Name: Visc (Pronounced, Visk) (not from Viscet, I'm only now realizing this)

Name meaning: Since this Viscet reminded me of lava, and I recently had a trip to Hawaii to study geology, I decided to use a trait to describe lava to derive the name from. Viscosity is used to describe how easily or difficult something flows. Therefore, some lava is more viscous from others. Visc was derived from Viscosity.

Gender: Female

Personality: Visc is a very calm viscet who loves to have quiet time to herself. She is a very good listener to others and will always try to help out others in need. Her kind heart makes her open to others. She is also a very intelligent and independent viscet that can survive on her own without help from others. She is only a Viscet so she does get lonely! Luckily she has her pen pal, Flare, to keep her company.

Relationships: Flare is Visc's longest friend. She met him while he was on one of his ventures to Hawaii. They met in the forest along a walking path that Visc takes quite often (it gets her close to her home). Since then Flare has moved on to see other places but hasn't moved far away from Visc's heart. Since then they've been tight friends writing to each other often. (Flare the Viscet is owned by me!)

Lives: Visc lives on the black plains of Hilo, Hawaii. These plains were made from lava flows created by the underground hotspot. These plains were once dry fields of grasses and wild flowers but since have been covered by slow moving lava flows. Being forced out of her original home, Visc moved into the forests of Hilo. These forests were once vast lava fields but over thousands of years, rock was worn down and a forest grew. Lava tubes (hollow chambers/tunnels created by large, underground lava flows) remain under these forests that create an expanse of caves. Visc now lives in a secluded part of the forest where she has a lava tube of her own. Someday, she wishes to return to the plains she grew up in.

Likes: The plains she grew up in, volcanoes, lava, stars, lychee berries, olivine (a gemstone created from slowly hardening lava), black sand beaches, centipedes (and other creepy crawlers), and time to herself where she can just let loose.

Dislikes: Destruction, loud noises, storms, deforestation, bats, super hot days, and papayas.
