Why is he wearing that collar, what does the gemstone mean?:
The collar, had a very special meaning to him. Though he cried every day, for many long months. Which to him felt like eons of loneliness. The collar, belonged to his beloved, the one lass able to tame his heart, and make his eyes see only her. Enchanted by her beauty, he began trying to woo her. Though at first his efforts seem futile, he never gave up. A few months would pass, his efforts only increasing to gain her eye. Once he did, he became the happiest Visect in the entire world of Kremanchi. Where true love and joy, were both a rarity. Naturally, their love gained the attention of the other Visect. Eventually, they planned to move to the forest and begin their own family. Cremesi was beyond happy, his beloved Lussari was finally to be his lovely mate.
They made their way into the forest, as Cremesi began searching for a tree in which to hide their burrow under. It took many days, but eventually found a beautiful tree. This tree was a hundred feet tall, and at least twenty feet wide, located near the top of a water fall, with beautiful plant life surrounding. Food and water just a reach away. The perfect place for a family to begin. One day, his beloved was feeling adventurous, so she went to the nearby cave, where she saw a glistening Emerald, that had a small diamond embedded in its body. Desperately she tried to dig it out, but only whimpers of pain came from her muzzle. She whined and propped a stick against the wall, planning to try the next day. Though when she returned Cremesi grew curious of the cave, and told his beloved that he would return, and that she must stay in the cave at night.
True to his word, Cremesi went to the cave, looking around for any disturbances in the ground. Suddenly, he saw the stick that Lussari had placed over it. Sniffing it, he knew it had been her, never able to forget her scent. He nudged the stick away, and began tirelessly digging at the area around the rock. Though it took him many hours to free it, eventually it came loose, and he was able to pull it free with his muzzle. Now he just needed to find something that would allow her to wear it. As he began exploring, yellow eyes would appear all around him, though he was on a mission. So he ignored all the fear that was screaming within him. After another hour had passed, he stumbled upon a human camp, and saw two large strands of Lionet. (A leather like substance, that is unaffected by weather and wear.) Snagging it up he rushed towards home.

Suddenly, a bear came out of the nearby trees and attacked him. Leaving a red scar under his eye, though he never once gave up. He defended his home and scared off the large bear, by letting out a terrifying roar. The Emerald fell to the ground, but only for a moment. After the bear ran off, he scooped both up and slipped into the burrow. Setting the three items on the floor of their burrow, her gave a soft growl, and looked to his beloved. "My dear Lussari, I saw the sorrow in your eyes and could not take it one more moment. Take these, as a token of my love for you.
Lussaris heart raced, as she purred and licked his cheek...only to find the scar that was now there. A whimper came from her as she felt her heart sink. Only to hear Cremesi speak words she would never forget. "It is worth it, knowing my love for you." She murred, and turned the items into a collar, in which she wore for the longest of times. Every year seemed like a minute to them, every minute a second.
One day a hurricane stuck their lovely abode. Their tree splintered down its center, their burrow filling with water, he told his beloved to escape, he would grab her collar. That they did, she ran towards the cave, and he snagged her collar. Running to the cave, they huddled together in fear as the hurricane raged on outside. But when the weather finally died down, a large mist came and took his beloved. Only speaking the words. "You will find her at the Spirit Tree." Then it vanished, taking Lussari with it.Letting out a melancholy howl, calling for his beloved. The howl falling on deaf ears, as it echoed through the forest. Heart-broken, he curled up on the cave floor and wept. Seeing that her collar was still there, he curled up on top it and let out a deep sigh. Thus, his journey to find his beloved Lussari began, he still wanders all of Kremanchi, exploring bit by bit to find her. The emerald resting just over his heart.
