Name: Kestrel (Kes as a nickname)

What does (s)he use the items for?: Treasure hunting/ruin exploring, Kestrel uses the goggles and bandanna so no dust/debris finds its way into his eyes when exploring/digging through ruins and dungeons and such. The gloves help him dig deeper without injuring his paws, while the padding on his legs is used to help him better turning at corners and to protect his paw pads when doing so, when he's activated traps and such. Lastly, the spiked brace on his tail is used to thwart anything away from him, as a defensive maneuver, such as arrow traps activated while exploring ruins, alternatively, it can be used to whack small prey, as an easier/quicker way to hunt.

How did they come by/receive the items?: He made and received them from his grandfather, one of the most well-known treasure hunter in the world.
Extra(s): Kestrel is very smart, brave, friendly and creative. When he was young, hearing his grandfather talk about all his journeys and thrills from being a treasure hunter in his days, he was inspired to explore ruins for treasure and just generally for the thrill. The first time he went into the ruins, he was too young so his grandfather came along with him. He was overjoyed and mesmerized, causing his grandfather trouble in keeping him away from the more dangerous parts of the ruins, which being Kestrel, is exactly what he did. Luck shined on him that day, even though he was alone and in danger, he still put on a brave face and had faith in himself he'd make it out. He wasn't so worried as he was amazed by the ruins, as he made his way back to his grandfather, miraculously but barely escaping the traps. Eventually he stumbled onto treasure, a vibrant red ruby, thinking this would be perfect to show his grandfather as a prize, he took it without realizing there was a trap linked to it. Kestrel's luck still didn't run out, much to his grandfathers delight at seeing his grandson again in one piece after all the noises he heard, he expected him to be afraid but Kestrel held the ruby up to him and told him he wanted to be just like his grandfather. Ever since that day, his grandfather took him to ruins for training until he was old enough to explore them on his own. Since the first day he explored one on his own, fearless and brave, his excitement for treasure hunting never left him. His grandfather had helped make some with Kestrel, the goggles being a hand-me-down from himself to Kestrel, he's never seen without them. With the help of self-training, Kestrel has gotten sufficiently more agile, intuitive, stronger, keener and better at solving ruins to get to treasure over the years since his grandfather stopped teaching him. Kestrel braves on each day to live to see the excitement of treasure, and his love for ruins has grown ever stronger since when he first entered one with his grandfather. He's gained friends who also love ruins and treasure themselves, and they all love to go with Kestrel whenever he enters ruins, making it all the more fun for Kestrel.

What does he use the items for?:

Abbadon scavenges among ruins, searching for pieces that may be worth anything. He often resorts to stealing things, and has a silver tongue, allowing him to talk someone into paying more. The claws are to keep his paws safe, but also an intimidation tool, often tapping them, which worries his clients. His googles are for when duststorms, rain, or wind appear. He doesn't want to ruin his eyes, which have 20/20 vision. But, he also uses them when he attempts to make machines that fly. All have thus far been failures, but he does attempt to invent such items out of what he can find.
He uses the bandana to hide his face from others and from dust and other things that could potentionally cause him harm. The tail spikes, he doesn't use often, but again are more for intimidation, and the wanting to scare his clients into paying him more than they want to. The wraps around his ankles, those are for support, as he has had problems with his legs over the past year, and he doesn't know why.

How did they come by/receive the items?:

Well, the googles he ended up stealing from a store, in which the vendor didn't even know they went missing. The bandana his mother gave him before she vanished at a young age. The tail spikes and claws he found while scavenging, and came to the conclusion of them being helpful to him. So, he kept them. The leg wraps he did buy, as he knew he couldn't steal them from the watchful eye of the vendor.

He actually hates this job. But, he finds this job oddly easy, and it is an easy way to make money. He finds himself very good at it as well. He can manipulate his clients into giving more money than they want. This involves taking parts from rundown machinery. Fossil hunting. Basically finding anything that is worth the time and the effort. Most of the stuff he ends up selling. Only occasionally does he keep some of his stuff.

Brief History:

Abbadon, or Abby as his parents called him, was born one cold, December morning. His mother and father remained in good terms with all those they knew, which was the reason no one knew why they could have disappeared without a trace. Everyone knew that his mother wouldn't be able to leave without her baby.
This sudden disappearance of his parents started a new chapter in his life, resulting in his occupation of scavenging.

"I had it covered... I know what I am doing..."

The gentle tapping of metal against wood echoed in his ears, as he leaned against the table. The sound of music was coming from the main room of the small club. "I do believe you would like to accept my offer. Is that right?" He asked, his claws now dragging through the wood, gouging small channels. The other viscet gulped, his blue eyes trailing the channels. "I do not beleive so." The other viscet spoke, before flicking his tail nervously. Abbadon moved towards the other brute. "Well, I believe you will be changing that. Right?" He said, his tail spikes gleaming in the pale light of the club. The other viscet shook slightly. He then moved quickly, pinning Abbadon against the table.

The voice shook Abbadon to his core. "Take it or I will leave you lying there in a puddle of your own blood." The viscet hissed. Abbadon shoved him off. He watched the other viscet. "I don't believe I want your offer." Abbadon said cooly, eyes narrowed. "Very well." The black viscet said, before gently tossing his head. Two larger viscets appeared. "I have a buisness to run, with or without you." The black viscet said, before the two larger viscets moved towards him.

Abbadon managed to knock the two viscets out, before giving a small salute to the black viscet. "Pleasure doing buisness with you." Abbadon said, giving a small grin as he waved one paw that held the pile of cash. He then bolted, sliding across the floor while heading to the door.

"Not once had I ever had a sale that dangerous..."

Abbadon's sales almost never go south, yet, one did. He gained a scar or two from that sale, though not enough damage to need any medical attention. He is rarely worried about sales like that, yet the thought of them coming back to get him is fresh in his mind. They came again for him, yet he could get away.

What does he use the items for?: Dakota uses the goggles to help his eyesight. They're very
sensitive, and he uses them to help keep debris away from his eyes to avoid irritating them.
Dakota uses the bandana to keep out dust and dirt when he's treasure hunting on rare occasion.
The gloves are to help keep stones from further damaging his paws, which have an infection that
render them hard to put pressure on and flare up if too irritated.

What does he use the items for?: 'Extra Protection' Read the 'extra' :3
How did they receive the items?: Afzal bought them from a store which sells things from bands, movies, etc. The gloves were supposed to be Freddy's gloves, the tail armor was supposed to be Toothless' fin but he ripped that part off, the goggles was from an old Amelia Airheart costume he found in his house, and the scarf was originally from that costume in a white color but he fabric painted it. The socks? He got some socks and cut the toe off.
Extra Protection?: Afzal has a severe case of paranoia. Ever felt that your computer will be hacked by playing CS? Or your plane will crash? That's some paranoia, we've all had it at some point. Afzal believes there will be a flash sandstorm or there will be a time where he'll be forced to go skiing, hence the goggles. Afzal believes all of a sudden it will get chilly, extremely cold, hence the socks and scarf. Afzal believes he will be kidnapped, better use those gloves to cut the rope! Afzal believes he will be locked inside, those spikes on his tail armor look handy to him.
Afzal is paranoid of many, many other things but these are the things he wears.
Does he ever take them off? No, basically never. Only on that rare occasion.
P.S For me, the glove claws overlap his actual claws.
