DAY FIFTEEN!

Now what?! // Apotheosis reacts on pure instinct. "Everyone inside!" they yell to the others around them, spurring the wolves to scatter. Dozens of paws scramble toward any building they can and rush inside. As they do so, Apotheosis gapes up at the eyeball. 'An eye. Perhaps my lights will distract it and lead it away.' It was dangerous and risky, but there was no time for Apotheosis to think of a better plan. All they knew is that the creature had to be lead away somehow, so with that in mind they glare at the beast, brightening their tail and horns so that they are almost blinding, and calls out to it. "Here!" the Light Collector yells, lashing their tail to gain the monster's attention. The eyeball glares down on them as Apotheosis makes a run for it, the eyeball following. Apotheosis leads it back into the forest, away from everyone back towards where they had been not to long ago. 'Oh please be here!' The monster just on their tail, Apotheosis sprints for their life before coming to a halt. Before them was the great shadow creature from before, which turns to look at them before it's attention shifts. The eyeball also stops, glaring at the creature and, regarding each other as bigger threats than the LC below them, they let out vicious howls of battle and lunge at each other. Amid the fray Apotheosis sneaks away and escapes back to the village square, fur ruffled and out of breath. 'I can't believe that worked.' they think thankfully.

DAY SIXTEEN!

Now what? // Apotheosis watches closely, noticing the face behind the monster before a loud boom nearly bursts their eardrums and the monster disappears out of sight. The light collector flicks its ears, temporarily speechless at the sheer amount of odd happenings that have spurred on their night. They didn't really know what to think or do from here, certainly not head back out, but if they couldn't leave, then how would they return home? 'It's unlikely anything useful lays in the woods beyond.' they hypothosize, 'but what of here in the village? There must be SOME sort of clue as to how we can return home.' With that in mind Apotheosis turns to the wolf nearest them. "Perhaps there is a clue here in the village they may help us return home." they chirp before moving to address the villager next. "There must be something, right?"

The villager shock his head. "It's always been that way! All I know is that the monsters in the woods -- they're candy monsters. They feed on sweets and their natural form is a candy-like creature, but they often shapeshift into other creatures! They sometimes come out the forest, too..." He said, then frowned. You looked at him "Awww, you don't think I'm one of them, right?" Everyone stared at the villager silently and then, he took off running towards the center of town.

Reactions? No what?! //Dove blinked meekly and looked down, she didn't like the idea of there being candy monster's out to steal her sweets which she usually stored in her bag. She shivered in shock... what if one was after her because of this?! Almost instantly after he took off running she blinked, "A-Ah... w-what?!" She gasped, was he one?! She looked around swiftly, she didn't think he was running from anything but their stares and curiously looked at the others on what they should do. "S-Should w-we follow?" She blurted out before covering her mouth.

Reactions? Now what?! // Candy monsters? Weird villager reaction? What in the egg nog else did this town have up it's sleeves? Like everyone else in the group, Tropica wanted answers! "After him! I bet he is one of them monsters! I bet everyone here is one!" The wolf flicked her tail wildly and gave everyone a suspicious look before trampling after the escaping villager. Everything about this trip was getting weirder, and Tropica couldn't shake the feeling that she needed to get her paws on some candy...

Reactions? No what?! // I caught up with the villager easily - he wasn't all that fast. Leaping in front of him and making him halt, I growled. I glared at him. "Listen here, buddy. We want answers and we want 'em NOW. Give us what we want and there won't be any problems, okay? Okay. So, here's what we'd like to know.
1. What is all this about the supposed 'plane of existence' mumbo-jumbo you spouted off about earlier?
2. Why is there a glass wall that seems to surround every single area we explore?
3. If there's a way in, there's a way out. How do we get out of here?
4. If you're really not one of those candy monsters as you claim, why are you running away from us? What's got you so spooked?"
I stopped, my gaze cold on the wolf in front of me. "Comply, or I won't hesitate to pick a fight with you." I took one step forward, my voice dropping to a lower volume and pitch. My face was inches from his. "And if I were you, I wouldn't pick a fight with somebody like me."

Wait wait wait. WHAT? Choward was completely unready for this plot twist. "The villagers are candy wolves.... and the monsters are candy creatures.... That means that either the candy wolves ARE the candy monsters, OR the candy monsters eat the poor candy wolves. Further polite conversation is required at once!" He started running after the stranger. "Wait! Come back! We won't hurt you!"

It took Clovis a long while to recover from their panic attack. Just as they staggered to their feet, they heard the crunching of snow underfoot. The villager was... fleeing. Right after saying they weren't one of them. Naturally, they wanted to run after the stranger, but they noticed that they ran into the middle of the village, where they could more easily be caught. They thought it had to be a trap, but... maybe it was just their paranoia?
They watched the others follow suit. They were too disoriented and tired.

So, You run after the villager with the rest of the odd pack you had gotten stuck with; not that any of you were gaining on him. You start pushing your way through, making a not to apologize later, and try getting closer to the villager in order to knock him down by pouncing on him and - hopefully - get some solid answers.
