The Tawny Owl not only has a beautiful feather pattern, but, as an owl, represents wisdom. The owl is the symbol of the Greek Goddess Athena (the namesake of this lovely tolter). In Athena's roman form, Minerva, she is a goddess of war as well as wisdom, meaning that she is not only very powerful, but also wise (a formidable combination, to be sure).
