General Info
Chrysaora Basilisk are the prevalent equine creatures that inhabit the world Lucent. They roam by the hundreds, using their unique hooves to score the uneven rock and track down their most vital source of nourishment; evil. The relationship between Chrysaora and humans is a complex one. Chrysaora vocalize like horses, but are also thought to have a syrinx much like birds do and have been recorded displaying a variety of sharp, avian sounds. Their eyes layer over with a dark, murky black until their normal eye color pierces through in a great ball of electric light, radiating toward their victim's open eyes and paralyzing them. The Glare is able to stop both human and creature, and after a few days, unique to other forms of basilisk, the paralyzed being transforms into a sea nettle.

Story:
It was a dark night. Wolf could barely
see the lonely crows flying against the
black sky. Wolf's long legs thumped on
the hard ground in a slow sort of rhythm.
Tonight, he was feeling a bit more alone
than usual, and he longed slightly for some
company. Any company. As he was in this
deep thought, he did not notice the small
ferret curled up on the ground. The ferret
shrieked and ran away. But, Wolf was curious.
The little ferret was too; it's little white head
peeking out from under a bramble prickly
bramble bush. Wolf moved closer, slowly. Then,
much to Wolf's surprise, the ferret came right up
to him and scurried up his leg. It sat on his back,
seeming satisfied. Wolf was about to shake the ferret
off, but he wavered. 'Okay,' Wolf thought. The ferret
twitched a little in it's peaceful sleep. 'I guess that
he can be my.. friend.' Then Wolf strided out into the
night, a bit happier than before.
back to liquidate for flight rising.

Story:
September absolutely hated stumbling through the caves of Lucent at night, especially alone. For one thing, it was freezing, and he got cold easily; he hated the cold. He hated the weird creatures that roamed at night, and he hated the pitch darkness. He was already half blind, and relied on his sense of smell, hearing and direction. He hated how useless he felt sometimes. He hated a lot of things nowadays. He hated hating things.
He usually didn't wander off on his own, in fact, he preferred to stay safe and sound in his small herd. He wasn't one to be spontaneous, or crazy, going off on his own. But today was different. As him and his herd were making their way down a narrow cave, the one they always walked and knew so well, he had heard a call. Some kind of call for help, he supposed. It sounded strange and desperate. His ears flicked curiously, glancing around at his comrades, wondering if they heard it too. They didn't seem to pay much attention to it, and kept moving at a steady pace.
The cry sounded again, a little farther away now as the herd continued to move. September began to slow down, hesitating. He could tell which direction the sound was coming from, and he could easily take off and help whatever was in need, though it sounded like another Chry. His mind told him no, to stay safe with his little herd. But his legs began to move in the opposite direction. He snorted, letting his herd know he would be back in a minute. They seemed concerned, but nodded.
September trotted along the rocky path of a colorful area, sniffing and letting out soft neighs to encourage the noise. He heard a snort in return, much closer this time. He followed the noise, stomping loudly against the hard ground. Then came the noise again, seeming to be right next to him. September glanced around, calling out.
A weak neigh replied, coming from behind him. He turned and looked; against a large wall was a pile of giant rocks, and there just happened to be a bright-colored Chry trapped under them. September wasn't really surprised, this seemed to happen a lot in Lucent. Nonetheless, this Chry looked very young, and very scared.
September leaned down and nuzzled the young Chry trapped under the boulders, though there wasn't much time to sit around and feel bad for him. He began to nudge the huge rocks with his snout and large hooves, hoping to be able to slowly but surely shove them off enough so the young stallion could be freed. He managed to knock off a few of the big ones that were probably the biggest problem. The younger Chry made an effort to push himself up, and eventually he stood up, shaking his mane and swishing his tail happily.
September smiled slightly. "How to you feel?"
The younger Chry looked up at him and neighed happily. "I feel great! Thank you. Really, I would've died under there." He glanced around, seeming distressed.
September already knew what the Chry was upset about; his herd had probably moved on by now.
"You know, if you need a place to go, my herd will welcome you with open arms."
The young Chry's eyes lit up. "You mean it?"
September smiled. "Of course."

Story: She was a child, a human child. Small, under the age of ten with short curly brown hair, and dark skin lined with freckles. It was a stormy day, she was alone and crying. He couldn't help but hear her, feel her pain, and feel the need to help. The storm progressed, it was clear danger was ahead. He trudged through the storm, the girl hanging tightly onto his back. Eventually, he could hear shouts from somewhere ahead. The fog made it difficult to see, and the wind howled through the trees threatening to block his path. "Charlie! Charlie! Charlotte, baby!" a faint cry, muffled by the downpour. Lightening strikes the tree adjacent to him, illuminating the darkness with it's flame. Thunder rumbled through the low clouds. He continued on, following the sounds of a mother's desperate screams. Just ahead, the sun peeked through the darkened clouds and he could see her. A much older woman, hunched over and crying in the middle of the street. He galloped forward, despite being exhausted and shivering. The woman stood up, ready to attack him, but she instantly hugged him seeing her child upon his back. She took her, and muttered a weak 'thank you' with tears still streaming down her face. The storm began clearing and it became obvious the hell he went through to reach her. She reached behind her neck and took off her necklace, a small heart locket with a picture of their whole family in it. She tied it around his horn, and gave his muzzle a kiss. "You have a very brave heart" she muttered, before grabbing her daughter's hand and leaving for home.
note: hope this fits the theme. He found the girl's home and in return gave home to the mother's precious necklace and adopted the name brave heart.
