Nysa is a sensitive, soft-spoken, yet intense little bean. Don't think that just because she doesn't talk a lot means that she's shy. She'd be offended, cause she really does enjoy meeting new beans; she just thinks that her twin does enough talking for the both of them. Sometimes it's true that she can get a bit nervous, but she'll always find a way to push past the butterflies in her stomach and at least say hello. Just don't expect her to say much more than that, unless you catch her interest. Stargazing, singing, and sketching hold high positions in the court of her heart, so if you ask her about them she'll happily talk for hours on end. Read more about her likes and dislikes here.

She has recently been figuring out how to read and write a little bit, so she persuaded her mom to buy her a journal for her birthday. She treasures it above anything else she owns, and would be equally enraged and embarrassed if someone stole or read it (or both). You see, she is a very emotional bean, but she hates expressing what she feels to anyone other than her immediate family. Like, if she is watching a sad movie that she really identifies with, she'll laugh and mock the characters, so that no one can tell how deeply she is moved. She's just too connected to things and is afraid to be ridiculed, since not many beans that she's met have that same strong sense of empathy that she has. Because of that, when she actually takes the time to try to explain herself, she gets frustrated if she's misunderstood and then refuses to talk to anyone for a few hours, until she's had a chance to cool off (see left pic). She dislikes confronting others about what they've done to upset her.

Another aspect is her honesty. She has a guilty conscience and can't stand liars, so she always does her best to try to tell the truth. The problem is, she can come off as a little blunt or abrupt in the process. This habit is a source of boundless confusion for her, as she hates hurting other beans' feelings, but somehow always ends up hurting someone on accident. She's still just a bit too young to see the line between rudeness and constructive criticism, but she's working on it. She's learned, from living with Orla, to be hard to anger, and quick to forgive. Thus, she's quite the diplomat and obligingly defers or tactfully leaves, if someone wants to do something different from what she's doing.

Despite what she might want you to believe, she does have a playful side. For instance, she likes wearing fancy, old clothes and acting out scenarios like weddings, coronations, tea parties (even though she despises the taste of coffee and tea, and replaces it with hot chocolate), and other "old-agey" things like those. However, she doesn't do many other girly-girl things (like playing with dolls), just games that are like role playing, which she thinks is great fun. She likes playing sports with Orla, but she's not as good as her and rarely wins anything that relies purely on physical skills. Off the field, she's as graceful as a dancer, yet when she does anything that requires her to move faster than a slow jog, she becomes hopelessly clumsy. She's just horrible at multitasking. It doesn't bug her as much as it used to, but you'd be better off not mentioning it, because it'll stick with her and put a damper on her mood. Not noticeably so, but just enough that it takes all of the fun out of everything. Words make a huge impact on her, but since she hides her feelings, it can be hard to tell that she's upset at all. As long as you're willing to apologize, though, she's willing to forgive.
