On the weekends, or whenever he has free time, Alistan loves to go about and walk through the woods, since he lives way back in the middle of nowhere. hiking always makes him feel good, so it's a tranquil thing to him, allowing him to have a sense of clarity and peace. He often takes Johan out with him, as his Hiking partner, kalariyn not too far behind him keeping a close and protective eye on him. Alistan loves to climb, mainly tree climbing. he tends to wear no protective clothing gear, just shorts, no shoes, but bandages around his wrists and thumb, along with bandages around his ankles and feet. when he's climbing kalariyn is usually panicking and climbing after him, since he doesn't want alistan to fall. which alis minds quite a bit. he often takes johan out with him, for that sense of security. much to kalariyn's dismay.

cooking is one of alistan's guilty pleasures. Andellean started this Hobby when they first formally met. it was in reality a chilly October Monday when they met, an Andellean was making pumpkin spice cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. Alistan had been on his way to school, hiking it as usual, kalariyn close behind, and came across the smell. andellean popped her head out the window and told him that she was making pumpkin spice cupcakes and asked if he wanted one. Of course, young Alistan didn't know how to make them and immediately said yes. when he tasted them, it were amazing. the eccentric tastes were unimaginable. he immediately started asking about her recipes and thus the love for baking was born. and he kept driving his parents crazy when he would unexpectedly leave the house and kalariyn would try to find him.

drawing has been something that calms him. like meditating. it's all how you approach it. weather to express yourself if your inverted or shy, or to impress others, if you dont know any other way. to comfort you if your upset, or to enlighten and humor you. it's all again how you approach it. drawing for him was another way of expressing himself. he loves to doodle and make arts and crafts. mainly on the walls of the house and on kalariyn's face. the most exciting books, things to humor you, upset you, and excite you all at the same time. books, have drawn him in ever since he was a small sima. books are his life, and he probably wouldn't make it through the world, if there weren't any hardcover or softcover books around. since alis doesn't use electronics much, he's not seeing how all the latest books are electronically produced now. but any-who, he loves locking himself inside his library (that kalariyn made) for an hour or two, to even a few days. all he does is read, and think, and read. he always checks out as many books as he can when he goes to the library, and rarely gives them back.

Personality

Alistan is a music lover, dancing to his own beat. even though the beat is abnomrally fast, he still keeps pace. with his turtle plush Johan and his violin Viola, nothing can stop him. he's a thinker, and spends most of his time with Othello. he tends to bug his parents too much and has a habit of biting his sister all the time. Kalariyn is Alistan's protector, and Alistan is his client. Kala takes it to heart that Alistan loves him like a mother. since Kalariyn used to be female, and is now male, Alistan has trouble keeping track that Kala isn't mommy, or daddy often getting the two confused. Alistan is passionate with just about everything from food to his extravagant love for music. Even now, at such a young age, Alistan is finding music in his soul. alis comes off as noisy, and loud. but inreality he's just a kid. a kid who can't help being loud and exploring things.


Alistan's Past

when alistan was a baby, he banged on pots and pans all the time, creating a racket that his parents couldn't deal with. alisan loves pots and pans, thinking of them as funny musical instruments, more than noise makers. he always gave his parents a hard time, and bugged his sister alot. but in reality, he has a really fun time.

Alistan's Present

alistan plays the violin. he's not quite good, plucking strings and chewing on the bow, but when he's old enough to head off to a prestigious college for young musicians, he'll become a star. he carries his violin around all the time, never leaving home without it. even if he's just going to the end of the street to play with the other kid simas. poor alis doesn't sing, but does like having music solos -- occasionally with vocals. alis plays for his family, plucking strings, making amazing songs in his head, but sounding not so good out loud. alistan has a dream, and he's working toward it. once he's old enough to keep his fingers on the strings and move the bow, he'll really being to perform for his family. alistan absolutley refuses to take a bath. it's something he hasn't liked since he was a baby. bathtime ruins his fun time. so he'll only take a bath for inferno or kalariyn. unforunetly not for his mother who he bothers CONSTANTLY that he's dirty. sadly, alistan ONLY likes listing to classical music (ie. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Johan Sebastian Bach - Ludwig Von Beethoven) he dreams of meeting them all, even if it's like clay models or in a museum. since he only lsitens to classical, he gets along with most... if they like classical music.

Alistan's Future

alistan's dream is to become a professional violinsit, and win an award for it. along with using his knowledge of music to study and become a musicologist --a teacher of music--





His major Influences

Othello:
alis is being mentored by Othello on the history of music and the Classical Music composers.

Mom:
alis is actually quite frightened of his mother, and it'll take awhile for him to warm up to her.

Dad:
alis admires his father. and loves to immitate him quite a bit.

Sister:
alis has a problem with chewing on his sister's ears. it so happens that it all started when he was young, knawing on them for fun. but now it's become a behaviroal issue. he will chew on inferno's ears and his mother's ears. a problem yet to be fixed.

Johan:
he has a turtle plush named Johan. after Johan Sebastian Bach, one of his favoire artists, one of three. he chews on her all the time. carying her around forever in a day and just loving her. even now, she's beginning to show wear and tear. but that doesn't stop this prodigy.

Kalariyn:
because kala is his protector, alistan gets to explore things, while also having the protection he needs and some outside help. alis gets to see things in a new way often and learns from kalariyn quite often. alistan wants kala to integrate himself into the family, and become his big brother. which kala or alistan's parents have yet to agree too.

Alistan's Body

alistan wears quite a few items, fancy dress, nothing laid back, and he only wears shirts that have collars and cuffs on them. he will wear just about any type of scarf that isn't itchy, and he will only wear expensive apparel that kalariyn buys him so his parents dont have to.

Alistan's Music

he doesn't mind his sister, but he babies his violin othello bought him. he wont let anyone besides Kalariyn and Othello touch it. not wanting to "dirty" it. alis creates his own pieces and goes to dance recitals to play for the girls [when he's able to pick up the violin and bow]

Because his momma is a trickster he doesn't like it when she scares him. Alistan doesn't take into account that his momma may like to scare people to get a laugh or try to be friends. But he still doesn't like it. Aside from that he loves his mother quite a bit, and even though she looks scary, he knows she isn't. He loves her to the ends of the earth and often brings her gifts or plays her songs to show her he truly loves her. Alistan gets defensive when anyone talks bout his momma badly, and he tries to prove them wrong by saying she does the scaring thing to say hi. Or going so far as to bring her mom to where he is.

inferno - "fiery dada"
His father is his idol. To Alis everything he does is amazing. From His plushies, to his fur, everything he does is cool. Even though inferno has that fiery temper, alistan will roll around following him everywhere. He often tries to sleep with him, and he gives his father the most trouble. Alistan loves his father and would happily defend his position, he thinks his father is the superhero of The century and he can do anything. Alistan's love of his father stretches farther than any other, and that's not a bad thing.

sister name - "mean sissy!"
By all means, his sister isn't mean to him. He's just jealous. His sister is taller than he is, and bigger than he is, and older than he is --by a few minuets-- he chews on her ears and blames her for things he did and she didn't do. He loves his sister a lot, and he often, when he's not trying to get her in trouble, will go and try to help her get over her fear. Not that what he does on his free time makes it any better, he will protect his sister with his life and even though he's the younger of the two, he would go to the ends of the earth to bring her back.

Othello - "mr. teacher"
Othello teaches Alistan violin lessons, and helps him Persue his dream of being a musicologist. Alistan really enjoys his new friend who bought him the violin. He talks fondly of the older sima and one day hopes to get everyone to recognize his love for othello and make him famous.

Adellean - "yummy baker"
Adelle is the baker and Alistan loves her cooking. He often bugs her about it and carries home goodies and treats to share with his family. He loves her warm attitude and often asks her about Africa.

Sopherix - "best friend"
Soph and Alis are two of a kind. Soph his kalariyn's little brother. And he is the best friend of Alis. Alis and soph get into a lot of trouble and end up getting disciplined by their respective families. Alistan is close to sopherix and doesn't want anything to happen to his favorite buddy.

Kalayrin - "mima"
Kala is the protector of Alistan, and he is his client. Just like his father, zsambix, he protects someone for a living. Kala chose Alistan for his spunky nature and he saw the troublesome look in his eyes. Kala heavily guards not only Alistan, but his whole family. He watches over their home and protects them all. Alistan just being the boss, per say. Kalariyn's job doesn't end until either he dies or Kalariyn truly cannot work for him anymore. And in other words, it's a for life contract. Kalariyn is highly protective over Alistan and his family, seeing something worth protecting. In the beginning, kala was born female, but had a gender change about a week into the contract, which goes back to the mima. To Alis Kalariyn is another mother to him, with or without the sex change. Alis loves Kala quite a bit and talks fondly of him wherever he goes, and the same goes for Kala. kala is a ninja and he trains with kobrak now and again, Alis tries to get him to teach him about ninja things, so he does. Which is where Alis got so good with tree climbing. Alis gets kala into more and more trouble but he loves his big protector, so to him it's ok.





The violin
It was a chilly morning when alistan woke up, curled around his father, inferno. There was a knock at the door, but it was still dark outside. Whining, Alis climbed down from the bed and walked out of the room. 'Who could that be? It's still dark outside..' Alistan thought as he scurried to the door. He opened it with difficulty, still not tall enough to reach the knob, unlike his sister. When he peeked out the small crack, he saw no one, all but a small case lying on the ground.

Alistan loved music, often watching his father play pokemon and listening to the tunes it made as you battled and talked ad explored. On the top of the case, a note was there. Alistan picked up the case, and dragging it into the house, he didn't realize his momma was there behind him. "Alis? What are you doing up?" She asked, seemingly wide awake. Alistan squeaked and dropped the case, the expensive looking case made a 'bang!' As it hit the floor.

Shaking he turned around and handed his momma the note, still a little frightened about the scare earlier. His momma sighed and looked at the note, reading what it had wrote:

Dear alistan, I brought you this violin as a gift. Your friend sopherix told me won't your love for music, and so I thought I'd buy you something to express that love. Let Kalariyn know I said hello, and best wishes to your family. - othello

Kalariyn appeared though the door, glaring at alistan. "You should be to bed, it's still early" he spoke quietly, looking from glitch to the case. Alistan smiled with glee and opened the case, ignoring kala's words. He gasped when he saw the brand new violin this othello was talking about. "It's so pretty momma! Look Kalariyn!" Alistan exclaimed as he jumped up for joy. He couldn't wait to try it out, and Thank othello for it, whoever he was.
