“ meaning;;
------'you bury me', as in the hope that you will die before your lover as you could not live without them.”
This singular word is important to Ferne as, she is not just a gatherer of food, she is as well a gatherer of knowledge. Ferne loves this word as she has not yet fully comprehended the abstract meaning of it. Love is a foreign concept to her, as she is still yet young. But she hopes to perhaps understand the feeling the word is supposed to convey. In the Dunia pack, Xholi are raised to be firmly grounded in the world, to think logically. Most. Because of this word's meaning, the somewhat materialistic and logical Ferne does not understand it. But her nature is to learn anything she can, she holds this word important until she manages to comprehend it.
[in short, Ferne likes to know things/ understand things, as well as loves puzzles so she cannot let this one go.]

Name: Disir
Meaning: The name of Norse female guardian spirits of a particular person, group, or location.
Gender: Female
First post prompt: Retrouvailles
-This French word may be described as the feeling of happiness that accompanies meeting another after a long time apart. There is a certain, indescribable feeling that is elicited by such moments. The anticipation, then the sudden wash of relief and joy of seeing an individual after such distance and time apart; a moment that offers both nostalgia from past memories, and tremendous happiness for the one that is now before you. Disir treasures precious moments such as those immensely, so perhaps it is no surprise that the word retrouvailles has great meaning to her.

Name: Eulalia
Meaning: "well-spoken" (greek origin)
Gender: Female
First post prompt:
Tranqüilidade - This Portuguese word translates to "tranquility".
The gap between Dawn and Dusk's hunting sessions is what some woodland creatures may call "the calm before the storm". They claim it to be but a gift that they have that time to prepare. Although, there is always some animal that loses track of time and ends up being caught. The Xholi followed her pack-mates deeper into the forest, her senses alert. Their quiet paw steps were only met with silence and the occasional cricket or two. The forest was dimly lit with the last of the day's sunlight, which was slowly disappearing. She watched enviously as the hunters and huntresses shot out from the group to pursue a scent. A familiar sight caught Eulalia's eye and she crept closer to observe. After a few moments of careful sniffing and watching, she darted out from her hiding spot and began to unearth what she had been looking for, a squirrel's stash of acorns. Carefully, she carried them back carefully in her jaws. The Dusk's time to hunt was funny that way. One moment there could be sounds of paws pounding heard all around the woods and the next, a calm silence.

Medievil Slavic name meaning "to take, to gather, to reap"

The importance of Serendipity:
Serendipity - the act of finding things not sought after, the specific luck that is hard to translate in other languages where you often find something while looking for something else.
As an apprentice, I was taught that as a gatherer I must search the entire woods for the pack necessities and never return with an empty mouth. This exhaustive searching strategy took a toll on me and my fellow apprentices, but still everyday we would return early in the morning with the Shaymans herbs and new bedding for the hunters' den. However, one night I was hopelessly trying to find the right things. All I needed was to get a specific flower for the Shayman, but no matter how hard I looked, I found nothing. I plopped down on the ground to rest my head from all the twisting it had to do. When through the leaves in front of my nose I saw a small length of ivy. Though seemingly pointless, I stared at the short green vine, trying to find a use. Nothing came to mind but it felt like it wanted me to find it, so I picked it up and I continued my search. While looking for the flower I found lots of other things by chance that I knew were important, the softest most for the elder Xohlis' beds, herbs I had seen in the Shayman's den, sturdy twigs to give the pups to draw in the dirt with, and once my mouth was full I headed back. Back at camp I looked to see how the others did. All apprentices had a little amount of what they needed in their mouth, and one had the special flower herb for the shayman. I sighed with relief, until my Savant came to me.
"You sure have quite a load there Birati, were you sent to retrieve all that?" asked Savant.
"No, but I came by them all by chance and I know they are useful to..."
Suddenly a childish cry shrieked from the nursery. Savant and I rushed over to see what the matter was. Inside a little pup was crying in his mother's embrace and next to him was a broken toy. It was made from a dried gourd being tied to a stick so the pup could grasp it in its mouth and shake the rattle. The twig broke off and laid stiff next to the gourd. I looked at it silently, until an idea came in my head. I ran out to my pile I gathered from the woods and took out the small piece of ivy. I came with the vine and tied the toy back to get for the little boy. It was from then on that I understood the importance of serendipity and I still go out every night when gathering with the same ideal in mind, just see what you find while looking for what you want.

You guys have picked a lot of thoughtful, beautiful words for your forms!
After much deliberation, I've chosen our winner- CeruleanRush!
Their answer to the prompt is the idea that to not notice something causes it to disappear from your universe, which makes it important for this character to notice as much as she can to fulfill her job as a gatherer.
Congratulations!
If you have questions about your forms, as always feel free to ask me!

"It is the gatherer's job to notice."
If something is unseen, does it even exist?
(Certainly not in your universe, your existence.)
If left overlooked, does it have a name? A word? How does one describe something that does not exist in your sight, your memories, your thoughts?
Keep a close eye on the details of the world, the pieces that make up our lives.
It is the gatherer's job to notice the details of the threads and the canvas in which to paint.
But it is the larger picture on the canvas that also calls out for attention. It waits until it is seen, formed up from the most infinitesimal of details. The same details the gatherer must take the time to notice-
(Pay attention, now.)
For both the mighty and the miniscule are what the gatherer must be careful to collect and observe.
But until they are observed? They are simply void; a purgatory, nameless grey in the gatherer's existence.
A book without a title.
If you do not take the time to notice, the nameless fades from your existence, from history, from your entire universe. You would never know if it had ever touched your existing world, and you'd never know if it would ever touch the edges of your universe again.
Gatherers must learn to not only notice, but to define.
