i created both of these. they are based on the poem, "to this day" (which is a poem project created to end bullying and promote self-worth, you can find it on youtube). these are meant to represent vance and is eagerness to spread positivity throughout his community. vance always wants to make someone feel a little better, and he tries to keep people going, and forget about the negatives in life.

like ca·fé au lait
luminous blue eyes that love
a face that smiles bright

took away the pain he felt
and opened his wings

the two haikus were made by me;
the first haiku defined how his appearance caught my eyes. ca·fé au lait, which translates to "coffee with milk" in french, desribes the brown colors of his pelt, and, especially, the swirls. the pelt reminded me of that moment where the milk in your coffee just spreads into swirls after you poured it. along with that, his eyes literally glowed when i looked at them- they are a beautiful blue color.
the second haiku actually defined his bio-
the first line signifies that his occupation was a writer- a very happy writer. his happiness and his smile seemed to "sing" whenever he passed by people. the second line signifies the dark days of his life- criticism from other viscets, bullies, and even gossip. he was a writer, but that doesn't mean that writers didn't go to school. it was a hard time. however, he "took away" the sadness by moving forward, keeping his head high no matter what. now, the third line defines the fact that kamina "opened his wings"- he finally found the freedom he was seeking during the dark days.

(you were probably thinking that kamina ended his life once you read the third line. no, he didn't, so i mentioned this just to clear things up in case if you were confused.)
