Day to Day Life:
Do you want the definition of an easy life? Well, your looking right at it. Sage's life is, overall, quite a good one. At school, he is incredibly popular, surrounded by group of Viscets. His athleticism and good looks bring him many friends, however not many of them are true. They only stay near him for the attention he can bring them, not because they like who he is. His home life is more depressing. His parents are constantly working, only seeing Sage late at night. For this reason, he is alone most of the time. This leads him to trouble, as shown below. He may seem like a tough guy, but all he really wants is his parents to come home, though he hates to admit it.

Story:
The light faded, bringing with it the warmth of the sun. The trees groaned, as if in pain, as the wind bent them over. A young Viscet saw all this from the safety of his Bedroom Window. It was half past eight, still three hours until his parents were off work. He sighed with unhappiness as the rain began to come down in torrents, showcasing his mood perfectly. As he brooded in self-pity, he didn't notice the knock. "Knock,Knock, BANG, BANG, BANG!" It went, snapping him from his awful state at once. Glancing out the window, he saw a group of about twenty Viscets standing in the rain, laughing and running around. In the middle of them stood a tall, lean creature, with a pelt the colour of steel. He held three perfectly round stones in the palm of his paw, smirking as he chucked them at the same window at which the sad young animal was sitting. "Sage! Sage, come down here!" He yelled crazily. There was something not right about him. Though he seemed fine, the crazed look in his eye gave him away. It was a look of fear. Concerned for his friends, he threw on a sweatshirt and tumbled down the stairs. Upon opening the door, he hesitated. It was pouring now, and the group was insane. Some were laughing, some crying, while others just sat there with a blank look on their face. The grey Viscet approached Sage, anxious and wide-eyed. You could smell his fear scent, rank and awful. He hesitated, glancing around before blurting, "You need to help us, Sage, you need to help ME"
Startled, Sage took a few steps back. "Wha, What?" He stammered, shocked. He was drenched now, with ran sliding off his tail into the ground. "They are insane, Bud. Absolutely insane." He answered. He gestured hurriedly towards the town before twirling around and taking off at a run. Sage followed quickly. What greeted them there stopped them in their tracks. Fire. Everywhere. Heat scorched his face as sweat began to pour down. Closing his eyes, he listened to the scared screams of the villagers as they stumbled away from their homes, heading into the forest. The town was deathly silent. Flames reached up high into the sky, dancing in the rain. There was nothing that could be done. "It was them. The group did it, Sage." The older Viscet squeaked, half to himself. Has he been hanging out with criminals? Would they really set fire to a town for the pleasure of watching it burn? As a human Fire Truck rushed passed him blaring it's horns, he experienced a life-changing moment. He could choose his fate. It was his choice, not the choice of the ones around him. With that, he struggled to his feet and began walking home.
