Oh my... hm...to choose just one... I would have to say that my absolute favorite part of her,
would be her eyes. They are so pale, yet full of life, and I have always had a thing for blue eyes ღ

"I distinctly remember the sound of it.
A sharp crack, like a bolt of lightning rushing past the haze of grey clouds.
The pain didn't hit immediately, panic did. The herd rushed past while I could
only merely stumble along, narrowly dodging the long and sharp horns of the oxen
as they thundered along. It wasn't too long before I fell, the pain in my leg
suddenly hitting me as I laid right next to the thundering, sharp hooves. They
say a broken femur is one of the most painful things you can endure. I can say
with complete honesty, that this is the truest thing I have heard uttered from
a humans lips.
It was hard to hold back the scream, but I knew it would not help my situation.
The herd would simply panic and turn suddenly right towards the unknowing
viscets on the other side. All I could do was simply lay and wait -no, hope - for
help. . .
It felt like an eternity though I know it was only a few minutes. The heard passed
with the dying sound of a passing thunderstorm until only a few of the older and
weaker ones staggered behind. I struggled to get my good leg beneath me and
steadily rose, only to fall back to the ground in a heap of dust. "Wonderful...
just... just absolutely perfect." I rose once more, but this time kept my fore paws
on the ground and hobbled like a three legged viscling, following the tracks of the
cattle. The pack couldn't be too far ahead. . .
I was wrong. Very wrong. Fast forwarding several days, I finally found a pack of
nine, but not my own. Most seemed a bit uncertain of me, but others were more
than happy to aid me. Recovery was long and exhausting, filled with sticky leaves
and sour smelling berry juice. My leg had to be re-broken once and then the two
bone pieces were held in place by a broad metal coil one had located near a human
camp. Through the process, I have to say that the one that I had grown most
attached to was the African Wild Dog patterned viscling named Tau. She was a
grinning ball of death, to say the least. She was easily entertained by some of the
cruelest things in nature, but somehow managed to see the brightest parts of it.
She had somehow managed to gain my complete trust, which none of the viscets in
my old pack had managed to do.
I never did walk the same. My left leg always held an odd stagger to it. Maybe that
was why my pack rejected me. Still, I don't see it as a bad thing. After the pack had
rejected me and moved along, Amaris invited me into their pack of nine. It was not a
hard decision to make, of course. And that is how I found everyone."
"Woah! Tell it again!" The viscling hopped about excitedly before diving and nestling up
against my chest fur.
"Tau, you were there. You know exactly what happened, and more."
"I like it better when you say it!" Her entire body wiggled excitedly as her golden eyes
gazed up at me in a pleading manner.
"Okay, okay. Last time though, alright?"
"Yes!" She curled up tighter and rested her head on my forearm, her eyes gazing at my
face excitedly as I commenced the story again for the sixth time this day.
