First post prompt:
"It is the gatherer's job to notice."
If something is unseen, does it even exist?
(Certainly not in your universe, your existence.)
If left overlooked, does it have a name? A word? How does one describe something that does not exist in your sight, your memories, your thoughts?
Keep a close eye on the details of the world, the pieces that make up our lives.
It is the gatherer's job to notice the details of the threads and the canvas in which to paint.
But it is the larger picture on the canvas that also calls out for attention. It waits until it is seen, formed up from the most infinitesimal of details. The same details the gatherer must take the time to notice-
(Pay attention, now.)
For both the mighty and the miniscule are what the gatherer must be careful to collect and observe.
But until they are observed? They are simply void; a purgatory, nameless grey in the gatherer's existence.
A book without a title.
If you do not take the time to notice, the nameless fades from your existence, from history, from your entire universe. You would never know if it had ever touched your existing world, and you'd never know if it would ever touch the edges of your universe again.
Gatherers must learn to not only notice, but to define.
