first saw him, it was a hot summer day and I was lying down on the rough tatami floor gazing into nothingness and a couple humans had just left after my lessons were done for the day. I could hear faint crashes and shouts but I paid no mind to them. Then a strange unfamiliar scent wafted into the room then the screen door to my room was broken down and a large dark viscet stumbled in. Out of surprise and fear I bared my fangs until I calmed down that I slowly stopped baring them and stared at him in confusion. Things were silent and neither of us spoke and I guess things were a little awkward. Then he attempted to speak, his words were jumbled, his voice hoarse yet deep but I could understand what he was trying to say.
    (To be continued...)

    "ωє σƒƒєя мєя¢у
    αη∂ тнє ¢нαѕє..."

    Legend:
"Legend speaks of a deity of judgement having two familiars/incarnations, one of mercy and one of chaos, the eternal hunters. They are separate but also one. Together bound forever by a single red thread of fate they weave their own web of red threads, inflicting 'judgement' upon those in battle. One offers mercy and quick painless release from the mortal realm while the other offers a crueler fate of slow painful death from the hunt. Viscets may be granted mercy from these beings more easily but humans are not as likely to receive the same kindness. Beware in the phases of the full, half, and new moon for which they are active the most. Should you wish to survive don the mask of wolf or lamb and draw the symbolic runes of lamb and wolf's mask followed by the chant 'Moon, moon, new, half, and full, allow this innocent soul safe passage through the day and the night. Hunters of order and chaos please overlook these helpless travelers who seek safe travels upon this day of the hunt.'. If neither is done carry a talisman with a moonstone and obsidian adorning it if you travel out of sheltered homes. Should the eternal hunters catch you only two things are offered, mercy and chaos. Lamb will bestow her blessing if mercy and Wolf will eagerly enjoy the hunt and his next meal. Beware of the eternal hunters of Wolf and Lamb."

    "ℓαмв σƒƒєяѕ ѕωιƒт яєℓєαѕє,
    ωσℓƒ σƒƒєяѕ νισℓєηт ƒιηαℓιту...."

    Territory:
Akasha used to believe that the shrine she was in was the only place she could ever be without getting into trouble for it until she met him. She likes to travel wherever she pleases as long as she is by Agnai's side. She doesn't really think of boundaries when it comes to going through places and even if it did the sky is the limit to anything.

"ѕнσυℓ∂ уσυ ¢нσσѕє тσ яєƒυѕє ℓαмв αη∂ яυη..."

    Likes:
Agnai, in what way we'll never know but we can assume as a friend or because he was the one who freed her. She likes stained glass and sea glass. She likes to see the sun and moon rise and set. She likes the beach and deserts. Likes stories of almost any kind. Lanterns and fireflies are probably another thing she likes. She enjoys asian instrumental music but won't turn a ear away to other instrumentals. That nice soft breeze on a nice day. She likes to explore places she's never been before. Her favorite thing to do is gaze up at the endless sky no matter what time of day it is since it was the thing she longed to see for a long time.

"уσυ тяιggєя тнє нυηт σƒ ωσℓƒ ƒσя нє ιѕ αℓωαуѕ єαgєя ƒσя α ¢нαѕє..."

    Dislikes:
She dislikes being pitied and looked down upon and treated like a pet or a low ranking subordinate as she would rather be someone's equal and will snap at a person if they try to put her or her comrades down. She somewhat dislikes the flowery time of spring as she used to think that it brought false hope and humidity as it feels suffocating and unbearable like being locked up. She also dislikes the winter especially if she's alone due to unwanted nostalgia of how strongly isolated and alone she felt in the winters being in the shrine. Basically she dislikes reminders of her past. She doesn't really like stuck up know-it-alls or silly people who think doing certain things is "cool". She doesn't really like humans and seems to be scared of clowns. She dislikes evil-doers greatly and those who seek to enslaves others and benefit from it. Her greatest dislike is also her two biggest fears: being locked up, and the dark.

    "ση¢є тнє нυηт єη∂ѕ
    α ηєω σηє вєgιηѕ..."

If this viscet was a person, how would they look?
Akasha would have a thin slender frame seeming weak and frail. Her eyes are dark and deep in color but seem lit up with mystery. She would lean back slightly when she stands idle holding one of her arms. Her clothes are either robes from when she was in the shrine or just something that matches her color preferences. She also wears the masked headdress from the shrine. Her hair is white and a a little ashy. Her hair length is a little long but they curl out like a viscet's mane.

"ωнαт ιѕ вσтнєяιηg уσυ ωσℓƒ? уσυ ¢αη тєℓℓ ℓαмв."
"ωнαт нαρρєηѕ ιƒ ωє вσтн ωєяє тнє σηℓу σηєѕ ℓєƒт ℓαмв?"

    Allies:
I try to make acquaintances but allies are rare and friends are even rarer. Agnai is the first viscet I had ever met besides the vague memory of my parents. Although I consider him my liberator, my savior he is my most trusted dear friend and ally. If the time came when he would be in danger I would do anything to keep him alive and safe, whether it's to offer my life or exchange my freedom for his, I would gladly do it.

An ally I can kind of put my trust in a little would be this strange glowing viscet named Ren...after close observation I discovered that he has two personalities that seem to oppose each other. His general behavior kind of reminds me of Agnai. I kind of respect how dedicated to his task of guarding he is and I have seen a nicer side to him even if it was for a few moments so I know that he can be caring and just hides it with a cold exterior.

An acquaintance I recently met is a daring lass named Kishi. She's quite a troublemaker and I kind of don't like the things she does. Sometimes her and her mate pull pranks and I happen to see it. But I can see how strong and protective she is as well as finding resourceful places so even though I don't really like her, I have come to respect what she's capable of and don't plan on underestimating her.

Re: Viscet #690 - Partner Comp

Postby Stårry » Wed Jun 15, 2016 7:47 am

Bump-
Reminder to all partners- Please keep in touch with eachother, I don't want anyone to feel they don't have a chance after putting in tons of effort because team coordination is a little off the end ;w;

This competition will be judged off of effort between the two, not just effort from one person.

This means I am more likely to look at a proper distribution of form length, art, and all the inbetweens in both forms, and compare them for what they are;
As opposed to seeing one outstanding form and even though their partners form was left blank, choosing that one as the winner.
