➳ Main Traits & Explanations ➳
Introverted // Viola prefers to be alone. She doesn't like or handle social situations very well. She's
extremely inexperienced in social constructs such as manners, and as such enjoys being alone with her thoughts
much more than being in a crowded area. It's rare for her to make a friend who she actually enjoys spending
time with, although she can tolerate a handful of Viscets living in her area, as she cares for their children.

Maternal // Viola absolutely adores young children. Although she is unable to care for an egg of her own,
due to a lack of mate in addition to spinal problems, she enjoys caring for the children of her friends
and neighbors.

Passionate // While Viola doesn't trust herself to get involved with matters very often, when she does
discover something that she enjoys doing she becomes very passionate about it. She'll often spend day
after day doing the same thing (e.g. caring for flowers, weaving flower crowns) simply because she enjoys it.
If Viola likes or loves something, she'll do whatever it takes to protect it.
➳ Personality ➳
Viola is a generally calm and collected but misunderstood Viscet. True to her motto, "Love all, trust few, do wrong to none", Viola would never hurt a soul. While she is kind to everyone, Viola trusts very few. Viola is extremely self-conscious and often feels misunderstood, but that rarely stops her from asserting herself to protect someone or something she loves. Vi gets invested in ideas easily, often leaving her bitter and broken when that dream doesn't come true.
Viola is passionate and ambitious, and has even attempted to change her personality several times. She's always self-correcting, likely due to her low self esteem, which is actually beneficial to Viola. When the other Viscets began invading her forest, however, Viola undertook her largest personality 'revamp'. Before the revamp, Viola was a bit of a coward who balked away from conflict. Vi challenged herself for months so that she was more confident and confrontational. Nowadays, this Viscet absolutely refuses to be pushed around. Not only did she go through a personality change, Viola did her best to train physically and is now battle ready, with a more defined and muscled build as a result of swimming against the current in a local river. Viola is a tough cookie and is significantly less sensitive outwardly than she used to be, but snide remarks, especially from those she cares about, often hurt her internally.
Viola has been through a lot in her life, making her a tough fighter willing to fight for what she believes in. Viola adores small children but cannot have any of her own due to a spinal disability, leaving her a bit bitter with a personal negative outlook on life. While she can be slightly pessimistic from time to time, she keeps these views to herself, not wanting to bring others down.
While Viola has many positive aspects of her personality, she can be cynical and has little patience. While she does try her best to help others, her patience wears thin quickly, and when she's having a bad day she has little empathy or compassion. Viola can be slightly jealous of those who happen to be more fortunate or lucky than she is, and Vi can find herself being slightly judgmental at times.
➳ History ➳
Viola began life as all do in this world - with two parents. However, that was the easiest she would have it.
Just days after her birth, the pack of Viscets that she called family was forced to move due to deforestation.
When she slipped off her mother's back and down into a valley during the migration, the pack held a vote. The decision? That they
should leave the Viscling behind so the others could move on. With that, the week-old Viscling was on her own.
Taken in by a strict single father, Viola was raised in a normal, typical pack of Viscets. However, their customs were fairly
different. As soon as she was deemed an adult, Viola was kicked out of her home to make her own path. She
never quite formed a close bond with her adoptive father, but she remains quite grateful to him. Viola made her
own way for months until she met another Viscet, Tove. The two remained friends for months before any sort of
romantic relationship formed, but once they began 'dating', or courting one another, Tove grew afraid of the
commitment and left Vi behind. Angry and heartbroken, Viola was left on her own once more, and undertook a migration from
her home forest in Canada to a much smaller and more isolated forest home in Brazil. Viola met her best friend, Pia, during the migration. The two get in quite a bit of trouble together and occasionally bicker, but always remain close. Recently, Viola's home was put in danger by a large group of Viscets. They continue trying to bully Viola away from her home as she does her best to fight back.

➳ Accessories ➳
Viola is not one for fancy jewelry or other accessories,
like some Viscets enjoy wearing, but she does wear two small objects. The
first is a small bandanna that she wears tied around her front left paw. She found it near a highway one day,
likely fallen from an automobile's window, and she has worn it ever since.
Her second accessory is of the utmost importance to her; A terrarium necklace hangs near her chest,
a tiny 'skeleton flower', otherwise known as Diphylleia grayi, sits inside. The skeleton flower is important to Viola, as she feels a special attachment to them for unknown reasons. When the skeleton flowers are exposed to small amounts of rain, they become transluscent.➳ Likes ➳
- Children // Viola is unable to
have children of her own due to a spinal
disability, but that doesn't stop her from
loving them. Something about the way that
young children are a "clean slate" draws her
to them, wanting to give a Viscling the best
childhood possible.
- Nature // Ever since Viola was young
she's felt extremely connected to nature.
She currently has a small garden within her forest,
where she cultivates numerous types of flowers.
She started her garden with some seed packets she
discovered, likely discarded by a lost hiker, and ever
since she's been caring for the flowers.
- Being alone // Viola trusts very few Viscets
other than her best friend, Pia, and tends to get paranoid
in crowded areas. As such, Viola prefers being alone with
her thoughts rather than interacting with others.➳ Dislikes ➳
- Crowded areas // Viola is extremely mistrusting
of other Viscets which, combined with having very little social skills
or experience, makes her incredibly anxious and paranoid in
crowded situations, going so far as to seem claustrophobic.
- Humans // Viola has only encountered humans once or
twice in her life time, but she has never understood how/why
Viscets could be domesticated. The fact that humans seem to
bring destruction with them wherever they go, in addition to
their acrid smell, makes her incredibly cautious around them.
- Migrations // Just the idea of packing up and leaving
the only home she's ever known, especially the idea of doing it

I Dare You - Bea Miller
➳ Why? ➳
The song 'I Dare You' has always been one of Viola's favorites.
Her forest just happens to be near a large row of townhouses,
and when Vi dares to venture to the outskirts she'll often find a
young girl there. The only human Viola's ever liked, the girl
frequently sits alone in her townhouse's back garden, playing
'I Dare You' from a tiny speaker while she reads. The song is
filled with talk about a change in personality, a theme that
rings true with Vi, as well as challenging lyrics that would call
anyone to action.

➳ Motivation ➳
Viola is motivated most often by protecting people or things she loves against something 'unjust'. Vi has an incredible sense of right and wrong as well as a need for justice, leading to some awkward fights between those who have done something unfair in her eyes.
➳ Hopes ➳
Viola's biggest and most prominent hope is to be better, hence her constant self-correction and personality revamps. She truly believes that there's always room for improvement, and as such is always hoping to be somebody better than who she was in the past.
➳ Fears ➳
Viola is deeply terrified of losing everything she's ever known. Vi is comfortable with the constant and despises too much change, hence the dislike of movement and migration. Her biggest fear would be losing her home and being forced to move away. Vi's second biggest fear is to fall in love and be left behind once more, as she was with Tove.
➳ Achievements ➳
Vi hasn't really achieved much this far in her life, other then beginning to chasing away some bullies... Oh, and she has a mini garden that she adores and raises by herself.
➳ Failures ➳
Vi's only real failure was once trying to grow Snowdrop flowers to grow in her small garden, all of which refused to grow. However, Vi considers the fact that Tove left her to be a failure on her part.
➳ Trauma ➳
Vi has suffered very little physical trauma, limited to a minor injury when she was an egg. Her egg happened to roll into a large rock, causing a moderate spinal injury to the Viscling. The disability limits her range of motion and flares up in cold weather. It affects her ability to carry eggs, preventing her from being a mother.
Her emotional trauma is a very small collection, made of her experience with relationships in the past. Because of this, Vi refuses to trust other Viscets more often than not.

I were to win Vi, she would be

➳ Why I'm Trying Out ➳
When I first saw this babe, I
know that I *shouldn't* try out
for her, since I have very few
Viscet slots left. However,
something with her just
clicked into place in my mind,
and I fell hopelessly in love with
the character design that fell
into place one evening. I adore the
character "Viola" has become, and
I'd love a chance to give her a
caring home.

➳ Relationships ➳
Tove || Tove happened to be Viola's first girlfriend, and their relationship
bloomed for over a year before Vi's world came crashing down. Afraid of
the commitment, Tove packed up and left Viola all alone, giving the young
Vi a pessimistic view of relationships in general. Nowadays, Vi lives far away
from Tove and will avoid dealing with her at all costs.
Pia || Viola has been friends with Pia ever since their paths crossed during
Vi's only move, from Canada to Florida. Pia and Viola's personalities seemed
to click and now the two are the best of friends. Because Pia knows Vi loves
children, Vi often babysits her youngest child, Emery, when Pia's busy. Although
she loves Pia dearly, Viola doesn't quite understand why Pia is so attached to her
mate, Cameo.
➳ Short Story ➳
Gentle rain pattered against the forest's floor as a silhouette moved
against the darkness. Hardly making any noise, the female Viscet slipped
through the foliage practically unnoticed. She had been traveling for
days, her paws nearly as tired as her patience. There was little hope
left within her being, little hope that she would one day find her
happy ending. A small ditch, covered partially by an outcropping
of rocks, provided limited shelter from the wind and rain that thrashed
the trees against one another. Brushing away leaves with her tail, the
Viscet finally uncovered soft, green grass before circling instinctively
and lying down. Before the warm embrace of sleep pulled her under,
however, a tantalizing combination of sounds forced her green eyes to
open, shining like beacons through the darkness that was clouded with rain.
Pulling herself to a stand, her claws gripped the ground as she ran,
something within the Viscet pushing her forwards with each step. The sound
grew louder and louder as the soft leaves and dirt turned to broken
chunks of asphalt, the covering of trees transformed to wide open spaces.
Her pace slowed as the acrid scent of humans coated her being,
covering the roof of her mouth and clogging her nostrils. All she could
think was the word human. Every clump of fur on her body stood on
end, but the Viscet pushed further. Large constructions, smelling of
bitter metal, stood in front of her. Planks of wood blocked the female
Viscet from what she had come to know as music. Peering through a fence
post, her emerald eyes found a young girl, sitting alone under an umbrella,
the song that had so tantalized the Viscet playing from a small object.
The lyrics, surprisingly recognizable, resounded in the Viscet's head, the only
smile her face had seen in weeks just dancing over her muzzle.
So throw away the key.
